- Summary: Short teaser, maybe 1-3 sentences, describing the scene. (This is optional; you can delete this line if you don't want it.)
Aelwyn tilts his head over and then thwaps at the goblin with his tail. "She would not be able to keep up." He rumbles, then turns towards the elf. "That is what this one has been saying." He replies to Vae, "Burn it all -" And then Fidget does exactly that, the Dragoon holding his hand up as the explosion hits the... whatever it is.
There's a crackling of knuckles, and Irshya turns a toothy grin to Aelwyn. She gestures with her trident at one of his shins. "I don't have to outrun whatever it is. I just have to outrun... you." The Goblin cackles as once more little crackles of electricity jump between the tines of her trident. The ball of flame doesn't phase her, and she slowly raises her trident into the air, somewhere in the distance, the prickle of lightning is followed by roll of thunder. "It's going to taste of Rada's wrath in a moment."
"It's not a matter of keeping up, if I had half a mind, I'd be gone from here faster than whatever that thing is could snap a stick at." Eztli huffs, shaking her head as the fireball explodes just nearby. "Well, did that work? Are they burnable? Oh by the gods, I really hope whatever they are is burnable, because I really need to vent my frustrations with this god forsaken forest at something at this point."
WHOOSH. The fireball strikes, yes, and it strikes true. IT disrupts the dust devils and their leaves, leaving embers and cinders everywhere in a flash of fire. The smell of something foul burns in your nostrils, acrid and awful. Slooooooooowly something begins to coalescene from the mists, drawing together after the blast initially seperated it. It has sometrhing of a humanoid shape. And it howls like the wind.
Aelwyn's eyes narrow, widen, and narrow again as the humanoid shape starts to become visible. "Tch, perhaps we all shall receive our chance." The draconian rumbles as the shape begins to appear from the mists. The Dragoon moves to stand in front of everyone, with his glaive held out in front of him, the blade aflame. "Halt, less we continue with more fire." The draconian calls out, in case the creature was sentient.
There is a great whinny of a horse, as Carver wheels her steed toward the great flash of light and sound. Where she had been scouting alone, relatively peaceful rangerin', it would seem that there be other plans in store for this evening. The hooves glow with ghostly light as the enchantment in the horseshoes carry them like the wind, ducking low to keep out of whipping branches and snagging thorns.
The adrenaline that pumped through her veins had become something of a regular companion here, alongside the more omnipresent fear of the unknown, but honestly?
What sort of adventurer ignores the clarion call of a fireball?
Well, that certainly livened up the evening, didn't it?
With the incendiary impulse underway, Faran scans about for any potential sources of secondary conflagrations and brings up one of her hands, fingers curled into the first of one of her arcane gestures in preparation to followup, if the....
need...
.... Oh, hi.
The eldritch Knight shakes her head with a sigh, as her ill feelings about this blighted wood are rekindled anew.
At Aelwyn's words, her hand posture changes as if reacting to his cue.
She can do fire.
With a laugh, Fidget says "I don't think I'm the one who'd have trouble keeping up, Aelwyn. I am after all, an all-powerful wizard!" She says (probably) in jest, laughing. Though she does look the part, flying above the ground in her very wizardly frills, and intoning arcane words while drawing a sigil in the air in glowing blue lines. Could be a hedgehog, probably just squiggles. But the magical effect of Haste settles on herself and her allies. "Now we can all keep up!" Fidget grins and whooshes up further into the sky.
The pale, blue Goblin wrinkles her nose at the smell wafting on the breeze. "Ewh, who died, got eaten, barfed up and died again?"
Thrusting her trident into the air, Irshya invokes her deity's name. Her hair begins to stand on end, and a rumble is heard above, followed by a bright flash of lightning, and a rolling CRACK of thunder.
"Come on, I got MORE where that came from!", the pool shark screams.
As Irshya unleashes lightening upon the foul spelling coalescence, the albino sorceress nudges dear Torrent into a sideling scuttle to open distance from her fellows in case she draws a retort, begins to cycle her hands through a particular pattern of gestures as she begins a foceful chant. Her voice takes a certain reverberation from the powers she taps into, "Ravenous warmth and piercing light, I free thee now from Order's Cage, yield yon power to mortal fight, and Unleash now thy deadly rage!" <halfling>
Her hand comes down, casting a glowing ball that erupts in a rush of bright, near-white flame.

It is now Irshya's turn! Aelwyn is next!
With others taking care of attempting to incinerate the creature, who is Eztli to not join in? The small makari flicks a small sphere of fire to life in their hand, before hurling it off into the distance where the others did, erupting into a large explosion of flames that flicker and vanish just as quickly as they appeared. "I don't think it's planning on being friendly in the first place, but I appreciate the attempt, Aelwyn." The makari grumbles loudly.

Irshya cackles madly at the successive fireballs, one after the other. "That's it ladies, lay it on!"
Sparks arc from the tines of her trident, as she calls upon her deity once more. "Blessed Rade, world circling serpent, master of storms. Hear my call and imbue this tiny body with a mote of your power. Enable my companions to better combat our foe!"
The Goblin holy symbol glows and flashes, and her companions are all touched by a faint light, causing them all to glow faintly. Another rumble of thunder rolls overhead, and she cackles once more. "Now with that outta the way, I'm callin' down the lightnin'!"

Aelwyn strides forward with the unerring confidence a Dragoon with no fear of Fireballs could only carry - steadily and with unnatural haste, he walks closer towards the humanoid shape, swinging his glaive to the side. Fire and sparks flicker to the side, as the polearm slides in his grasp. "This one made an attempt, Spelldancer." He replies.
And then he raises his blade up in the air, balanced by his fingertips - and brings it down just in time for a thunder beat, stomping his feet into the ground in preparation.

Hearing the request from below for lightning, Fidget decides to answer that prayer too. She raises one hand to the sky and draws crackling energy from the air, and her other hand points towards the ... whatever it is ... below. With a jolt of electricity, the spell discharges through Fidget, and her hair stands up in a poof, setting her hat askew. The lightning arcs towards the ground, and through anything spooky and fog-like in the way.

Carver's howl is bloodchilling, manic. Haunting like a wolf's. It's enough that it unsettles her steed who she sits astride, the mare's ears folding back in distress as her companion releases a flurry of arrows glistening with dew from Irysha's blessing and glittering rare colors of purple and indigo thanks to Fidget's distilled arcanery.
Vae, rather unhappily, has gotten his bow in his hand finally. He's taking aim at the elemental and frowning -- but there's not a lot he can do that's not already being done.

"Fire seems to be working well enough for now, yeah?" Eztli calls over to the others who are still fighting. "Hey, careful over there, Aelwyn!" She adds, snapping two fingers and conjuring a pair of flaming lances, launching them directly into the unpleasant looking creature, where the envelope it in even more, albeit short lived flames.

It is now Aelwyn's turn! Fidget is next!
Irshya is still enthusiastically cackling at the sheer amount of firepower being dishes out on the 'poor' corrupted elemental.
"What should I do... oh yes! Wanted to try this out." The pool-shark calls upon Rada once more, and upon invoking his name, a floating trident appears above the group's foe.
It lurches forward, past the creature, and stabs into a tree. The Goblin smacks her forehead, and peers up the skies above. "A LITTLE MORE TO THE LEFT!!", she yells.
It's hard to make out the interior, really, a blinding, whirling vortex of air surrounding a figure of humanoid, somewhat, distinction. Blackened within it, it seems, as it lunges towards Aelwyn. It raises its arms, and twirling vortexes around it form to bring great fists to bear on Aelwyn. While he is able to duck under one, the other connects.

Aelwyn's stalwart display of shining disregard for personal safety is rewarded with a solid punch to the face, making the draconian spin away. "This one is always careful!" He calls back out - and grasping his polearm with both hands, he steps forward.
He takes a rolling step forward, swinging his blade. Then another. Light on his feet, he seems to be toying with the creature, lightly swaying with his step as he brings down the blade with sudden terrifying strikes after each sequence.

"Fire and Lightning seem to work, but it's not really upset by either yet. Let's try some other stuff!" Fidget yells down from her hover point, then makes a quick dive to get a little closer while retrieving something from her pocket - it appears to be a snack since she crunches down on it, then copper and green smoke starts to billow out of her mouth and she spits a stream of acid down from above, saturating the area around the misty boi in sizzling green ichor. She lets out a small burp after she's done. "I need to start candying those things. They're not great on their own. Or maybe use them with cheese dip?"

The air elemental is ...weathering the storm, at the moment. The figure within nimbly moves, but whirls directly into the path of Fidget's acid when they fire it off. It's hurting, clearly, if the csrackling of its inner storm is any indication.
Two more whirling, windy fusts lift Aelwyn up off the ground, pushing him back and leaving deep furrows in the earth where he was forced to gbracve himself. Can't take too many more hits like that, that's for sure. It's ... strong.

"Aelwyn, Be careful!" The other small makari shouts as the dragoon is beaten and battered by the elemental. Switching tactics, the sorceress instead flicks their wrist outwards with a few words spoken, causing the air between herself and the creature to ignite in bright light, leaving the lingering scent of ozone in the air.
Irshya tsks, shaking her head at the Godly pitchfork's horrible aim. She eyes Aelwyn a bit, blinking. "When did you get that badly hurt, Mister I'm Always Careful?"
THe Gobbo calmly walks to where Aelwyn does dance-battle with a nasty wind, her voice softly imploring Rada to bind the Sith's wounds. There's a slap as she swats his thigh, his wounds beginning to close as the light from her holy symbol transfers to the ruddy-scale.
Meanwhile, the ghostly trident makes several attacks, at least two of them making solid thrusts into the main portion of the corrupted elemental.

Aelwyn was ducking and weaving! He was taking the fire to the grass floor! He was - wham and he is sent stumbling back, and another blow follows, making a sickening crunch. Blood splatters.
Raising his glaive, he was just about to swing - before he suddenly swells up in height, nearly causing him to stab himself. "Tch, this one is not hurt, they are hurt!" The Dragoon replies back and then swings forward, stumbling now more than dancing, but still landing a solid hit.

Fidget conjures up flames at her fingertips and sends them scorching through the air, then with a quick grasp at the rod she keeps dangled at her hip, the beams of flame turn blue in midair, transforming along the same line of attack, and just as the flame would reach her target - the last flicker of heat becomes cold. It's a shame that the pretty display is mostly fireworks, one ray landing near the creature and blistering the ground with ice, and another shattering a tree branch in a shower of frozen splinters.

Carver squeezes with her legs, guiding her steed to remain just out of reach of the strange creature of air. She was, in truth, uncertain how much her common arrows were adding to the volley of magic from the casters, but they hadn't screamed at her to egt out of the way yet so...
Twangtwangtwangtwang. The rapid flicker of her bowstring has its own music, its own rhythm. That falls short as the last shot seems to strike something with a little less give than air itself. She squints in disbelief, struggling to recontexualize what is happening inside the elemental in a way that makes sense inside of her nogging.
"Guys? I think we broke it?" Spiderweb cracks begin to spread out from the core, a blossoming light speaking of urgency. Of what? Not clear.
