  • Characters: Venom, Aryia
  • Place: Fernwood Pub, Aryia's Rented Room
  • Time: September 30th, 2021
  • Summary: After a trying time in Charn, Aryia drunkenly returns back to her room in the Fernwood. Only to discover that Venom had been waiting on her in there for her return. There's a joyous reunion as Aryia recounts what she did, Venom elaborating on her small activities during such absence. Aryia suggests a light-hearted outing for a non-existent person, which Venom thinks they'd like. They start to haphazardly begin figuring out what the non-existent person would wear, but the discussion is put on hold for the morn.

It's been a quiet wait.

In the wake of Aryia's departure, some semblance of privacy was arranged, and the veiled enigma was left minding the Mul'niessa's sanctum. Most of her extraneous gear is set against a wall, while she has her Thunderbelcher lain upon the desk, new plating being affixed in stages about the spiral of the weapon.

The woman, herself, is sitting cross legged in the corner in the low light of the table lamp so she doesn't make a mess of her friend's projects. Her undermask is resting upon her pack with her folded poncho, while her veils are affixed, if swept back up and over her hair to leave her face exposed to let her work on a plate of seasoned beef cubes and flame roasted carrots unimpeded.

For the upteenth time, she wonders how Aryia's doing, knowing what horrors she had to revisit in Charn, how it would be if she returned to the Forge... if she would be able to do it at all.

Thankfully, at least, Aryia's projects were squared away before she left. Stacks of pages put into a drawer. Half finished clothes hung up and put into the dressed. Though, one corner was dedicated to a pile of half used bolts of cloth.

And it's been a quiet few days. A day to get there. A day there. A day to get back.

Night began to set in. As did anxiety. Which only grew as the stars outside began to become more numerous.

A drunkard's footsteps come up the stairs. A common enough sound. And they outside the door. Again, a common enough noise, there was a room across the way after all. But what broke the quiet wait was the fumbling of a key against the lock. A click. And the door creaking open.

A heavily scarred, familiar looking mul'neissa with faint bits of pinkish, healing burns across her skin stumbles in, closes the door with her back to the corner that Venom was in. And sets her things down on the floor.

She sighs heavily, leaning back against the door and sliding down the wall, her face flushed red with liqour, and a quarter full bottle in her hand. "F-ck..."

Shimmering eyes look to one corner of the room, then to Venom, then to her desk-

She sits upright, gasping, joy written all over her face as she clambers over to the woman on her hands and knees. "V!!!"

Venom has her plate set aside as the key started to scrape and poke against the lock. Her hand finds the butt of her Draginspitter as she twists up to one knee, on the miniscule chance that someone's calling that oughtn't be.

She eases back from high alert as she probing sounds more like a proper key than picks, and certainly.... less adroit than any picks Hollow or Malice would use, for example.

With Aryia's arrival through the doorway, her hand slides off the weapon hilt and she smiles warmly to await her friend's realization of her company.

It brightens as she notes the warmth light up Aryia's features and she gets her other knee under her as the scramble begins.

Her hands lift to frame the woman's face, tenderly for the... situational modification of the Mul'niessa's complexion, and her brows furrow a touch as she wonders, "Hello, Aryia, are.... you alright? Your cheeks are... very warm."

"Heee.. hehe...!" Aryia giggles as her face is held. If there's any wince of pain, she doesn't show it. Her taking the moment to set her bottle of liquor down and to steady herself with a hand on Venom's shoulder. She skips past the question, instead scarred lips to make their own greeting against the other's own.

She holds it for a long moment before pulling away with a soft, happy sound, her smile broad. "Holy fuck, V I'm so fucking glad to see you!" she gestures a bit sloppily, swaying in the hold as she stays on her knees with a giddy smile plastered on her face. "My cheeks? Warm? Oh, I got burned a little bit. I'm okay though!" <Handspeech

Venom meets the greeting her own soft lips as her hands smooth back the ivory hair, a low crooning sound in her throat with the contact.

There's a little sigh as the contact breaks, and she settles back to her haunches, and her hands settles at the Mul'niessa's shoulders, "I'm glad to see you, too, Aryia!" she replies, her concern slightly abating if not gone.

Ahem, a hand lifts to gently caress the unblemished area of a cheek, then, "You were... successful...?"

Aryia all but drapes herself over Venom, an arm looped around a neck as she watches the human woman a bit hazily. She tasted and smelled of alcohol. But who could blame her, she just got back from Charn.

She grins. "Yes!" her free hand motions as she nestles her warm cheek into the hand. "We got in there, killed some slavers, killed a fucking DEMON, dragged a bunch of kids and people out of the acid cloud it set off, and saved nearly everyone!" she recounts, pumping a fist into the air, her eyes shimmering brightly. <Handspeech>

Venom shifts her position slightly to accommodate Aryia's... enthusiasm, her arms slifting to cradle her to her chest, asborbing the rundown from the flurry of her fingers. Well lubricated handspeec sometimes takes a second to parse properly, but the Acanian is soon on point and she nods, smiling brightly before kissing her on the forehead, "Well done, sweetie..." she croons.

Then, after a moment's thought, kisses her again with a soft, "Welcome home."

Aryia's face was already flushed from the drink. But it further went ruby, the tips of her ears gaining the color as well. Her eyes flutter closed at the peck on the forehead. And all but melts at the return kiss and words. "Home..." she repeats with a slow hand. A dopey sort of smile spreads on her lips.

She reaches up, an eye cracking open as she runs her fingers along the side of Venom's cheek. She pulls it away briefly to motion, "I missed you." <Handspeech>

Venom leans into the hand and smiles almost dreamily, and there's a soft huff that almost blooms into a full giggle at Aryia's shift in hue.

The unveiled human replies softly, "I missed you, too. I still have some of my dinner left if you're hungry....?" smoothing back the Mul'niessa's hair again.

The human's quiet laughter makes Aryia giggle as well in her breathy sort of way, her closing her eyes and nestling against the larger woman. Her ears flick as her hair is smoothed back. She doesn't respond just yet, her soaking in the attention before giving a languid sigh and pulling away. She gives a little peck on the cheek as she goes.

She bobs her head as she sits on the floor, idly teetering back and forth in joy (and stupor) as she has her entire attention on Venom. "Just a little. I ate some, but that was a while ago," she finally answers. Then, adds, "What have you been up to? I didn't know you'd be staying in my room when I gave you the key. Which I mean... I don't mind that..." A bit of rambling. <Handspeech>

Venom gives a little sigh as Aryia settles, albeit briefly, against her, doting silently on the mute with a gentle touch along the spine and through her hair until she pulls away.

With her answer, she nods and twists some to reach back for her dinner plate to present to Aryia, "Here, have all you want." There's a warm smile and nods up toward the desk, "Cleaning and modifying the longarm, mostly. I... wanted to be here when you got back, but I wasn't... sure how long you'd be."

Aryia lets out a quiet breath at the doting, her accepting the plate happily and sitting cross legged to eat. She glances to her bottle of liquor, her gesturing towards it in offering if the unveiled enigma wanted any.

She pauses her eating, a hand setting the fork down to gesture with with wide eyes. "You... waited here for me? I... I-I just meant for you not to disappear. But you... you actually waited for me...?" She sniffles, wiping at the tears that built up. And tiny hiss, "V..." <Handspeech>

Venom blushes a little and she has a briefly embarrassed s-curve to her lips but she nods, "I said I would." Ahem.

The young woman shifts a little closer at the gesture, welcoming the distraction, and glances to the indicated libations for a moment, then reaches out with a soft, "Thank you." before taking a swig.

There's a blink, and a somewhat odd expression on her face before she swallows with a cough, "Ah.... that's... a new one...." she notes.

The drink is some kind of rum, spiced. Good, but a bit rough on the way down.

Aryia gets her drunk self together and gives a teary eyed smile, fork now dangling from her lips. "I know, I just... it feels nice to have something go right and go as expected for once is all..."

She gives a small, breathy laugh. "Not used to drinking?" she inquires, getting one last morsel of food. Sated, but not having cleaned the plate as she carefully puts it back on the table. She goes back to sitting, hands propping her face up as she just watches V. <Handspeech>

Venom smiles thoughtfully and smoothes Aryia's hair back, "I think I know what you mean." she says softly.

She gives a little snerk at the fork sticking so from Aryia's lips, but she looks to the bottle on the Mul'niessa's question, "Not this, no. We drink to fit in, and use little tricks to look like we're drinking more than we are." A pause, "What is this, anyway?"

Aryia flushes slightly at the laugh, her putting the fork away as her eyes flutter closed from her hair being brushed back. Being drunk plus having that done? Sigh. She could melt through the floor right now.

She nods, eyes still closed as she reaches forward to do the same thing to V, smoothing her hair back, before finding a strand and twirling it in her fingers. "I see. It's rum. Spiced. I picked it up off the docks when I got in earlier. It's really strong so be careful."

There's a moment where she says nothing. But she ends up gesturing slowly, "If... you ever want to... go do something... I... found something you might like. A... an airship ride over the city. I think it'd be nice, pretty." She blinks, face growing crimson. "The view. Pretty. I mean, you're pretty, but like, the view is also, and it's artifice stuff and I know you like that and-" aaand, there she goes. <Handspeech>

Venom sighs softly through her nose as the strong fingers play along her hair, eyes half lidding as a little dreamy smile touches her lips, "Thanks for the warning."

With the pause in Aryia's speech, her eyes refocus and her brows knit as she considers the proposition, then, she leans in to whisper, "I don't think Violet's ever been in an airship." before slipping in a quick peck.

The quick peck made Aryia cease her rambling, before turning into an embarrassed, blushing mess. She smiles warmly, ears doing a little flick as she motions in a self controlled manner. "Okay. I... I would like to take Violet on that. I-I think it would be nice for you an- um, her and I to go do that. Does... does Violet have to go with someone else? Or can they... can they go with Aryia...?" she asks, unsure. <Handspeech>

Venom takes another swig from the bottle, a little better prepared this time, then she cups Aryia's cheek with her palm, "She'd like nothing more, I expect." she croons softly.

Of course... Violet is still a joint concept that's.... really only moonbeams at this point, it's going to take some spiderwebs from the two spin together properly, but that's a weaving best done sober.

Probably.

Aryia scoots a little closer, her resting her face in the hold with a warm smile. One that blooms that she could be herself with Violet. "-k-y...!" the breeze softly hisses.

Probably. But such decisions with liquor involved tend to not always be the best. So, the drunk shadow elf asks, "So... how do we start making Violet?" <Handspeech>

Stroking Aryia's cheek with her thumb in little circles as she scoots closer, and her other hand settles on her leg, "Well... normally, I figure out what they do.... that helps me decide what they look like."

Hmmm, "With.... Violet" exposed from the outset, "being who she is, I'm not entirely sure we need the first phase." Venom replies.

Aryia sighs happily, slowly closing her eyes from the motion. Her smile morphs into a timid one. "That's a good point," she motions with one hand, the other mirroring the one on her leg. "So now we have to figure out what she looks like. I..." She looks over her shoulder, cracking open a luminous eye to some cloth in the corner before returning to settle her gaze on a much closer Venom. "... I could make some clothes for her. I've gotten better at it. Maybe... something blue?" <Handspeech>

The Acanian considers that for a moment or two, then she follows the look over Aryia's shoulder. She smiles with a little bit of thought, "What do you have in mind? A dress, or some kind of robe?"

Maybe she should dip into some dyes, though that could add up quickly for an indulgence.

Aryia's hand runs up along Venom's arm, her eyes trailing over the other's self. "... A robe would be interesting to make. Could probably hide a lot of mistakes in it... can go with a scarf I was making you..." she muses with her speaking hand. The drunken elf leans in some. The wind just being able to pick up a faint whisper. "I hope you're okay with me taking your measurements~" she teases.

Venom shivers at the breezy touch, her skin taking gooseflesh as her breath catches momentarily in her throat. There's a somewhat stunned gawk in her features from the sensation, and she swallows it back o back to normal before she attains a rosier hue.

Her voice is a half-note off as she starts to answer, "That could" ahem, then in more harmony, "That could work...."

The unveiled human leans closer in turn, her smile fond, if lingeringly awkward for the earlier display, and her hand slides softly along the thigh beneath, "Always." she whispers, continuing to close....

Aryia gives a faint chuckle from the reaction that garners. She smiles warmly, shimmery irises glimmering with intent. White hairs on her arms standing up from the frisson.

Up the hand goes, brushing some black silken hair behind an ear as Aryia's eyes half-lid. She holds a cheek like so many times before. A slow, bated breath leaves her. "... I don't have a tape measure on me. But I have my hands..." the warm wind smoothly relays, her not but an inch away...

There's a little part of the human's mind that vaguely remembers having her measurements written down, somewhere.

Another part, emboldened by the sensuous touch and the Mul's words, jams the first into a cozy hole in Venom's mind called 'Don't ruin this', and thus, any helpful curtailment of the Mul'niessa's offer is scuttled before properly congealing in her conscious mind.

Her eyelids close as her lips part, the larger woman's head nuzzling into the stroke through her hair.

She shivers again as the caress of fingers causes the resultant shift and flow of hair to tickle along other spots f exposed skin to electrifying effect, and she reopens her eyes to take the enduring beauty of the dark elf's features between her hands and draw her into a kiss in lieu of her usual poetry.
