  • Summary: Within the bathhouse, Slixvah, Patch, and Irshya play a game of Two truths and a Lie, a social game where people reveal facts about one another and try to figure out which is the fib. Slixvah loses while the other two are correctly get their fib past.

A rainy day has edged into a rainy evening. The gloom has chased off a chunk of the Tarrace's patrons, leaving a quiet, if cheerful, scene in the main room.

The baths have been closed, with cleaning having finished some time ago. Just the silent lapping and ripples of the water, the occasional gurgle, and the faint rising steam.

In the lady's bath, a little shadow floats lazily in the deeper end, drifting slowly back and forth.

Patch peeks in, having taken time to change at the cubby before entering. It was quiet, almost empty as the Dawn Elf adjusts her orange top, tightening about her minute curves before walking towards the water's edge. Irshya's floating is noticed as the Bard smiles in silence, toes creeping with her as she tries to get closer, but not yet disturb the waters.

The little shadow moves a little, and one can't help notice the eyes. The Gobbo is waiting. And waiting. There's a quick movement and she surfaces. "Get in the water already!", she says with a laugh, smacking the water with her hands.

Another figure slides into the bathhouse. Bereft of her colorful and boggling getup, she's just here in a pair of blue shorts. Her talons go >clack-clack-clack< against the tile as she makes a beeline towards the warm waters. Her wings are askew and stiff in extended angles.

"Beep beep, coming through, watch your heads, sorry, sorry," they call out, not paying any mind to those present as they dunk full force into the pool of splendor.

Patch had thought she was the hunter, shocked suddenly as she becomes the prey! With the splash from Irshya comes her laugh, arms up guarding herself as she's suddenly wet. It doesn't take much to spur the bard, her tone playful, "Hey, now!" she gets out, but that water also making the pool's edge slick. It causes her to slip, busting her bony ass with a sharp cry as one leg slips into the water. "Shit!" hands on herself as she rolls to one side, literally just holding her bottom and making a hissing noise in pain. "Oh gods.... why now! I didn't even slip in the rain!" now more growling.

The Gobbo's ears perk up at the pattern of clacking on the tile flooring, and she giggles as the bird thunders into the water. Her little tail wiggles and she makes her way towards Slix's wake, but slows as Patch slips and thumps her behind.

"Goodness!", Irshya says, concern clouding her expression. "Are you okay? Irshya can rub it for y..." Her words simply trail off as her cheeks turn a lavender in colour. "Irshya means she can offering healing if you desire?"

Surprisingly boring looking now that she was missing her threads. And looking like a wet chicken, Slix pops back up with a gasp, her wings buried into the water as they slowly unwind and lax.

She glances over, taking in the others. "... ooooh, heya girlie. You uh... you good?" she inquires, taking a quick glance to Irshya to give her a brow quirk and an upnod before adding on. "I kno' I talked a lot about bad mojo, but I got some tricks to fix. If you like, broke yer tail or somethin'."

Patch was clearly a bit sore, but now that Irshya enters and she realizes it was witnessed by more than just the Gobbo, she flushes and can't help but bark a laugh. "Not with other people here!" the bard's words trying to be coy with Irshya, but the wince she's displaying shows it likely still stings. As she notices Slix, she raises a hand, flopping it in wave as she tries to get back up to her feet. "It just really stings!" a lip peeling as she tests her feet, and looks at the water. "I deserved that... I was going to try and flop you!" pointing at Irshya with both an accusation, and smirk. "Gods it really did hurt though. A lot." her feet now carrying her safely back, and more towards the shallow end. "No healing needed, just a bruised.... ego." not mentioning her butt.

The pool-shark nods to Slixvah, smiling toothily, before she looks back to Patch. Irshya hugs at the woman, following her to the shallow end. "Aside having a sore bottom, how are you?", she wonders of the Sildanyari. She eyes the plumage of Slix, and grins, "And it has been some time since Irshya has seen the colourful birdie. Are you well?"

Slix snorts, shaking her head and shrugging as she reclines back in the water. "Well, if ya need ta bum a balm for your bruise because ya busted butt in the bath, bespoke and ye shall benefit."

She murmurs to herself, "Three for one, hell yeah."

Her sky blue gaze drops down to the pool shark trailing along. "I'm good, sugar. For the most part. Wings been hurtin' needin' ta stop in ta loosen 'em up. How are ya yerself?"

Patch nods her head, moving carefully as she finds a place to sit on the pool's steps with a tweak and wriggle of nose. "Things are good.. had a march earlier when I was out with Slixvah." a hand rising to the Egalrin with a dainty wave eye's sparking at her words. "Oh! That was clever. Quick too!" her excitement earning her a wince from the steps. "Ee... I need to not be as silly, and I'd stop hurting myself. That's all."

"Irshya is good. Busy busy but good." As Patch settles into a sitting position, the Gobbo moves to occupy her lap. "But silly is good. As long as you don't hurt yourself too much."

The pool-shark stretches at length, and yawns. "The Tarrace is doing really well, too."

A hand rises and a finger snaps with a point towards Patch with a smiling crinkle to her eyes. "Hang with me and you'll soon see I drop soliloquy quite frequently. Lest you see how sil-ly I tend to be."

She smooths her crown feathers back, dampening them with waters. Yeah. She's smug as hell. "Thankies, March."

She shifts some, gliding over to occupy some spot nearby so she didn't have to speak across the pool. "Yeah? That's good to hear. I like ta come here ta eat quite often after doin' lots of glidin'. I like the variety tons."

Patch bobs her head several times to Slixvah's words, wrapping her arms about Irshya as the woman clamber into her lap. Fingers lace over Irshya's stomach while the bard rests her chin atop the blue-hued woman's head. "I do need to hang out with more people. My dorm has... gotten boring." she muses, laughing at the rhyme before her head shifts giving the top of Irshya's head a kiss. "Thanks for worrying Sweety, but me bum is made of stern stuff. It can.... . Ya know, the jokes on this are gonna get pretty bad. I'll leave that topic alone." laughing at herself.

"The birdy has always been wordy.", the pool-shark intones. She laughs at her imprisonment behind clasped hands, and her ears flick as her head is kissed. "You've got a butt that can take a beating?", Irshya offers, helpfully. "Slixvah can finds lots of words that rhyme with Patch's butt right quick." She snorts and giggles at length.

Slixvah leans back to rest her arms on the edge of the pool, her gaze sliding over the two. She rolls a shoulder and hooks the wing spurs under the lip of the edge before standing straighter. Effectively stretching her wings out. Though, she can't help but bark in laughter at the antics in general, the sound reverberating through the walls. "Low hanging fruit on that one, the punchline would be spoiled," she agrees after pulling herself together. "Weeeell, if ya want folks ta hang out with..."

She laces her fingers together and drops her cheek into it. "I'm an expert hanger out'er~!"

Patch bits on her lip, looking down to Irshya with a coy nod. "Yes, it's taken harder poundings." snickering as she gives the small woman an affectionate squeeze before looking to Slixvah and nodding, smile wide. "Well, Expert. What shall we do now, hmm? Soak, bathe, or?" waiting to hear what marvelous suggestions come. "All ears" wiggling one of her slender ears as if to accent that point.

The pool-shark stares at Slixvah. "What is it that is hanging out that you're an expert at?", Irshya wonders of Slix. The Gobbo leans back into Patch, getting comfortable. "A harder pounding, hmm. Pffffft." She shakes her head slowly.

"Irshya would suggest bathing. Soaking. Getting to know each other more. Laugh." Her hands reach up to gently cup the Sildanyari's cheeks. For a few brief moments, before she pinches them gently, and begins making Patch make funny faces. "Moop meep mooooo."

Slixvah was a bit busy getting some water from the passing staff, her taking the glass and taking a big ol' sip-

Words rendered make her cough vigorously into an elbow. She clears her throat twice, then dumps the cup over her head. The question combobulates her. "Oh, I'm just good at gettin' ta know folks and all that jazz, Rshya."

What /is/ jazz?

"Soaking!" she declares. "And my favorite game... two truths and a lie! Usually it involves alcohol, but basically ya say three things, and everyone's gotta agree what the lie is."

"I have never needed alcohol to have a good time. It helps, but not needed." The bard states with a smirk, looking between the two. "I will play! Who goes first?" Patch asks, bouncing Irshya in her lap in play. "How about you?" another glance darted back to Slixvah. "How do you play? Offer two truths, and a lie.... and we guess?" guessing herself.

"Two truths and a lie?" The Goblin pouts. "Irshya doesn't know this game and would die of embarrassment going first." She makes an attempt to hide behind Patch's hands and arms. "Irshya could offer alcohol if you both wished it. Is no skin off her nose."

Slixvah rights herself. "Never have I! But it lets the fun truth's fly. Anywhoooo~! Yeah! I can start first! It's suuuper easy. I'll keep it simple for now. We can skip the drinks for now until next time." A finger drums at her beak, her looking up to the ceiling. "Aight. I got it."

She holds up a finger. "I've flunked outta wizard school."

A second finger. "I got thirteen brothers and sisters"."

A third. "I'm forty years old."

Patch hears those three blurbs of word, her glance going down to Irshya with a shake of her head. "See, I thought she would give us a warm up.... that's just plain hard!" the bard muses, hrmming with a hum as she thinks. "I wanna say the lie is the forty years old!" suddenly unclasping her hands to tickle at the blue-woman's sides. "What of you?!" a stink eye cast to Slixvah. "You play to win, huh?" winking as she offers her teases.

Irshya squirms and laughs as she is suddenly tickled. She huffs after a bit and takes a breath. "Irshya thinks that the birdy-lady is younger than she leads us to believe." She turns suddenly and nips at Patch's arm, gently enough to avoid drawing blood, but enough to know one has been nipped. "Irshya bites.", she says, giggling once more.

Slixvah sticks her tongue. "Oh puh-lease. It /is/ easy," she teases. "I have a load more bullshit ta flummox you with if I /really/ wanted to win."

She winks. "But I do like winnin'. But not this time. Ya right! I ain't forty. I'm thirty! Young for a egalrin!"

She points a finger to Patch. "Your go!" the rust red and white eaglefolk chirps.

Patch yelps in surprise at the bite, sent to giggles. "Hey now! I am friend, not food! You can't eat me." her smirk growing coy as soon as she gets those last words out. "I mean...." coughing into her hand and banishing that thought. "No! The game! Focus on the game!" talking more to herself. "Okay, here we go."

Patch's three questions: "I am two-hundred and seven years old, and have no siblings." combining two questions in one sentence. "I also love the color red." giving it a try.

The Gobbo snorts at Patch, "Irshya could eat you! But she will not. She just so happens to be fond of Patch." She ponders the Sildanyari's questions, and glances to Slixvah.

"Irshya could believe her age, Elves do live very long lives. Irshya is not willing to call that a lie. Siblings? Hmmm. Irshya believes this is the lie."

Slixvah snorts, her bringing up a foot and kicking water at them with a splash. "Ladies, contain yourselves," she teases.

She shares a look with Irshya, then nods to her. "Yeah yeah. Elven beauty is timeless, but ya don't go for that long without a siblin', by blood or not."

Patch laughs suddenly, shaking her head. "Nope!" Irshya looked at as she bites her lips. "I am not that old.... actually, I am fairly young." shrugging and then seemingly puzzled. "So is that a point? Is it Irshya's turn?" she asks calmly, not saying her exact age.

The pool-shark tsks. "She tricked us!", she announces dramatically. Giggling a little, she lets out a sigh. "Irshya is twenty three summers old. She is scared to death of octopi. And her mother is a sea hag." She peers at the other two ladies, a toothy grin spreading across her face.

Slixvah snaps a finger. "Gah, damn. I thought we puzzled it out," she sighs just as dramatically.

She watches Irshya, squinting some as she rubs the side of her beak. "Hm... damn. Toss up between the last two. What'cha think, Thirsty?" she inquires of Patch.

Patch raises a brow to Slixvah. "I am thirsty for a lot of things. Calling me that, you need to a little more specific." she teases, and looks down to Irshya. "Oh this one is tricky. I know one of them" wiggling her eyebrows as she makes a noise in thought. "Hmmm, I'd say you are afraid of octopi! Me too, they like to cling all over you."

Irshya laughs somewhat maniacally, "Ah ha ha ha haaaa." She raises her hands in triumph. "No, Irshya is not scared of octopi. They are a delicious meal." She crosses her arms. "Now what do we do?"

Slixvah puts a finger to the side of her beak. "You very well know what I mean, missy," she fires back.

Her eyes crinkle in a grin. "Drat, guess I lost out! Usually at this point, the drinks would get busted out, and every time ya get your lie called out, ya drink. But if you win, everyone else takes a drink!" She smooths her crown feathers back. "And the fun part is, ya don't gotta say what the lie is."

Her gaze settles on Irsyha. "Though, I kno' a bit 'bout that stuff. So I guess we all used th' same lie."

"As for now tho'? Hmmm. Save the game for drinks another time." She rises out of the waters. "This bird's gonna hit up the massage tables, ya dig? Just came in here to loosen up before that. Nice ta see ya'll cuties again."

The wet chicken clambers out, and plods over to the back of the room, out of sight.

Patch nods as Slixvah talks of some of the lies and truth's shared. "It makes sense. I thought to use it as a trap, and so did Irshya." squeezing the Goblin suddenly with wiggling fingers. "Because I can't believe she actually eats those crazy multi-legged things!" speaking of the octopi, and laughing. "What do they even taste like?!" a glance spared for the retreating woman. "Bye, Slixvah! We should really get drinks later!" calling after her even after she's out of sight

"Taste?", the Gobbo wonders? "What is this taste you speak of?"
