You and the crew have been hard at work. On the move, dragging the injured. Trying to find a space easy enough to defend while with enough distance between you and the crash site that you are not immediately going to be assaulted by whatever load of demons finds you. When, not if, seems to be the thinking. You've found a hillock to set your backs to or perhaps climb. It's not terribly large but it's better than nothing.

Walery is helping where he can. He's actually fairly solid on fortifications and entrenchments, so he will make our redoubt as secure as possible.

Hanako, for her part, is tending to the injured. She works calmly and quietly, her expression one of great peace. This is something she is familiar from doing in her time at the Monastery,clearly. She soon has a rather organized system where just a couple helpers can assist her in tending many simple wounds. A more skilled healer would still be helpful, however. She certainly isn't a proper doctor by any measure.

Walery's expertise in engineering and in general military theory proves quite effective in helping us set up defensive measures and fortifications. Fallen rocks and heavy bits form bulwarks, and concealed lookout points are built up.

Selerik is doing his part to help keep people coordinated and their morale from slipping. His magical energy isn't the most plentiful, but he has tossed a bit of healing magic on the worst cases. "This is turning into quite the adventure."

With attending to the wounded occupied by others, the remaining survivors are quickly assisting with the defense building. You do have some salvageable debris at least that you used as sleds amongst other things. It's taking you some time to dig in at least.

Kore will continue to work contentedly for as long as there are wounded. She is used to repetitive tasks, and it shows in the way she comports herself as she works.

So far so good, right? Nothing horrible has happened. No demon attacks. You're dug in, the wounded are being sheltered. All that's left is to build a signal fire in due time.

Silly human eyes. Selerik is focusing more on the morale than the tactical situation, now that everyone seems to be mostly settled. He is still fussing a bit at the people who got the goo from the chaos creature on them as well, trying to make sure they clean it off. "I wonder how long it'll take them to get a ship down this way for recover. Hours? A few days?"

Kore holds up a hand quietly. She's staring fixedly at nothing for the moment, studying their surroundings in the way that she usually does. However, as the small woman draws attention to herself she murmurs, "We're being watched. An invisibility spell. Thirty meters to my left." So saying under her breath Kore starts to walk, pacing in the wrong direction as she adds more loudly, "Perhaps I should sing. Vardama might well be among us soon enough... We might as well greet her properly." Singing will also cover whispered conversation, of course. In case that is something she might need to be concerned about.

Walery is checking over the fortifications and defenses we've set up, and trying to be a positive morale builder for the team. He's not as good at the last part as he is at the tactical considerations because he says things like, "When we die horribly, we'll take a lot of them with us."

Good news, everyone! Kore subtly indicates that there's something close by now. 'There's something over there, on that bit of airship wing.' is what it comes down to. You can't see it.

...well, at least not until the bit of wing begins to rise into the sky, as if lifted by something, before being hurtled in your direction.
