  • Summary: Cryosanthia is in Goblintown, with Lily, buying various artifice devices. Culix is visiting family, one of whom is a bar-maid. Aryia and Aerith are present, looking around. The Hearthguard leaves soon after, while the other three meet up. Culix is looking for picks. With Lily's purchase made, they move down stalls and the Kobold knocks over a block that goes 'Mooo'. The merchant offers a whole barnyard of animals, as well as a carved wooden block that says five phrases and a special sixth. Ayria experiments with it, until it quotes 'Taara Loves You' in a sing-songy voice. She nearly smashes it. Further play causes it to record things people say around her, such as 'I Love Taara', and 'Maugrim Mate It'. This isn't encouraging, however she feels it makes a better voice box than ones that make animal noises and ends up purchasing it. Culix gives Lily a smoke bomb, which she eats, then fountains smoke all over. Cryo employs her dragonsbreath oil, to make some performance flames, and the lizards dance until the hobgoblin patrollers show up and make them stop.

'Goblintown' consists of a dead-end street where a number of poor (and, as the name suggests, goblinoid) residents of the city live. Many of the buildings here have been cobbled together with whatever material was available at the time, often bits of metal and stone stolen from the factories to the north rather than wood. That said, in recent days, many of these temporary structures have been converted to more permanent fixtures, giving the area a less 'shanty' and more 'conventional' appearance, interspersed with the previously impoverished look the place was known for.

The occasional shrine to Reos seems to represent the only 'official' presence in the area, with the City Watch seeming all but invisible here. In their place, there appear to be numerous Arvek and Gobber groups that form a makeshift community watch, giving the sense of wary eyes on every street. From time to time, the symbol of Serriel may be seen as well, though mainly among the Arvek, who oft bear it with pride. Oruch shops sit alongside gobber ones, though the latter far outnumber the former; gobbos' nimble minds make them the natural crafters of the goblinoid world.

At one point there were few shops here, but now the entire area bristles with brisk trade of things ranging from basic necessities to the more esoteric magical and bits of artificery. It is said that one can find everything they need in Goblintown without having to step foot in another section of the city, and this statement, judging by the activity in this area night and day, may very well hold true.

We can dig you a hole
Deep in the Ground
Bury your soul down in Goblintown
We'll be lower than low
Spiraling down
As far as you wanna go,
down in Goblintown

~ Traditional street barker song.

It's a hazy and hot day, the sun is so bright everything is bleached from the glare. Towering white clouds drift buy in a busy blue sky. The streets are crowded and noisy, with the sound of commerce and animals.

A white scaled Sith'Makar woman is standing near an artifice table, sticking out. Too tall, too bright. Her youngling blends better, except for being pink. She watches as the child argues with the vendor, over something.

Always it was bright. Always it was an annoyance. It was to such a degree that a scarred Mul'neissa made a stop to get a straw hat to block out the light. How she ended up in Goblintown was a good question. Latey, she had just been wandering about the city. Taking her time. And her time ended up in the dead-end street of...

She looks up. Here. The shadow elf tils her head one way, then another, before the bright Sith-Makar caught her attention. A tired smile broke out, and she approaches.

"P-s -st," she hisses a bit loudly to get their attention, a hand raised.

An llyranesian Hearthguard away from the temple and in her clerical vestments may or may not stand out in goblin town, but the Althean is here nonetheless. She wears a longsword at her hip and a shield upon her back, not the standard equipment for a Hearthguard, but she's different from most. Aerith herself is currently purchasing something to eat and drink, happily so. Other than that, she's watching the people come and go.

Arvek Nar act as the unofficial constabulatory, patrolling in singles and pair, looking for some peace to make. Tall mountains among the goblin foothills, they have maces and clubs hanging off their belts at gobbo head-height as an intimidation tactic.

Not exactly a safe practice. They're easily snatched. Although perhaps that's part of the charm. Their sour-faces scan the crowd. They don't enforce the laws, per-se, more keep things from getting out of hand.

Culix is in goblintown- despite the name of this particular district, and the fact her mom and pop live here, she doesn't spend as much time here was one might think. But, she emerges from one of the areas hole-in-the-wall bars, followed by a slightly pudgy goblin- older than Culix by a decent number of years, to look at her, though bearing a resemblance. "-I know, I know. But it pays decent, and at least I aint likely to end up in the clink again doing this, ma." Culix says, continuing a conversation from inside it seems.

"You could come work here with me, love!" The older Goblin insists, hands on her hips. Culix sighs, and rubs the back of her neck. "Alright. I'll think about it. I will. But no promises." she says, and begins to move away from the older goblin woman. "Where do you think you're going?" the barmaid says, and then grabs Culix for a spine-cracking hug and a kiss on the brow. "Take care of yourself, alright?" she insists, "Alright, alright!" Culix says, squirming free of the bear hug. "Love you ma. Tell pops I dropped by, alright?" <goblin-talk>

Cryosanthia looks around, hearing the greeting, then down. "Aryia, Peace on your Nest." She shades her eyes with hand. Bright sun doesn't bother her, although her brilliant scales are making others squint around her from the reflections.

Lily is on the vendor's table, which is at goblin waist-height. She has a small pile of artificer parts, pistons, tubes, bolts, screws, bottles of fluid. The youngling looks around, waves at Aryia, "Peaasss Knessta!" and returns to negotiating.

"This one wasn't expecting to see you here, Aryia." Cryo continues, glancing around. Other people at her height draw her attention, the Arvek patrollers, the Hearthguard, and receive nods of acknowledgement.

It hurt to look at Cryo. Aryia squints heavily, trying to block out the scales and shifting around so she wouldn't be blinded. Curse the deep sight. The pugilist looks tired, but not as crushingly so from the night at the gardens. She silently chuckles and waves to Lily, her reaching over to pat her on the head as per usual.

Aryia shrugs at Cryo's question, her kicking a spare lugnut on the ground. She points to herself before walking in a small circle, then shrugs again.

She couldn't really see the others, standing next to a living mirror made it hard to notice anything past a few feet.

The Hearthguard returns the look given by Cryosanthia, her mouth a slight closed smile as she happily enjoys the food she purchased. Soon she's also enjoying a drink as well, keeping an ever watchful eye on the goings on around her with piercing emerald greens.

Disengaged from family engagements, Culix begins making her way along the busy street that runs the length of goblintown, hands stuffed into her pockets. She passes under an awning that would necessitate ducking for most folks, but which is at just the right height for goblins, gnomes and lucht, as she makes her way along. That is, until she is half blinded by the light bouncing off the whitescale's white scales. She squints, and then heads on over in that direction. On the way, she produces a pair of glasses from one of the many pockets and pouches concealed under her cloak, unfolds them, and puts them on. Brass frames support smoked glass lenses that protect her own sensitive eyes from the vagaries of the daystar. "You're looking better." she calls out to Aryia, able to see her now the glare is lessened. "And you're looking... bright." she says to Cryosanthia.

"Hey those aren't free!" The goblin vendor scrambles under the table, retrieving the lugnut and slapping it down as he moves back into place. Lily uses the moment of distraction to put a few more things in her little horde.

Cryo snorts, shaking her head slightly, "We don't get discounts that way Lily, remember." There's a reason her leather dress doesn't have pockets.

She looks over at Culix, blinded also. It sinks in that she's partially the cause. "Thank you! Ah... let me do something about that."

The whitescale concentrates for a moment, then her clothes switch from a fancy swashbuckling outfit to a matte black catsuit, the kind stage hands wear. Except on her hands, feet, head and tail, making her look like an odd sort of mime. "just wandering and browsing then Aryia?"

The hearthguard makes her way out of goblin town and back to the temple with food and drink in hand.

Aryia looks down towards the approaching goblin, her blinking before weakly smiling. She raises a hand towards Culix, her hesitating before giving a small nod, the straw hat bouncing some from the motion. She has to suppress a snerk as the lugnut is retrieved and Lily piles more in.

Taking a moment to look away from Cryo, she examines the wares, a hand resting on a nearby railing the divided the selling area and the eating area.

Aryia sighs, both in relief and in fatigue. "S-th-g -ke th-t," she hisses with a nod.

Culix keeps her glasses on, for the time being, despite Cryo's outfit change. It's still bright out, after all. "Visiting the folks." she says then, to explain what she's doing in the area, even if she wasn't asked. She peers around Cryo at Lily and her little horde, and then shrugs, "S'pose I could do a bit of shopping, though. Broke a pick the other day, and starting to run low so I could do with picking some up. Been thinking about getting one of them pulley guns, too." she says.

She looks over at Aryia then, and tilts her head a bit, "You thought about picking up some of these?" she asks, and taps the side of her round-lensed shades. "Save you from squinting so much, I reckon."

"Peace on your Nest, Culix." Cryo says. Lily doesn't wave this time. She's negotiating prices. Her goblin is quite fluent, even though her Ssassa hears only, "burn splodey burn aha bam big badda splode woo splodey bap badda."

She looks around herself, making sure the area is clear and then crouches down and curls her tail in. She's a little closer to the table. "Whatever price you agree on, this one will pay."

The whitescale looks over at Aryia and Culix, "Those glasses can help, and I've seen the pulley-guns in action. Very useful."

"Awrite Ms Tall and White, wez set a price." The goblin lists it and Cryo counts out some coin as Lily's treasure is put in a box.

Aryia considers what it would be like to have one those grappling devices, but then remembers using one in reverse out of an airship. She shakes her head to get the notion out of her mind, but realizes she answered a question with it. She ends up nodding, but ends up pointing to herself, making a motion of running, and then gestures a pair of glasses falling off her nose. "Bloop!" she sounds out, as if it fell into liquid.

She glances to the dealing, a bit impressed the little kobold was doing what she was doing.

Culix ahs and scratches her cheek, "Can see that being a problem. Could get some goggles, though. The sort with a buckle. Pretty sure I've seen some of them artificers wearing something like it." she says and then shrugs. Looking over towards Cryo and Lily, she wonders, "What's she making with all that stuff?" she wonders, peering at the horde again. "Don't see any tripline there, so I'm guessing not traps... though I guess you have the bits there for a spring loaded pressure plate." she observes.

"She's been making all sorts of things. A trebuchet, a crab that walks around. Snake trains. It's a snake, it's a train. Always more nuts, bolts, springs and plates. We have a lot of wire at home." Cryosanthia answers.

"Thaansss Ssassa. Here." Lily holds the box over her head for Cryo to take and slip into her haversack. The little carnation scale hops off the table and runs around Culix, Aryia and her Sith'mom. She dances, something Cryo must have shown her, involving backwards walking with her tail high and waggling about.

A box is knocked off a nearby table. "Hey!" The merchant yells, predictably. The box strikes the ground and makes a noise, 'Moooooo.' Unpreditably.

Lily picks it up. Shakes it, it rattles. Turns it over. It goes, 'Mooooo' once more. The little lizard grins and holds it up beside Aryia's throat and flips it again. 'Moooo.'

"Little Fang," her full name is deployed. Cryo wraps a hand around her and pulls her back, "No. That's not funny."

The whitescale exhales, "Morgan gave her a book that makes animal sounds when you turn the pages. Lily said it would be great for you. This one has told her not to tease."

The pugilist watches Lily run about after getting her box of parts to make more train snakes. Snake... trains. Trakes? She rubs her neck. Ah well. She does snap a finger at Culix, that was a good idea. She'd have to find something that'd fit. Being an in between size was weird trying to find things that fit.

The box knocking over makes Aryia jump, a few things scattering to the floor. She catches something with a foot, then kneels down to help pick it up. Giving Lily the perfect spot to make the elf moo.

She tilts her head one way. Then the other way, a hand resting on her scarred throat. A dumb idea crosses her mind.

The elf takes the box from the pink-scale, holds it up to her throat, and turns it over. "Mooooo," she mouths along with it, snickering.

Culix peers curiously at the mooing box when it falls and makes its sound, and she tilts her head a bit. Clearly trying to figure out exactly what such a device is actually for. "Could use it as an alarm." she muses then. "Rig it up to flip it on a tripwire." she suggests.

"Though. I mostly use thunderstones for that." she adds then. "Nice little surprise for whoever's sneaking about, and sure to wake you up." she adds.

Cryo relaxes, releasing Lily, who stands on tippy-toe-claws and stretches her neck up next to Aryia and mimes for the Mul'niessa to turn it over again. Ready to moo too.

"I've got the whole barnyard of boxes, Miss. Other Miss." The merchant calls out. Handling something is practically a sale! "Sheep, duck, dogs, cat, mouse, chickens, fox, pigs, the lot. This too."

She holds up a carved wooden box, roughly fist sized for a goblin, she leans over her table holding it near the ground. "Pick a face or roll randomly and see what says. Five different things with a selectable sixth." She drops it.

It lands. An unusually deep and hollow sounding voice, coming as if from the bottom of a well, drawls out, "Hello...."

"This one believes they're toys," Cryo says, answering Culix after the offer of a set. Her head turns and she looks at the block, then up at the merchant. "Interesting."

Flip. "Moooo." Aryia pulls the box away before snickering again and handing it back to Lily, "Pfffft... kekeke."

She looks up, tilting her head to the side at the offered box. It didn't look too dangerous, especially if Lily was scrounging about it.

It speaks. She blinks.

Suddenly and incredibly intruiged, she picks up the wooden block, tilting it around to look at the different sides. Finding a side, she turns it uprigth and lightly baps the bottom of the toy.

"Very goooood!" Aryia stupidly grins, a few missing molars shown off.

"Oh, Psh." Culix says then, "And here I was pleased with getting a second hand spinning top when I was a kid." she says then, peering at the moo box. Her hands go back to her pockets, as she watches the demonstration of the dice. Her eyebrows raise a bit, "Why does it sound so... weird?" she wonders. Always a critic.

However, she watches Aryia mess with it, and she can't help but crack as smile of her own, "Well that definitely seems a bit more useful." she muses. "Where'd you get it?" she asks the trader then.

Lily flips the box and sticks it under her chin, holding it against her collar bone with her mouth open, 'Mooooo.'

Cryo chuffs and shakes her head, "it doesn't work that way. You can't add noises to your vocal chords the way Mikilos layers enchantments."

Lily hisses a laugh and flips the box again. 'Moooooo.'

"Adventurers. Adventurers brought it back. Merkabah. All sorts of things." She rumages around, "if you like that, we've got a few golem voice boxes. Ah, here's one." She holds up a strange looking cylinder and presses a button.

"I don't want to die."

"Maybe not that one." The merchant grabs around, finds another more box-like device, but a similar shape and triggers it.

"Hey, who turned out the lights?"

"Maybe not that one either." She waves at her table, "Lots of other options."

Aryia was a bit enamored with the small box, turning it one way and another.

"I'm sorry."

"Thank you."

An innocent "Help me."

She pauses to watch Lily, the grin plastered on her face. The events some days ago gone for now, the present far more entertaining. She looks at the other boxes, the smile weakening as she hears them. Perhaps those wouldn't be good. She didn't want to have a heart attack in the middle of the night hearing those.

Aryia turns the box over to the last side.

"Taara loves you~" a voice coos. Aryia pauses. Then does it again.

"Taara loves you~" The shadow elf's face flips around to a massive scowl. "F-k T-, st-p-d b-tch," she snarls at it before giving a pointed glare at the shop keeper and gesturing to the box. A 'what in the actual fuck' expression on her face and her arm taut, like she was about to pitch it into the ground.

Culix raises her eyebrows at the voice lines coming from those golem boxes, and she scratches her cheek. "Yeah, starting to regret asking where they came from." she says then. She turns, instead, to watch Aryia messing with the box. She tilts her head a bit- seems like the Mul has found a diamond in the rough with this one.

Shen she blinks owlishly at the last phrase. "Yeah that's... uh, not gonna win you many friends round these parts..." she murmurs, taking a step back in the case of shrapnel should Aryia go through with her poised toss.

"Don'tbreakityoubreakityoubuyit." The merchant rattles off amazingly swiftly, shaking her head and waving her hands. "That's the sixth, the side you can turn off or put something in. There should be a way."

"It doesn't sound like the others." Cryo comments, looking at Culix, "Those sound weird, like a ghost giant. That one sounds smug, elfin and female."

'Moooo.' Lily grins at everyone.

"Looks like she likes those miss, do you want the whole barnyard?"

Cryosanthia exhales, "Yes. This one can see a fight to the death starting in the middle of the night with a duck going 'quawk, quawk' now. Or someone's privy trip."

Quack quack.""

The offended mul tenses her jaw, teetering on wanting to irrationally destroy the box or not. Hearing Cryo, she closes her eyes. In. Out. She exhales slowly, lowering her hand.

Rummaging around, she puts a few coins on the table to the stall keeper. Aryia sits down on the ground, fidgeting with the offending side of the box.

"Taara loves you~"

"Taara loves you~"

"Taara loves you~"

Her eye twitches, and she gives up. Guess she was stuck with it for now.

"Could be worse, I s'pose." Culix says as she eyeballs the box. "Could be saying "I love Taara"" she says then. "Least this way, it aint mutual." she muses. She heads on over to take a look at the junk on sale at the stall, now, while Aryia's messing with the box. "Don't s'pose you got any picks and torsion wrenches knocking about, do you?" she asks the vendor.

The merchant shakes her head, leaning out to point three stalls down. Also across the street, one stall over. Up the street, five stalls. "Belinda, Coaly and Kinnier might. I've got noisemakers, small artifice instruments and voder parts for golems."

"That's true," Cryo comments at Culix's observation. She smiles wanely, "You could ingratiate yourself with Akoniril Belvade with it." She pauses, "Perhaps it's a curse. Well, it is a curse, but perhaps it's something to say when you're angry, like Maugrim Resurgent."

'Mooooo.' Lily is behind Culix now, seeing what she's doing.

Aryia nods in agreement with Culix. It'd kind of suck if it did that. With a huff, Aryia stands up with the box in hand. It scraps against the show table.

"I love Taara," a familar goblinoid voice says. The shadow elf stares at the box, then glares at Culix.

She abates, then looks at the merchant. "V-c-d-?" she asks. Perhaps they didn't get it, but Cryo was good at picking up her clicks and hisses.

GAME: Culix rolls sleight of hand: (10)+10: 20
<OOC> Culix just handed Lily a Smoke Pellet.

Culix stops in her tracks when she hears her own voice speaking from the box, and then she cracks up, snorting a nasally laugh that sounds a bit like, "Nishishi." as she turns back and looks at Aryia, "Oh that's just perfect." she grins at her. "Now it's sure to turn heads, one way or another." she muses.

It's in turning to look back at Aryia that she notices she has a Kobold right behind her, and she turns to peer at the mooing reptillian, "They don't got what I need here." she informs her. "But here, I found this." she offers. She reaches for behind Lilly's ear, and produces a small pellet seemingly from no where. "Here, you can have it." she offers it to the Kobold.

"Voice... device?" Cryo stares at Aryia, tilting her head towards her. She looks at the merchant, "Do you have a voice device that, well, doesn't say what those others did?"

"They're usually only good for golems, Miss and Miss." The merchant replies, "It'll be a couple gold for the blocks, and the carved block. Merkabah artifacts. Very valuable."

The world will be destroyed by a box that goes 'quawk', Cryo is sure of this. She searches through her coin purse.

Lily takes the small pellet from Culix. She pops it in her mouth immediately, as if it was a boiled sweet. It doesn't taste all that great. She bites down. Smoke starts pouring out of her mouth and nose.

THIS IS AMAZING!

The little pink Kobold runs around breathing smoke on everything. Just like a little dragon. 'Raaaawr'.

Also, 'Mooooo.'

The pugilist pouts at Culix, gesturing sharply at the box and exhaling slowly. It sounds like it should be whine, but it's just air.

"I love Ta-" Aryia quickly muffles the box. "Sh-t -p." She sighs, putting a few more coins on the table to match what it cost. She'll keep it, since its useful. Mostly.

She frowns a bit. Aryia knew of such devices, but didn't particularly want one shoved down her throat to make it work. Well, this box was good enough. She could figure out how to navigate most mundane conversations with six- er- five phrases.

She sniffs the air, and turns around. The grin returns to her face twofold, her having to hold onto her gut at the sight of the smokey terror. She laughs deeply, though nothing comes out aside from a flanging noise from the back of her throat.

"Nono it's not for-" Culix begins, but it is too late. Lilly has already chomped on the smoke pellet and is spewing smoke everywhere. Culix takes another step back away from the ruckus she has created, and looks about ready to flee for the hills before someone puts two and two together and has words with her about the rampaging pintsized dragon in goblintown.

She is suddenly very interested in the next stall along, and entirely oblivious to the unfolding mayhem, somehow.

GAME: Cryosanthia used a Goblin Firebreath Oil.

"Lily! No! Lily!" Cryo leaps to her feet from the crouch, holding herself in tight. Wingspars, tail, the surroundings are so small, constrained. The people too. She can't fling herself after her youngling like she wants.

There's the silent snap of her restraint. Everything with Merek, Animus, Giggles, the Plane House, the pain in her back. Salina's attention on her once more, maybe. Not having eggs.

"Oh Maugrim mate it!" The whitescale says suddenly, pulling something from her pack. A small bottle. "Like this Lily!"

She takes a swig, then exhales hard, spewing a plume of fire in the air.

Fire! Fire Breath! Breath weapon! Fire!

She leaps into a tumble, picking an open area to land, roll and pop up again, exhaling another gout of flame into the air.

Silence. Screams. Clapping. Confusion. On the plus side, she does resemble a street performer in her current outfit.

Aryia side steps the youngling, still laughing in that silent manner as he knees were covered in smoke. A few coughs interrupt her joy, throat hurting, but she kept going. She flinches as Cryosanthia acts out, thinking if she needs to stop the kobold.

But the mother ends up joining with the chaos. The elf falls back to a sit, silently howling as tears well in her eyes.

"Oh Maugrim mate it!" the box beside her repeats.

Aryia rolls on the floor.

Culix can't help herself, she looks back to the group- and in particular, Aryia, and she cracks another smile. "Well, guess all's well that ends well." she muses to herself. She's not quite ready to join in on the performance, herself, just yet. But she does at least stick around instead of sneaking away.

GAME: Cryosanthia rolls perform/dance: (15)+21: 36

That gets attention

There's silence and a crowd surge away, initially, then curiosity, cheers, and people returning to business. There's something to see. A couple copper coins are flung.

It certainly got Lily's attention. She's never seen her Ssassa do fire breath! It's only been ice. This is amazing. Especially when she keeps doing it and pulls her into some sort of dance with fire and smoke entwining, and Cryo using the spouts of flame to make the spiral smoke trails seems like noodle dragons.

The attention of the Arvek Nar patrollers is caught as well. They appear near the capering pair, the whitescale resembling some sort of tuxedo cat-dragon and the pink-scale complimenting it, as a small dragon slayer. "Ma'am, you're having too much fun. We need you to stop."

Yes, the no-fun police have arrived.

Cryo pants a little bit of laughter at them, tiny plumes trailing from her nostrils. "Of course officer, of course. Sorry to make a scene."

She picks up Little Fang, who blows some smoke towards the hobgoblins. While the Sith'makar is distracted with the hobs, some gobbo children rush out and grab the pennies.

Aryia eventually gets a hold of herself and sits upright with the box in her lap, her sitting cross legged on the curb and watching the scene unfold. It was nice to watch, her remembering the dancing that Cryo did on the ship and seeing it play out with flame and smoke.

She herself tosses a few copper towards them, her grinning all the while. She turns the box over. "Very good!" echoes from the simple artifice.

Though she rolls her eyes as the no-fun police show. She sticks her tongue out at them.

Culix grins a bit, and sticks her own tongue out at the officers in comraderie with Aryia. She, and moves over closer- whom, sitting on the floor, is slightly shorter than the goblin for a change. But only slightly. She gives the Mul a squeeze on the shoulder, "Reckon you needed a good laugh. Reckon I did too." she muses at her then, offering her a smile. "Anyway, I best get moving if I want to check them other stalls before they close up shop." she says. "Been good seeing yous."

Cryo looks over at Aryia when she hears the deep tones, making a thumbs up. She missed it repeating her, perhaps. Cradling Little Fang to her chest she crouches and scoops up a the few coppers that remained and heads back to the merchant to collect her things, and the new barnyard.

Briefly imagining a small army of mechano constructs moo-ing and bark-ing their way across the countryside. She nuzzles between Lily's small horns with her chin.

"This one thinks that's enough shopping for today. Peace on your Nest, Culix." Cryo waves, crouching again beside Aryia. She is a lot of lizard. Big thighs. She's still looming, only less so. "This one will be at Mithrallas Merchandize if you need me, up on the mountain. Be careful."

Then she's up again, heading off with a lightness in her step that wasn't there before.

Underneath the straw hat, Aryia's face softens, her looking off to the side. There's a near impreceptible nod, then another, larger one. She smiles back at Culix, and- not one to really go about patting people on the back- gives a thumbs up. She was right. They needed it.

She gives a small wave in a preemptive goodbye. She box tips over. "Thank you...!"

She blinks from the sun getting blocked out, only to see the glimmering lizard next to her. Aryia smiles, and gives a nod. "P-s - - -st," she hisses, and waves to the two of them as they go.

She looks down at her box.

Fidget.

Fidget.

"Taara loves you~"

"P-s -f sh-t!"

Dramatis Personae

Aerith
A picture of Dawn Elf beauty by most standards. This young elven woman stands tall for her people, with an athletic but slightly more full figure than is the norm for her race. Her eyes are a sparkling emerald green, and hair a long and flowing dark brown.

Aryia
This mul is built lithe and quick, body honed to be its own weapon. She doesn't stand too terribly tall, yet her stature doesn't help with how she squirrels herself away.

Heavy scarring lines every inch of exposed dark colored flesh, that almost a dim grey. Her face shows youth, yet her milky eyes betray a hard life were her self not evidence enough. Moon colored hair comes down to just past her shoulders, it a damaged mess, yet straightened out. The entire front of her throat is a mass of scarring, deep wounds from long past.

Attire wise, she doesn't have much. A simple, somewhat tattered looking long sleeved tunic (the back is stitched together) and pants, coupled with some nice looking dark blue boots that have yet to be broken in. Underneath the sleeves are leather cords that press against muscled arms. Small, cold iron plates adorn the back of her hands and knuckles, the palms and fingers exposed.

Culix
This goblin stands on the shorter side, even for her usually diminutive people. She has slightly wavy black hair with a high hairline, which reaches down a little way past her shoulders, although it is usually pulled back into a high, tight ponytail. Her eyes are large and wide, but still look beady thanks to very dark, almost black, irises. Her nose is smallish and the tip is upturned, and sports only one small wart on the left hand side. She has thin lips around a wide mouth full of pointy teeth. Her pointed ears are rather large, the tips drooping a little with the weight of silver rings pierced through them.

Her physique is very wiry, not much in the way of fat or muscle mass, but plenty of tone. She is long of limb (for her height) and slender, with large hands and feet. Each of her fingers is long and dextrous, perfect for playing piano, or picking pockets, and tipped with a pointy little claw.

She wears a white cotton short-sleeved blouse, which is trapped beneath an under bust corset and buttoned on the front. The bottom of the blouse escapes the bottom of the corset, and partially overlaps a leather belt about her hips which sports all manner of pouches, a couple of frogs which hold daggers, and a purse tightly strung. Her legs are encased in tight tanned leather, laced on the side, and her feet in soft-soled boots of the same.

She often wears a hooded woollen cloak over the top, pale grey, and fastened under her chin with a simple pin. In addition to the two daggers on her belt, she sports two more tucked into sheaths hidden in her boots.

Venom
This is a slender, shrouded figure a little over five and a half feet in height, though the rest is mostly up for speculation. From within dark, tattered veils, a feminine profile could be discerned in certain light, while black silk hair pours from beneath the matching train. Clad in rough, heavy oilskin folds of a frayed, black poncho; engraved brass fittings weighing most of it's tapered knee length hem. Beneath that is a pair of loose trousers of deep, ruddy leather, bloused at the knee by boots best described as leather straps that wind from near the top of the calf to two, blued steel cups, much like the foot of many War Golems, with a heavy, waffled sole beneath. Along the left leg, emerging from the hem of the poncho is a lovingly tooled holster for what is probably a dragonspitter of some pedigree, while studded leather gauntlets protect this entity's hands. In the event that speech occurs, a smooth voice, feminine, midranged, issues forth with a steady cadence, accent too schooled to have a regional tinge.

Cryosanthia
Cryosanthia is an elegant sith-makar woman in the first year of her second century. She radiates confidence, a deep power from within. Her scales are a brilliant white, highlighted by ones which are the palest of glacial blues. These pale scales trace out the scars she used to bear, her hide is restored. She bears two fantastic patterns of these, one on her chest, the other completely covering her back from crest to tailtip. When the light hits right, one sees the dragon within. Her bearing is intense, her motions minimal grace. Two horns sweep back from her brow. Her eyes are like glittering saphhire gems, and when she blinks her eyelids have the glacial blue to them as well. She carries no weapons, and still keeps a tiny bag close to her heart.

Her clothing is various ensembles. At times she wears a layered robe, a mithril swashbuckling outfit, kilted leather, a loincloth, or nothing. The colours inevitably mirror her own. Brilliant white with shimmering blue highlights, piping and whorls. Snowflakes and dragon-eyes are a common motif.

Cryo has been changed, physically and fundamentally by her experiences. She grew into herself under the Queen of Endless Winter, and struggles to reconnect with herself, her body, and friends she hasn't seen in decades. Alien at times even to the sith-makar, her heritage is written on her scales, along with her spells.
