GAME: Leisel rolls 1D8+5: (3)+5: 8

Leisel's body take quite a few of the plant spikes, leaving multiple stab wounds across her body. She groans, almost dropping to her knees. She reaches and presses her hands to the most severe one on her lower abdomen. She pressed, her hands glowing green, "Word's gift, let life flow." There is a slight relaxation of her posture, as some of the pain eases.

GAME: Hun'rar rolls 1d10+15: (7)+15: 22

Hun'rar joins most of the rest of the party and charges towards the plant-heart with his ghost-flame wreathed blade which he promptly sinks into the abomination. "Keep it up and bring it down." he says as he raises his shield to recieve blows.

Kisa's eyes flick about, one way, the other, the other... up! Down?! NO! No more of those gargoyle-thing-a-ma-jiggers! She turns about for a moment and then - "WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Kisa yells out at the heart, and then charges at it. Maybe she saw it before, maybe she hadn't, but she definitely remember it. That and it makes for an excellent warcry.

"RAAAAAAAR!" Kisa swings the scythe, cutting deeply into it.

GAME: Leisel casts Bull's Strength. Caster Level: 6 DC: 17

Despite being injured, Leisel makes her way to one of the other fighters. She doesn't look like she wants to get any closer to the plant-spider than she has to, but moves in to the closest person, Kira, and touches her back. "Green Word's gift of strength, be of use to set things right."

Rae's starting to lay on the damage now. Not only is he screaming at the plant, he's making sure it's taking a lot of fire and electrical damage as well. "Keep it up!"

The 'plant heart' has managed to fight you all off so far. Initially, it's spider legs develop great thorns and more vines and tendrils that look awfully sharp emerge from it. It's lashing out, if one will forgive the turn of prhase, and trying to snatch at Garak, who is definitely, very badly wounded by its initial string of attacks.

It is not an animal. It doesn't make noise. It does bleed. It b leeds a thick, ugly yellow sap when it's struck, this beating heart with spider legs. Those legs and their thorns and vines now lash out at Kisa and Hun'rar, managing to snatch the former up and wave her around in the air dramatically.

That's probably not fun.

GAME: Kisaiya rolls Escape Artist: (12)+13: 25

Kisaiya still holds onto her scythe as she starts to WIGGLE LIKE MAD! She gives the wiggle this way, the wiggle that way and finally she shrieks.

Not because she was hurt, mind you, but because she was free and falling a few feet to the ground. A land and she stands back up, wearing her blue dress (WHICH STILL LOOKS IMMACULATE THANK YOU VERY MUCH!). Her hands grip the scythe again and she grins at the create, "WHOOPS! Looks like you got butter fingers!"

Hun'rar continues to press on, deflecting the blow that comes at him off of his shield and driving his balde deep into the creature again. "Butter or no, this thing needs trimming!"

Kisa whips her blade about in a display of prowess with that scythe blade, she gives a laugh as the thing just can't seem to catch her. The whip of the blade this way, the hack the other. She was using a sycthe... to kill the plant creature. There was definitely some irony in there as she cut in deeply - one might say almost critically - but it was just a little off.

For now.

Garak gestures and the ghostly knight he summoned earlier charges in and stabs the giant monstrousity with it's cavalry spear. With his other hand Garak raises his holy symbol to his lips as he murmurs under his breath. A column of flame spirals down and immolates one portion of the creature.

Kisaiya is whipping the scythe about to one side and then the other, with a drag of her scythe about and a push of a hip she finally sinks the blade into the giant pulsing mass of plant matter. The adamantine blade slicing through the vines and fungus, parting the moss as she cries out "WHY COULDN'T YOU BE A FRIEND SPIDER WITH THOSE LEGS?!" She huffs, the blade still sunk in deeply to the creature as the yellow blood pumps out and the thing collapses with a lurch and another little pulse and a noise of splorshing.

"Ew." Kisa wrinkles her nose at the goop.

"So ends the problem of the Moss gargoyles." Rae says softly as he waves hand and dismisses his spells.

Garak returns to his normal Arvek size, swaying a bit until he turns his lance over and leans against it like a staff. "One last bit of business, perhaps..." He stirs the nearest bit of plant matter with a foot. The remains of a mossgoyle perhaps. "We need to look for coins, or other signs of what could have caused this."

...there is, indeed, as Garak said a coin. A single Altima-era Alexandrian coin mixed in with the heart's mass.

You're able to return to Alexandria and let the (very relieved) gargoyles know of what you've accomplished and from there, also deliver the captured moss-goyle to the Ygrdassil Union for examination.

They may be able to learn some vital intelligence from this.
