"You're shtting me." Melora says diving for the chest.....

Galidor whoas as he sees the treasure chest get up and start to run. He goes to jump on it to try to stop it. "Hey no fair running off."

Serraphine holds the gate open as the chest runs by and she frowns at it. Watching it run passed. "Huh." She mutters, waits till no one is under the gate, and drops it. "I'll be." She fishes out a cookie.

GAME: Melora rolls CMB: (8)+5: 13

You have left channel RPFour.

As Melora dives for it, the chest emits a ?squeep!? sound and rubs for the door on its multitudinous centipede style legs. Runrunrun! Out the door you came in through with a hiss!

Serraphine gestures roughly in the direction of the chest as Melora misses it, "You gotta aim ahead of it." She bites into the cookie, enjoying the coffin-shaped confection.

Galidor skids as he can't quite jump on it. He goes to try to go to get in front of it. "Hey get away from the door." He looks to Serraphine, "You can help any time you like."

When it reaches the closed door, it makes an odd little churring sound...

... the door glows briefly and begins to open.

GAME: Galidor rolls cmb: (10)+1: 11

And when the door begins to open, Melora goes for the door. Not to catch the chest...but to get through the door, and possible get out of this trap....

Serraphine gives a long sigh as she stuffs the cookie into her mouth and then clomps after the chest. She hucks herself at it, if everyone else is going to miss, she might as well miss too.

GAME: Serraphine rolls cmb: (11)+5: 16

Serraphine lands on the chest succesfully!

She did not miss. The chest makes another little 'squeep' sound.

Serraphine stares down at the chest she's laying on, then looks up to the others, "Like I said. Gotta lead it. Jump where it's going instead of where it was." A sage nod.

Galidor brushes himself off and he looks at the chest, "Hello there. If you have a key why don't you just spit it out for us."

Melora grumbles at Serraphine. "This is what happens when you actually help out instead stuffing your face." She then looks at the chest.

The chest seems to've stopped moving and deanimated now that the door is open.

Interesting.,

In fact, with the door now open, you can see into the other room.

There's a six portculli similar to the one you saw here. And behind each of them is a chest not dissimilar to the one youre seeing. These portculli are along the wall opposite the door you're now looking through. One door to your left and to your right exists as well.

"Very interesting,' echoes the wizard's voice.

Melora stares at the chest, then looks in the next room. "This will be a bit of a challenge. Especially since we don't have someone to pick the lock of the chests." She then peeks in the room. "I say we just shoot the lock off the chests...."

Serraphine stands up, holding the chest under one arm as she walks into the next room as she continues munching on the cookie that she's holding in her mouth. Munch-munch-munch-munch.

"MMn. MNmhh!"

The wizard is making mumbly noises to himself, apparently. Still audible. "Note: Bring cookies next time."

Galidor looks around and he goes to see if he can open up the chest to see what's in it. If it's not locked. "I wonder if the other chests will move as well or if we have to play sort of a guessing game to figure out the right one."

Serraphine holds the chest for Galidor as he tries to open it. "Hmm." She continues crunching on the cookie as she walks into the next room and looks around.

Melora has to ask. "Are we in any real danger here?" She asks the wizard....

"I don't believe so," he answers, apparently hearinm the question just fine.

Well, that's reassuring.

Melora says, "All right." She says putting away her rifle. "at least I don't have to worry about shooting anything...""

Serraphine reaches up with one hand, scratching her chin as she holds the chest still for Galidor still with the other. She looks from one to the next and humms, "Well," Another scratch of her chin, "This is interesting." A nod of her head.

Galidor hmms a little bit as he inspects it. "Ah not a real chest." He says as he looks around and he goes into the room with many chests." He smiles at the wizard, "Hello there. I'm Galidor Goldenclaw, Sorcerer of the First Circle, Scion of the Great Gold Dragons, in service to the Silver Empress, the Destroyer of Demons, the trolls know me as Acid Splasher, the undead know me as the Disrupter, the plants known me as the Pruner, and the spiders know me as the Missiler. Are you in charge of all this?"

"...yes. I sent you here. Your volunteered. remember?" the wizard's voice is audible, even if he is not. He's confused sounding. "Potential psyuhcological issues due to method of transit. Must ensure better testing at start..."|

Galidor looks around towards where he thinks the voice was coming from, "Sorry I wasn't paying attention back then. Very interesting. Do you need us to do more experiments?"

Serraphine tilts her head to the side, looking to Galidor, then the doors, then back to Melora, out and off to the doors again. She finishes chewing her cookie, swallowing it, and mutters, "He knows the weakness of the adventurer... Doors."

SO MANY DOORS. And Portculli.

With CHESTS.

"Inside some of these chests MAY be gold," he instructs.

Melora says, "Gold huh." She says as she looks at the portcullis'. "All right. One portcullis at a time." She says starting to lift one up. "Someone get the chest.""

Serraphine looks at them, they don't /seem/ trapped, but she doesn't trust that. Nope, never trust the first answer - she eyes the openings wearily as Granit goes in to grab the chest. She stands outside just in case it decides to go all squealing and running again on centipede legs.

Granit does, in fact, go in to grab the chest. He's... trepidatious, but that partcullis isn't going to stay up forever.

Considering it's a dwarf holding it up....Granit has a lot of time, but Melora isn't a giantborn......

That chest is pulled free. So far, it's not growing legs and running for the door.

It's just...a chest! For the moment. In fact, THIS one looks like it can be opened.

Galidor moves over towards one of the other portcullis to have a look at the chest that's in it. He starts to study it.

Well, with the one open and it's not making a break for it... Serraphine tilts her head to the side and then starts off toward one of the other portculli. She grabs the bottom of it and lifts.

On the inside is a tiny golden statue of a cat.

It is golden, anyway.

GAME: Granit rolls perception: (7)+17: 24

Prompotly, the cat bites at Granit's hand and hops out of the chest, meowing loudly.

The statue cat is now animate.

And growing.

Melora says, "Uh....I thought you said there wasn't any danger here?""

Granit snatches his hand back, and getures. "The cat is animate." A pause. "Quickly."

Galidor looks over towards the others as he hears about the cat, "Oh what's it doing?" He asks as he's is ready to cast his spells.

Melora drops her portcullis....and starts to ready her rifle...

"REOW," says the cat.

It's now about the size of a medium sized dog.

Granit sits back on his haunches. "Hey, beautiful animal," at least he knows about the sucky voice for cats, "how are you doing?"

Serraphine's gate is lifted. The chest there is st ill... there. It does not mvoe.

Meanwhile, the cat is staring at Granit. It's a cat.

It is now approaching the size of a human child.

It leraps on Granit and begins rubbing its (very metal) face on him.

This does not feel pleasent.

Serraphine stands there, holding the gate open, "HEY! Can someone get the chest inside this one before you start playing with that cat?" She ponders for a second, maybe... maybe she can grab a cookie.

Granit uffs. "Hey, oh yes," he scritches the metal cat under the chin, behind the ear. "Someone want to get that? I don't have much time here."

Melora says, "Looks like you made a friend." She says going for the chest Serraphine has the gate open for. "Don't take your hands off that portcullis.....""

The next chest is pulled out.

It looks exactly like the first one. AS soon as its out from under the gate, it sprouts legs like the first one did!

It begins to squirm and wiggle in Melora's grasp.

After Melora pulls it free and walks out from under the gate - she lets it drop back down into place and reaches for a cookie. "Hey, maybe the kitty will play with the chest." Serraphine says as she pulls a coffin-cookie free, "Try putting it down, see what happens?" Crunch-munch-munch-munch.

Bonk. Ow. That's gotta hurt. Granit is being head but by a giant metal cat. It's now the size of a person.

GAME: Melora rolls strength: (10)+2: 12

Granit tries to change things up, to he's giving pets instead of getting headbutts. "Hurry." He's getting more insistent the bigger it gets.

Melora manages to grab the chest. "PUT THE STINKIN' COOKIE DOWN AND HELP ME!" She roars at Serraphine while trying to keep the chest still....and keep a grip on it.

Galidor moves over to help pull the cat off of Granit, "Come on off of him. Bad kitty."

Granit glances at Galidor. "I'd be careful. Be nice -- this is a lovely kitty."

A SIIIIGH from Serraphine as she pulls the cookie away, "Put it down! Let the cat play with it, we can always just block the door out until it catches it." She rolls her eyes and then stuffs the cookie back into her mouth as she starts off in Melora's direction.

"Reow?" says the metal cat, turning and nipping at Galidor.

It's really big at this pooint and seems to be eager to play.

"Mmhmm.. Interesting choices," muses the wizard, his voice audible again.

Granit glances at Serraphine. "Maybe it wants to chase that chest?"

Galidor moves his claws back and nods, "All right if yous ay so." He looks over towards the others, "That could what it wants to do."

Melora says, "Just make sure you block the dorways." She says putting the chest down."

Serraphine nods and was already on the way passed Melora, patting her on the shoulder before taking another bite of the cookie and heading back to the door they came through last. She'll make sure the chest doesn't try to make a break through that one at least.

Indeed, once the chest is released, it isn't long before the cat is noticing it. It chases after the chest, which is running towards the doot to the left where you came in, and crashes straight through it.

There is now a cat shaped hole where the door was.

Galidor tries to block his doorway, but soon the cat and chest come towards him. He steps out of the way to avoid being smashed and he watches as the chest and cat smash through the door and he leans down to look into the hole.

A nod of her head as Serraphine starts off toward the door with the cat shaped hole in the door. She takes another bite of her cookie, the last bite of the cookie in her hand. Clapping her hands off she looks in through the door with the cat-shaped hole as well. Munch-munch-munch, "What've we got?"

Granit peers in through the door hole as well.

Inside the next room is... you guessed it! More doors! Even MORE doors! This time, there's /eight doors/ along the walls at each direction. Perfectly so.

And ebtween them are, of course, portcullis-covered alcoves with chests.

"Mmhm. You are making excellent time! MOST interesting! Most interesting indeed!"

Yay for doors, lots of doors, many doors, alcoves and portcullis... Tirr is well here! Really, she's never left.. She's at the back of the group and glancing around curioulsy with wide eyes as she takes the place in.... "Soooo, best guesses?

It should be noted, the chest and the golden cat are in there. The cat, however, seems to be shrinking again.

...back down into tiny cat-statuary.

Serraphine steps through the cat-shaped hole in the door to the other room. She scratches her chin for a moment... "Well, the last one was 2, this one is 8, the first one was 1." She reaches toward her bag, pulling out a cookie. Then she takes a bite of it before shrugging her shoulders, "No real pattern yet. I wonder where the other door leads though." She glances back into the other room once more.

"Mmhmm.."

the voice doesn't seem to be in a hurry. It's like he's forgotten he's left himself audible.

Tirr glances around, now settling her eyes on Galidor, before looking back to Serraphine "Soo lead on, figure out what you wanna do and I'll follow?" She says and looks around again, eyes wide as she studies the place.

Serraphine pauses for a moment, then looks back toward the others, a raise of an eyebrow, "Ugh, I wonder what that wizard would do at a moment like this. He's so much smarter than us, he probably would know exactly where to go." She takes a bite of the cookie, hoping the wizard will take the bait.

Granit pauses. "I do won--" He closes his mouth, and waits, as well. Though he does look longingly at the golden kitty statuette.

Tirr glances around curiously now and rubs at the back of her neck some "Soo which way do y'all wanna go? I mean, if you've not done it, we can allways take door number 3, it's usually an option I think?" says the tall Sith, who's litterally guessing a random door.

"...attempts reverse psychology to trick me into revealing door five."

"...VERY INTERESTING."

"Ahh well." Serraphine says, throwing her hands up in the air, "I guess it was worth a shot." She starts to walk around then - seemingly at random - tries to open the fifth door from the left.

Tirr blinks "I still think Door number 3 woulda been better." She mutters and follows after Serraphine.

Tentacles immediately lash out from within the door to try to grab Serraphine and pull her inside! She is able to shut the door fast enough.

Tirr blinks, now staring... "Umm yaaah, so bad idea... How bout number 3 mebbe?" She asks and slips over to said door before trying to open the thing.... Of coures along the way she casts mage armor just in case....

A frown and Serraphine looks to Tirr, "Okay, you try opening it then." She crosses her arms over her chest and waits for Tirr to try opening the third door.

Tirr shrugs slowly and eos just that, now tugging on Door number 3's handle....

The door appears locked. It does not budge.

Tirr glances to Serraphine and motions "It's locked..." She mutters and tugs on it again, harder this time. "See?

Serraphine tries to open the fifth door from the right this time.
