  • Emitter: Benthus
  • Characters: Aldean (Bard6) Schneider (Bbn1/Sor6) Kravar (Ftr10) Ionus (Clr10) Godwyn (Pal9) Lorien (Art5/Sor1)
  • Place: Goblin town, Alexandria
  • Time: Nov 25, 2014
  • Summary: A rescue team is sent into the slums to locate and extract the kidnapped children.
  • APL: 8
  • Encounter 1: 3x Blood golems (CR6), CR9

You have been brought to a meeting room where delegates from all the other temple factions have gathered. The meeting is about to start...

Schneider has arrived and makes himself comfortable, leaning back on the chair, which creaks dangerously because he's pretty big. His loincloth is clearly inappropriate. With a small spark, a zephyr of air blows back his long hair dramatically. GAME: Schneider casts Prestidigitation. Caster Level: 6 DC: 13

A spokesperson/mission debriefer stands at the middle of the meeting room and begins. He starts by greeting everyone and offers condolences to those who have lost loved ones in this recent terrorist attack on their district. That being said, he continues and informs everyone of the reason for the meeting.

All the religious factions in the temple district have made a joint effort to locate an apprehend the person responsible for the deaths and destruction that took place in the Temple district a few hours ago. The servants of Elune has offered their expert scryers to locate the one responsible but could not get any information.

So the search has been shifted to that which they may be able to scry, the orphans that were kidnapped. A few of the children did get a ping from several of the arcane casters and a location is brought forth in the meeting room. One of the mages used prestidigitation to bring about a three dimensional view of goblin town, and then zeroed in on a square where there is a dilapidated hut present. The hut flew away to reveal a sewer opening, and following the sewer opening, leads to a darkened area even their scrying magic could not go through. But it is in this darkened area where the pings were registered.

The magic could not determine if the children are alive or not, so the people tasked to retrieve them are to expect the worst. The meeting shifts its focus on the people who will be heading this scouting mission as sending a bigger group would likely be detrimental to all if the location were just a trap.

<OOC> Aldean says, "Knowledge/ Arcana: would the scry have failed completely if the children were dead?" GAME: Aldean rolls knowledge/arcana: (17)+11: 28

<OOC> Benthus says, "And the answer would be no. The scryers could not detect any life in the area of darkness, so they used another method. They located the clothes or items that they were using that day."

Schneider yawns boredly. "Go into sewers, find kids, got it," he repeats back. "What else is going on?" Seems the giantborn hasn't been paying attention to recent events. The smell of wine around him may hint at why. "You're all way too excited about kids playing around in the sewers."

Kravar has arrived.

Lorien has arrived with his weapons slung to his back, a sword between two firearm weapons, a shotgun which is onviously of the make from artificers, as well as a rifle which actually has the symbol to show towards Eluna, while he folds his arms a bit beneath his epic silk cloak.

Sitting next to the Althean sentinel among the group is a burly man with blonde hair, who's been quiet up until now, his mobile expression given to occasional laughter but for the most part serious and thoughtful. "They ain't there by choice, mate," he tells Schneider, the mellifluous baritone marred by a sailor's brogue. He's wearing light chain and carrying only a morningstar, but a few pouches at his belt betray a bit more to him. "There be two maybes, then. Either sommat's blockin' it ... means we be dealin' wit' a wizard ... or the kids've gone to the Grey Lady." He scratches at the scruff on his chin, leaning casually back in his chair.

The speaker nods to the sailor and says, "I suggest you all rest up and get ready. You're going in the area in a few hours from now, while the rest of the city is sleeping."

He adds, "May the good gods be with you all."

Godwyn gave a nod, yet said nothing else. She'd made an oath to Althea to see justice done, yet now that Aldean had said that, this might be about retribution rather than anything else. One thing was clear, whatever happened... this ended soon. Still, she couldn't help but hope that the children were still alive.

Godwyn stood and made her way toward the door. "It looks like you didn't have to ask around after all, seaman. Still, I could use your expertise all the same."

Schneider ehs at the sailor. "Well, anyone fool enough to commit a crime against kids in this city's dumber than a bag of kobolds, so we ought to make short work of them," he says confidently. He nods towards the others, and smiles his winningest smile. "When we're setting off, someone wake me?" He slouches a bit further in his seat. Apparently he has nothing that needs preparation.

The meeting continues as there are other things that needed to be discussed. Those who are to compose the scouting team are ushered outside and left to their own as to how to proceed. Whatever it is they may be doing within the time allotted, they now gather outside a staging point. A mage of Elune is there as well. He nods his head to everyone and says,

"Teleportation is your mode of travel to the area. Quick and quiet, although not as comfortable as some. Still, we need the element of surprise and this will help. Gather together." And with that said, he casts his spell on the group...

Ionus frowns as he stands in the background, "Missing children...in the sewers?" There's a sad shake of his head, "Daeus deliver...do we know how many are missing?"

<OOC> Benthus says, "29 children, Ionus."

The group arrives at the destination point. It is still dark. The hut where the sewer is hidden is off about 60 feet ahead of your position. All is quiet.

Kravar is dressed in his most sturdy armor. The sewers are always a risky proposition, but he owes the temple of Agnoron a favor or two or twenty, so he made his way quickly to the breifing. The warriors expression darkens steadily as the task is described, until he is practically glowering. he accompanies the others and when he spots the hut heads confidently for it.

Schneider follows the others, then, and gathers up when we're teleported. He seems ...well, not very excited. Or perhaps a bit drunk, or maybe some of each. Even in the sewers, little gusts of air keep his hair blown back dramatically. Upon arriving in the dark, he grunts under his breath, and intones, "Spirits of fire, heed my command, come and light my way!" And by magic, a small flame appears in his hand. GAME: Schneider casts Light. Caster Level: 6 DC: 13

Lorien just gives Schneider a blank look, and then shakes his head a little bit, "So much for scouting quietly," he says with a whisper and rubs at his features a bit once they arrive. Then he shifts a bit to follow the others, "What's the plan?" he asks.

The blonde man snorts, grinning good-naturedly at Godwyn as he, too, stands and makes to move. When SChneider speaks, though, he looks back skeptically. "Dunno, mate, th'ones in Genrivia ain't as stupid as ye'd think." With that, he follows the others out, stretching his arms and cracking his knuckles as he goes.

As the group appears in the location, he blinks a few times, letting his eyes adjust. Teleportation isn't news to him, either, but as Schneider casts, he shields his eyes and scowls. In keeping with the need for quiet, though, he says nothing ... and places himself so that the light is behind him.

Ionus staggers a bit after the teleportation before wobbling away a bit to squat, then kneel down. "Oh...I will never get used to that.." he grumbles before looking up, "Plan? How can we plan? Do we know what lies beneath there or where to find the children? I see no other way to proceed than we tackle those dark depths in search of the little ones." Slowly, he pushes one hand against the ground and starts to rise once more. "Oh...I am Ionus, a priest of the Great Father. Ahh, while I have done something like this before, I am no expert -- is anyone here more experienced, or able to see in the dark?"

"Plan?" Kravar repeats. "That depends, can anyone here move quietly? Does anyone have The Sight? Can any of you spot a pit trap?"

Godwyn grimaced and glanced toward Aldean as the others made their way toward the hut. They were a bit too eager to do this, and were more than likely going to be loud about it. And the resident sorcerer proved it, too. She trie dto keep her voice down as they proceeded. "I think there's already light here, Ionus, thanks to our friend here. As for the plan, I think we already went through that. Find the children and find out why that scry was blocked. Wouldn't be surprised if the place was warded." She gave a brief glance around. "There's something that wasn't discussed at the meeting. Arlean and I have been after this particular piece of filth for the last few weeks. I suspect he's responsible for a killing in an alleyway, just in the Temple District. There's no doubt in my mind that these two are connected, and as such, he'll more than likely have patrols down here that the scry didn't pick up."

Schneider shrugs to Godwyn about Genrivia. He replies quietly,. "Not saying anything about there. Just saying that anyone hurting kids in Alexandria is looking to have his bacon scrambled good and hard." He nods curtly. To Kravar, he says, "I think all we can do is look around. As far as traps go, I can see an open pit in front of me. But who does that in a sewer? I can speak with spirits, and find out some magic things, but I am not a scout."

"I follow Eluna. Like a dream upon the night wind, I look around the dark with uh. Natural perception," Lorien answers, then he shifts a bit and considers for a moment, his eyes glimmering with a light glow in the night, "Exposition, love it, can we come up with a solid plan for if we get caught and meet resistance?" he asks.

"Done it a time or two," the blonde man answers quietly. "Can't see in th'dark, no, but doubt there be pit traps in a sewer. Na, I be thinkin' tis a wizard as ye've got, Godwyn. Look ye fer magic." He nods agreement to Godwyn as she mentions about being after their target for some time. "Aye." Then, a flash of a smile. "Well met. I be Aldean, singer o' songs an' chaser o' trouble an' tales."

Godwyn nodded. "There's not much room to avoid detection down here. Stealth won't be an option unless we don't run into anything... which I am hoping will be the case. But if it is, we deal with it quickly so as not to stir up too much of a fuss." She grimaced. "That's all I've got."

Lorien holds up a finger, "We have to figure /how much/ space we will have, we can split a two way formation and move along, try to keep that formation, we come along any problems we can use a small diversion so the other can hit," he says, then he gives a nod, "Which depends if we have enough room, we should, just enough," he adds.

Ionus nods, "Perhaps we let the one who can see furthest in the pale lights go first -- Ahh for pits and traps, all I can recommend is perhaps we tie ourselves to a rope, though...that could add it's own complications."

Quickly, Aldean shakes his head. "Best see what we've got first. If this whore's bastard be a wizard, no tellin' what we'll get, and that explains th'demon, if he be one." As he speaks, quietly, he glances around.

<OOC> Benthus says, "Perception check, please."

GAME: Lorien rolls perception: (11)+4: 15 GAME: Aldean rolls perception: (3)+9: 12 GAME: Godwyn rolls Perception: (19)+7: 26 GAME: Schneider rolls perception: (10)+6: 16

Schneider will, for the moment, whisper, as one might whisper a curse, "Spirits of blood and shadow, aid me now." There is a strange surge under his flesh, distorting it with lumpiness for a moment before everything settles again.

GAME: Schneider casts False Life. Caster Level: 6 DC: 15

<OOC> Aldean says, "It's fine, we've been hashing out a marching order on channel. So far we have: Godwyn (point), Kravar, Lorien, Schneider, Aldean, Ionus (slack). That good for everyone?"

You paged Ionus and Godwyn with 'As your vision is limited to only thirty feet, you can a lot of refuse that stand between your group and the hut. None of these would hinder the group however. You hear something ahead though, something like a drip drip from a faucet. Other than that, no signs of any guards or person who could be guards.'

Kravar gives Godwyn a wry look and then takes up a place behind her. He holds his broadsword in one hand and a torch in the other. Looking back at the rest of the party to make sure they're ready, he pulls off a rag at the end of his torch to reveal a flame - enchanted no doubt, as it doesn't seem to produce heat.

They weren't exactly in the nicest part of town, sure enough. Then again, it was called the slums for a reason. Trash everywhere. She could hear the sound of water as well, coming form the direction of the hut. This was the right place, all right. And since Kravar had already taken position just behind her.... "I'll take point."

"Aye." Aldean's voice is now hushed, and he unslings the shortbow he'd gone to retrieve during the waiting part of the meeting, nocking an arrow from his quiver. He doesn't pull the bow yet, though, and moves to take up a position near the back of the group with the Sunguard. "Watch fer magic, too," he warns as he does so.

GAME: Ionus casts Deathwatch. Caster Level: 10 DC: 15

Lorien hefts up his shotgun styled firearm from his shoulder and shifts it forward, his gleaming eyes regarding the others, then he gives a light nod, "Understood," he says. Then he follows the others when they plan to move, a bit towards the middle-front.

Ionus nods as he bows his head in prayer, "Dear Father, grant me your wisdom -- Light the way to reveal those in direst need."

You paged Ionus with 'You don't detect anything immediately ahead of you, but about 30 feet further, at the tip of the range of your spell, you detect something. It is not living nor is it dead. It doesn't have negative energy, but it is animated. roll knowledge/arcana.'

Godwyn glanced behind her with a nod, then made for the hut. They were more than likely out of time, but again, she couldn't help but hope for the best. She drew her weapon as she moved in, not entirely sure of what was down there. But who would leave what they stole unguarded, unless they were confident they wouldn't be found?

GAME: Ionus rolls knowledge/arcana: Trained Use Only: 0

You paged Ionus with 'At thirty feet distance from the hut, your eyes are drawn to two pools of water. It takes a moment, but your perception is good enough to know that that is not water... but blood.'

Ionus frowns and holds up a hand...then after a brief second, he remembers no one's behind him...so he breaks any attempts at sneakily clanking to the hut, and calls out in a low voice, "Hold up...There's something ahead, not alive...but, something -- and blood, lots and lots of blood." With that, his hand drops down to draw his sword.

Everything is still. One can hear a pin drop with this silence around. And then there is a cat caterwauling in the distance, so you know you haven't been magicked into silence.

And then Godwyn stopped.

That would not necessarily be a good thing, depending on what it was. She made her way forward again, this time toward the direction of whatever Ionus took note of. She closed her eyes for a moment, praying to Althea that it wasn't what she thought it was...

Lorien swallows a bit when he hears what is said, and just pauses. Then he follows forward, "Steel yourselves," he says, as if worried about how they might react, but anyways.

Schneider is here, now he's stopped. Greatsword in one hand, magical flame in the other providing illumination, he waits quietly for what happens next.

GAME: Aldean casts Detect Magic. Caster Level: 6 DC: -86 You paged Aldean with 'There is magic up ahead. Two sources of it. With enough illumination, you see two pools of water... Or is it water?'

At Ionus' call, Aldean moves to hold both arrow and bow in a single hand. A quick gesture and a whistled trill with an odd cadence that is querying, questioning in tone, and he takes bow and arrow in hands again, peering into the darkness. "Pools of something. Magic," he warns the group, a snarl under his tone. "Look ye sharp."

<OOC> Kravar says, "Sorry can I still move? I'll put away my sword and then turn on my ring of force shield" GAME: Kravar's initiative total changed to 16.

Kravar peers at the bloody figures for a moment, then sheathes his sword. He transfers his torch to the now-empty hand, and open and closes the other a few times before closing it into a fist and raising it in front of his body in a guard position. "Maybe I should go first," he suggests to Godwyn without taking his eyes off of the blood.

"I've heard tell o' such as these!" Aldean speaks suddenly with a raised voice, letting the bow and arrow fall with a clatter to the ground at his feet and reaching for the morningstar at his hip. "Constructs o' blood! Magic'll avail ye naught! Best bet be a blunt weapon, not a blade, but they ain't invincible!" With that, any doubts as to the sailor's line of work are likely immediately banished as he raises his baritone voice in a rousing call to arms, meant to inspire and encourage.

Schneider peers sidelong at Aldean, but shrugs as the fellow suggests blunt weapons. "Haven't got any," he says. But he's got javelins. Pulling one from a quiver at his hip, he charges it with magical energy, which flows across it like flame, and he hurls it energetically. A little too energetically, it seems, because it flies right over the heads of the creatures.

It is now Blood of Innocents' turn! Godwyn is next!

The creature struck by Kravar breaks out a psychic backlash. You hear the screams of pain and agony of the people's essence trapped within the monsters. Some of you are even familiar with the voices. For those from the temple district, these are voices of your comrades who have gone missing in action during the chaotic event.

Now fully congealed, the monsters of blood begin to act. They do not respond to the questions raised to them. They don't even think. They merely act on what was instructed to them. So they move in to the closest person that is near them, and that person being Godwyn. All three converge on her, and attack..

Godywn's ears burned from something that she really shouldn't have been able to hear.

The deaths at the temple district, the attack... that was planned as well, from the start! Godwyn's eyes narrowed, her blood running cold. "You bastard." She made a slight shuffle-step forward and rammed her right fist into the nearest construct. The creature seemed to notice her though, and moved out of the way. Her next hit however landed square in its jaw, or rather where a jaw would be if this thing were actually alive. "You will pay for this!"

GAME: Lorien's initiative total changed to 10. <OOC> Lorien says, "I wish to attempt and use a check knowledge-wise and see if there's a way to fix the construct." <OOC> Lorien says, "Like, free it without destroying it." <OOC> Lorien says, "Should roll spellcraft or arcana?" <OOC> Benthus says, "Both actually. Lorien waits as the creature comes to view and lowers his shotgun from his shoulder, then he seems to consider for a moment while the others begin to take and attack. He might recognize the one or two perhaps not all, he's around oft. But, that matters little to him, instead all he knows is that it is likely in pain from that psychic backlash he felt, "Shouldn't we try and find a way to break whatever enchantment it holds?" he asks, "No telling what... Actually trying and manage to destroy it will do," he adds. Then he frowns, "Don't give in to rage." That towards Godwyn, while he considers his various options.

I can do that yes?" GAME: Aldean casts Mirror Image. Caster Level: 6 DC: 16 GAME: Aldean rolls 1d4+1: (1)+1: 2

A raised hand in acknowledgement is all Ionus gets, so busy is Aldean with his own brand of magic, but the call to arms shifts just a little as he frowns, a curious double-voicing effect that both shifts the cadence and not. So subtle is the effect that it's hard to tell what just happened, but two exact replicas of the bard's image appear around him, and he moves to close with the blood-creatures.

Schneider prefers hitting stuff from far away, because that's more of a magic thing, but all three enemies are in melee and with the ebb and flow, it's hard to really get a clear shot. But unlike most sorcerers, Schneider has no fear of going toe to toe with an enemy, and he boldly waltzes in, flames running up and down the edge of his greatsword, and takes a mighty swing at one of the creatures. "Take that!" he declares boldly.

<OOC> Kravar will full attack again this time using my shield...2 shield slams + 2 unarmed strikes - if I hit and my shield bash is higher than cmd I'll try to knock it prone GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+15: (6)+15: 21 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+15: (7)+15: 22 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+10: (5)+10: 15 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+10: (14)+10: 24 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d4+7: (2)+7: 9 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d3+5: (2)+5: 7 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d3+5: (1)+5: 6 GAME: Kravar rolls 2d6: (10): 10

GAME: Kravar rolls intimidate+2: (15)+17+2: 34

Kravar uses his invisible shield and a forearm to ward off the blows of the constructs. As soon as he sees an opening he pounds his invisible shield into the creature's thigh, trying to make it stumble. It doesn't seem to have much affect. But then he follows up by another kick. And THEN he follows with a punch. The rain of blows proves too much for the construct. "Hah!" Kravar bellows, a joyous sound. "Is that first blood - or LAST??"

It is now Blood of Innocents' turn! Lorien is next!

<OOC> Benthus says, "Attacking Kravar, full attack." GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (2)+10: 12 GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (4)+10: 14 GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (13)+10: 23 GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (4)+10: 14

Each hit that the blood constructs take produces a psychic backlash that causes those nearby to hear the pain and agony of those people whose blood has been drained out of them to form these creatures.

The three guardians once again attack Kravar but all of them miss.

GAME: Benthus advances the initiative order.

     Round Three - Init 10.
It is now Lorien's turn! Godwyn is next!

<OOC> Lorien says, "Ok can I attempt to hug a construct?" <OOC> Benthus says, "It might be a bit dangerous to do that right now. But it is your choice." <OOC> Lorien says, "I will try it." GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (2)+10: 12 (Construct miss) GAME: Lorien rolls cmb+2: (2)+4+2: 8 (Grapple failed)

Lorien looks a bit saddended by it all then the next psychic backlash comes. Then he moves forward a bit and opens up his arms, "I think it really just needs a hug," he says, even as it tries lashing at him. He manages to try giving it a tight hug as he said but it's not quite rough enough to hold it in place. It's hard to say if this is really the best idea he's had all day.

GAME: Benthus advances the initiative order.

     Round Three - Init 10.
It is now Godwyn's turn! Aldean is next!

<OOC> Godwyn says, "Grapple attempt. Let's hope I can do a bit better." GAME: Godwyn rolls CMB: (5)+12: 17

Godwyn does however think the attempt to make one of them immobilized however is a good idea. So she makes her way to the one attacking their basher, and makes to pull his arms back behind him. The problem? It's blood. Blood is slippery and slick, even when congealed. She can't get a good purchase, try as she might. "Sit still already!"

     Round Three - Init 5.
It is now Aldean's turn! Ionus is next!

<OOC> Aldean says, "5' step, swift action to activate Arcane Strike, and attack." GAME: Aldean rolls weapon3+2+1: (8)+8+2+1: 19

Aldean shudders at the wails of pain, his ears ringing, but that only makes him want to make it stop the more. Stepping over the inanimate puddle, he raises his morningstar to strike, the head of it beginning to glow a deep green even as the call to arms goes on, exhorting his companions. Sadly, the shudder's enough to make his swing go wide, and he shakes his head sharply.

Schneider is a strong fighter in melee, for a sorcerer, and few enough would face him toe to toe. He delivers a wicked strike to the construct with his flaming blade. It would have killed most typical fighters, but these are made of strange and magic stuff. Which makes it odd that Schneider is using his flaming sword on it. But life is strange.

     Round Four - Init 16.
It is now Kravar's turn! Blood Of Innocents is next!

Kravar turns to look between the two remaining creatures. He pivots and then tries to smash Aldean's opponent with his shield. Then he punches it. Finally he lowers a shoulder and slams the broad side of his shield into the thing, causing it to stumble back into Aldean and then fall. "Now - get it!" he calls.

GAME: Benthus rolls 1d20+10: (8)+10: 18

The constructs continue to follow the orders that was placed upon it and attack the first creature that comes into their presence. Kravar being that person, they engage it until he is dead or they are destroyed... One of the construct attacks him twice but misses. The second one that fell prone stands up to a battery of fists and blunted weapons, but it manages to stand still. It attacks Kravar also but misses.

Okay, that didn't work. So then!

She turned toward Lorien and blinked as he kept on hugging the construct. Even as it drained him of his blood. She huffed and moved toward the thing. Tortured as it was, they couldn't be disabled or deactivated normally. She saw that now. So with a far calmer expression, she tapped the living blood doll on its right shoulder.

As it turned its head, she crammed her right fist into the center of its face, followed directly by a left-side cross. "Leave it, Lorien! This is the only way!"

GAME: Benthus advances the initiative order.

     Round Four - Init 5.
It is now Aldean's turn! Ionus is next!

<OOC> Aldean says, "Another attack, swift for arcane strike" GAME: Aldean rolls weapon3+2+1+1: (2)+8+2+1+1: 14

Without missing a beat, Aldean strikes the construct with a single blow as it tries to get up, and /this/ one connects. It leaves him out of position, though, and the thing dodges the poorly-aimed strike easily enough.

GAME: Benthus advances the initiative order.

     Round Four - Init 4.
It is now Ionus' turn! Schneider is next!

<OOC> Ionus will...ignore Aldean's statement and TRY spiritual weapon Ionus pages: mostly because there's no hint of how useful Purify Food & Drink could ever be in this sort of a situation :( GAME: Ionus casts Spiritual Weapon. Caster Level: 10 DC: 16

Ionus calls upon the power of his deity once again, this time a shining longsword shimmers into being swinging through the fallen mass of blood only to dissipate and reform around the creature without any damage.

GAME: Benthus advances the initiative order.

It is now Kravar's turn! Blood Of Innocents is next!

<OOC> Kravar says, "Same thing :)" GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+16: (16)+16: 32 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+16: (2)+16: 18 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+11: (18)+11: 29 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d20+11: (6)+11: 17 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d4+7: (4)+7: 11 GAME: Kravar rolls 1d4+7: (1)+7: 8

Kravar eyes the construct as it rises. He slams his shield into it's center, finally finishing it off. "What WERE these things?" he asks. Even though he suspects he already knows. Elementals. Its always Elementals.

Godwyn grimaced. "Those were the people that died in the attack on the district." She clenched her firsts. "Like I said, stealth is not an option. He knows we're coming now, and if he didn't... he will soon."

Lorien nods a bit, and from his hug he follows the others then, blinking a bit as they move about.

Ionus grunts and nods, "This creature is most vile and must be vanquished indeed."

The Sentinel made her way toward the hut. "The children come first. If you can get them away from him, do so. I'll be going after Terrence. I made a vow to Althea that I'd either bring him in or send him to the Harpist." Her eyes narrowed. "It appears he's chosen the second option..."

Aldean's scowl is night-black, and he lets the call to arms fade as he lowers the bloodied morningstar, staring at the inanimate pools of blood. "Aye. This whore's bastard needs a good arse-kickin', an' I mean t'give it to 'im." With that, he turns and grabs the dropped bow and arrow from where he'd left them on the cobblestones. The arrow goes back in the quiver, the bow over his back, and the morningstar gets cleaned with a rag before being hooked back on his belt.

As the group proceeds down the sewer opening and into the sewer itself, there is a long narrow tunnel heading for who knows how long. You begin to follow the passage way for what seems like hours, until you come upon a large cavern to the side of the sewer lines. It looks like a fissure on the earth broke through the sewer lines and this fissure leads to that large cavern. As you venture forth, there are many screams to be heard, Children screams. One of the child can be heard pleading. "No more, please! No, more!" It is a girl's scream.

At the background of the little girl's scream is a laugh. An evil... lustful laugh....
