The inn's main room is large yet cosy, with plaster walls and a low ceiling supported by sturdy oaken beams. The decor is sparse: there's little other furniture save for a few rough-hewn wooden tables and chairs, and the only real object of 'ornamentation' is the large, moth-eaten moose head that's set above the kitchen door at the far end of the room. Still, the inn is pleasant in a simple, rustic way, and the delicious smell of food cooking makes it all the more inviting; the place seems to be more of a restaurant than a tavern, and a bar is nowhere in sight.
The innkeeper's counter sits in the east corner, within a few paces of the main entrance. Behind the counter is a small storeroom where one can purchase traveling supplies. The west corner of the room is occupied by a spiral staircase that leads to the second storey.

Kravar finds an empty table near the wall, taking a few minutes to shrug off weapons and other gear and setting them down where it's out of the way and he can keep an eye on it all. Then he sits down and looks around for a server.

The doorway opens and a small flood of people enter. The first pair are clearly guards, dressed in veryvery well made chain of an Elven design, thought one is clearly human and the other a mix.. though a mix of what would be harder to tell at first glance. Following these two tall males, are a group of three, two woman and a male, the women are tall and willowy dressed in robes with long hair braided down there backs, one clearly carries a weapon, another a musical case, and the male is smaller than his two companions much smaller but huge in that.. not quick human way, though his bread is very short, giving an idea one a mix once more. Then comes another small group of five, dressed in cleric vestments, mostly male, but the center of the group is the most attention gathering.

Small and delicate dressed in flowing robes of white and silver, with veils that cover everything but the most intense of violet eyes.. this is the one who seems to be in charge as she touches one of her companions and they all move towards one of the group of tables towards the back..

Kravar turns his head (and he's likely not the only one) to watch the small procession, watching some of the warriors with professional interest, the women with less than professional interest - although he has the grace to only glance over them and not leer - and then grabs the elbow of a serving boy who hurries in that direction, muttering something into his ear and waiting for the poor lad to nod before letting him go.

The smaller woman who for whatever reasons is the only one hiding features and form settles in the corner of smallest of the tables, waving most of the others to the larger table where they settle and start talking in soft voices, though it's clear atleast a couple of them are couples by the way they lean close together. This leaves Drake alone with one female companion who seems to be talking to her softly in some lyrical language but stops and pulls away with a tiny pout when the server comes over. With a short nod from Drake her companion moves to the larger table and takes the server with her.

For those who are watching or who notice such things, the shoulders of the cloaked figure seems to relax when the group is settled and ordering..

Kravar's expression darkens slightly and he shoots the server a look of irritation when the boy sensibly serves the larger and more elegant group first. By the time he finally gets his food, what looks to be a steaming bowl of porridge, Kravar has calmed down and looks more curious than anything.

Well the server takes the order of the large group before serving Kravar, but it takes much longer before the groups food arrives, including a small group of plates to that smaller table and some soft words from Drake, the words make the boy shiver and blush before he nods and glances over towards Kravar, a slight flush coming darker as he nods to the tiny woman again and then slips back over towards Kravar. "Lunch and whatever else you might need is taken care of.." The boy's voice shakes, but he also seems to make it clear that Kravar should not take advantage of that offer! He then waits to see if the warriors wants anything else before slipping back to the larger table to check and then making his rounds again.

Kravar looks surprised, but only for a moment. "In that case, bring me a mug of ale." He turns back towards the small woman and gives her a smile. "Might I join you?" he calls out to her, taking up his bowl in one of his hands, then glances over at his gear, planning how to grab the entire pile with his other hand. Only then does he think to look at her again, and also glance at the rest of her party, to make sure they have no objections.

Drake glances up at Kravar's call and if he can read eyes, she smiles as she dips her head towards him. Her group look up and atleast three frown but they glance at Drakes nod and sit back into there chairs that they were about to rise from. Once her group is not about to do something silly the chair near but not to near is slide out by.. probably her foot.

Kravar manages to collect the sling attached to his shield, a hook on his bow case and one of the straps of his pack in his free hand, then brings the entire load over to Drake's table. He dumps the gear next to the offered chair, carefully sets down the bowl with both hands and then eases into the seat. The server manages to piece together what happened and delivers the ale to Kravar's new spot, which he accepts and then drinks with a sigh. "My thanks," he grins at Drake. "I'm Kravar of Stormgarde."

Those eyes watch Kra get settled and there is a spark of amusement at something or another. But after he settles and introduces himself, she dips her chin once more and those eyes smile as she offers in a voice that is power, warmth, sensual and lyrical tones mixed into a whisper of sound, "A pleasure to meet you Kravar of Stormgarde, I am al'Drake of Llyranost..." If he knows Dawn Elfs it's odd that she doesn't offer other names as well.

Kravar pauses with his spoon halfway to his mouth. "al'Drake," he repeats, brow wrinkling. "Hmm. Well-met." He takes the spoonful, then leans back, his gaze panning across her party. "And these are your...attendants? Travelling companions?"

The small figure tilts her head to the side as she catches his pause and there is a slightly wrinkle where her nose should be, the movement shown in the change of her eyes before she nods once more. "Or Drake, I have learned that many enjoy one name, and while eating I see no reasons for titles.." She must mean the lack of saying Priestess if her robes can be read correctly. "Caravan companions, temple travelers, and.. an attendant.." The last is said with both amusement and a a tone that some might consider a grump, if the voice didn't sound more like music than words.

Kravar glances at each of the other elves in turn, then glances back at Drake. "I think I can guess which is which," he remarks, then turns squarely to face her. "Temple? You are a priestess then?" He gives her robes another once-over. "Seems there's some need for your kind in the city lately."

Althea, there is always a need for the healing that she can bring.." Drake says with another dip of her head, but her eyes ask a question before she speaks, "But, by your sound there is something more to you comment. I have not heard rumors from the city in the last few days..." She seems to leave it open for him to offer rumors as a small cup appears in her hands and is slipped under the veil before appearing again. Her fingers are not covered as she touches the cup, they are pale and elegant and if one watches, there is a soft glow to the pale skin.. rumor of her people, truth for her, it is oddly enough very noticeable once noticed in the slight darker light of the tavern.

Kravar can't stop looking at Drake and her glow, it's true, but he isn't familiar enough with the different varieties of her people to know how unusual this is. Instead he answers her question, nodding thoughtfully. "Yes...some madness grips the city. Commoners attack each other without provocation, riots erupt in the markets, fighters murder each during duels." He shakes his head. "Some foul curse or other, I'm sure of it."

Drake's eyes narrow and then widen and then become thoughtful, it's not a quick motion, but blends from one to the other as another cup is brought into her veils and she seems to sip and ponder before she speaks, "Mmmm, I had not heard of such, when we decided to come this way, it was my hopes to settle for awhile, sending out out-riders and adventures to return with those things sought. But clearly Althea's blessings are in great need.." The cup appears again on the table as she turns her head to the side and turns those eyes back to Kravar, "Are you coming or going from the city?"

Ferawyn has arrived.

Kravar thinks over the question. "I had a small task to attend to outside of the walls," he explains. "But I'll be returning shortly. Provided they allow people to enter," he adds, then runs his gaze over the nearby elves again. "If you're looking for adventurers, you'll find many in Alexandria," he assures her. "Provided you can properly motivate them to serve you."

Outside the Inn, a sudden great THUMP! sounds, followed quickly by an AEUUUGGG! The latter is the sound of a wounded man, a throatful cry-out in the midst of the day. Silence, like a blanket, follows the sudden noise outside, and then the Innkeep is pushing his papers aside at his station, and frowning at the entryway. He's an older man, though set of shoulder, and has lived out this way for...some time. "What the blazes? Anyone need help out there?" he asks, raising his voice.

Ferawyn was.....starting to enter the Inn when she hears the shout from outside. Rather than completely open the door and enter, she exits almost immediately, the door slamming unintentionally behind her.

Drake is about to say something but the sounds cause attention and as she whispers, her voice for now probably would not be heard, but one of the guards with her glances towards the small table where she sits with Kravar and at a nod from the tiny cloaked figure moves to stand and do what guards do. As for the tiny cleric, she simply smiles towards Kravar with her eyes, knowing as a fighter he might want to look into things. This means the she draws into the shadows for a small time..

Kravar picks up his shield and then heads out of the door, his expression already wary. "What now...?" he muses.

Silence. Silence meets the innkeep's request, and he puts down his reading glasses onto the counter in front of him. A moment more and he's jogging towards the door after Kravar...

It doesn't take much. Kravar doesn't even need to step outside--on the steps of the Inn lies a sun-browned face, weathered from hard work...and now slack-jaw'd...and staring vaguely up at the warrior. With...

"Lad's still alive...I think," from the innkeep, sounding hollow. "Carry him inside, lad--I'll fetch his cart. ...Stableboy! Ruben!" he yells, and steps out into the open and out of the Inn.

The guard that had headed to the door at Drake's nod is tall enough to get a good look and also moves to help Kravar or whoever picks the lad up and heads back inside, but it's clear he's been with Drake to long to really listen to the Inn Keeper before instead of putting the lad somewhere in the back, he instead will force the issue, politely and bring the lad closer to the cloak and veiled figure of Drake.

Drake watches but is already slipping her hands into her robe and moving so the lad can be settled down close before she kneels or leans close and takes time to find his wounds.. without a word for now, those violet eyes doing all the talking needed for another of her party.. there was a large group at a large table at the back, comes over and lays some cloth down next to her, blinding white cloth from the best of weavers..

GAME: Drake rolls heal: (2)+8: 10

Kravar stoops down to help the lad. "Boy!" he calls loudly as he waits for Drake's guard to get a grip. Then Kravar lifts. "Who did this to you?" He backs into the inn, looking around for a place to set the injured boy down.

Ferawyn walks in behind the smaller lad and tilts her head towards the innkeeper. "Do you know what happened to him?" She says as she walks over to look at the grass stains on the boy.

The innkeep waves the guard on, distractedly. If someone can help the lad, he's not going to fight it. He steps out into the sunlight, though, and begins barking orders. You can hear some of it as other voices pick up outside as the sleepy town as it reacts to the sudden visitor...

"...Wardens were supposed to..."

"Ruben!"

"...saw him coming up..."

"...Wardens..."

And on it goes, the Innkeep's voice getting louder. He sets a hand on Ferawyn's shoulder and shakes his head, "Tryin to find out. ...Ruben! There you are..." he says, and, "We'll see to the cart, miss. ...you...sit on inside. And--" he takes a closer look at the sildanyari, shakes his head, "Ya might ought to let the 'Locals' know about this, if you know what I mean..."

The young lad, when he's laid down on the cloth, appears beaten badly. It's clear if he doesn't receive help, he'll not make, or survive, a trip to Alexandria. His clothes are local and worn, and a closer look shows callouses on his sun-tanned hands.

It is not that Drake ignores either the Wild Elf, nor the Human, nor her guards/attendants/whoever they might be, but she is intent on the boy that they have placed before her. A soft sigh, almost like a musical note comes as she slowly allows her hands to slip from the robes, the long pale fingers glowing softly in the light, the ghostly aura hover/shimmering on the skin as she gently lays her hands over the worse of the wounds.. ignoring the blood that slowly seeps over the white, that ghostly glow taking on a tiny hint of red as anyone watches.

Another sigh and a tilt of Drake's head and those violet eyes seem to take on a far away look, growing darker in color as her whispered words can be picked up by those near, "Althea, the bringer of peace and change, I call on thee to heal this boy, for he is in need and has not brought the fates on himself.." It's.. in common but not really, the voice blends the words into music, into lyrical magical power as she seems to glow a little brighter.. though most all is lost within the robes and veils.

Kravar stares at the boy, taking in his wounds, then slowly turns his gaze on Drake. Kravar falls silent now, seemingly unwilling to interrupt the priest. Instead he moves over silently to a nearby window, peering outside, looking this way and that.

'Lad' is perhaps a misdemeanor. The young man is in his early to mid teens...about the age a boy in this area would begin making trips on his own, to handle part of the family business. He gives a sigh as Althea's light reaches him, and falls into a deeper sleep. Outside, the sleepy town is beginning to wake up...people gathering and talking. Wondering at what went on.

Ferawyn looks to the innkeeper and gives a bit of a smile. "I will try but I'd like to...." And that's when Drake calls upon Althaea's healing power, and smiles a bit brighter. "On second thought, I think he'll be in good hands." She then smiles as she hears a scratching sound at the door and a couple of tiny barks. She opens the door, and in comes a puppy. She giggles as the small dog runs around her feet a few times, but she holds out her hand to stop him and holds him close. She then kneels down and touches her forehead to him and speaks to the puppy in a strange old language, and the dog stops wagging it's tail for a moment. the puppy glows for a moment, and it then nearly vibrates out of the elf's hands, barking and wagging it's tail quite hard. The elf then heads for the door, but the puppy beats her there, running into the door, then scratching at it until Ferawyn opens the door, and it runs out the door as hard as it can.....and into the forest.

Ferawyn smiles to the Inkeeper and winks. "The locals will find out quite quickly."

Ferawyn smiles to Kravar. "it seems he'll be all right for the time being." She says softly as she looks towards the cleric for a moment then back to the innkeeper, but not saying anything yet.

Kravar turns his head to look in the direction scampering off, then his eyes widen when he realizes what Ferawyn meant. He moves over to stand next to her, then gestures at the youth. "What could have happened to him? I don't think it was a sword or claws that did that..."

Ferawyn says, "I don't know quite yet, but I do want to find out. Thankfully, we're out in my home, so things will go a bit more smoothly than if I was in the city." She then tilts her head. "No slashing weapons or claws......bludgeoning weapons?""

Drake sits back on her knees, more fabric than figure within, but her hands which should be covered with blood are clear as they are tucked back into her robes and she looks over the healing lad.. anyone that young is a boy to her after all. It is only after she makes sure he is in a healing sleep that she glances up at Ferawyn and Kravar and then turns to the side as one of the woman come to her and is spoken to softly, then her whispered voice is slightly louder, that husky lyrical power still hoverin in the background, "InnKeeper, if you will settle him near, he will heal and we will send someone for him soon so he can be watched over.." The InnKeeper might be surprised or not, but then those violet eyes are back on the Wild Elf/Human and she dips her chin gently, "The wounds were from the smallest of weapons, many of them, small but deep, they knew where to make the most damage.. he should not have made it this far.."

There is a tiny frown in her eyes as she rises and then motions towards the table where she and Kravar were before.

Kravar nods. "Maybe. Or perhaps no weapons at all." He clenches and unclenches one of his fest, probably without realizing it. "I once saw a trio of barbarians assault a commoner in the city, they never drew a weapon on him, but their fists --" He never finishes whatever he was going to say about their fists, instead stopping to listen to Drake's explanation. "Ah...the 'smallest' of weapons? What manner of creature...?" Now he looks between Drake and Ferawyn, since either might have an answer.

Ferawyn says, "Thankfully he made it here at all." She says softly as she orders a small bit of wine for herself, before moving to join them. "Tiniest of weapons, hmm? We may have to find out where he ventured to and why....""

Drake seems to take a long moment again, but it's almost somewhere one might need to get used to, the cup that was on the table has been refilled and again disappears into her veils and it's only after it's return to the table that she is nodding. "Think those of the lucht or gobbers or similar race had need of using them. I have seen the wounds before.." Those violet eyes then blink and turn to Ferawyn and they smile, sparkling a little, "The little one is good for you..." Maybe that is her way of waiting to learn who the other elf is... little one? Puppy maybe.

Kravar purses his lips, then strides over to where he was sitting to collect the rest of his equipment. After slinging his pack and bow across his back, he moves for the door. "I'll ask around. Maybe some of the villagers saw or heard something." He looks at Drake and then Ferawyn. "Something tells me our paths will cross again."
