The Tournament Paramount is coming up very soon and around the city people have been preparing for contests and games. People from all around have traveled to participate in the tournament games. Including a young buff gnome, with huge bulging muscles. He is probably the largest gnome you ever see. However this gnome seems to be lost and has a very worried expression on his face.

Orion is walking about the city, when he notices the worried look on the gnome face, "Hello there, it looks there is something troubling you. Perhaps I can offer some assistance?"

An influx of people means an influx of of the need for a watchful eye on the streets. Lydia moves along at a slow walk, left hand resting on the hilt of her longsword as she tries to enjoy the day and the sights of so many people.

Cressida is far more interested in the setting up of all the contests and games than anything about the security of the situation. But, noticing both the concerned gnome and Orion talking to him, she walks over to stand next to them. "Is something wrong?"

The gnome looks to Orion and nods, "Yes, I have a big problem! I just arrived in town with some friends, and we were hardly here for an hour and they went missing! I was looking all around for them, but I have no idea where they went."

Orion notices Lydia and waves her over to the group. He then looks down to the gnome, "Missing as in you were with them then next thing you know they disappeared. Or missing as in you guys got seperated and they are most likely exploring the city."

Lydia waves back at Orion before looking to the one he's with. Curiousity, and the beckoning, get her to come over to the people. "Is everything alright?" she asks, looking from one to another.

He looks to Orion, "I was registering for the tournament and they were with me, and when I turned around they were gone. We had some special training planned for the tournament as well, and they wouldn't miss that. I don't think they are just exploring, something happened!"

Cressida nods slightly, looking around a bit. "Well, we can see if we can help you find them. What did they look like? Were you all doing physical training, or..."

Everyone but Orion notice there is some goblin sneaking around in the distance and he seems to be watching the group. He would normally be pretty hard to spot but he bumps into someone by accident. He apologises then glances towards the group for a brief moment before he turns and runs away.

"Hey," says Cressida, pointing towards the goblin as he flees. "That guy is watching us... and now he's running. We should get him." She starts to give chase after him.

Lydia listens to the Gnome even as her eyes drift over towards where the small disturbance is. She frowns at the goblin and briefly glances back towards the others. When Cressida gives chase, she's quick to go after her a moment later.

Orion looks to Cressida, "What? Who is and where?" Cressida and Lydia then start to run, Orion looks to the gnome, "We better run after them." Orion starts to run after the others but make sure the Gnome stays with in his sight.

The gnome quickly follows after Orion and the group. The goblin notices people running and runs even faster. He turns and ducks down a back alley and you spot him running into some large warehouse, and quickly closes the door behind him.

Orion catches up with the others, and notices the goblin that ran into the large warehouse, he looks to the others, "Um do we have a plan, if not I will try opening the doors then going in." He looks to Lydia, "You might want to cast some of those longer lasting spells now?"

Cressida stops at the door to the warehouse, lookin gback as the others catch up with her. "This is where he went. It would be good if you took point, Orion. Not sure what we'll find inside."

Lydia considers things for the moment, looking around at those just outside of the door. "We don't know what's in there and I doubt going in single file will do much. If we're going to storm this place, I can shield the one who goes first and then the rest follow quickly will probably be the best bet."

The gnome decides to stay in the back. While he is pretty buff for a gnome he is just a bodybuilder not an adventurer. "Okay, you guys go in first and check it out, I will wait here in the back."

Orion looks to Lydia, "Ff the door opens you can cast the spell on Cressida." He then looks to Cressida, "Ok, going in." Orion now tries to open the door, if itdoes open he shall go in first.

Lydia nods her head in agreement, "Very well." she tells Orion before glancing towards Cressida and then back to the door as if to make sure where all is.

Cressida stands near Lydia as she prepares, so as to be close when it comes time for spells to be cast.

As the large double doors open, you find a large hobgoblin standing in front of the door with a longsword. Next to him is a smaller goblin warrior. Above them on a platform is two hobgoblins with longbows. Several other goblins are in the background, all staring right at the door as if expecting you. The hogblin in front starts to laugh loudly. "Oh look what we have here. Some thieves breaking into our warehouse." He grins as he glances back behind the group towards the gnome, "And what is this? One of the theives is a competitor in the tournament? I think this is grounds to get all the gnomes disqualified from the games." He lifts his sword. "Drop your weapons, you are under arrest!"

Orion looks to the Hobgoblin, "We shall not, we believe you and your group have kidnapped other gnomes to get rid of your competition. If we are wrong then lower your weapons and we can talk this out. If you do not lower your weapons, you will not live long enough to particpate in the tournament."

Lydia takes in the sight of all of them gathered and pointing bows and other weapons towards them. She told them it could get messy. For now though, she'll let Orion do the talking.

Cressida scoffs. "They think opening an unlocked door constitutes theft, and a gnome being visible constitutes clear involvement? They have some things to learn."

The hobgoblin smiles, "Oh so going to resist arrest then? I was hoping you would decide to do that. Lets get them boys!"

Lydia steps forward as into the room, shield and sword in hand before she calls out the blessing of Daeus upon her allies as they join the battle!

The goblins start their assault, and one of the hobgoblins nails cressida with an arrow, as the others attack the people in front. The smaller goblins don't seem too effective but they remain hiding near the back where it is safer. The hobgoblin and a brave smaller goblin meet the paladin and cleric head on in melee however. In the back one of the goblins chants a spell and tries to make Orion fall to the ground laughing but he resists the spell.


<OOC> Cressida says, "I'm going to move up behind Orion and ready to shoot at the goblin who was casting, when he casts again."

Cressida lets out a yelp of pain as she takes an arrow to the shoulder, but she pulls out her crossbow and moves up behind Orion. She pinpoints the goblin who seems to be casting spells and takes aim, ready to attempt to stop him from casting again.

Orion shield takes care of most of the attacks that come at home, he then tries to attack the hobgoblin brawler only to swing and miss.

The big hoblin slashes at Orion but misses once again. However the hobgoblin archer on the platform has Cressida locked in his sights and he shoots her with another arrow, while the other hobgoblin misses his target.

The goblins continue their attacks, but keep missing. That is until the warchanter starts to sing a battle song and inspires them to victory! That is when the goblin warrior sneaks in an attack and grazes Lydia with his sword.

OOC> Orion says, "I am going to use smite on the hobgoblin in front of Orion. Is he evil?"

Having fired her crossbow bolt and missed the chanting goblin, she incants her spell to throw a ball of acid at the goblin attacking Lydia. Being hit with a few crossbow bolts seems to have severely disrupted her aim, however, and it goes wide, while she moves to take a moment to recover.

It might be early to use it, but the enemy needs to start taking damage, Orion silently ask his god for help then points his longsword at the Hobgoblin brawler saying "You!" He then with the aid of his god strikes and hits the Hobgolbin.

The large hobgoblin takes a hard hit but he just laughs lightly and hits Orion back with a slash from his sword, "Is that all you got, I think we already won!" He then takes a step back.

Lydia braces herself as she looks to the goblin warrior near her. "Bring forth the sun's glory, feel the warmth to burn your evil hide!" she calls out as she calls forth the heat from the metal of the goblin. She holds strong as the goblin strikes out at her, the attack harmless against her shield.

The goblins continue raining arrows down on Orion as they shift around to get a clear shot at him while hiding behind cover them self. The goblin warrior swipes at the cleric before he takes a step back as well.

Cressida looks around the edge of the warehouse wall, now in a much better position to avoid being hit with a rain of arrows. She looks around the corner, invoking another ball of acid and flining it at the hobgoblin engaged in battle with Orion, hitting him directly. She smiles at that, even as she moves to reload her crossbow.

Orion takes a tight hold of his longsword then swings is down upon the Hobgoblin with all of his might greatly hurting the hobgoblin.

The hobgoblin takes a brutal hit and stumbles backwards. He staggers and nearly falls over but he grins and lifts his sword up and cleaves the blade into Orion, before he collapses to the ground.

The archers see their boss fighting to the end and inspired they keep firing arrows at Orion, trying to penetrate his armor and finish him off.

Lydia keeps her shield at the ready as she glances to the goblin warrior and then up to the platform, she points with her longsword before uttering the word of command. "Approach!"

The archer resists the command to approach, which is lucky for him because he might have fallen! The goblins keep firing at Orion and this time one of the arrows slams between the joints of his plate and draws blood. The goblin warrior armor continues to heat up and he backs up for the moment.

Cressida sees things starting to calm a bit. She moves into the room, running across the room to duck under the ledge of the platrom, keeping cover from the the archers. She invokes and throws a little ball of acid at the goblin as he moves for the ladder, then looks to her comapanions. "Careful, there are traps on the floor. There, and by the goblin back there." She points to the floor near her, then around the corner at the goblin hiding behind the standing wall in the warehouse.

Orion had taken some strong shots, he is a bit hurt. He lays upon hands himself then goes to attack the Goblin Warrior and hits him. He looks to Lydia, "We could use a little bit of mass healing."

The archers spot the cleric standing alone, and hears someone calling for healing so they decide to try to take her down and focus on her. One arrows hits her hard as the other misses.

Lydia shoots Orion a look after she gets hurt herself. "Yea yea, I'm working on it!" she replies. She looks about to make sure where each of the group is at before momentarily closing her eyes and bringing her sword to her chestplate. "heal!" she declares before the aura extends out from her in a wave to wash away the wounds of her fellow fighters.

The goblins move around and start opening fire on Cressida, taking advantage of her much weaker armor, and nailing her with two arrows. The chanting continues his chant as he moves forward and strikes out with his whip to try and knock Cressida down to the floor.

Cressida is not appreciating the arrows that continue pelting her. The chanter gets close, so she puts up her hands to send a wave of flames in his direction. As he ducks from the worst of the fire, she steps in closer, starting to engage the chanter in melee, claws manifesting on her hands as she does.

Orion continues to attack the Goblin Warrior this time once again concentrating all of his might into one very strong blow. When his longsword hits the goblin warrior it kills him.

The two hobgoblin archers take aim at Lydia and open fire with their bows from up on the platforms, though both miss.

Lydia moves away from the door, her eyes lock onto that globlin on the floor level with her and she moves along the wall, her shield kept towards the platform. Even as she runs, she calls forth the Bane towards those they fight, the enchantment bursting forth in a radius about her towards the goblins.

The goblins all start firing arrows all over the place as they move about. The boss hits Cressida with one, and one of the smaller ones hits Lydia before running towards the back of the building

Cressida invokes her burning hands once again as the goblin with the whip steps back to strike her. This time, the flames as too much for him and he collapses to the ground. Cressida keeps to what cover she has, pulling out her crossbow once again and preparing to fire it.

Orion has some difficulty making it up the ladder hampered by his heavy armor and shield but he does make it and is now on the platform with the archers.

The hobgoblins miss but then as Lydia approaches one of the goblins, a huge axe comes flying out of the wall and nearly takes her head off, but instead just slices into her armor.

Lydia moves forward, she starts towards goblin one until she sees Cressida readying her crossbow and her steps shift to go after goblin two. She cries out as the axe slams into her. Her shield coming up too late before she rids herself of that axe. Glaring around, she centers herself and calls forth the power of Daeus and sends out another wave of healing to herself and Cressida. "Heal!"

Cressida steps around the corner and catches sight of one of the goblins that's been hiding in the area and firing arrows in her direction. Reciting the familiar invocation, she throws a wave of fire at him, catching him off guard and leaving him smoldering on the ground.

Now on top off the plateform Orion seeks to deal with the archers, his longsword strikes the hobgoblin archer that is closest to him, the strike lands hurting the hobgoblin a little.

The archer takes a hard hit but he slashes back at Orion with his sword, and cuts him back. The other takes aim at Lydia but can't seem to hit her.

Lydia steps forth after that goblin and takes a swing at it with her longsword, growling as her sword strikes nothing but air.

Cressida leans against the platform and takes aim. It's hard to track the goblin, with Lydia swinging her sword at him as he ducks around the wall. She takes a shot, but it strikes the wall and deflects off harmlessly. She shakes her head and simply reloads.

Orion tries to take down the hobgoblin with his next swing, but his aim was off having his attack come no where close to the hobgoblin.

The hobgoblins keep up their brave fight! They have a little trouble hitting but they know they can win if they can just do more damage before it is healed.

Lydia strikes out with her longsword once more, though the goblin she aims for seems to be a wiry little bastard as she misses yet again.

Cressida isn't seeing a clear shot coming any time soon, she she keeps her crossbow in hand and runs across the warehouse, standing next to Lydia as she resorts to invoking a blast of fire to burn the goblin. The goblin remains nimble, however, and ducks out of the way of the full force of the blast.

Orion misses once again with his attack. Perhaps it is because the Sith'makar is not used to being this high up while fighting that is causing him to miss the Hobgoblin over and over again.

Lydia swings yet again, finding herself wishing the goblin was just a skeleton so that her spells would do better than her swordsmanship is as she misses once more.

The goblin with two people on him takes a step back and switches back to his bow and fires off a shot. The other goblin decides to go flank the wizard and leaps off the platform, though he ends up landing on his head and knocks him self out, though he should live.

Cressida brings her crossbow up to bear once again as the goblin starts to back off. Now with a much more direct shot, she lets the bolt fly and hits the goblin in the shoulder, leaving him badly wounded but still standing.

The nimble hobgoblin is able to move out of the way of Orion's attack. Orion's aim was better just not good enough.

Lydia moves around the corner fully. She's had it with this goblin and goes into a spin as she brings her longsword about to bear once more, intent on finishing the creature off. This time, her longsword strikes true, dispatching the goblin!

Cressida moves a bit closer to Lydia, planning to keep close to a location of cover as she fires at one of those archers. The angle is not ideal, however, and her bolt simply soars overhead.

Orion can't be to sure of it but he think the hobgoblin is just mocking him, the hobgoblin is easily able to avoid Orion's longsword.

The archer fires another arrow at Lydia and misses but his friend continues to attack Orion on the platform, and scores another hit against him with his sword.

Lydia moves back now that the goblin she was fighting is dead and starts for the ladder to the platform. "Cressida, will you scout the rest of the place? Make sure there's no more surprises?"

Cressida nods to Lydia, taking aim at the hobgoblin once again and firing at him, this time hitting him solidly in the shoulder. "Sure thing. I'll have a look." She's quick to move to the other side of the wall, avoiding any return fire that might have been coming her way and taking note of a set of levels, as well as another door.

Lydia nods once Cressida agrees and moves quickly at a run to reach that ladder, looking up once she reaches it.

Cressida continues walking around the room to thatdoorway, loading her crossbow as she walks carefully, keeping an eye out for any other traps that may be laying in wait.

At long last, Orion aim is true, his sword sinks deeply into the hobgoblin slashing away vital organs, when Orion pulls his sword out of hobgoblin it falls to the floor, dead.

The hobgoblin turns to look to Orion as his friend gets chopped up and he fires an arrow straight into Orion, hitting him hard.

Lydia glances up as she hears that release of an arrow and the thud of impact. QUickly, she moves up the ladder to gain her footing on the platform above. "Alrighty, I got this."

Also Cressdia finds two tied up buff looking gnomes in the backroom. They can't say anything because they got rags stuffed in their mouths to keep them silent.

Cressida lowers her crossbow and steps into the room, moving carefully over to the bound gnomes, kneeling down as she pulls out her dagger and starts to cut their bonds. "We're here to rescue you. Your friend tipped us off that you were missing."

Orion gets struck by the arrow pretty hard. He now shakes his head to the archer, "You are not going last as long as your friend did." To help prove his point Orion strikes the archer with his longsword.

With everyone up on the platform now the archer decides that is the last place he wants to be and he leaps off. He hits the ground and does a little roll before shooting an arrow back up towards Orion.

"Come back here!" Lydia growls as she moves to take off after the creature. She goes right to the edge of the platform and jumps! She tries to aim for the creature but misjudges and land for a solid thud and clang.

Orion is some what hurt and he remembers how succesfull the first goblin was at jumping off the plateform. He will get to the ground using the ladder.

Cressida moves to the other gnome, cuttin ghis bonds as well, leaving her dagger with them. "Here, stay here for now. There's still a bit of a fight going on out there. I'm going to help them finish things off." With that, she moves back out of the room and towards the combat.

Lydia hefts her shield as her longsword comes up and around in another viscous slice into the hobgoblin's side.

Cressida moves to the nearby corner, looking back to the combat. Seeing the hobgoblin on the ground level now, she brings her crossbow up again and lets loose a shot. The unsuspecting hobgoblin is hit solidly in the chest, letting out a cry as he collapses to the ground.

Lydia looks at the body of the last hobgoblin before turning to see where the bolt came from. "Did you find anything?" she calls out towards Cressida.

Orion looks on to everyone, "Well we are all in one piece." He goes back to the first gnome to let him know it is safe for him to come inside.

The gnome peeks into the building and looks around, and he spots the other two gnomes coming out of the back. He rushes over to give them a hug, "You are both still alive! I was really worried about you." One of them nods his head, "Sorry for worrying you but they got the drop on us."

Cressida nods, gesturing to the reuniion. "I found the gnomes tiedup in back and undid them. Also, some levers. But, I'd guess they controll all the weird traps in the building, perhaps? I didn't stop to play with them."

Lydia grunts at the words. "That damn axe came from no where and hurt." she grumbles before looking at the bodies around them. "So, time to clean up."

Cressida nods. "Carefully. Though, I think we've pinpointed the traps now. Maybe it really was a training thing." She looks to the trio of gnomes. "I don't suppose any of you would know a weird training room by the controls?"

One of the gnomes shakes his head slightly, "Even if it was a training room, I wouldn't trust anything a goblin made."

Orion looks to Cressida "We could wake the goblin that jumped off the plateform first. He might know something more about this place and the training if this is information we think we need to know."

Cressida shrugs a bit. "I think we can just have all these guys taken away for kidnapping and let the guard deal with the warehouse. Though, we should check them for anything interesting first. It is customary."

Lydia moves towards the last of the creature to fall and kneels down to begin searching through what he has. "These guys seemed to be organized, that's for sure."
