  • Summary: A great many people retreat to the Soldier's Defense to lick a wide variety of wounds. A stray fae debutante reunited with her shed skin, an anemic arvek nar, and a frantic egalrin are just three of many. Most find what they need even if it's just a good conversation and time spent around friendly faces.

This hospital is composed of rock from the surrounding Redridge, which lends it a comfortable feeling of solidity. Inside, frescos line the walls. They depict warm, cheerful scenes intended to encourage healing among the sick and ailing. A small fountain towards the back of the foyer is fed by the nearby river, and a number of benches surround it, providing a place for conversation.

The entrance to the hospital is guarded often by Sunblades, its interiors tended to by the Hearthguards. Older Hearthguards tend to patients and oversee its operation, while for the younger it is an opportunity to practice their skills and hone their trade. The servants garb themselves in Althea's colors, with a stole representing the City of Alexandria on the outside, to recognize their service to both.

The building itself is quite large, though built in a way to make it appear to be a collection of smallar buildings rather than one large one. The Soldier's Defense is known for its ability to feel "like home." While it is still a hospital, it arguably accomplishes this feeling of peace and serenity better than many counterparts, with the benefits passed on to its patients. Across one of the walls are a series of paintings depicting the hospital's many benefactors over the years. The first in line is the painted face of an unknown soldier, who the hospital was first dedicated to.

The Soldier's Defense, evening.

Rain, rain, rain. If spring is a season for dueling, then the combatants are almost always the vibrant and welcoming sunny day and the rain shower that ushers all back into shelter--whether it be home, public, or...

A hospital, where a very special room's been prepared for an elvish-seeming woman with deep brown eyes and wavy white hair that falls down her back. She's kept away from the general population on account of a white feather cloak that adorns her shoulders.

But there are no guards posted at the door. She's not a prisoner. And yet she sits on the edge of her hospital bed and tries to push herself up... and cringes, groaning a little.

"Nngh, it hurts...!" <Sylvan>

And she sits back down on the bed. Her hands go instinctively to her feathered cloak and pulls it just a little tighter around her, biting her pale lip as her shoulders shake. But not a sound comes out.

Not all swans are loud creatures, after all.

Lady Nuala or Fionnuala is not guarded. Inquiries regarding her will get directions to her room; she is being kept away from general population on account of being fey.

Not all who come to the Soldier's Defense are in need of healing. Some are just paying respects, or delivering information, or simply trying to help. The elegantly-dressed half-elf is probably a little of all three, as Telamon walks down one of the halls.

He pauses, hearing... it's not the voice, but the -language- that catches his attention, from one room. He walks to the doorway, but does not enter yet... instead, his voice responds, "Rest, friend of the forests and the twilight. Your healing will go faster if you do not stress yourself." He hasn't tried to even look inside yet, but his Sylvan is almost impeccable.

He pauses to watch a gurney rolling past, with a burly bearded man on it, surrounded by a couple friends. "Elroy, that was stupid as hell," one remonstrates, "chargin' in like that." The burly man seems unfazed, despite the fact he looks to be more bandages than undamaged flesh. He triumphantly holds up a baked chicken leg as the procession goes past. "At least I have chicken!"

"I'm fine. Fine!" A distinctive voice can be heard from the hallway, egalrin, overactive and overeager. "Fine! Yes. Yes, yes! I need to get a statement! It's dried blood, it's not mine. Well some of it's mine, but most of it isn't! She'll want to see me."

There may not be guards, but there's at least a concerned orderly or healer attempting to stem the tide of flappy bird that is Integrity C Truefeather, esquire. Attempting, and failing.

The bluejay enters the room, less elegantly and politely than Telamon, pushing past the man. Those familiar with avians would recognize a certain sort of controlled panic in the way his feathers lie, his head moves, and his beak opens and closes. He's very jittery, bouncing in place.

"Hello, Lady Nuela, are you well? Are you in need of anything? Counsel? The 'C' is for counsel."

Looking a little older for want of sleep, Robert stalks the halls in plain clothes wearing a generally stoic expression he takes pains to spoil with a slight smile whenever he passes someone. The tunic is fresh and ill-fitting-- loose and long-- and doesn't match the well-worn and faded pair of padded pants stained after a day's wear beneath armored plates.

There's a frustrated sigh as he pulls up the sleeves again, trying to force them back behind his elbows. The big man steps to one side and let's those working and being treated pass, smiling again. His search continues until he catches Jay's voice coming down the hall and his wanderings pick up a little more direction.

Well, it certainly was not a surprise that Zofija was at the soldier's defence, much to her own frustration however. The Arvek-nar had been a bit forcefully guided to the place of healing by several concerned guards, and she was not in any particular state to be doing such. Getting nearly stabbed to death a couple times tended to have that effect.

They could make her stay there, but they couldn't make her stay in a bed for the time being, at least. So she decided to wander the halls for the time being, until she could convince them to let her go. The torn and bloodied clothes swapped for one of the many robes on hand, making the cavalier look like a muscular monk from a monastery, or something of that sort. The noises of a large blue bird as she wandered did catch her attention, and the Arvek-nar poked her head inside, looking a fair bit more pale than usual. "Oh, this is where you ended up." She grunts. "You doing okay Tegri? Figures I should check up on you. And well, lucky day, to check up on the client, too. Hope you're all mostly alright."

Lady Nuala looks over her shoulder as she's spoken to--first by the half-elven man who has spoken to her in her native tongue, then Integrity rushing into her room, and then by Zofija as she checks in on Integrity and her, too. She shifts her whole form--an act that makes her grimace again as she carefully, carefully moves her body back into where it should be in bed.

Her gaze first turns to Integrity. It's hard not to look at the bird who's at full alert. "Good evening to you all," she says--gentle like before, a softness that makes it a little hard to hear if you don't step inside the room. "I am... 'on the mend', as one of the nurses said."

She lifts a hand which has the broken finger wrapped in a small cast that descends down her arm. "They were concerned about the bone... And had to break it again... Which hurt greatly," Lady Nuala explains, pausing here and there--perhaps to figure out how to explain it best in the common tongue.

Then she lifts her head up and offers a small smile. "But I am glad to see that you all wanted to see me. ...Do you know the man outside my room? The mortal man, who speaks in my native tongue?" she finally asks, meaning Telamon. "It is a comfort to hear it again."

Telamon watches Jay and Zofija pile past bemusedly -- he recognizes Zofija, but the wild-looking egalrin is definitely new to him. The soft voice though... he steps into the room, offering a polite bow. "I apologize, my lady, I didn't know if you were receiving visitors." His dark eyes sparkle, as he continues, "Telamon Atlon, at your service."

He straightens, regarding Zofija and Jay with a nod and a grin. "And yours as well, obviously. I presume there was some... unpleasantness related to this lady's presence here?"

GAME: Telamon rolls knowledge/nature+2: (8)+9+2: 19

"I'm fine. Fine! Why does everyone keep asking? I'm fine. Fine!" Integrity's voice gets a little higher on each 'fine' as he protests too much. "Just a few holes, in me and my clothes and my armour. This is adventuring! Being covered in blood and dirt from surprise attacks. I'm an adventuring lawyer!"

He's breathing quickly, though the Lady Nuala's calm response is slowing him down, somewhat. His head twitches as he focuses on her cast, looking with one eye and then the other, his wings spreading. "Did they have to break your foot to fix it too? Are you considering a malpractice suit? If you're unsatisfied with the aid you deserve recompense."

The jay's head flicks to focus on Telamon. His beak wavers, half open, partially closing and dropping wider. Finally he clicks it shut, "Her vital property was stolen, then retrieved."

The big man is a presence looming behind Telamon before he announces himself. There's a strong hand come to rest gently on the sorcerer's shoulder and a pause as he leans forward to excuse himself. "... Mister Atlon," he smiles faintly. Tired. Then he's moving past.

"Integrity..." he sighs. There's silent admonishment in his gaze the falls behind a wave of relief. He reaches out and takes hold of the frantic bird, careful but firm. Sharp blue eyes search over the egalrin's form briefly before drawing him in close for a big ol' hug. "... I'm so sorry, kid," he mumbles without letting go.

"That's why I told you to come to the soldier's defence earlier. But it might have been too late to avoid a break in the finger, anyways." Zofija grunts. Though the egalrin's increasingly high pitched fines makes her stop, and shake her head. "Tegri, it's okay to not be fine, and people are asking because they're concerned." She sighs.

"I just happened to be passing by is all, but I was meaning to check on the lady earlier. And the doctors here who are being too nice and concerned won't let me leave. Beats being stuck in a room, ah, no offense intended."

She turns to find Robert, and nods once to him. "You're not beat up, so I guess you had your own reasons for coming around here. Dropping off that guy from the other day or what?"

Lady Nuala looks confused again--and then the look of realization settles onto her face, followed by a sorrowful look. "Oh, I... Hadn't realized that I had caused you three harm to the extent you'd come here to treat your wounds," she says. "I am deeply sorry for the pain my request has caused all of you."

She looks back at Integrity and... holds out her unbroken hand. "Integrity, yes?" she asks. She... Seems to be offering him a handshake. That's probably something she's observed people doing when they tell each other their names. His name flows off her tongue like a musical flourish, somehow.

"It's okay to seek healing. That is the nature of things that are wounded--they heal. Given time and allowed to heal." Lady Nuala smiles a little in that soft way that matches her voice. "That is something both you and the lady should know."

She glances back at Telamon and says, "My feather cloak was stolen from me by a man who wished to make me his 'pet'. These people brought it back to me and brought the man to a place where he will not hurt me or my kin." It's a simple explanation, and she certainly delivers it a bit matter-of-factly--delivering it like how she initially spoke of the situation during the briefing. The mask is protection--although it might be to avoid upsetting Integrity.

Integrity is caught, embraced. A bird in a hug is worth two in the bush. His reaction is to flap as if he's trying to escape, but it is not a strong effort. His wings stop filling the room and he holds onto the larger man. His heart is beating as fast as a little bird's.

His breathing slows. He accepts Lady Nuala's hand, holding it gently although not letting go of Robert. He adds to the story. "They weren't nice people, allege... no, they really weren't nice. We took back the cloak and one of them... died. And Zofija died. Almost died. Twice."

He's still twitchy, "I just want to take a disposition and file a few nice safe motions."

Telamon's expression doesn't exactly... shift. It gets a little harder there for a moment, but seeing as how Integrity is currently being bear hugged by Robert, he suspects things got a trifle intense for the adventurers. "I see," he says levelly. He takes a deep breath, before smiling again. "Well, my lady, I do hope Alexandria proves to be far more welcoming."

He cocks his head at her, before continuing, "I won't say there will never be danger, but I daresay if Robert and Zofija have put someone in their proper place, they will not be leaving it anytime soon."

He looks at Integrity a bit worriedly, then fishes in his pack, removing a silver flask. "Er... could I offer some tea? My fiancee's... ah... grandfather gave me the recipe. A very nice mint-lavender flavor."

A sigh, another squeeze, and a firm rubbing of Jay's back sees Robert to the end of the hug-- but he stays close to the egalrin for the time being. "Ah, ladies. Apologies for not saying 'hello.'"

Bob offers Zofija a tired smile. "I had to see a man settled and then answer some questions for the watch," he pauses to futz with the sleeves a bit more. "The hearthguard was kind enough to loan me a shirt... but I think it's for an actual, honest-to-goodness giant." The frustration of being betweens-sizes!

"If you don't have too much on your docket, IC, I was thinking dinner and a soak at the Tarrace; an evening away from work."

"It wasn't that bad." Zofi grunts. "Well, it kind of was, but I'm fine. Don't worry about it, just one of the risks of the work is all, don't feel bad about asking for help."

"He was a right piece of shit." The arvek-nar adds bluntly. "Luckily for everything he did he won't be out for a long, long time, which is more than he honestly deserves."

"I already had a bath thankfully before I was forcibly brought here, so I'm fine. Places to be, anyways."

Integrity's description of what specifically happened in the melee causes Lady Nuala's mouth to open and her eyes go wide, brows up in deep concern--and then she looks over at Zofija. "Lady Zofija?" she asks. "Please... I know I have already sworn it before, but... you have my gratitude. Anything you desire that I might be able to give you--please, ask it of me. It is all I can do to repay you."

Her dark brown eyes return to Integrity as she squeezes the egalrin's hand and lets go. "Integrity, sir, would it soothe you to know that... simply being here and speaking to me is helpful to my own healing?" she says. She tries to bring the edge off her horrified expression, putting it back down into a sort of sad smile instead--white eyebrows lifted in concern. "I am... very happy to see all of you. I sought treatment because of the kindness you showed me--and when you came back, I became convinced that I could... try to be here and heal. Rather than harm myself on the journey back to the Mythwood on my own..."

She does give Telamon a glance, however. "That sounds lovely, actually," she says. "Mint is one of my favorite plants--"

And then the very audible sound of a stomach gurgle comes from the lady wrapped in swan feathers in the middle of the room. Lady Nuala presses her lips together for a moment before she gives a strange little motion that looks like laughing--but is silent. Not a noise leaves her mouth--well, no, that's not true, either. It's like a quiet hiss.

Telamon deftly fishes out a tin cup, and begins pouring some tea into it. "It's not home-grown, I'm afraid. I've got some herbs in the garden, but it... well, it takes time to grow these things." He smiles broadly, offering the cup to Nuala. "I also ask nothing from you in return, ma'am," he says to her. "A drink shared between friends is merely a blessing." switching to Sylvan easily.

That done, he looks to Robert and Zofi. "It sounds like it was touch and go. I'm glad you made it through. Sometimes, the best reward really is knowing you've done the right thing and fixed a wrong."

Perhaps tending to her own wounds out of sight, but still it didn't deter her from stopping by the Defense to double-triple check on anyone that was lingering about in pain.

Her arrival is heard down the halls. Distant. "Four healing mojos on the bird, four healing mojos..!"

It grows louder. "Cast one down, pass it around!"

Slixvah pops in with a her hands raised high, fingers glowing a soft white hue of a half-cocked spell. "Three healing mojos on the bird!! Hellloooooooo my darlings~! I took a fat nap for this cat, who's still got booboos from that dogshit day?"

Integrity seems calmer now, but remains close tor Robert. The rubbing appears to help. "This shirt fits, and dinner. I could do dinner."

Many things go unsaid for the moment. He nods to Lady Nuala, "It does help to know that. While we currently have no contractual obligation to help you return to the Mythwood, one could be arranged."

"It was pretty wrong," Jay tells Telamon, and his feather-crest raises as Slixvah enters the room. "Slix! I'm fine, but Zofija, Robert and the Lady might need healing."

"There's nothing wrong with me a good night's sleep won't cure," Bob answers with yet another tired smile, holding up a hand to ward off Slixvah's attentions. "You kids took the worst of it," he adds with a look around.

"... and I think you could both use a little more rest before worrying about the next contract," the Cerenzan suggests for Jay before looking to Nuala, "or your next trip, lady.

"Not that I wouldn't be happy to help when the time is right." He grins and nods at Zofija when the offer is declined and makes no mention of all the swearing going on... even if he looks a little pained at each oath uttered.

"Just Zofija or Zofi is fine really, though I'm never unhappy to be acknowledged as a lady." The Arvek-nar chuckles, shaking her head and moving off to the side of the room. "And I don't need anything, but I appreciate the offer. You're already paying for this after all. And everyone helped, especially Tegri there."

And the room had even more people in it, which made the Arvek-nar squeeze into a corner. "Oh, hey Slix! I'm okay, unless your magic can replace lost blood. I don't think it can, so I'm alright. Just need to keep drinking plenty of non alcoholic fluids, and eating well, things like that."

"Yeah, if travel is a concern after, can always ask for an escort. Make sure that it doesn't happen again." Zofija agrees.

The swan-feathered woman--well, only the cloak on her shoulders at this instance--smiles as Slixvah enters the room. "Ahh, yes, I am so happy to see you, too," she says. "Please, do not worry about my healing. It is that of your companions that you ought to be concerned. I will recover in time and... eventually make my way home in time. But as sir Robert says, I do not have to go home soon, and I will not before I am ready."

She looks down to the feathers on her cloak for a moment as she says, "I do... worry for my parents, however. While I am one of many daughters, I am currently their youngest, and I do know that they worried... especially for me. A worry that I fear I have proven to be correct. After all, it was my straying from the nest that led me to run into the man's trap which broke my leg."

But she sighs and dismisses the matter. Lady Nuala takes the offered cup of mint-lavender tea and smiles. "You are kind, sir. Where did you learn how to speak my tongue so well?" she asks. <Sylvan>

She takes a moment to sip the tea and her eyes widen a little as she tastes it, followed by a very content smile as she closes her eyes and simply takes in the flavor and the aroma of the tea. A moment later, she says, "That is tea grown by the hands of my kind, sir Telamon," she says. "I know, for it tastes more flavorful than anything I have eaten or drank here. You speak my tongue and you bring me tea that could have been made from my father's garden--who are you?"

Telamon opens his mouth, and then -- surprise -- he blushes a little. Just a bit. He's neatly penned himself in and now realizes he can't really avoid the question. "Ah... well, that's what I get for toting the flask around," he says ruefully. "Outsmarted myself." He looks at the others, and grins slightly.

Then, he takes a deep breath, and says, "My fiancee, Cor'lana Lupecyll, taught me the language. She is by direct descent, a grand... well, many, many times grand-daughter of a fey lord. You probably know him, ma'am: the Feathered One." He spreads his hands. "I'm just the lad who fell in love with her."

Slixvah pouts (Egalrin can do that? Apparently Slix can) and puts her magicked hands on her hips, wings folded in tight as the room as quite full. "Tsk. And here I am gettin' all my mojo voodoo arcane babble bobble tricks aligned like a monk and their chakras or whatever and none of ya's are selfish enough to take 'em."

She perks up. "Don't replace blood, no. But it speeds up what's been hurt! C'mere!" The fortune teller holds her hands, white-glowing fingers waggling as if she's going to tickle someone to health.

The luck-bender chirps. "Eh, don't worry about it, Lady Nuala! Though, that guy's in a lotta trouble for a long while, for mortals of course."

"Yeah and what a lot of fun random stuff he's gotta deal with!" he quips to Telamon, teasing him.

She looks to Jay, then affixes him with a glowing thumbs up. "Heya Blue," she hums warmly.

The bluejay nods, listening, watching Slixvah as Telamon and Lady Nuala converse. There are questions, other things, that should be said but he can't think of a way to organize them.

"Hey Slix." His wings spread, "we should go for dinner sometime. Soon."

Robert turns his head and stifles a yawn, eyes fluttering as he tries to keep them open. "I was keeping a place warm for you, miss Slix," he grins and steps away from Jay with one last pat on the egalrin's shoulder.

"IC was hoping you'd show him the baths tonight at the Tarrace," he tells Slixvah with all the subtlety of his sledgehammer. He gives one last smile to those assembled, waves, and passes out into the hall back about his business.

"Ah, right." Zofija shrugs, and relents, letting the magic take it's course. "I've already been seen to, but if you have to, I won't turn it down. Feels better for a little bit, at least."

"I thought you were, ah, right." She grunts before waving Robert off. "I'm sure Slix wouldn't turn that down. Good idea on both accounts I'd say."

"Don't rush it if they're worried though, Lady Nuala. Best to not worry them further by handling it right, I'd say."

Lady Nuala gives Robert a very... stiff? wave. It's like she has to think about the gestures. Between that and the handshake, it's safe to assume that they don't do that where she's from. (One has to wonder if maybe it's just not a thing that translates well from humanoid form to swan form.) "Farewell," she says.

And then she blinks. "Or... is it goodbye? What is more polite and fitting in this instance? I do not wish to be rude to the people who have given me so much."

The swan maiden looks between the people at the discussion of dinner and her stomach growls again, which makes her little a little embarrassed. She takes another sip of tea... and thinks. Then her eyes widen as she looks at Telamon. "I know who you speak of--the Feathered One. He is father's... How would you say it? Cousin? But I have never met him. They have not spoken in ages--long, long, long before I was born in the Mythwood, where my mother and father settled after leaving Quelynos." She pauses for a moment. "I also did not know he had mortal descendants. That is... odd, based on what little I know of him from father's stories. But I am glad that has led to you to meet me here today."

She takes a deep breath and puts her unbroken hand to her chest. "I suppose it is safe to divulge to you my full name and station, too--as Slixvah here knows you, and I owe her my gratitude. I am called Lady Fionnuala, youngest daughter of Baron Cygnu and Baroness Antida of the Pale Plume who reside in the Mythwood."

Telamon gives Slixvah a smile, before turning his gaze back to Nuala. "He does not speak much of the courts. That is his way. And I admit," his eyes twinkle, "I am somewhat unlearned on the subject beyond the very basics." At the swan maiden's stomach growling, he chuckles. "Perhaps we should secure a meal for you, Lady Fionnuala. One does not live on good conversation alone."

Catching sight of Jay's stare, he smiles and opens his hands. "Relax. There's nothing dark and mysterious here. Just finding a common friend. Like you and Slixvah," he adds with a sly grin. He politely offers his hand to Jay. "Integrity, is it?"

Slixvah skips once over to Zofija and places both hands on the Nar's arm. Soothing magics infuse within the cavalier as the fortune teller hums, "Eb ealhde, yabb kaces."

Brushing her hands off, she turns to Tegri, blue eyes softening. She glances to Robert, giving him a small nod and a pat on the shoulder as he goes. The rust red and white plumed Egalrin steps towards the bluejay and puts a hand on his shoulder. "... yeah. We can do that, Blue. That sounds swell."

She turns to Lady Nuala, and cracks a smile in her eyes. "Of course. I appreciate your trust, honey. Pleasure to properly meet you," she chimes back in a similar tongue. Though, she switches back for all, "Farewell or goodbye, both work sugar." <Sylvan>

Integrity's head is bopping from fey to fey-fiance', following the conversation, the introduction, and the implications of what is shared. He leans in towards Slixvah at the shoulder touch. Another Egalrin would appreciate how wound up he is. The contact seems to help.

"We could bring back food, if you are hungry. Send back food. I need to clean up. Clean up." He squawks, pulling at the hole in his clothes and armour, examining it. Feathers at least, show beneath, although he's a red, white and blue, and black bird now. His eyes lock with hers.

"There was a burglary and battery at Bob's Smithy ... and I'll tell you bout it later."

He looks at the Lady Nuala, "Your feathers are lovely, and I wish you clear, free skies."

"I don't know much about fey ancestry or that sort of thing. Most I know is my mom telling me not to wander into any rings of mushrooms you find, since they're either a portal to the feywilds, or some hare brained gobber's plan or experiment you don't want anything to do with." The Arvek-nar chuckles. "Well, seems like the others here have a better understanding, at least. If you haven't been fed yet, we can get some of the nurses or clerics around here to bring you a meal. I've still got a couple apples left, if you want any of those."

Then Zofija stops with the further magical healing, and tilts her head. "Leave those magical spells for Tegri, Slix, I don't want him getting jealous. He's got enough on his mind as it is. Just relax, sure it'll be fine."

Lady Nuala can't help but smile at Slixvah also speaking her native tongue. "I would be very happy if you brought me food, sir Integrity," she says. "You and lady should enjoy your dinner first and foremost, however. I hope your banquet is enjoyable. Goodbye--if you are leaving."

They probably don't have restaurants out in the part of the Mythwood where she's from. Lady Nuala looks to Zofija and smiles. "I would also be appreciative of the apples, lady Zofija," she says, although she has a sheepish smile as she also admits: "I... have not wanted to trouble the nurses for food. I can go a while without eating. Mortals, I have been told, can not."

She then looks back to Telamon and says, "I wish I could teach you, but I am also sheltered. And as my family is from the Mythwood and not Quelynos, I was never anticipated to join the nobility. I think between all the offers of food, however, I shall be well-fed."

Finally, she yawns, covering her mouth with her unbroken hand. "I am sorry," she says. "I believe I must retire soon, as well. A healing body requires rest."

Telamon grins unabashedly as he sees Integrity leaning against Slixvah. He deliberately tries to catch Slixvah's eye, and winks broadly, before composing his expression again. He does nod to Zofi, commenting, "It's... generally a good idea to avoid the entanglements of Quelynos. While they may not -intend- to harm you, sometimes even the best intentions can go... awry." His eyes glint as he says it.

He inclines his head to Lady Nuala, smiling again. "Agreed. You do need your rest. With your permission, ma'am, I will let my fiancee know of your presence here. She may wish to pay her respects." He bows. "You will heal, and be the stronger for it. That's the nature of living here." Carefully, he steps out, once that's done.

Slix tuts. "Difference between you and Tegri, Muscles is that you got shanked more than-" she stops, clears her throat, and resumes, "-you had it rougher. Though, I'll give Blue a lil' somethin' somethin'."

She holds out a hand to Integrity, motes of white light appearing. "Just makin' sure all the insides are stitched up. Can get ya cleaned up too." Though, she squints a bit. "... alright. You can fill me in on that later."

"Your mom taught ya good, Muscles," she hums before turning to the fey-elf. "Yeah. Prolly gonna do that. Goodbye, glad we could help ya, hon."

A glance to Telamon, catching his expression before chuckling softly and rolling her eyes as she loops an arm around Integrity's shoulders. "Let's get some food in us, yeah Blue?"

"Yes!" His agreement is a high-pitched chirp. Integrity is interested in food, and the healing physically improves his state. It doesn't fix the guilt, but the spells for that are a little more complex. "She wouldn't have if I hadn't told the bandit what she'd do..."

That explanation can also wait for later.

The bluejay gives a bow, sweeping with a wing, "I will bring suitable food, tomorrow. It was nice meeting you also Telamon, and thanks Muscles... for understanding."

Jay is tensing up again, "Let's go . Let's go."

Zofija reaches into her bag she had with the robes, and pulls out a green apple which she finds a spot top put it down, followed by another. "It's your lucky day, managed to not get them crushed somehow." Zofija chuckles. "And that's not what I mean Slix. Making me wonder if all that chanting actually has anything to do with the magic you're casting, is all."

"Nothing to apologize for Tegri, really. If anyone should be it's me, but it's alright. Just glad everyone is mostly in one piece." She adds to the blue egalrin. "I guess that just leaves me around here, maybe I can convince them to let me out early if I'm a good not that little patient and go get some bed rest and water."

Telamon has left, the egalrin are leaving, and Zofija's given her a snack. Lady Nuala smiles as she looks over at Zofija, shifting a little on the bed as she reaches out to take the apple. She picks it up in her free hand and begins to eat.

"You have made me happy, lady Zofija, but I would be happier if you sought rest," the fey lady says, pausing mid-crunch of the apple with teeth that are pearl-white--canine teeth slightly too long for an elf.

She works surprisingly quickly, the apple down to its core in no time... and then she actually eats the core. She finishes it off, like the apple was never there, and then she curls up in the bed.

"Good night, lady Zofija. Farewell. Or goodbye."

Her eyes flutter shut.

"...Farewell-bye? Why not combine them both," she murmurs quietly.

The rain quickly lulls her to sleep.

The 'C' is for Comedy
<OOC> Ravenstongue says, "Also, Jay, you should know: I told Mr RT about the PRP last night and had to briefly describe all of your characters to set the stage. I got to Jay's full name while Mr RT was washing dishes... And he just stopped and /laughed/ when I explained what the C stands for changes every time."
<OOC> Jay says, "heehee! That's awesome! Definitely say hi to Mr. RT for me!"
<OOC> Jay says, "What might be extra amusing, is that has a bit of RL tie-in."
<OOC> Jay says, "a long time ago when I first got a Credit Card, a 'C' was put in as one of my initials for a middle name, and I never corrected it. I've watched it propagate as my info has been sold, so I always know which mailings got info from that first credit card, and the 'C' doesn't actually stand for anything."
<OOC> Ravenstongue says, "HAHA. That's so funny."
<OOC> Robert has a capital letter in the middle of his name and, boy, does that fuck up paperwork like you would not believe.
<OOC> Robert says, "*last name"
<OOC> Ravenstongue says, "Yeah. Mr RT's last name is technically two names and that tends to be a pain in the butt, so I feel you there."
<OOC> Ravenstongue says, "I plan on hyphenating mine to his when we actually tie the knot, so I'm going to be the nightmare in someone's database when that happens."
