When last we left our brave heroes, they were engaged with a.... centaur of sorts, a man covered in armor with b lades and spinning orbs surrounding him. He'd been torturing the sailors on the other side of the door, letting them feel his imminent arrival, drawing it out and ekeing out every drop of their fear.

Now he is engaged with you, though visible to some only through magic, his outline is more than enough to give concern once it's been set aside with the faerie fire.

Kravar's form now flickers thanks to Thyrson, a mage's blade slicing into the side of the tauric warrior.

He hisses with pain.

"I will add your faces to my collection," he gurgles, wounds slowly sealing.

Durrankar takes a cursory glance at the centaur-like being and listening to his threat....before tilts his head. "You need to make better life choices." Suddenly....four balls of electricity appear around the eviserator. "Like wearing metal armor." and ALL four converge to electrocute the being.

"Oooohhh, yes," purrs the Centauric creature. "I'm going to have to make things easier on you."

He leaps towards Stirling and Kravar in a savage exchange of blows that are not in his favor, initially -- but it's the orbs. The orbs that pass through armor with their ephemeral drills, drills and sawing blades that hack gruesomely Stirling's arm from beneath the elbow, severing it in a spray of blood all together. What's worse, though, is that the /armor/ holds together, even if he knows his limb is useless now.

Stirling keeps his fists up to soak attacks coming at him, blades and drills scoring deep, drawing blood and then brutally taking one of his limbs off. When the titanfists clatters to the ground he just looks at it, briefly shocked. Unfortunately its not an entirely unamiliar sensation for him though and the Arvek discipline holds firm. He steps back and raises his good hand, frost begins to coat the chrome and a blast of ice and snow engulfs the target and the entire back wall. No words, only action.

Kravar fends off a few blows, catching some on his shield and parrying others. But it's only the displacement spell that protects him from the vicious orbs. He grimaces as he sees how Stiling is maimed. But then his expression grows grim. If they don't put this monstrous foe down they'll likely all suffer a similar fate. The Aesir feints with his sword and then steps in closer. He knees the enemy in a foreleg. He spins and bashes it with an elbow and then he channels the last of the momentum into a kick that thuds solidly against it's chest. Kravar uses the resistance to push himself back away from the creature, sword and shield readied.

Astaren is standing in the back, and is working on channeling spells. Letting the itty bitty star knife be nothing more then a annoying fly, while the Mage sword slices through the creature. A powerful grean beam shoots from him as he glances over to Thryson, "I think he is strong against spells like this, got anything else force based?" Holding up his rod of quicken and throwing out a few magic missiles because.

Kravar rolls his shoulder, and old brawler's trick that makes the deadly orb cut into the thickest part of his arm and perhaps saves the limb. As soon as he sees an opening he lunges in again, punching and kicking. Anything to bring his own body into contact with the enemy - and to trigger the enchantments that make his body cause extra harm to those who's origin is outside of his own realm.

"Shh. You hurt me," says the Centaur, kicking hooves and attacking with his blades, whizzing and whirr3ing. It's the spheres, though, that do the real damage. They strike at each of you, whirring into Durrankar's face, taking an eye,while Stirling and Kravar are able to narrowly avoid dismemberment in addition.

For now.

Magic is gonna be real handy when you get back, because ow.

The centaur, though, is looking a bit... paniced.

Thyrson's sword pokes at the centaur's face, then Thyrson conjures another green-white beam --- that eats the surface of the thing, but nothing more than that.

The Dismemberer MIGHT be bracing himself for the sheer fury of Durrankar's attacks, but he's not ready. Durrankar, while holding his hand over his eye and points to the Dismemberer...where the electricity is still coursing through his body....and adds a BIG lightning bolt to it.

"...I'll be back," he hisses. His form begins to... /fade/.

He's fleeing, it seems, into his home plane. Both KRavar and Stirling are able to land powerful blows on him that leave him even more grievously weakened and injured. The spinning orbs, on the other hand, do not acompany him. They collapse to the ground, puppets witht heir strings cut.

He's gone.


GAME: Stirling deactivates his Titan Armor.

GAME: Whirlpoopin' removes the timestop.

Timestop by Whirlpoopin' has left.


"And we'll be waiting, Asshole." Durrankar says as the being fades, still with his hand on his bloody socket. He then touches a wand to his face and stops the bleeding. "Ow..."


As silence settles over the airship compartment, the door, damaged as it is, finally creaks open.

"Oh gods, are you here to save us?" a weary sailor with a missing hand and a cloth over his stump asks.


"Yes," is Thyrson's simple reply.


Kravar prods one of the fallen orbs with his sword. His other arm holds his shield readied to block in case it springs to life. Until he remembers that shields and armor didn't seem to effect them. That makes him leave the alone. He looks at the sailor and nods. "Yours is the last ship - the others are all accounted for."


"yeah. We saw you were in trouble and came to help." Durrankar says with a bit of pain in his voice. "Somehow...I'm not surprised this sort of thing came for you. If I ever meet this 'summoner'....I'm going to make sure he dies slowly.
