It started with an abmush. You were escorting this caravan full of silver from the Happy Valley mines when a group of bandits sitting on a log put a stop to your movement. Then more bandits jumped in from behind from a ...totally different group. Khazadis on diggers.

And then a third group thawt turned out to be wrogs tore down the hill and attacked as well. The bandits don't get paid enough for this. They don't get paid at all. The khazadi fled on their diggers, while the minotaur and his men in the trees and his...mimic-log?!

WEll, they're definitely stuck in the fight.

The minotaur sits up and kicks the former log, which has sprouted arms and legs and a giant maw.

"Right. LEt's not die, huh? Those things can outrun us."

The gunmen, having worgs tring to scale their trees, are reloading as swiftly as possible.

The khazadi remain nowhere to be found. Cowards.

Sargon continues battering at the worg he is fighting, punching it in the side of the head. "Beware! They'll pull you to the ground if they get their jaws on you!" Wrestling wargs is something of a rite of passage among some Oruch clans.

Melora stares at the worg and chops at the worg. The axe cuts the worg deeply as well, but It's still up. "Definitely evil. My first time facing a worg. huh. Thought they'd be bigger."

Strike hears the woman's words and turns to assist, skirting the beast to reach a more advantageous angle, "They're bigger than I remember." then drives the heel of her hand into the mangy canid's ribs drawing a yelp, "But they probably haven't eaten well."

Crash!

The two werewolves slam into the wagon. They are climbing up atop it, now, and getting to their next idea. The panicing horses are, well... really looking like they want to take off. That could be bad...

... or maybe that's the plan?

The worgs continue to attack, oen driving its fangs into Strike's arm while the other two left attack Melora and Whuridred!

The hard lurch as the werewolves start climbing the wagon draws the attention of Seldan, who per his orders had previously stayed inside. Now, though, he pokes his head out to see what is going on - and it's a fight! He doesn't hesitate to fully emerge, and stab a finger at the closest one, shouting words of power that draw a blue-white bolt from his fingertips. This blue-white bolt sinks into the werewolf's shoulder, although it probably doesn't do much more than gets its attention.

From under one of the many fronds of Whuridred's cape, she pulls out carefully knotted net. With a bit of a spread and a flick of the wrists, she lets it strands widen in the air as it falls on one of the worgs, its small holes quickly catching it up around the legs and head.

Nasrin brings her axe down on one of the worgs, seeming enthusiasci about the chacne to 'fight werewolves'.

In any event, the minotaur is casually observing.

"OKAY SO," he yells, "WE'LL HELP FOR A SHARE OF THE GOLD. BEYOND THAT, WE'LL WAIT OVER HERE!"

"BOSS, THE WOLVES ARE TRYING TO KILL US."

"Okay, right. Kill THSOE wolves, then!"

Sargon rears back, fist raised. Once again he smashes it down on the top if the warg's head, drawing yips with each blow. Each time the monster's head sinks lower until finally he smacks it and it falls, no longer able to stand.

Melora's axe begins to glow before she buries her axe into the worg...and it falls onto the ground...limp. "One down."

Apparantly, she made the bad doggie mad. CHOMP! Strike isn't too proud to cry out in pain as the canid clamps down on her staff arm, fingers losing the weapon as it takes her to the ground. They wrassle a bit in the dirt, and she notices, "The wagon's sinking!" a fact she declares through gritted teeth before she focuses as much as she can and snaps a fruitless kick to the beast's underbelly, only for it's frantic actions to throw her aim into nowheretown. DAMN THIS FLIMSY MEAT SHELL! A quick snap up of the opposing knee gets the canid's hind quarters off the ground like a half inch, but then she punches it in the ribs again.

There are few of the worgs left at this point, though some are still climbing trees to the sharp report of gunfire from the men in them. One of them finally reaches a man and knocks him out of said tree, pouncing him to the ground.

The werewolves are noticing something is amiss about their wagon, but they ignore it and proceed to use their claws to begin /tearing off the roof/.

The rending sounds from the roof have Seldan's attention, but something else gets the Elunite's attention better still - a cry of pain. Whirling from the back step of the wagon, he searches for its source, and quickly snaps off more words of power. Blood flies from the worg as the force bolts sink into its haunches, and finally it falls over, unable to continue fighting.

With her worg entangled, the monolithic Whuridred turns back to the wagon. The cry of it sinking drawing her attention to the beasts of burden tied to its front. Hiking up the hem of her massive plant-like cloak, she truddles to the horses. With the work mostly done already, she pulls and cuts the last few straps holding them in place. Then her hand gives the leader of the herd a firm slap on its chestnut buttocks.

"Mmn. That doesn't look good," says the Minotaur to his mimic companion. The two of them begin to lumber off into the woods where more worgs await to retrieve his companions. You know, the ones in the trees about to be turned into Worgfood.

That mimic can really run! Especially since it looks like a giant cat now.

Suddenly, a wagon wheel dips intgo the earth, trapping the wagon here. Seems the khazadi are still around and are playing games...

Melora, of clear mind that even if they get the wagon back onto solid ground, if the worgs continue to run free, they'll just try to take the silver anyways. So melora hacks at the worg that's tangled up, drawing some blood.

As the hungry wolf collapses next to her, Strike looks up to her savior and bows her head in acknowledgement before clamboring to her feet, focusing again to hurl her last tanglefoot bag at one of the werewolves crawling all over the merchandise. As the lycan looks her way, her expression is, "Please. Bring it." GAME: Whirlpoopin' advances the initiative order.

Splat.

The werewolves look unamused. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get this shit out of fur?! That's the look on the lupine face of one. It's eyes are like 'you. Later'.

Then its back to work on tearing the wagon top off. Thankfully, the wagon top is armored plates. Unfortuantely, werewolf claws are...really..really long and sharp. They're making progress, slowly.

But then the wagon lists a bit more and there's frustrated growls from both of them. They know what's happening and they're going to run out of time before they can get the wagon open to get the silver within.

Snarl.

As the wagon lists, Seldan's station on the wagon steps is quickly becoming precarious. So he hops down and runs to where he can see the unentangled werewolf. One more time does he unleash those words of power, and another bolt of blue-white light shoots from his fingertips. It doesn't appear to do that much, but he shouts after it, 'Your mother was a gobber dog!'

GAME: Whuridred casts Entangle. Caster Level: 2 DC: 14

Sinking a hand into the wriggling bag on her back, Whuridred draws out a large turnip looking... thing. Small roots like arms and legs hang at its sides. Holding it in front of her she starts smacking it one what could best described as its belly. The white turnip starts to turn red and too small eyes open along with one big mouth. It lets out a wail as she tosses it underneath the wagon. What it does isn't seen, but moments later grass and vines and all sorts of plant matter starts writhing and growing. The ground beneath slows in its sinking as the myriad of root systems hold things together. The wailing dies away in a muffled fashion, as if the little turnip man was now underground.
