  • Title: Tails and Tales
  • Emitter: Ezil
  • Characters: Ezil, Garrett, Kaelyn, Merek, Cryosanthia, Braelnoir
  • Place: A07: Fernwood Pub
  • Time: Sunday, January 26, 2020, 6:42 PM
  • Summary: Ezil takes his dinner at the Fernwood Pub, with a large elf-drake taur sleeping near his table. Garrett and Merek arrive and join their friend. They are served by Cryosanthia who is working at the pub and seems to have dish-washing and drake-waking duties. Waking Kaelyn does not go well, scattering equipment and furniture, injuring Ezil. All is cleaned up by one of Kaelyn's artifices, and Braelnoir arrives and joins the group. Kae supplies Fish and Chips, and Salsa, while Braelnoir explains the origins of her Scythe. The evening draws to a close.

The common room of the Fernwood Pub dominates the inn, spacious and airy because of the high, vaulted ceiling. Ornately carved beams of dark, polished wood form a lattice overhead, supporting the arched roof two storeys above the floor. To the right of the double-door entry is a spiral staircase, winding upwards to a balcony that rings and overlooks the main area. Large windows at this level grant an excellent view of the river to the west and colorful market stalls to the north and east. An air of coziness is salvaged by keeping the pub dimly lit; parchment-shrouded mana lanterns hang at intervals from the base of the balcony, nestled amongst lush, magically propagated ivy and ferns that grow over this false demi-ceiling and the struts that support it.

The bar is sleek and simple, comprised of meticulously polished black lacquer. Tables are set under the darker niches formed by the balcony floor as well as on the balcony itself. A few are deliberately sized to accommodate halflings and gnomes, but the majority are meant for human-sized individuals. A large common table is on the main floor, set before a semi-circular stage situated against the western wall. Beside it, with pipes mounted upon the wall and running up past the balcony and almost to the ceiling, is a refurbished pipe organ made to look like the one lost when the Fernwood was destroyed during the Merkabah Siege.

It's mid-afternoon, and the weather is cold as usual. Ezil finds himself at a corner table, washing his hands in a bowl of warm water, a drink set before him as he tries to stay out of the way as the Fernwood's evening rush has just about began. His drink is as usual, a small-beer, his glance going towards the bar, then the kitchen door as he awaits his food.

Garrett entered the pub. He had on a blonde wig which covered his ears but his face was mostly undisguised. He then makes his wayb to ezil's table and sits. "Whatever you have on special." He says to the waitress and he turns back to Ezil. "You look hungry. Been busy serving the gods?" He asks curiously.

In another corner of the place, is well a couple tables arrayed around a biig pile of what looks to be pillows? The chairs or benches are away from the pillows, ie opposite side. Along the wall are a couple more benches and there's books, apperatuses, all kinds of stuff, including a doodad that has a map of the town and nearby areas floating above the thing, all glowy and all with dots all over it...

Buut there's like this really biiig lump behind them, and well it occasionally moves, well snores is a good describer.. There's a long whip-like scaly tail laying over one of the tables, occasionally twitching some, and the big lump?

Well it's a tauric elf more likely a drake taur, and they're on their back, all four feet kinda up and spread and occasionally twitching some as they dream.... Seems Kae's been working really hard and passed out.... This could be good or bad, or something.... Sitll though, there's looots of very nifty artifice lining the tables along with books, some is very very shiny...

Merek places on the white and black attire of his, while he makes a way into the Fernwood Pub, his scarf pulled about him while he looks to folk, then he's looking to Ezil and Garrett while he comes about that way, nodding to the people. He does look to Kae.

"Not the gods today, Garrett. Just the their children. That was enough for an appetite." Ezil's glance taking in the man as he approaches, leaning as he catches sight of Merek coming in with a raised hand. "Hello, Friend!" he calls loudly, the Faring Folk in his blood on display as he greets the magic user. "Sit, come. Share a meal." he says, motioning to both Garret and Merek, signaling them both.

Taking a moment to pick up his small-beer, Ezil takes a long sip, and looks about the room once more, pausing as he speaks then with a softer tone. "Is that Kaelyn over there?" unsure of that slumbering lump, but having his suspicions.

Garrett smiles and he nods. "I been busy as well. I have secured a donation from a nobleman. He was most generous." He says as he pulls a coin purse from a pocket. "yea its her. I make it a habit to never take from artificers...dont want something I stolen exploding in my face, even if the metals are gold and silver." He explains. He then waves to Merek.

Merek does look to Garrett with his words, lifting his brow a bit, but doesn't speak to it, while he settles about at the table with Ezil, and nods a bit to his friend, "It is wonderful to see you," he says, looking then to the menu, while he waves a hand as well, ordering what looks like a dwarven ale.

That draconic tail twitches and writhes a bit, a little like a stiff snake, then well a biiiiiig forepaw is now visible as Kae rolls and that forepaw rests on the table... A back paw is also visible, the huge slightly curved claws twitching on those stubby draconic digits...

A deeeep breath later and a back foot twitches some, wobbling the table and its contents, and of course making a waitress nervous and all, considering well, artifice looots of it and magic books and there's a big sleeping drake-taur woman bumping those tables with all that stuff on it...

Kae's arms end up over her head and now the forepaw opens, kind of like a big stubby fingered paw/hand then relaxes and curls then repeats and such.... SNOOOORE!!!

Ezil eyes Garrett with a shake of his head, sighing, but that news doesn't seem to dampen his mood. "I am sure you will be generous in turn." he states with a bit of mirth to the man, but as Kae snores he can't help but laugh, shaking his head. "Well it's better than the bard that was in here earlier." jesting.

"Merek, I did something and I hope you can forgive me." Ezil's words for the mage after he orders, his own food arriving, a bowl of soup and hot bread put in his reach before he continues. "You might have a visitor, and I hope you will be kind."

"Ok, sure, I'll try and wake her. And this to that table? Sure" A white scaled hand with small claws stretches out of the kitchen door. It's followed by Cryosanthia, carrying a tray of food and a few drinks. On top of her armour, she's got an apron which has 'Fernwood Pub' embroidered on it. She's the one bringing the food, "Here's your food, and hello, Merek the Scribe and Garrett the Fashionable, I guess these are your drinks?"

Drinks are placed.

GAME: Merek rolls will: (10)+13: 23

Merek seems about to answer Ezil, then he sees the white-scaled in the apron. He bites at his lip in thought, with amusement. "Thank you," he says, grinning. He does take the dwarven ale, while he sips from it, "You're doing well Cryosanthia the Flower?" he asks. He can do a few nicknames as well! He does look to his friend, "What'd you do?" he asks. He looks to Garrett, "Maybe... You know, I wouldn't talk about that a lot."

Another twitch of a foot and well the table it's resting on rocks a bit.. These are big tables Kae's twitching and moving about...

That tail sticks out straight briefly, then well falls limp again as her back paws kick juuust a little bit, kind of bycicling...

Kae then rooools over onto her side now, the paws dissapearing below the level of the table, but the tail is still resting on one table, still sticking up and curling baaack and forth, baaack and forth... Whatever the case, Kae's out, probably stayed up too long.... At least judging by the large numbers of mugs on the bench on the back wall.

Garrett shrugs to Merek. He then gets his drink and begins to drink and eat. "I suggest being careful Cryosanthia...I wager a draketaur will be grouchy to wake." He says as he watches the conversation between Merek and Ezil.

Ezil stares at Cryosanthia as she emerges in that apron, an approving nod coming as he can't help but smile. "We work where there is work, yes, White-One?" his words lowering as he looks to Kae, and then back to Cryo. "You could wake her if you can, we can make room at the table." he notes, pausing. "And yourself? When does shift end?" he asks, shifting to make arrangements, and seeking to move chairs about for those arriving, leaving his food untouched.

"I came across a distressed Mul'niessa outside the Arcanum Society. He seeks connections, a mentor, but fears he will be dejected." Ezil's words coming with a slight frown. "He seems to mean well, but his confidence is shot, and his manners meek. Someone might eat him alive if he doesn't at least find a friend."

"No, my name is already a flower, calling me that is like saying 'Flower the Flower'. So only Cryosanthia. I'll tell you when I've figured out the rest." The white sith-makar corrects Merek, moving his dwaren ale in front of him.

Cryosanthia bows quickly, hearing the heavy thump. "It ends soon, soon-ish. I have to get that." She turns, her own tail held tightly against the back of her legs, and threads expertly through the other patrons and tables.

She avoids that kicking legs, carefully circling around the mass of drake to get to the elf part of Kaelyn. Cryo hunches down, and carefully huffs and grunts into Kaelyn's face making the sort of warm snorting noises that rouse lizards.

GAME: Merek rolls fort: (9)+8: 17

Merek looks to his dwarven ale, then he takes a drink from it, chugging the alcohol. He does look to Cryosanthia, "Ah, I imagine you have a point." He then looks to Garrett with a nod, while he looks to Ezil, "Ah, I would be happy to mentor him while being friends. I suppose people often don't like the people, I don't have a issue." He nods a bit to the man.

One thing about Kae, she's yeah, part big land going killing machine physically, mentally? Oh nope, not at all, so yeah she doesn't react maybe in quite the same way?

She now has a muzzle in her face, and tries to grab at the face that's in her face, and well, yeah, squeeeshies and pulls at said face, muttering about cute baby dragons, a fang-like incisor visible. Squeeesh, pull squeeesh pull!

Maybe it really is 'dangerous' to try and wake the goofy elf-drake-taur...

"IF you ask my mentor, people will do nothing but disappoint you. I have faith in people however. I have grown too cynical over the years." Garrett says as he watches the dragonborn go to try and wake the woman. He sighs and gets up and he moves to the drake-taur's tables and looking through her stuff for anything of value.

GAME: Garrett rolls appraise: (2)+8: 10

Ezil nods once. "I figured you would have no objection. He is called Aetheras, and I said you might direct him in some ways to educate himself." a glance spared as Kae thrashes, coming to pause in his work with a visible wince as Garrett moves to go through the dragon-taurs belongings. "He is braver than I, but I wonder if she is dreaming of the little-gold I saw the other day." speaking of baby dragons, and moving to sit in his seat, looking pointedly to Merek. "It takes all types in this city, but while his heart is good, his actions often...." letting his words end there, a large swig of the small-beer taken.

Cryosanthia is grabbed, her face tugged this way and that, teeth shown during involuntary smiles. She is indulgent, but gently trying to dissuade her, moving her wrists to block and disengage Kae's grip after a few face-pulls, "No. No! You need to let go, they have a very strict no touching policy here. S..s.stop."

How to wake her? Tickling? Ray of Frost to the foot? Snag her tailtip? Roar? Pleading? Cryo decides, more pleading it is. "Wake up, It's evening. There's lots of important drinking to be done."

Meanwhile her tail is out behind her for balance, whipping around also, adding to the hazzard of the drake-taurs limbs. An inattentive thief could easily be caught in a tail trap!

<pe>GAME: Merek rolls reflex: (9)+7: 16

Merek looks then to Garrett while he lifts his brow a bit in thought, standing up. "Yes, well you need to learn to trust people, that's the best way." He then makes a way to that rogue with a nod for Ezil while he takes a moment to maneuver along, then walks right into a tail, sending him towards the man and also the bag.

Kae's tail! It's moving more now, and her eyes sloooowly open, as she. The tail is now moving more rapidly! Look another giant leezart tal to dodge! Her feet kick some too!

She's now looking Cryo eye to eye or muzzle or something? She's still squeeshing Cryo's cheeks some too...

There's another pause and she smacks her lips, "Buh..." Is her intelligent reply then suddenly her eyes go compleeetly wide open.. And yes here's a flail! 6 limbs, ok 7 including the tail! "Eeeeeeeeee!" is the call now before she blinks and stops mid flail/thrash and blinks again...

"Ummmmmm, " he squints, puffs her cheeks out and blinks again "When did you start working here?" She asks, still kinda sleepy but more awake at least? And yeah that massive tail makes a full on lash, sending a bar bench flying half way across the pub.

Garrett looks to the draketaur and he acks as he is tripped into and he tries to keep merek up as well as staying up himself. He then looks to the drake-taur and tries to help merek away from the flailing limbs

Ezil had lost his patience with the silliness, having moved to stand once he saw that this kaiju-battle might end up drawing blood, even if unintentionally. He had shield in hand, and was crossing towards the battle, but a bench takes him by surprise, slamming into his shield first, but the weight of it blowing passed his guard and toppling him backwards with a crash as it connects with his chest. "Uff!" his wind knocked out of him, this being the price he pays for letting things get a bit crazy before he chooses to act.

Cryosanthia is looking eye to eye, nose to snout with Kaelyn, her mouth squished into strange shapes as she attempts to wriggle her cheeks free. "This afternoon, washing dishes for food. Oh Sksssk!"

"Are you ok?" She calls to Ezil, eyes wide as she watches him stagger under the bench. Immediately she is staring into Kaelyn's eyes again. "Scale-Sister! Be easy, you are entwined with furniture and injuring the softskins. Relax, I will assist."

GAME: Merek rolls reflex: (5)+7: 12
GAME: Garrett rolls reflex: (10)+6: 16
GAME: Merek casts Mage Hand. Caster Level: 6 DC: 14

Merek looks like he's nodding to Garrett while he tries to keep them both up, then he sees the bench while he maneuvers away from it, then he's rolling right into the bag, which swings all the contents away from the table while he tries his best to situate. He does try to take the bag up, but still it is on the floor, with him only able to pick up one or so devices from it, not even sure which. "EZIL!" He calls to his friend while he tries to pick up the bench, only to swing a leg from it clean into the pub roof as well.

Ezil sputters a breath, spittle thrown in to the air as his lungs finally allow for a breath after being sent to spasm. It's not words that come out once he can breath, it's laughter, loud laughter as a hand is thrown up n response to Cryosanthia and Merek's words of worry. He's alive, and still apparently in good spirits, but the shock of it sent him in to a bit of hysterics. Kae blinks... there's another blink... She doesn't get the scale sister response.. But then again she wasn't allways scaly...

She then looks doooown, her forepaws are tangled in a stool, back legs kind of hobbled by a bench, and her tail? It's free? It's wagging again... She then puffs her cheeks out again and takes on a look of inteeense concentration, and her tail stills....

Kae then starts trying to work her forepaws free of the stools first... Then there's another pause and she looks at the bartender who's staring at her... "This is soo getting added onto my rent ainnit.." The bartender nods, with this knd of cross-angled evil grin.

Cryosanthia sighs when she sees that Ezil is okay, amused even.

She stays crouched, duck-walking backwards and minding the sweep of her tail. She helps with the stools, lifting them away and to the side once Kae gets out of them, then shifts the bench. She moves out to the end of Kaelyn's tail, which is thicker and heavier than her own. A very impressive tail. "This, is new for you? Do you have a full sense of yourself?"

Glancing upwards at the ceiling, then over at Merek, she nods.

And Garrett seems to have vanished in all the confusion.

GAME: Merek rolls strength: (14)+1: 15

Merek looks about for Garrett while he maneuvers to where Ezil is with a nod to Cryosanthia, then looks to the ceiling. "Well," he tries to keep from notice while he begins to pick up the bench from his friend, while he looks to Kae. He does manage to move the bench then looks to the device in hand while he checks that. He then pokes at it while he places that next to Kae's bag, then he assists the man to his feet.

With the laughing subsiding, Ezil sits up, his glance taking a moment to fixate on Merek and his hand of help. "It was like being kicked by a mule... but worse." joking even with a wince, taking the aid and getting to his feet, a bit unsteady one might notice. "Oh, that was penance, wasn't it?" he asks to no one in particular, but his eyes do go to the women to see if all is well.

Kae blinks and waggles her arms as she finally gets her forepaws free, then she's trying to figure out juuuust how to get her hind legs loose.. "Ummm yup, very, only been this way for a couple months!" She says and now she's kind of curling around her self to try and work her back feet loose... "But yeah, I used to be just a normal every day elf... Went to sleep, woke up lots heavier and with extral limbs and scaly to boot." She says and shrugs... "Anyhoo the 'programming' is there to use my limbs and stuff, but I don't allways know where I am in relation to anything else...."

She then shrugs "I mean it takes babies what? HOw long to get that sense? And we really don't get a good one till shortly after physical maturity? Sooo just imagine suddenly sprouting extra legs, and a tail you've never had before, like evaaar... and now make yer self over 1000 pounds?" She says and then flops back, sighing as she gets her back feet free....

"I understand." Cryosanthia says, clearly considering Kae's words and silent for a while as she thinks through them. She assists as well, moving the furniture in ways that will help the elf-drake-taur with herself. "Perhaps you can attach bells, with little beams, that will jingle when you are too close to something. This will not help with awakening, but other times? Your tail is here."

"Pennance indeed I think, Blessed Follower of the Stars." Cryo looks around for other things that might have fallen off the table. There was a cool glowing map, she noticed that but can't spot it now.

Merek nods a bit to Ezil, then he looks to Cryosanthia and Kae while he shifts his attention that way. He seems to consider while he begins to adjust his attire, then picks up his ale which he finishes. "Do you know why you changed?"

"It was an artifice device." Ezil says to Merek. "She's not the only one changed." offering what he knows of it, though that isn't much. It's the mess that's made that gets his attention, taking a step from the man next to him with a slight wince, and grab at his ribs. The chairs, and bench looked at as he makes to help straighten things, letting Kaelyn fill in the rest as he sets to a new task. Penance isn't over yet.

Kae noddles "Yup an artifice device I was studying... Aaanyhooos, I'm figuring out how to reverse what it's done, as evidently someone stole the thing activated it when they did and well I am what I am now." She says with a shrug... "Sooo it's just a matter of finding it, finding who's got it, separating the two, and then I can study the device and work out a counter for it." She says as she finally gets to her feet.

Kae sits on her haunches and peeers at her stuff, it's pretty much everywhere, and Kae siiiighs, picking something out of a pocket and she waggles it at Cryo.. "Heeey, could you put this roughly into the center of the tavern? And hit the little button on it? It'll clean up the mess." She says cheerfully.

Cryosanthia is in the process of re-arranging the furniture, moving a table beside Kaelyn so she can lean against it. She looks at the offered device, taking it and turning it over. As instructed, she moves to the center of the tavern, telling a few of the other patrons, "You might want to step back."

She sets the device down, looking at Merek and Ezil, gives a small shrug and pushes the button.

Merek looks to the device, then he seems to consider it a moment. He is used to artifice, which means he will nod if he notices that it is safe, then he's maneuvering to watch the thing work while he crosses his arms, nodding to Ezil and to Cryo and Kae. "Fancy work, I still make a few artifice devices myself."

Ezil stops trying to right things, and moving to get out of the way of the device as it's activated. "I've not actually seen one at work before." crossing back towards Merek, and watching Cryosanthia and the device with interest and obvious curiosity. He tries to keep out of the way, taking his time as he moves to pull his seat from the table he was once sitting at, watching.

The device whrrrs, the sides unfolding like petals, splitting into a framework and folding down, popping the device off the ground. It's final form resembles a spiderweb draped over a bowl. Small silvery spheres packed inside unwind limbs and turn into tiny spiders. They swarm, spreading out in a circle which warps into a crescent that encircles Kaelyn's scattered equipment.

Cryosanthia steps back, once, then stands still, letting the small spiders flow past her. Non cross her feet. The spiders move with a tiny clicking, inaudible with just one, but amplified to an unsettling level by the swarms numbers. They 'clean up' mostly gathering and moving Kaelyn's possessions. "This is cool."

About a dozen little spider bots litterally crawl out of the artifice after it folds open, kind of like an odd hole... Those little bots set about repairing damaged items, putting things back, cleaning up and otherwise put the place back to before Kae had her fit. including picking up all of kae's stuff and putting them, somehow back in order up on top of her table again...

Kae titls her head "See! Artifice can be useful!" She says and well beams happily, her lower body taking up that draconic body language perch of well preening one would guess? It's like whatever her upper body does or involuntarily does the lower body adopts something similar but for a different body type... And yes the tail curls and twitches as she smiles happily too..

"Soo yeaaaah.." She peers at the bartender "Soo not tacked onto rent? See it's all fixed?" She says and smiles again..

The bartender crosses his arms and holds up three fingers... Kae blinks and siiiiighs, before moving out of her little corner and putting three more of the cleanup devices on the counter top, before she makes her way back to her corner...

The bartender then smiles "Well ladies!" he says to the wait staff.. "Looks like missus Kaelyn's taking care of tonights washing dishes and cleanup!" He says, Kae jaw-drops and blinks then puffs her cheeks out... "You ddin't have to trick me out of em! I woulda given em to ya anyways!" The bartender then smiles at Kae.. "Yeah, but it's more fun this way..." Yup more puffy cheeks and now Kae's flailing her arms over her head...

Merek watches while the device begins work, then he nods to take notes on the parchment he keeps with him, an artifice pen he has with him which he uses to write with. There's a look to Cryo, Kae, and Ezil while he smiles, "Fascinating. I used to do a lot of work as artificer, although I began to take up magic. I still have the Kulthian in me." He does ask to Cryo, "Do you all have any whisky?"

Ezil just watches with eyes wide. He sits, shifting to find a comfortable position as that display has him fascinated. "Artificer's make these things?" wonder, and confusion in his tone. "I had thought they made trinkets and baubles. I didn't realize." his tone a bit apologetic as he casts Kae a glance. With the bar being put back to order, he raises a hand to echo Merek's question of drink. "I will take a real ale too, if you're still working, White-One." seeming to need something stronger, but giving a hopeful smile. "I would appreciate it, even if I owe you a drink myself."

Cryosanthia hears the bartender and takes off her apron, "I guess I'm off duty." She puts it back on, "Or not. I'll check."

She understands Kaeyln's body language, at least the saurian half of it. It might resemble sith-makar habits, or perhaps the giant lizards they use as beasts of burden. It's oddly comforting to her. Her own tail remains stiff and against her legs as she glides between the tables. Growing up in a jungle has some advantages, as she moves easily between them to pick up the drinks. "Set up a space for me there Blessed Follower of the Stars, I can break after this."

Braelnoir steps into the pub from outside, quick like, and with similar haste, closes the door behind her. It's a bit chilly, after all. That done, she looks the locals over and starts to make her way over to the bar. She gets about halfway when she notices Kaelyn, who's familiar, and her current condition which, decidedly, is not, and it's at that moment the little bard in the merc's head breaks the string on her lute. Course correction! Off toward the artificer's table she goes.

GAME: Merek rolls fort: (14)+8: 22

Merek looks between the folk, while he nods a bit. He is a bit buzzed, but has managed to avoid being full drunk while he smooths his beltcape, looking to Ezil, "I can assist," he says, then maneuvers to do all that, next to Kae's table. He seems content to be with his friend, although he looks to Brae, offering a nod, "Welcome!" He does shift his gaze to Ezil, "Kulthians, you know the story? Artifice almost took the entire world, which even brought the gods themselves to come assist."

Seriously, Kae never understands her lower body language, it just kinda happense! Then she looks to Ezil "Well yeah? We make loots of stuff, including what made me this!" she says and motions to her lower half... "But yeah, I have powered armor I can activate on my self, it can make me a lil stronger and faster, or really fast, or really strong, pending on how I activate it.."

She then shrugs and unhooks a couple dragon spitters... Sets both of them on the table, one is not as fancy as the other, the fancy one is like Really fancy! "One of these was made by me, the other I found, but yeah, these are artifice.." She then ummms and pulls up her little mapping tool which shows a kind of holographic, wire map of the whole city.. "I made this too, it's a navigational tool." She says and then ummmms..

She rubs at her neck "I has a hover board up stairs, it cant fly yet but it goes really fast as it skims between 6 inches and about 12 feet off the ground... I made a horseless carriage, it works some of the time, I'm workin gon an airship." She adds and grins again...

She then ooohs "yeah, the whole Kulthian thing, I sooo don't do that, I try to make stuff that's helpful to the world at large, I works on food making machines, and transport and such." She says and shrugs..

Then she notices Braelnoir.. "Heyooo!" she greets as she hears the lute string break... Kae's tail wags as she waves, the tail bumping the table...

Braelnoir almost distractedly half lifts her empty hand in a wave, "Hey." And, as Kaelyn acknowledges her, she glances down and, "Th'fuck happen'a you?" she asks in a sorta concerned, sorta wierded out tone of voice.

Ezil nods once. "It's one of the warnings in the Faring Tales, but they avoided all such objects." shifting and rising to take his chair, and resitting it as to join Kae's table properly when Merek moved closer to help clear Cryo a seat. "All I ever saw were things like that map, and toys that walked aimlessly." looking then at the table full of Kae's work.

"The elders warned that even the smallest traces could lead to trouble, and only my father would show those with such tools through The Vast." Ezil explains. "I never made the journey with him." a curt nod cast to Braelnoir as she approaches and speaks with Kae. "Hello." he offers.

Cryosanthia returns with drinks, a Whiskey for Merek, small-beers for Ezin and Kaelyn. She's assumed a Dwarven Ale for Braelnoir and puts it into the empty hand she's waving around. "Artificers might take over the world again, if all their devices are as helpful as those spiders."

The white lizard sweeps her tray down to her side, tucking it under her arm, "That armour sounds very useful, and this map is beautiful. What are these things?" She leans in close to examine the dragon spitters, wary and not touching them. Finally she works herself into the seat, minding her tail.

Merek looks to his belt, while he takes a dragonspitter from it as well, his matte black with golden details upon it, like an eagle wing while he places that back into the holster. "Firearms." Then he looks to Kae's curiously while he nods to Ezil, "Probably best, it is not a thing to take lightly. Artifice is crazy."

Kae tilts he rhead curiously and motions ot the spitters. "I dun has them loaded... But yeah, they're weapons... basically.." She pulls what looks like an obling paper wad as it were? She then untwists both ends, and pours the powder out on another piece of paper and lets the little .58 caliber ball roll around... "Soo yeah, basically you rip the end off of oen of these, and pour the powder in, flip it around then ram the ball and paper into the pistol... then it's just a matter of taking this.." She says and holds up a small powder horn, she pours some powder out next to the powder from the cartridge, the powder from the horn is muuuuch finer... "Into this" She says and motions to the flash pan... "You close this.." She motions to the little frizzen, otherwise known ash the 'flippy thingie for the flint to strike' " And you pull this back." She says and motions to the hammer "Then aim and pull the trigger!" she says cheerfully.

Odd thing is, both of Kae's pistols actually have two triggers.... Kae peers waggles her arms and adds.

"mine have a set trigger and an ignition trigger... you can set the pistol off without the set trigger, but the set trigger lets youg et a liiiiil more accuracy." SHe then motions to the barrel and pulls out another bit of artifice and shines a light down the barrel.. It's got engaving inside it that spirals... "These are rifled..." She says and beams happily.

Kae looks now to Braelnoir and then looks back at her giagantic draconic rump and shrugs "I woke up one day with a giant dragn butt..."

Ezil looks to that small-beer, and takes it with a half-smile. "Thank you, White-One. You are keeping me honest." his amusement with the Sith-Makar evident. It's Merek's words that cause his head to bob, though his eyes linger on the dragon spitters that are flashed, and on display. Kae's explanation of them is watched, the brow raising as she explains the workings in detail. "What's rifled?" he asks, confused for a moment, but he decides it's best to sips his drink. "I... I think I will stick to my blades. That seems far too complicated for me."

Braelnoir doesn't put together, at first, that the ale is meant for her as the white Sith returns and starts doling out the goodies. When she does, she dips her head in a warm, "Thanks, luv." Then Kae's answer comes forth and she frowns and, with a shrug, "Huh. Coughin' up a ring seems pretty normal'n light o'that..." She looks around the crew at the table and lifts her hand again, "Hi, I'm Braelnoir, nice t'meetcha'll." As show and tell gets under way, she comments, "Does somethin' to get the ball spinnin' out the barrel I think, can't remember why. Been meanin' t'look into learning how t'use them things one day, but damn are they expensive!"

Merek looks to the whisky brought to him, then he nods to Cryosanthia, "Thank you," he says. He looks over to Braelnoir, while he thinks about that. "Merek," he mentions, as an introduction. He then takes up his drink to sip from, "What got you into artifice?" he asks Kae, while he looks to Ezil, "So, did you learn anything from... The information?" Secret!

Cryosanthia listens to the firearms lesson, observing the loading procedure, trying to understand the need for rifling. She nods slowly, with a look to Braelnoir, "that is involved. They do look interesting and expensive. Peace be upon your nest, I am Cryosanthia. "

Kae waggles her arms "Yeah they're pricy, once you learn the loading proceedure the weapon is pretty easy to use... Makes a biiig boom... too..." She then motions to the really fancy one. "This is the one I found, it actually shows up in a book or two, called Smol BeegBoom..." She says and shrugs... "It is well, it's kinda louder than a regular dragon spitter when it goes off, but if I use my abilities through it, it really does make a beeeeg booom." She says and grins a bit...

Kae then starts putting things away and looks at Merek curiously. "Showed interest in gadgets as a kid, was taken in and trained by a pair of friends who were a gnome and a gobbo.... "That would sooo explain a lot about Kae... "Oh then later worked ummm.." She tilts her head "over 20 years on an airship, spent most of my life in and around Vandlheim." She adds and grins cheerfully.

Ezil raises a hand in greeting to the newcomers information. "Hello, Braelinor. I am Ezil," he offers in return, smirking. "Thank you for explaining that bit for me."

It's Merek's words that catch Ezil's attention next, shaking his head. "No, I ran in to that matter I told you of earlier. I couldn't let the fellow sit there under a tree stewing in his own anxiety. It will be my agenda on the morrow." not mentioning what that information is. Secrets! "Oh!" his memory stirring. "Does anyone know anything about the small gold dragon flitting about town?"

Braelnoir dips her had a bit to each of the folks as they make introductions. She arches an eyebrow for a moment at the timeframe Kaelyn lays out, but then again, elf blood... A shrug and she grins to Ezil, "Y'welcome, luvvie, though I only heard about't once, I'm no expert." And then, "Come again?"

"Ah, I know it likes fish, might be Fae, I'm not sure," Merek mentions, while he thinks about it.

"I would very much enjoy seeing the Beeeg Booom sometime." Cryosanthia asks. Her mouth purses. She's forgotten to get herself a drink. Rising from the table seems too much of a chore, and asking one of the other servers might pull her back on duty. She sets her hands on the table edge, turning her head to focus on each speaker, listening quietly. "A real small gold dragon, or a wizard under a spell? If it is Fae, is it under the sway of the Fae Queen? This is her territory."

Kae tilts her head "Wel ummm, I've seeen.." She taps her lip "A lil crystaline, a smol crystalin rainbowy dragon, a few bronzes, a brass, a copper..." She says and tilts her head... "Even hung out with a bronze once, fell asleep in her den." She adds and taps her chin again....

Ezil pauses, looking to Merek. "How might it be a fae? I didn't tell you, but it was involved with the Spark, and led me to the child and devils who had it." this news being unnerving to him as he finishes the small-beer with a sigh. "I need another. Anyone else?" seeming to want to make a trip to the bar. "I need to walk a second. Ribs are making me uncomfortable." speaking of the impact earlier.

Merek begins piecing together everything, while he nods to Ezil, "If we met the same golden dragon... I'm thinking that it might be here for a reason. Also, we say that because it's definitely not a kid dragon, it's an adult, with way more power than it should have at that age," he says. He nods, "I will come with you," to the bar, while he sips at his whisky!

"You all have been quite fortunate. I would be interested in meeting any of these dragons. I would have so many questions, I am sure." Cryosanthia says. She remains seated. "I would appreciate a small-beer if you are bringing one back."

Huh. Ok? Brae shrugs it off and reaches for her ale for a swig, "Ahhhh!" she sighs pleasantly, then, "So, this dragon doin' anything partic'larly troublesome or just... takin' in the sights?"

Kae blinks and waggles her arms. "Ooh the little hyper powerful dragon? It's a celestial." Kae says with a shrug... "only way it could be that way." she says and thenshe looks from person to person.. "Ooh I got to meet a goddess the other day tooooo! With the Smol crystaline Dragon.. I couldn't get the lil one to eat treats though!" she says cheerfully and waggles her arms happily...

Kae peers at the 'white one' curiously, and digs thorugh her pockets, before she smiles and pulls out a little well, it looks kind of like a big locket on a chain... "Time peace... You can wears it around your neck like a necklace, but when you open it and hit this." She says and hits a button, it displays the time of day, and the date in wire frame in mid air at a comfortable distance to read. "Then jsut close it.." She says and places that in the Sith's hands with a big grin.

"It seemed.... very flighty of the mind. Impatient, and determined." Ezil says, moving with Merek as he motions a gesture to Cryo. "Of course. Though... nevermind." he muses, heading to the bar to order, motioning for Merek to join him as he had offered. "You sure you'll be fine?" he teases the man, taking this time to stretch a bit, calling back to the others. "It witnessed, or aided in the theft. I don't know which, but it tattled on those who had the spark for fish. That's about all I know."

Merek nods a bit to Ezil, while he sips from his whisky, "I can manage my alcohol," he says, with a chuckle, then he listens to Cryo, Kae, and Brae while he looks to the people thoughtfully.

Cryosanthia takes the device, looking at it in her hands. She blinks, tilting her head. "It shall show me the time? And then dragons and celestials shall arrive, to ask me the time?"

She pushes the button. The time and date, as advertized, hovers in front of her face. She smiles, sniffing at the effect, then closes the timepiece. The time vanishes. "Indeed!"

Braelnoir hmmm's, "Neat little gadget." Brae replies approvingly, "Good t'keep track of appointments I bet." She leans a hip against a neighboring table and props her scythe over her shoulder, "So... A dragon snitched on.... fish thieves...?"

Kae then tilts her head curiously... "Sooo anyone hungry?" She asks curiously, then suddenly gets a biiiiig grin at a thought. She digs through a saddle bag and produces a little box. She hits a button and the box gets bigger... "So who's hungry?" She says cheerfully

Ezil ordered those two small-beers, and a stouter ale while at the bar. "I am sure you can, Merek." he muses, taking up the drinks after they are poured, and looking back to the table. "Well no. An artifact was stolen, but the gold sold out those who took it for fish." he clarifies, waiting for Merek before they head back to the table. It's Kae who reminds him of that stew he never ate, the ruckus earlier causing it to have slipped his mind. Oh well, it will still be good cold.

Merek looks over to Kae, "I wouldn't mind a bit of food," he says, then he's nodding to Ezil a little while he shifts his attention to the drink he picks up, with consideration also, then he begins to sing to himself.

Merek then inhales his drink while he sings, beginning to cough.

"This one is hungry," Cryosanthia says, focusing curiously on Kaelyn's device. She holds the timepiece towards her with both hands, "You wish this back, or it is a gift? It is greatly expensive."

"Remember that pepper salsa y'gave me a while that, Kae." Brae comments with a grin, "Ever tinker any more with'at gizmo ya used t'make it?" The sputtering stall in Merek's singing brings a concerned eye his way, but aside from setting her weapon and ale aside to move his way, she doesn't directly do anything to his benefit, yet, "Easy, luv, one at a time!" she quips. Jokes aside, she does watch intently to see if he can work it through without her having to start pounding on him. Sometimes that's not a good idea.

Kae blinks and looks at Merek then peers at Cryo "Nope it's yours." She says cheerfully "And as far as artifice goes, it wasn't expensive... Made it from scratch." She adds..

Kae now looks back to Braelnoir and noddles rapidly, before hitting buttons on her now bigger box... "You want the chippies too?" She asks curiously, and without waiting, produces a large bowl of the salsa cruda, and of course chips! She puts both out there for anyone who wants to try them to eat them..

Next Kae peers at Cryo curiously, and griiiiins, Kae makes well, fish! It's a grilled fish, on a plate that comes out of the box... She then puts some of the salsa on it and slooowly noooodges it toward Cryo.. "Anyone else?" She says cheerfully, tail now lashing/wagging.

Ezil looks to Merek as he begins to sing, smiling as he crosses back to the table, setting not one, but two drinks before the Sith-Makar. "A small-beer might not be to your liking. It's barely beer at all. I... don't drink much." this being the reason he can knock it back like water. "It's just safer than drinking the water from an inn on the road. You grow to like it. I did anyways." taking his seat, and shifting to get comfortable. "So the food is free, yeah?" he asks, letting his attention fall to Merek after speaking.

Merek lifts up a hand while he motions to the people, "I'm fine," he says, then he picks up a little drink. Which, before anyone can tell him that it's filled with fire liquor, he takes a whole chugging drink. Then he's smiling, then nodding to Brae. Then he looks to Kae, then to Cryo, then to Ezil, then he blinks. Then he opens his mouth!

"Ahhhh!" He flails then he makes a noise while he begins to wipe his tongue with what looks like a towel.

Cryosanthia startles when Merek starts singing, coughing, and then the tension leaves her when she sees Brealnoir has taken charge. The things she's speaking of sound even more interesting, pepper salsa, which Kae makes, apparently. This one mus stick close to her, there is food!

"Thank You! This is very kind." Cryosanthia dips her head towards Kaelyn, then carefully puts the timepiece around her neck and tucks it into her leather breastplate. "Yes, yes!" She takes the plate, inhaling the salsa scent, eagerly pulling the plate into her posession. She takes the fish, lifts it and takes a large bite out of it. She holds it in her mouth, savouring the taste, there does not seem to be much chewing involved, sith-makar are good as swallowing. Her tail scrapes the floor behind her, restrained lashing.

Braelnoir smiles, "Luv ya, Kae...!" she singsongs as the chips and salsa come out. She looks down to Merek as he decides to double down on drinking quirks and gets a good chuckle as he turns to a towel for salvation. She takes up her ale and weapon along the way back to her spot by the table, gets things sorted out and reaches for a chip to dip. Nummy!

Kae peers curiously, she then shrugs and makes two more plates of roasted white-sea-fish and pours salsa over each one of them, making sure to make Brael more salsa and then slides the plates to Merek and Ezil, then makes a biiig plate of fish stew for her self, well a giant bowl.. Big enough to well feed a drake taur, and Kae proceeds to eat. "Anyhooo this was an ivention I worked a lil bit on before I got changed, now I had to kind of perfect it to make it better for my self, as it's like expensive to feeds me!"

Ezil finds himself laughing, wincing, and laughing again despite the pain it spurs in his ribs. Merek is his target, though it's not mocking, but filled with mirth at the antics. Cryo being occupied with trying the food and gifts causes a smile to hold on his face. He stands again, feeling better as he moves passed Merek and his tongue of fire. He spares a look to that offered plate from Kaelyn, motioning that he will be just a moment. "Milk might help better for the burn." he suggests, moving to fetch some from the bar.

"Thank you," Merek offers to the milk, while he takes that to drink from, then he nods while he looks to Cryosanthia and Kae, making his way that way with a look to Brael, wiggling his nose, "I might like to try food as well," he adds, taking himself a little plate.

Cryosanthia eats her fish in several more bites, swallowing with gusto. The bowl of soup also gets her attention, the scent is very alluring. She wipes the remaining salsa off her plate with the tail of the fish. "It is delicious. Kae, you prepare it well, or have made a machine that prepares it well."

She nods as Merek drinks his milk, "It may be spicy for your tongue." Her head moves as she looks to see where Ezil has gotten to. In the meantime she asks Braelnoir, "You have many weapons, are they named?"

Being neighborly, Brae advises, "Salsa'll bitecha, luv, b'that milk or some beer'll smooth it out for ya." That said, she pops the first chip in her mouth and starts chewing. Clearly, she gets bit, as she gets a little color, but isn't quite sweating yet, and her hand is already bringing her ale to her lips for a chaser. The sith's question makes her blink, swallow, then, "Named? Ah...." she starts uncertainly, glancing at her scythe, "I haven't named anything, a lot of my equipment's been issued, broken or taken as a trophy, but... fella I took this from probably called it somethin' spooky. Lotta drama an'pomp, that one."

Kae tilts her head and ooohs "Yeah, Braelnor liked the spicier stuffs, I can make it milder." Kae then grins at Cryo "I come up with the recipes, experiment with cooking, then when I get it exactly right, I input the recipe in the machine. Sooo the machine reproduces my cooking exactly." She says cheerfully. "I even put in a variable that did a sliiight variation on flavors so it tastes home made every time!" She says happily, her arms are flapping up and down rapidly now, seriously she could soooo fly!

Kae then grins and lays her lower half down, now 'sitting' at the table, even if that leaves her torso just a biiit lower than if she were an elf sitting in a chair instead of an elf attached to a drake body.. She's also nomming on her stew... "But yus, the machine makes food based on recipes, requires an artificed power source to run it... Buuuut, yeah, this is the line of stuff I wanna do... If I could get all the kinks out of these inventions, I think they could genuinely help folks... Maybe take away some of the stink that follows artificers."

Ezil takes little time taking his seat to try this dinner of fish and salsa. He falls silent, occupied with food and watching friends as the night seems to be ending on a far better note than it began. At least for him, anyways.

Merek leaves Ezil to his business while he comes back to the others, looking a little bit distant with his friend away. Then he's looking to some of the food while he takes a bite, then sips milk. "This is nice."

"You are Warrior Caste? There is a story to the previous owner, and your victory? This one would hear it if you wish to share." Cryo says, seemingly immune to the heat of the salsa, or perhaps managing it well with her beer. She nods at the details of the cooking process, watching the amusing spectacle of a huge bowl of soup disappearing into a mostly tiny elf body. Assuming one can overlook the drake mass behind, but the table does block a lot of her.

How to answer that, "I'm a warrior, yeah!" Brae settles on, clapping her Kor-branded gauntlet to her chest, "Was part of a band called th'Brazen Stride, though I decided to fight on m'own fer a while." She happily munches on a couple of more dipped chips, "Well, lessee... that was at... Perenath I think." a pause, "No, Isobar... maybe? Somewhere Myrrish. Anyway, there was someone who was plottin' to get a hook into some local politics an' fer some reason a more... proper response wouldn't do, so they hired us."

Merek listens to the two talk about Warrior Caste things while he takes a moment to sip from the milk, listening and watching in curiosity.

"They would fight in politics, but with a Scythe?" Cryosanthia hunches, peering at Brae, "They do not sound like a Noble. A Warlord? What was your response?"

Crunch! Numnumnum, swig, swallow, "Ahh..!" Ahem, "So, we had t'feel out what the situation was, so, we drifted about in twos and threes over a few days, travellin' light. Leather armor under tunics, limited weapons, that sort of thing. The scythe guy, well... he was some rich man's brat, I think. Expensive gear, a flair fer drama an' trying ta come off all grim an' spooky. Anyway, he somehow conviced this landed cakeater, our ultimate target, that he was a competant warrior an' leader of men. Had a little knowhow of tactics t'be fair but..." A shrug.

Merek sips from a the milk while he listens, taking the time to settle back. "Where wasall of that?" he asks curiously.

The white sith-makar nods along, absorbing the details. A few of them are criticisms that could be leveled at her, the flair for drama, romantic gestures and inability to read others well. How self-conscious she actually feels isn't apparent, she may not have made the connections at all. Instead, she is still, snout pointed at Brae, eyes unblinking and the heavy features of her face masking any reaction. There is the faint hiss of her breathing. To compensate, Cryosanthia says, "This one is listening."

Kae is well, yeah, she looks like a tiny elf eating a punchbowl of sea type soup, there's flaky fish, clams, scallops, crab, pretty much looots of stuff that can be found around a harbor in this soup!

Kae beams cheerfully and looks between Brae and Merek, then to Cryo as she watches, now pretty silent...

One thing is for certain about Kae, she's a jolly one. She watches folks, then smiles "I was part of an airship crew!!! Near Vandalheim!" she says cheerfully as if that will explain a lot.. It might for those who know about the air ship business in that area...

Braelnoir shrugs, "A few days hike... west... northwest maybe of Isobar." She puts away another couple of chips, heavy with salsa, then washes it down before continuing, "Anyway, after we wander through in our little groups, sussin' out what we can, we reform to platoon strength and wait fer orders. They opt fer my platoon to waylay some of their guys that we identified, pulled a false flag on'm. Meanwhile, th'other platoon is makin' pretend at another camp with a matchin' flag and a lot of trapwork laid out..."

Merek listens, while he takes a parchment which he uses to write with. Looks like he will keep a few details of the story, likely as the man is a scribe.

GAME: Merek rolls profession/scribe: (8)+7: 15

"Yess. That is a good deception strategy." Cryosanthia says, turning to briefly smile at Kaelyn, "I would hear about airships and your time on them, but I must listen one story at a time."

Braelnoir really loves those chips! Still happily stuffing her face, but, thankfully remembering to swallow before trying to tell the tale. She throws a smile at Kae, then a curious eye to Merek as he starts writing, then looks into Cry's face as she cotninues, "Now, we'd figured out some of the roads they'd use to get up there, so our platoon hunkers down an waits for them to roll on by, then we start setting up some roadblocks fer when they start t'come back. Then we wait." Another chip, then, "Well, th'other platoon was waitin' out in the woods with some decoys. We'd taken some of their guys, so we had some scarecrows in our fake colors standin' guard over scarecrows in theirs. Well, between the mantraps and the ambush once they entered." Airquotes, "The camp, Spooky's boys got mauled pretty bad and bugged out... right into our ambush."

Merek looks about a moment, then he finds a lute which he keeps with him, piecing that about, then he lifts that into his lap. He begins to play a routine melody to accompany the story.

Cryosanthia sneaks one of the chips, puts it in her mouth and crunches slowly. She's keeping track of the platoons on the table with her fingers. She swallows, then grins, "Excellent strategy. I see why you were victorious. Was there a final confrontation in the ambush?"

Kae looks from person to person to person now, blinking as she tilts her head.... She's now listening! Yaaay, she then peers at Cryosanthia and grins before brandishing a small cotton sack of stufff.. "Pasties for your wanderings! they'll keep a few days and stuff!" She says happily and waggles the bag, she also ends up placing one in front of Merek and Brael too....

A grim, smile, perhaps a little smug, "Oh, ya... We brought our roadblocks down in time t'screw up their retreat, and one o'the boys manages to huck a tanglefoot at Spooky's horse. Shame about th'critter, but it did the job. Well, there was enough left of him to occupy most of m'boys, and he decides he's gonna dazzle this... oh, what'd he call me...? OH, A silly farmgirl with daddy's sword. Well, I worked him a bit, but he struck a nerve so I let'm think he was in control of the fight. Talk-talk-talk..... Anyway, after he made the sword comment, I parried his swing so the blade stuck in the ground, said, 'Yeah, an' here's Mama's hammer!' and hooked my warhammer up under his armpit, got'm right over his liver, busted half the ribs on that side..." She shrugs, "Bust up a man's liver an that's usually it for'm unless there's a healer around... Anyway, the rest of our guys come up t'reinforce us and we more or less grind these guys t'kibble."

Merek looks between the three while he nods a bit, taking notes. While he does, he considers, "Amazing, you should also share stories like this, can be inspiring," he admits, with a nod also. He then places up his lute while he shifts a bit.

Merek also takes up a offered pastry, "Thank you!"

Cryosanthia takes the cotton bag, dipping her head to Kaelyn, "Thank you again for your generosity, scale-sister, I am at your service."

Braelnoir of course, still has her full attention as she files the details away mentally. Her mouth breaks open in a smile at the 'farmgirl' comment, and she is involved enough with the description she makes a small swinging motion with her hand.

Perhaps Merek's musical accompanyment was inspirational, or his suggestion, as next she quietly hums, "Her story is seen through the scars on her scythe, wrested from an ursurper who believed his own lies.. I shall have to work on it. It is a grand story. You sound just like a Warrior Caste, who talk through their actions and leave Speakers to craft the words to them! You inspire. Peace be upon your nest, Braelnoir, this one hopes to see you soon again."

The white sith-makar unwinds herself from the bench, getting her tail out of the way, maneuvering her legs, the table being a little tight for her. She gives Merek a thump on the back, then strikes her leather armour the way Brae struck her breastplate earlier. Towards Kae, she grins, "I shall wave from afar, I have seen how your tail slaps things across the room. I must go now all, thank you for your company."

Kae blinks and ummms "Shoulda seen how bad I was like 2 months ago!" She says, waggling her arms, then grins "See ya later then!" She says toward the Sith.. She then blinks and umms "Yeah, Peace upon your nest!" She says, she really only knows the greeting not too many Sith traditional farewells...

Kae looks toward the others cheerfully and tilts her head "But yus, enjoy the pasties, there's a half dozen each bag..." She then winks at Braelnoir.. "I gave you spicy ones!" She says happily....

Braelnoir looks kind of suprised, "Y'really think so?" she replies, "Well... I mean, most fights are usually a little messier, an' some folks around here are a little uneasy with that. Not all our jobs were popular, either." She gives a wave to Cryo as she makes to leave, then looks to Kaelyn, "Thanks, luv!"

Merek nods a bit between the two, "I need to be about my way, it was nice to see folk," he says.

Kae blinks, and waggles her arms as Merek states his intent to leave... "Buhbye!" she says cheerfully... Yeah the arm waggling is sooo Kae's version of a wave, sometimes....

----------------------------------End of Log----------------------------------
-------------------------------Dramatis Personae------------------------------

Braelnoir
A woman with skin the sunkissed side of fair, standing most of six feet, she's probably Acanian, though broad enough of shoulder that she's probably more than a little Aesir as well. Life has cultivated her a solidly muscled physique, tempered to a balance between strength and grace. Her features are fine and even, with stern brows over wolflike amber eyes and a tendency toward a feral grin. Raven hair, knife shorn to a toussled shag, fluffs out from her scalp to drape down and obscure most of her shoulderblades. Her voice is a smokey tennor, accented to the particulars of Stormgarde. From her left ear, the only 'jewelry' upon her person is a copper earring, from which dangles a small brass skeleton.
Her armor starts at a fine, nearly black, breastplate, tempered to an almost iridescent blue violet, cross strapped at her back over a newer, boiled black leather corselet that leaves her left shoulder bare. A finely scaled capelet of burnished steel protects her right shoulder, some of the scales tempered to a straw color and arrayed to form a curious symbol. Her legs are clad in loose trousers of what could have been sailcloth, dyed black in a way that left various whorls and ripples of smoke grey. Knee high boots of smoke colored suede, suitable for cavalry use are buckled behind knee high greaves of Alexandrian steel tempered to a fair match to the breastplate. Her right hand is clad nearly to the elbow in a blued spike-laden gauntlet, while the left is protected by a half-fingered leather affair with an hourglassed demi gauntlet over that, stamped with the symbol of Kor.
Her other accoutrements are manifold and equally diverse. A Khazadi bandolier containing Gods-know-what crosses her torso right-to-left to leave the pouches lining the inward curve of her waist without impeding her sword arm. An Aesir warhammer rides double frogs on her right hip, while a short sword rests in a sheath on her left. Another belt is worn over the other two, hiding all but the left-pointed handle of an antler handled dagger beneath a soft bolt case that opens opposite. At times, a heavy crossbow may be slung over a shoulder along with her beaten tincloth traveller's pack, though the war scythe she carries is easily the weapon that's seen the most wear and care.
