  • Summary: Lt. Colonel Gadrany has asked Thurid to take charge and she accepted. Leaving, she swiftly returns indicating that medics will be coming, and the Colonel. Brand arrives from the Airship and asks what's up. Doctor Deaztor declares "Treason" as Ezrechu Manslayer enters, and throws down a poison gas grenade. Gadrany, Rocky and Shalethiste succumb. Battle Ensues, Ezrechu and Tenoc fight, Shalethiste shakes off the gas effects only for the Doctor to throw a smoke bomb and attempt to escape. Brand and Tenoc concentrate on the Colonel as Thurid casts some protective spells and Shalethiste pursues the Doctor. Tenoc is struck down, and Thurid moves up on Ezrechu, joining Brand and dealing some telling blows on the hobgoblin commander, enough to make her withdraw to the middle of the tent. Brand gives chase, only to be laid low with what surely seems a killing blow. Shalethiste charges in next, also failing to strike. Finally, holy bulls summoned by the Jotun take down the woman. In the aftermath, the casualties are treated and a plan comes about. The party will split, half taking back the patients, the other half remaining to try and rein in the army, using Gadrany's battlefield promotion to Colonel.

Stone Talon, Blar Army, Medical Tent.

"It won't be long now. Be ready."

There's a moment of silence following Gadrany's warning. A silence undercut by the distant sounds of battle in Stone Talon, and the patient struggling on the nearest bed. Infalia skulks through the empty rows up to the group. "What's going on?" She looks at Gadrany and the rest of the healers.

"We're righting an injustice." Thurid tells Infallia then, heading over to where she had left her hammer near the entrance of the room to sling the earthbreaker up and over her shoulder. "The way these patients, this city, has been treated is something I cannot let slide. I am sorry to have dragged you all into this, but it's time to..." she glances about, "Show the Colenel what bravery and honor actually look like. I have a feeling the higher ups in this war have forgotten both." she says as she looks towards Gadrany and Infallia and her companions, each a dip of her head in acknowledgement in turn.

Tenoc stands at the entry to the medical tent, still in his imposing, grim stance. Guarding, attentive-- attention split between watching traffic and listening for summons, request, urgent need. Waiting.

Brand had come along with the Airship and was present inside. Though heh ad little to do, he eventually was given multiple tasks that he solved one at a time until he arrives at the tent where the party seems to be gathering. He nods only once at Tenoc, who informs him. "I have news." He tells him, before he hopes to be allowed inside.

"Mourner Geir has sent me to inform you all that he's ready for patients." he says with a light bow.

"A change in leadership." Gadrany states simply, focusing on Thurid. "What's your plan?"

"Treass.. son." Deaztor hisses, another glowing potion bottle appearing from her waxed leather sleeves. The Plague Doctor demonstrates how she came by her breathing difficulties by immediately smashing it on the floor. A noxious cloud surrounds her and the three closest, Rocky, Shalethiste and Gadrany. They are overcome with coughing fits, dropping to their knees.

Enter Colonel Ezrechu Manslayer, dressed for battle and ready to live up to her name. She's heard enough. She was going to join the festivities in Stone Talon; she'll find her battle celebration here.

"Traitors DIE!"

Tenoc 's first sight of the spiky hob-Colonel is-- impressive. Fierce! The Makar tail thumps in quiet approval...

"Back OFF Coldblood! I'll spit you like a snack," Ezrechu snarls at Tenoc, swiping the blade of her bardiche past his snout. It's effective, and as he starts moving she strides further into the tent.

...before the rest of her brutal pronouncement comes out.

The Hunter chuffs, quivering in momentary alarm. He moves in behind, glaring over at the armored officer with a nair of menace-- somewhat detracted by hesitation.

SKEERY.

Ezrechu doesn't like the sith'makar coming up behind her. Hearing his footfalls she spins and slashes at him with her Bardiche, her first swing crossing the greenscale's chest and cutting. The backswing misses. She snorts back at him.

The picture coming together is just in time for the poison cloud to momentarily overtake three of the Alexandrians, including one Silver Guard who's been having parsing troubles over this whole affair.

As her mistress slumps to her knee for the respiratory assault, the wrapped leather of Valittaa's hilt creaks a whisper within the grip of now steely digits.

In a surge of action, the Mul'niessa twists that hilt to free the blade through the bottom edge of the scabbard and rises to her feet in an upward slash of her longblade accross the poisoner's body, "NO MORE!"

Shalethiste's recent troubles with this whole affair crystalize as both outlet and attonement. She was forced to turn Valittaa against gentle Zanalilla to gain the cure for one plague via her sap....

Now she can wash that rueful stain from the mirrored blue steel in the blood of true villainy, a healer twisted.

Hearing footsteps, Ezrechu spins and flips her bardiche between his feet, upending the Paladin. "Stand or stay down and die like a man!"

Brand attempts to attack Ezrechu, but she manages to trip him with her long weapon. "I don't see how staying down makes one die like a man. I'd prefer to die standing." He attempts to attack Ezrechu, but he misses his attack. He tries to get back to his feet with distractio nfrom others, but he might have bad luck.

The Hunter hisses as the Colonel's blade cuts through the air, raking across golden collar-- drawing blood as it slices against rib and scale. Tenoc eyes the hobgoblin's long weapon dispassionately, his longspear glinting as he twirls it into place. Shaken by the war-tested monger-- but unable to hide a toothy grin as his companions move into action!

"Unwise," he rumbles with a growl-- tossing spear aside as he simply charges his opponent, moving to grapple with a sudden, savage frenzy!

The twisted healer, the Plague Doctor, hisses a muffled shout of pain as Valittaa cuts into her. She recoils back, arms flapping. Another glowing bottle appears as if by magic from her sleeves. It is also smashed on the ground, filling the area around Dea with a thick cloud of smoke.

GAME: Thurid casts Prayer. Caster Level: 6 DC: 16
<OOC> Thurid says, "+1 to Attack, Damage, Saves and Skill checks for all allies, -1 to the same for all enemies."

Thurid still has her hammer resting on a shoulder as the Colenel bursts into the room, and with her other hand she grips the icon of Angoron hanging about her neck. She lifts it high, "Your villainy comes to an end!" she cries out, "The sick of this city are under my protection, in the name of Angoron, I will strike you down for the misdeeds you have overseen here!" she calls out, thrusting the icon forth. A wave of light issues forth from her Icon, washing over all in the area- bolstering and invigorating the spirits of her friends and allies, shaking the conviction of those who dare to stand against her.

She moves over towards the fog cloud, remaining just outside of it, and watching the smoke carefully for signs of a would-be sneaky doctor. "If you can, take them alive. They can be made to confess for their crimes." she calls out to the Sith as he grapples with his own foe.

"Screaming and squealing, like they all do." Ezrechu growls at Brand. Her attention snaps to Tenoc who has slipped up and embraced her. She does not like hugs. The blades and spikes all over her armour might suggest this. A hard shrug, that drives a pauldron spike into the sith'makar's chin emphasizes it. She grins as it penetrates deep, and blood flows.

"No, monster, you won't escape that easily!" Shalethiste snarls as the fog cloud erupts once more. There is a certain righteous light in her eyes as they narrow, a flicker of sickly green light from her pupils before things within the area of Frau Doktor's retreat are suddenly skinned in the same ominous luminence, including the monster, herself. The Mul's pressing advance comes with the other hand closing around the hilt of Valittaa, and she is framed in odd shadows as she, herself is subsumed in the cloud. A vengeful ghost.

Unwilling to allow The Colonel to keep causing damage against him without retorting, Brand suddenly leaps forward, knife in hand and in impressive styl, manages to slice the Colonel across the chest with impressive daggerwork while in movement, the weapon sizzling with holy energies as he makes sure the strike hits and -hurts-. He swiftly rolls back to his feet and holds his daggers in a defensive position and ready to make it hurt more. He takes a deep breath then.

Fury blazes in his eyes as Tenoc's grip tightens; he scents copper, tastes his own blood, jaws rammed shut by the cruel spiked pauldron. No way to speak properly-- his taill lashes as he struggles with the brutish Colonel, grip slick with his own blood-- tightening relentlessly as confidence grows. Hot in throat, heat in belly-- biting back the urge to belch flame in the Colonel's face, writhing up to lock a hard arm around her neck and SQUEEZE!

Legend . 5' ## Bunk Bed, |_ tent

Doctor Deaztor cuts an eerie figure in the fog. The faerie glow illuminates her Plague Doctor costume in unsettling ways, the flickering fire suggestive of her rotten cures and corrupted motivations.

As much as she enjoys suffering, her own is not of interest. With a wheeze she backs away from the advancing Mul'niessa, exiting the cloud and running for the further exit of the tent. Her breathing is loud, through her mask. Still, the escape effort is strong.

GAME: Thurid casts Hold Person. Caster Level: 6 DC: 15
<OOC> Cryosanthia says, "okay so something like 15.5|N.5 ?"

Thurid starts as the doctor darts past her- clearly the four 'healer' can move when she needs to, despite whatever impairs her breathing. She watches the direction the healer moves, and makes her way into the aisle between the rows of the beds to try and get a clear view of the exit the doctor is fleeing towards. When she does, she grasps her icon and yells out after the fleeing figure, "HALT! You may not flee your judgement!" she calls out to them.

Every muscle in the fleeing doctors body freezes in place at once, save for those necessary to keep her alive. Mid-step, she locks in place and tumbles to the ground, unable even to break her fall.

Colonel Ezrechu is held, forced into a lock. The overbearing sith'makar making her bend the knee, forcing her down. Her eyes flame with fury, boiling inside. She snarls, and with a roar throws her arms wide and shakes Tenoc off. His grasp is broken.

"No YOU," Her voice is remorseless, "Will die. I will see to it myself. I bring Judgement."

<OOC> Cryosanthia says, "you're in a fog, yes. I think perception DC10 to realize that"

Silly rabbit...

No one leaves.

With Dea's escape theme skipping the record on Thurid's Divinely backed decree, Shalethiste's footsome pursuit ends on a somewhat less rough hewn note. The Mul approaches with her blade raised, though as the Doctor seems well and truly paralysed, she reaches for the spool of spidersilk as she draws up alongside, "You will face justice, I will see to it." she whispers in a syllabant hiss of boiling contempt.

Brand attempts to attack the Colonel while she seems distracted, only to miss his first attack and for the second? Well, in a rare show of embarassing behavior, his foot drags on the ground and he slides away from her, landing flat on his back. Though he swiftly gets back on his feet, that was...

Yikes.

No smart talk, just yikes. That was bad, even for him.

<OOC> Tenoc eyes. May need to dance away. Something going down. Before I go-- Stuning Fist on the Colonel.
GAME: Tenoc rolls 1d20+1+10+2: (5)+1+10+2: 18

Blood gleams from the toothy jaw. and Tenoc glowers at the escaped Colonel with untold malice. It hurts beneath his jaw, and his tongue feels swollen-- but time for that later. The Makar utters a gutteral hiss, tail snapping to the side as he steps forward. As if he might re-engage the pin--

Sudden as he flips the move instead, a swift palm thrust to the center of the chest.

Swift stroke, swift miss-- the stroke denied by heavy armor plate!

GAME: Cryosanthia rolls 1d20+2-1: (2)+2+-1: 3

The good doktor can't even hiss. Her tumble has bent her mask beak but otherwise she is silent and still, held by the spell. She can't struggle. Has no control over voluntary muscles.

Except...

She can cough. That's her token resistance, a racking wheeze that sounds like laughter as she's being tied up. Or perhaps she knows something, felt a bottle break inside her leathery garb, can feel the fluid trickling against her skin doing who knows what.

Perhaps...

Valittaa's point thunks into the floor as Shalethiste takes a knee beside the enspelled plague doctor, spooling out lengths of braided spider silk for a quick lesson in Mul'niessan ropecraft. She doesn't worry overmuch about the poor dear's comfort and makes sure the work is secure before she looms over her putrecant parcel, oblivious to whatever reassurances are rolling through the villainess's mind.

Thurid offers a nod of approval Shale's way as she heads on over to deal with the wayward Doctor. She lugs her hammer back over her shoulder, and then works her way around the beds and back out into the Aisle until she can see the Colonel- and her allies who are having some trouble subduing her. She hefts the hammer back up onto her shoulder, and then begins striding down the Ailse towards them- eyes aflame and thunder in her heart, her fingers adjust their grip on the mighty hammer she carries.

The Colonel is happy. She's in a difficult fight and enjoying every moment of it. She takes the blow on her breastplate, smiling with sharp teeth and shrugging it off. With a sudden fury she mimics the move, smashing a palm heel into the sith'makar's nose, and following up with a blow to his throat.

The second with a spiked gauntlet that drives two deep holes which immediately gush. The hunter is stunned, falls prone, gasping for breath just like the doctor is, his blood bubbling and gurgling.

Ezrechu laughs, sneering, "Just how I like it."

The sith'makar struggles to staunch the flow of blood.

"See how you like this!" she yells out, following through on the swing to drop the head of the hammer into the ground where it tears a rent.

Deaztor's pants are skin tight, but other than a chest-band she's topless. The leather coat does go down to her ankles, and she's got a leather wimple and such going on with the hat mask. The pants go into boots that are also tight and up to mid thigh, the coat seals against the waist and neck. She's got a bandolier of differently shaped bottles, and some broke, leaking some fluid around in there. It's impossible to avoid. Grabbing a bottle at random and pulling it out, it seems to be the 'Fighting Shape' cure she was trying to apply earlier.

Laughter.

Laughter isn't a proper response to a paladin telling you she will personally see you face justice. It typically denotes one of two possibilities:

1) You're dealing with a nutter.
2) They know something important that you probably don't.

That concludes today's sidebar from Shalethiste's School of Shibari, Search and Seizure.

The Mul'niessan Silver Guard rolls the Doktor over and starts to search her thoroughly. Between the snug leggings and bandeau under the long coat, "You dress like my sister." <sildanyari>

Well, except for the wimple, mask and... bandolier... oh, dear. She unfastenes the sopping, glass laden accessory and sets it aside and suddenly glances at her hand as she notices the unsettling wetness upon her fingers.

Brand just -cannot- hit the Colonel to save his life!!

One can sense frustration from the Sunblade as his daggers strike nothing but air or glide off of the Colonel's armor. But thankfully, he hasn't gotten hit yet.

The sith'makar still struggles with his injuries.

The good doctor's coughing gets a little more high pitched, as Shalethiste's slimy search turns ticklish.

Thurid braces for the blows, and grits her teeth- grunting as the spiked armor presses apart the links of her mail and punctured padded coat and skin both. Trickles of blood begin to soak into her gambeson and scapular, but she does not let it deter her. She braces her heel into the ground, turns her palm to adjust her grip to a reverse one on the haft of the hammer, and with a mighty yell she rips it free of the rent it tore in the ground to swing it back up into the breastplate of the Colonel, smashing the metal to drive yet more air from her lungs, turning her own armor into a prison with each telling blow.

Ezrechu staggers, her armour punched in. Breathing is a challenge. Her sneering warface suggests she isn't about to give up, but she's not going to stay in a poor tactical position.

Ducking, weaving, she withdraws further into the tent. Away from her bardiche, towards Shalethise, passing through the midst of the restrained patients. She rattles a few beds as she passes. "Get up COWARDS. The War is ON."

This order distresses and provokes several to start struggling. Painful, fearful actions that are unlikely to be successful, and only illustrate her disregard for the wounded.

"More poison...." Shelly growls as she rises over the laughing prisoner skeined in sickly green light, the fog affording their silhouettes a certain swamp-gas hallucinatory quality None of her gifts will serve against such bile, and so the paladin rises, hastily pulling her blade from the floor with a flourish ere she starts to close the distance, intent to cut off the Colonel's escape. "I see -you-, villain, I name you Coward and by the Sky Dancer's light, I will see you go -NO FARTHER-!" And, as in in response to the Mul'niessan's pronouncement, or the flourish of her blade, the fog begins to disperse from her, baring her a cold, vengeful reality once more.

Thurid grunts as the Colonel flees, "Coward!" she accuses, and she swings her hammer around to drop its head on the ground. She places a foot atop it, and releases her grip- one hand gripping her icon to lift it up, the other she holds up, palm out. She turns her gaze above, as though peering through the canopy to the heavens above, "Angoron, I besearch you to send down a servant, a divine bull, to aid in bringing this wrongdoer to justice!" she calls out.

A deep rumble shakes the heavens as a storm cloud roils and boils high above in the unseen sky, like thunderous hoofbeats drawing nearer.

Thurids fervant prayer is answered as the roiling sky above the tent breaks, and a bolt of lighting strikes the ground through the tent's canopy just infront of her. A large bull, with shaggy brown fur and brilliant blue eyes is left in the wake of the bolt. It strikes the ground with a hoof, and then huffs a cloud of steam from flaring nostrils, before lowering it's horns and galloping the length of the tent towards the wrongdooer. Crackling arcs of electricity trail from its eyes as it bounds towards the Colonel- slamming into her and rearing up its head to send her hurtling through the air.

Thurid wastes no time- now the fight is over. "Try to keep her alive if you can, but see to our own first!" she calls back towards Shale as the Colonel's broken body smashes into the ground. She leaves her hammer where it stands, haft in the air and head in the dirt, and she rushes over to Tenoc's side, dropping to a knee and holding out her hands on his chest. She closes her eyes and murmurs another, gentler prayer to her god- and her palms glow with positive energy that surges through Tenoc, clearing his airways and knitting closed the worst of his wounds.

Rumble. Chuff. Puff of smokey breath, scented of fruit and squirrel and other things. Tenoc jerks awake with a raspy cough, a hacking mutter as the Sith flicks his tongue once or twice or several times, both to for dry mouth and ensure it is no more forked than necessary!

"Ssssk.....?" he begins, glancing about blearily. Whnat in world==?

The colonel is defeated without further words from her. Crushed and thrown, she lands in a heap after bouncing off one of the bed posts. She is unconscious, fading.

Not so fast she couldn't be saved...

Not so fast even if she was last...

Her last words were 'See to your own'. Could that be considered her dying wish? Final orders?

A wheezing statement is muffled by a bent mask. "I can... save her..." Doktor Deaztor has a solution.

Shalethiste evades the launch window in the wake of the Auroch's charge, and only spares the Colonel a glance to be certain she's staying down. With Thurid's call, she nods and takes a knee, trusting the summoned... deer.... cow.....(?) won't trample her in turn and sets a hand upon Brave Brand's chest, infused with Eluna's healing light.

Shalethiste's healing infusions tend to Brand's most serious wounds, but, alas, it seems he is more dire straits than her meager means can fully allay. with his breathing steady, though conciousness still elusive, she sighs and shakes her head, "I have done all I can for him... he'll live, but... doubtless won't wake tonight without stronger measures." She gently caresses his cheek, "Sky Dancer light this brave soul back to us." she prays in Sildanyari, then takes up her weapon and moves to see to the others, "Be wary of the Doktor, some of her tinctures ruptured, and she may've gotten some of her battle juice in the doing." apparantly, formalities are over. Healing, is applied.

GAME: Thurid casts Stabilize. Caster Level: 6 DC: 13

After bringing Tenoc back from his brush with death, Thurid stides across the tent towards the badly wounded Colonel, stepping over the hogtied doctor as she does. "That will not be necessary." she tells her, as she kneels down next to the Colonel. She places a hand on the wounded hobgoblin's chest, and forces air into her laboring lungs- strengthens her faltering heartbeat. "You must live, that you may answer for your crimes here." she says to her, expression stern. She rolls the Colonel over, and then reaches to retrieve her own length of rope and begin binding her as well while Shale tends to Brand.

"Could you see to the others?" she calls back to Tenoc, tilting her head towards those suffering from coughing fits still.

Tenoc accepts. Vows to return favour with cherished mangoes upon return to Mictlan. Vows to tell story that-- no, biting metal armor IS NOT HELPFUL.

The Colonel is stabilized but doesn't regain consciousness.

With attention from Tenoc and Shalethiste, Rocky, Gadrany and Infalia are roused, treated for whatever the Doktor dosed them with that laid them low. Infalia is looking particularily wretched having been caught beneath a falling sith'makar. She grumbles, "I feel like I was hit by a boulder."

The Lt. Colonel surveys the situation. Her ears are folded down, she looks embarassed and contrite. "I wish I could have assisted. Thank you for this." Gadrany's gaze roams from person to person, "what do we do next?"

All the while in the tent, patients thrash, disturbed by the combat and in the grips of their disease and outside, the war goes on.

"Use heal-hut for heal?" Tenoc croaks unsteadily. Voice still more than a bit rough, he remains mostly in silence--working by checking ties, carrying water, odds and ends-- decidedly casting the Colonel a nasty glare or two. More than happy to administer stronger measures. If asked. Or sinsinuated. Or even giuven half the chance.

PLEASE?

Thurid stands up and looks back across the tent, "We'll calm these patients, first. And then gather up as many sick as we can. We'll make them stable for transport, and evacuate. I doubt the Colonel was the top of this food chain. We'll bring her and the doctor back, to answer for their crimes. Perhaps their confessions will help turn opinion on this honorless war." she says then. She heads over to grab her hammer once more, but only to move it out of the way so that she can go about trying to calm the panic stricken patients.

The conditions in the tent are appaling. The more one looks, the more the issues appear. Compared to DEVA Station, even the plague bed barracks are impeccable. Despite the size, it's crowded, the beds are laid out too close to each other with no partitions. The patients were allocated one set of sheets and it seems they were only changed when a new one is assigned to a bed. Empty beds remain unmade, stained, filthy from previous occupants. Some even contain bundles of bandages that appear to have been tossed over when a neighbouring patient was changed.

There are smells... that waft about as the air currents change. Grit, grime on the bedposts, food underfoot. Occupied beds are a little better but the patients smell, bathed at best once a week. Spot cleaned if someone didn't come by with a bed pan.

This tent... could be used for healing, but it might be kinder to burn it.

"She is here," Gadrany says, "the highest ranking officer. There are other Lt. Colonels in charge of the other camps. Majors command the siege encampments."

The Airship can hold sixty, and is ready. There are only thirty one, thirty three counting the Colonel and Doctor. The patients in the tent could be transfered and it could depart half-empty.

There are more to save. Some from the Blar Army, who have deserted into the surrounding wilderness. Undoubtedly there are more in Stone Talon as well. Civilians in hospital, soldiers overcome and holed up, unable to surrender and unwilling to emerge. It would take some searching. And time.

And somehow resolving an out of control army currently pillaging the beleagured city.

Inbound this looked like the biggest camp and was the only one with a landing pad. It is the main encampent.

Thurid nods her head at the information from Gadrany, "I say we ought move the ones which are safe to transport to the airship- along with our guests." she eyes the two incapacitated foes again. "Some of us should return, with the airship, and explain the situation back at the DEVA camp. Those two ought be handed over for interrogation." she says. "Any who volounteer to stay- and I count myself in that number- will seek out more of those that are ill, and aid in healing here." she says, looking around to see what the others think of her plan.

Tenoc rumbles throatily. Without words-- the Makar dips his head, grunting as he thumps his tail in approval. Though it is half-miunded; the rest of his attention is spent setting his clan mate, Rocky, in a place of rest in a softer corner of the tent, out of the way of traffic. Time enough to let him recover. And to hide a fist-sized stone in his pouch. Immobilizing hobgoblins by falling asleep on them and being too heavy to mnove.

Only a *little* exaggeration.

Shalethiste steps close to Thurid, "I can see them back...." a disdainful look to the prisoners, "Without undue mischief." She shakes her head at the moral bankrupcy and regards the Jotun, "We should fine a way to send word as to treatment to the civliians as well."

"There might not be too many civilians to save." Lt. Colonel Gadrany says, "I can sound the recall, call the soldiers back. This should stop... what they're doing, but the Colonel's absence will need an explanation."

The hobgoblin looks around, "She has a squad of guards and the other Lt. Colonels will have issues regarding leadership. A couple might decided they can battlefield promote themselves. This won't be helpful."

GAME: Tenoc rolls Diplomacy: (1)+2: 3 (EPIC FAIL)

Thurid nods her head again and considers Gadrany's words, "She deserted, you took her command." she says simply. "I'm your mercenary bodyguard." she adds after a moment more thought. The good thing about following a chaotic deity is that there are no qualms about lieing for a good cause. She dips her head at Shale, "Good- go back with the airship, and the sick we have now. I'll remain, and tend to those I can." she says, and glances over to Tenoc, "I'll need help to track down those that fled to the wilds." she says to him, "I've no nose for tracking softskins." she offers him a small grin.

Tenoc rumbles with a rough chuckle, grinning with toothy amusement. And a far glance to near, distant, timeless mountains. Thoughts! "This one help," he adds gruffly, thumping tail in approval. Adding nod after-- self-reminder for thousand time-- softskinned do not have tails!

Gadrany nods, thinking it over. She finally says, "It will be a hard sell, but that should be convincing. Once the others accept command, I will have units available to make this place sufficient, to search the wilds and the city and properly acccept surrender."

She exhales, staring thoughtfully, "Do you think you could pretend to be a Blar General? A high ranking Temple officer might be one, especially in charge of medical treatment. We're not Bludguni and you're not an ogre, but..." Goblinoids do seem willing to defer to bigger authority, if only as a survival instinct.

Shalethiste nods, gently touching Thurid's arm, "Sky Dancer light your path, my friend." she says softly with a thoughtful smile. She looks to Gardany, "Colonel." she adds, a little nodd, then she turns to start cooardinating the transition of patients to the ship's accomodations.

A plan comes together.

Gadrany removes the rank insignia from Ezrechu's armour and hammers it into place on her own. It's the first step of looking the part, convincing the others that she's in charge now. The Doktor and the former Colonel are loaded onto the airship. The less seen of them, the fewer questions. With Thurid on hand, acting as either mercenary bodyguard or higher ranking Blarite soldier, there is a chance the desertion story will sell.

Tenoc explains how he will convince the other sith'makar to come assist in the search. Rocky, Geir, observe this and explain in their own way that it would be better if he stayed behind, to bodyguard Thurid. They will ask the people to volunteer. The greenscale's enthusiastic throat-shaking and throat-injury display are not as attractive as he believes.

Captain Infalia immediately sets her crew to help load. Shaman Geir is dismayed when he sees the condition of the arriving patients. They still have to be restrained, they are simply too far gone in the disease to lie still, but it is done in a kinder way with a greater effort to sooth them.

Blar Army healers arrive, as ordered, and are more than happy to take direction. It is encouraging to see the looks on their faces. Shock and relief, before it is hidden under hob stoicism. They knew it was bad, some didn't know how bad.

As the Airship lifts off, Colonel Gadrany goes to confront the former Colonel's bodyguard. The recall horns herald this immenent encounter. It's two days and a little bit to Alexandria and back.

And a lot can happen in even just a little bit of time.
