The Lower Trades District is the home of the working man of Alexandria. The Lower Trades is divided, unofficially, into two parts: that controlled by the gobbers, and that controlled by the khazad. The two areas stand in contrast, one with a strong, almost formal architecture and a predilection for blacksmiths, the other a mixture of propped-up rubble and gunpowder. The latter's started to grow however, and take form with the aid of the more structured Arvek Nar. Still, the two stand as uneasy neighbors, though the oruch more easily work both sides, often in the spirit of a friendly, if competitive, warriors' competition that's unique to Alexandria, itself.

Here, the "khazad section" boasts a number of blacksmiths, glass smiths, artifice shops, and basic taverns, as well as any number of trades shops and eateries. The sweet tinge of oil, iron, and spiced BBQ is everywhere. Shrines to Reos, or marks of the same, are found over most doorways, in homage to the khazad Mountain Father and World Smith.

Krom wanders the market at an easy pace, less interested in the shops than the crowds of people using them. The northman does pause at one vendor, some sort of artifice contraption churning out blocks of ice, then shaved down and flavored with juice. 'Snow cones', they call it. "No. Not the lemon. Krom never eat yellow snow, not plan to start now. Grape please." <repose>

Hun'rar perks up at seeing the 'snow cone' machine and rushes over behind Krom "Oh! I want the red berry juice flavor. What I would have given to have one of these in Am'Shere. I would be rich!" the knight notes from behind Krom.

Sorscha walks her way into the market district and stretches her arms. She seems to be in a fairly good mood lately, even as hot as it is out there. Then she hears about the snow cone machine and tilts her head. "that is.....interesting..."

Krom steps to the side once his purchase in made, taking a bite of the icy slush and chewing thoughtfully before nodding in satisfaction. "Krom not so sure. Many places distrust such devices, and maybe expensive to run. Alexandria is more accepting."

Aya enters the district from the south, having moved briskly through the boisterous theatre district. Here, the generally quiet, calculated activity is far more welcome.

Hun'rar nods to Krom "Perhaps but once my brothers were to try these..." he takes a bite of the frozen treat "..I believe they would love it. Especially in the heat of the jungle." he adds with a grin. "Positively cold here compared to that."

Sorscha tilts her head a bit. "What is Am'shere that would make the snowcone so popular then? I imagine it's hot if you desire cold....

Aya glances at various vendor booths as she passes them, though it could hardly be called browsing. She then notes several gathered around a singular vendor, and at least one face is familiar. Aya alters her path slightly to close upon them.

Krom shrugs. "Krom find all of Southlands warm. But is okay, much to be seens and done in the heat."

Hun'rar grins "Well you should visit Am'Shere then, you will sweat all day long! I don't desire any temperature. I go where I am needed." he adds to Sorscha.

Sorscha says, "I....gathered that. What I meant was.....what sort of terrain is Am'shere to be so hot? Desert? Jungle?" She then tilts her head. "hell?" Shows her ignorance, but....well....Hell's hot."

Krom says, "Krom has yet to visit Am'Shere. Perhaps some day. Krom has much to learn in Alexandria first."

Fazahd has arrived.

"Am'shere is a fetid, sour swampland filled with nothing but dangerous creatures and carnivorous plants," Aya offers up as she nears. After a pause, she adds, "Or so I've heard."

Hun'rar looks at Sorscha "Lets hope we never visit there! But yes, it is jungle and swamp. I was lucky to have a whole lot of brothers to fight, hunt and compete with. Plus we also had the Great Hunter Dragon to look over us too, of course."

Sorscha shakes her head a little, but smiles. "The more of you I talk to, the more I learn. I swear, I should've come out as a paladin before my son went missing." She then chuckles. "before anyone asks, he was found, and he went back to Elvengate."

Krom considers. "Krom has never seen a jungle. Have seen swamps. Okay with not seeing more." He glances to Sorscha, considering, but keeps quiet.

From Goblintown comes Fazahd, dressed - apparently - for war; in full scale, the priest marches with a hammer at his side and a shield on his arm studded with strange cannon muzzles, and at his shoulder he carries a bizarre sort of flintlock(?) on parade, flanged and crystal-studded barrel tracking the sky. Put in about another hundred of him and you'd have the world's most dangerous infantry unit. Maybe. But instead, it's just one heavily-armed, scowing twenty-something of the cloth.

Hun'rar perks up as he sees Fazahd coming. "Brother of Reos! Who is the target of your ire so we may stay out of your way!" he calls out across the street.

Sorscha looks over to Fazahd and tilts her head. "Yeah. Normally, I'm supposed to be in front, but I'd happily stay out of your way."

Another known face, though the attire is different. Aya arches a brow at the Fazahd dressed up for a night on the city. "Are you out hunting demons in the streets?"

Krom eyes the priest with casual curiousity. "Krom is up for demon hunting."

The priest's long hair is up in a severe bun, bound with bronze chain instead of leather thongs or what have you; it makes him look all the more dour as he strides up the street, and as he stops near the lot of you no smile blunts this impression. "Good evening, Warden, citizens," he replies, all serious business. "I am on night patrol."

Hun'rar claps his hands "Fantastic! Perhaps you would like some company? My shield alongside yours? I would love to hunt down some bad guys."

Sorscha says, "I can walk about for a bit of a patrol myself. Sort of what I'm doing too." She says softly. "I am Sorscha, Sunblade of the Shining Knight.""

"Not necessary, thank you," the priest says, "But I must be on. Hail to you, friends, and be well." Fazahd claps his fist against his breast in salute, dons a helmet with a single gleaming lens in its visor instead of eyeslits, and proceeds up the street.

Fazahd has disconnected.

Hun'rar waves to the leaving Fazahd "Indeed, that reminds me I have to get going as well. Good luck to all of you and may Gilead bless all your hunts." he adds with a smile.

Krom shrugs, and takes another bite of his snowcone. "Krom have no where special to be."

Aya's head swivels to follow Fazahd's passage. "He patrols the night. For his sake, hopefully the night will not consume him."

Hun'rar has left.

Sorscha chuckles. "Hopefully not." She says softly. "but, if ELuna has her way, she will watch him."

Krom eyes the departing priest, and shrugs. "Krom think night more likely in trouble. City is bright and safe, even when sun has set. Is only gone for few hours."

"Forgive me if I have little faith in the patron of lycanthropes and madmen," Aya comments to Sorscha before acknowledging Krom's comment. "Yes, the nights are painfully short, for now, though I wouldn't take light to always be safety."

Sorscha says, "Light is much safety as is the dark. You can just see further in light, normally." She then sighs. "Good Lycanthropes. Not all of them, Gunakhar is for the evil ones, or Caracoth."

Krom shrugs. "Light, dark, sky watches always. Though Krom prefer light. Is easier to see." He nods to Sorscha.

Sorscha says, "Most of us prefer the light, I think." She then sighs. "Ah well. I'll continue my walk." She says softly as she turns east. "Be well, all of you.""
