After finding the box underground, and realizing that this might be a little more challenging than expected you head back up to get a few reinforcements. Now you're back in the too-clean sewers looking at the same now-broken box of stone. It sits in the middle of the sewer like it's supposed to have answers that it clearly doesn't have. Who trapped that /thing/ inside? Why was it there? Where did it come from? None of these things is known to you.

"The last time we were being coming this way, we were being finding a black ooze contained within a stone container. That alone is being strange enough. But.." Lysa says as she moves along through the sewers, "Zeke was being saying that it was most likely not being the black gunk that the Half-Orouch was being consuming and which was being destroying him from the inside out."

The Gobbo clumps along, her boots obviously brand new and dragging as if she isn't used to wearing footwear. "Sewers really shouldn't be this damned clean.", she mutters. "I didn't like it yesterday, and having a day to think about it... nope, this place sucks." Acedia nods at what Lysa says. "That means Kruulvog was licking that rock. Ewh. EWWWWH. Maybe he licked the whole place clean?" She makes a horrified face. "I am never not wearing these boots ever again."

Shaking her head, Lysa states, "No. I was not being saying he was being licking the rock. I was being saying that the remnants of the ooze... were -not- being what he had consumed." Lysa shakes her head. "Zeke was being... tasting the ooze from my armor." She says that with a grossed out look on her pretty face, "And he was being saying that it was not being tasting the way it was described by Kruulvog, thank Daeus."

Foxx blows a plume of blue grey smoke as he puts a cigar between his teeth again. "Damn. Didja take care of the slime or didja let it get away?" Foxx raises the brim of his hat a bit. "So many o' those damned thing around....and we still ain't found the source of those things."

Ennis looks as though he is quite happily relieved that the sewers are so clean. In fact, he looks like someone with very little appreciation for filth. #NeatFreak

He looks at the box and says, "It seems odd, but what of it? It's a box. So what?"

Acedia snorts at Lysa, and then laughs. "He licked your armour?" She laughs a little more. "Well, we took as much sampling of the... stuff, as we could manage.", the Gobbo says to Foxx. "And yeah, we killed the two slimes. Dunno if the ones in that rock were like the others." She cants her head slightly. "There've been other slimes?" To Ennis, she shrugs. "Odd, yes. And it's a stone box. That had a slime imprisoned in it, and it was kind of leaking out... someone put it here, in the middle of the sewers..."

"Turns out. Oozes such as that are not being liking being smashed by hammers." offers Lysa in a dry tone. "And no, he was not being licking my armor. I was being cleaning myself and he was being tasting one of the clothes that I was being using."

But she steps forward, ahead a few paces since the only breeze down here is flowing into the group's faces.. she wants to be upwind of that foul smelling (to her!) smoke.

"Yeah. Ah reckon they don't like being splattered. Everything else only causes more problems."

"Hah, he was still tasting your clothing." The Gobbo wrinkles her nose. "Eeughhh. Does anyone smell that?" She sniffs at Lysa, and then at Foxx's smoke, and then, carefully, at Ennis. "It's not you guys." She takes a few steps away from them, further into the sewer system. "Oh. Actual sewer smell. Imagine that..."

"Yeah. Proper sewer stink ahead of us. Those of us with sensitive noses should puke now or forever hold your lunch." Foxx says that.

Ennis laughs without humor. "Gag me with a rapier."

You decide to travel toward the scent, and as you do it becomes more and more pungent until you're all smelling. A scent like rotting garbage. A scent that is so strong and pervasive that it makes you /taste/ it. Then you turn a corner and you realize exactly /why/ you're smelling the scent. It's not garbage. It's not even sewage. It's zombies.

Lots of zombies, glowing blue through their chests and marching straight toward you...

Ennis is so offended by the foul stench that he wastes no time in drawing his blade and stabbing the nearest living dead.

The zombies seem to become aware of your presence, slowly marching toward you with reaching hands and more grossly; biting teeth. The front line manages to grasp hold of Ennis and Lysa, smacking them both with heavy blows.

Foxx draws his dragonspitter without hesitation and the crack of the shot echos through the sewers. "Well....at least findin' the enemy was easy."

As the Zombies become active, Lysa narrows her eyes, "The glow. It is being as Kruulvag..." she remarks before she gets slammed right in the shoulder. Her armor holds, but the claws found a gap between the plates.

But she growls and pushes her way forward even as healing energy flows up along her body to erase the injury. But as she strides forward, her sword is lifted and she mutters a prayer to Daeus... before her blade of the sword bursts into flame. If anyone had ever made themselves a target... odds are she just did.

Ennis sees Lysa had the same thought as he. "Too many foes, use FIRE!" He lobs a flask of orange liquid that shatters as it impacts the zombie beside Lysa, erupting in flame, but what catches him by surprise is the explosion that follows. Now he really needs a bath. He smiles at the suddenness of the destruction.

The cascade of explosions causes Foxx to closes his eyes and cover his mouth while the explosions happen. Once they're done, however, he looks where the Zombies were, and closes the hammer on his pistol. "That's a fahne how do ya do. Good thinkin' Ennis."

He?!?! needs a bath? Lysa strode forward, intent on engaging the zombies and keeping them off the rest of the party. It's what she does. Her sword was raised, and bathed in divine power. And then.. FIRE EVERYWHERE! She blinks and lifts her left arm to shield her face. Even so, she ends up with very red flesh where any is exposed. When all is said and done.. she called upon her healing power once more, "By Daeus.." she mutters, mostly as an oath. "Be being aware. Blue glowing Zombies are being exploding." she states.

The Gobbo is sitting on the ground, when all is said and done. Covered in gore, some of which is still smoking. There's a good gooey chunk on her cheek, which slowly peels off and falls to the ground. She stares at the carnage, and her nose wrinkles at the smell. "You need to learn how to not set your friends on fire.", she says to Ennis, slowly putting her pistol away. "Are you alright, Lysa?", she wonders. "I can manage to do some healing. Is anyone hurt?"

Ennis bows to Lysa and says, "You took that like a true hero. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience. I’ll buy you any drink you want.?

"I will be being okay." Lysa says. See, she had some zombie bits on her. But most of that burned off. "Be being saving your healing. I've enough for now."
