It's Korday, Daeshen 29 14:06:37 1018. The full moon isn't up. The tide is low and rising. Chilly rain falls from a grey sky. It's bleak and raw. The wind blows from the east.

A07: Fernwood Pub

Sora is sitting at a table at the moment. She has her breastplate but the greatsword she usually has, is not present. She has a bowl of stew and some bread in front of her.

Ga'Elian walks in and heads straight toward the fireplace... until he sees Sora. He says, "That looks like it would warm you inside and out." indicating her stew with a nod. "How go things?"

Sora nods, "That was the point." she says and then shakes her head a bit. "Things are well, quiet but well." she shrugs a bit. She does take a few bites of stew and bread after answering.

Ga'Elian pulls out another chair at Sora'a table, and asks, "Mind if join you?"

Sora nods and smiles, "You are welcome to." she shakes her head a bit, "And your day? How do things go?"

Ga'Elian unslings the bastard sword from his shoulder so that he can actually use the chair, and lays it on the table as he sits. "Battle-ridden. Actually, pretty good. A couple days ago, I shot a couple rocs out of the skies over Rune, then last night, I ended a golem-controlling wizard. Say, where'd you put your sword?"

Sora shakes her head, "Don't need to carry it around anymore. I got something that is much easier for me to carry and be ready still when I want it." she smiles a bit and glances around and then reaches down with her artifice arm and when it comes back up she is holding a fancy looking belt. She flicks it out, whispering to it, and it changes, growing until its a fancy looking greatsword that she holds by the hilt. She flicks her wrist and whispers again, the sword turning back into a belt.

Ga'Elian watches, then says, "Well, that's nice and convenient." He pats the bastard sword and says, "I have pretty good endurance, even for a Sildanyari, but this thing does tend to get heavy after a while." He beckons a server over and asks for "A steak and some red wine, please."

Sora nods her head, "I am not very big, though I have some strength, I think this will be better for me in the long run. It can be enchanted just like a real sword." she says and then nods her head a bit. She finishes off her food after putting the belt back on. "Might look into one made of mithril, it can make it lighter." she says and smiles a bit.

Ga'Elian raises an eyebrow. "Indeed. Plus it would be beautifully shiny, and be effective against the demons of hell, and the wolves of Caracoroth." When his food arrives, he pulls out a coin to pay the server and a vial of a purplish liquid, too.

Sora cocks her head to the side, "Silver is good against Demons of hell?" she asks a bit. She settles back into the chair for a moment resting and ordering another ale.

Ga'Elian nods, "Or devils, as they are also called. Usually." He opens his vial and dumps it into his wine. As he does, an astringent scent wafts through momentarily. Ga'Elian says, "Interesting. Well, the guy did warn about the smell." He lifts the wineglass to his mouth...

Sora looks confused for a moment, "What is that?" she asks and then cocks her head to the side wondering what he was doing.

GAME: Ga'Elian rolls reflex: (1)+12: 13 (CRITICAL FAILURE)

Ga'Elian takes a swig from the glass before Sora's question registers with him. He sets the glass down, and opens his mouth to answer... when suddenly a violent fit of powerful sneezes overtakes him.

(At this point, Really Life snatches Sora, but the explanation of Ga'Elian's predicament (which would have come out if the scene had endured a little longer) is this: He was in the Lower Market District earlier, having just finished some business with a vendor when a street peddler sold him an Anti-pollution Potion. He talked him into the idea that City air is toxic over time, and sold him a "potion" to counter the effects. He also told him that for maximum efficacy, he should mix it with wine and drink it. He was convinced (read: hoodwinked), and paid the con-artist a price appropriate for a potion, then went merrily on his way. When he finally drank the stuff, it turned out to be a sneeze-inducing prank serum.)
