Here, a large wooden structure has been built. Its somewhat eccentric yet elegant design suggests its owner may be of the arcane persuasion. To the side of the main structure is a small corral to for horses or wagons. Before the central building, a massive sword emerges from the earth. A sign upon it reads: "MITHRALA MERCHANDISE."

Inside is a small seating area with several comfortable chairs. To the back, an unobtrusive but businesslike sales counter, and two large signs. One asks patrons to please wait here and not disrupt those inside the lab. The other offers a lab rental at a very reasonable rate.

To the left and right are a large set of doors. The doors on the right lead to a large room which takes up most of the building. Several long tables are scattered about, many with small tool racks. A small forge sits off to the side. Unlike the average workshop, maps of celestial bodies and guides to the elemental planes line the walls. Large frameworks of brass, silver, and crystal occupy space between the tables. A large shelf dominates the far wall, the containers upon it sporting such labels as "wyvern bile," "sulfur," "tiger's tears," and other exotic items. A glass-covered hole in the roof, set with mirrors, offers direct sunlight, or moonlight, to shine upon various projects.

The doors to the left lead towards the direction of the mountains and what is reported to be a sildanyari-style ball room. Wizards.

During regular store hours, a young Llyranesi man, Belhan Mikilos, keeps an eye on the shop and the lab. When not cleaning or helping a customer, he can usually be found reading some book from the library.

Towering white clouds drift slowly through the blue sky. It's hazy and hot, and the glare of the sun seems to drain the color from the landscape.

Mikilos mutters absently to himself as he putters around the courtyard, tiny little dust devils following the wizard and cleaning up the dust. Not exactly a cool sort of breeze, but it helps keep the air moving, with is a bit of a relief from the road.

Somewhere high up in the sky, there is a sound. It sounded like... thunder, or a small explosion. Should Mikilos look up into the air, he would see what appears to be a small black... cloud? Where did that come from? But, whatever, there are bigger fish to worry about than the strange sounds starting to be heard! Like that screaming... I mean, it's just screaming that starts distantly, but quickly gets louder and louder until a blur of movement is seen plummeting down and into the trough of water to keep his mounts watered. SPLASH! Water goes flying all over, perhaps some more timid mounts wander away if able. Steam rises up and our of the trough as some low groans can be heard from within...

Mikilos tsks absently, a gesture sending the little whirls of dust towards the road as he himself heads towards the trough. "Not again..." the elf mutters to himself. "Hoy! You alright?" All things considered, of course.

A small hand comes up and out of the trough, grasping its edge. Some coughs can be heard, followed by a soft husky voice "Waaaa... What?" The person pulls themself to a sitting up position. Mikilos would see, clearly, what is going on here. This figure is clad in pitch black armor with Cyan veins pulsing though it. This person grabs the edge with her other hand and throws herself over the edge and onto the ground with a CLANK! They are just splayed out. This person is a mere two feet tall, smaller than most around, but not so small. On their back coming out of a large metal backpack appears to be a pair of tattered wings made of leather and metal, and on the sides are a pair of... something... docked in ports either side of it.

Mikilos tsks, and frowns mildly. "...Artifice..." Shruging, the overly tall elf steps close and kneels down to offer a hand. "I said, are you alright? Quite the landing you had. Either good aim, or lots of luck.

The small figure tries to move around, but under the helm of dark steel, a voice is heard yet again saying "Armor malfunctioning, need to remove it." She moves her hand to grasp the elf's own, and with his aid, is able to get on her feet. Joints locking up, she quickly moves a hand and presses different parts of her armor. Clicks and hisses follow quickly with presses, and bits of armor starts to fall off of her body. Soon enough, Mikilos gets a good picture of who just fell in his house! A short Goblin woman! She steps over the pile of now defunt scrap that was her armor carefully, as she does not want to get hurt on it. She is wearing skin tight under garments, and that's about it! A top, and a pair of tight shorts. This outfit hardly leaves anything to the imagination! "Hey now! That feels much better being out of that ruined death trap!" She grins widely at the elf towering over her, showing off her pearly whites. "I like to think I got loads of good luck!"

Mikilos shrugs. "Well, welcome to Mithralla Merchandise, by whatever means. I am Mikilostravia Abrioudelanarchie Mithralla, Lord of Estranillia, Archmage of the Fifth Circle, Builder Arcane. But just Mikilos is fine. Dare I ask just what exactly you were doing?"

"Mikilos!" The squat Goblin echoes, the grin only staying as she thinks for a moment on all of this. She looks around the place for a moment, and says "Well.." She stops smiling, and goes over to her pile of junk, and picks up the backpack thing, picking it up and showing to Mikilos the leather wings. "Well! I was testing out the capabilities of possible flight for this thing, and it worked out pretty fine! But... there were some problems with long term flight, I found out a bit too late. Need to work out the problems before I try that again! Last thing anyone wants is a Pyre Pancake!" She pauses, and looks over to the elf, saying "My name is Pyre, by the way! Pyre Kerblewm Hotseat!" Well, that is quite a name...

Mikilos has zero room to talk about odd names. "Well Miss Hotseat, I'd recomend some sort of landing backup before trying again. Ring of Featherfall, gnomish parasol, a few spells learned, whatever method suits your personal style best. I personally favor teleportation, but admit is not so good for exploration or sights along the way."

Pyre huffs softly, crossing her arms under her small chest, saying "Well! Not everyone can afford such stuff... When you live with a budget and you do what I do, you are throwing your life in the capricious hands of fate, but I won't learn anything if I just... do nothing!" She goes over to the backpack thing that seperated from the rest of the armor, and she'd press a button opening it up with a click and hiss, like everything else. She digs though it for a moment before taking out a box that takes up most of the room in that thing, and sets it aside for now. Then she fishes out different tools of odd shape and design, clearly custom made for her work. "I don't think I can make a contraption to mimic teleportation, that seems too hard to work properly... And might get messy..."

Mikilos nods, and shrugs, watching with casual intrest. "No, not everyone can afford such things. Not everyone can afford methods to fly, either. Some can't afford enough food to eat, as far as that goes. We try to assist such indivuduals locally, but in other lands, well, anything is possible." He frowns, and considers a moment. "Anyway, safety should still be a priority. There's plenty to be seen and done upon the ground."

Pyre nods slowly, saying "Well, the ground seems pretty great right now. I ain't taking to the sky again until I get everything hammered out! That means the landing too." She hmms softly, and looks up to Mikilos from her spot on the ground where she is kneeling next to her pile of junked armor. "Where can I buy a ring of Featherfall? Seems like the least cumbersome means of landing if things go bad." She reaches into the backpack again and pulls out a burlap sack and starts to pick up bits of armor and stuffs it into there. "Don't worry, I clean up my messes!"

Mikilos chuckles. "Well, I do forge rings myself. I don't happen to have one handy, but wouldn't take long to craft it. 'Not long' being a couple days. They do run over a thousand gold piece however. Not as expensive as some magical items, but still out of the range of many."

Pyre hums softly as she picks up her stuff, comments after she has cleaned up most of it, "Well, I am terribly poor right now! The move to here from Clank was a long one, costing me nearly every copper I had!" She reaches into her pack to show off the small sack of coins she has, and jangles it to show how light in the pockets she is. Taking out a small hand broom, she starts to sweep up the screws that came loose and tosses into the bag... "There!" And with that, she ties up the sack and leaves it on the ground. "It will take me a while to fully work this out, so I have plenty of time to make the money! Somehow!"

Mikilos nods. "Well, if you havn't already, I'd suggest getting in touch with the Guild of Explorers. They typically have a range of jobs that generally pay fairly well. Not the safest of jobs, mind you, but they do a fairly solid task of matching people up to adventures they can handle. The Artificers Guild also has resource you'll likely want to look into if you havn't already. And of course the Temples are willing to lend a hand to just about anyone in some form or another. Once you've your finance in order, feel free to stop by again... perhaps from along the ground... I craft a wide range of magical items. I tend to go with standard market rates, but I try to make sure every item is crafted to fit the needs of the customer, be it forging the item at an usual size, or just a custom paint job."
