The Laughing Anna

Standard Plot

Moonshadow (Monk 4), Munch (Barbarian 3 / Sorceror 1), Seadhna (Sorceror 2), and Zarr (Fighter 5) sign up to provide protection to a merchant ship sailing to Veyshan.

Piracy has been on the rise along the coastal waters of Veyshan, prompting many merchant captains to hire on additional manpower to protect against boarders. One of the great lures of these jobs is the chance to travel, and often times the ship is unmolested on its journey, resulting in essentially a free trip and easy work.

Captain Elijas of the Red Jay has signed you on to guard his men and cargo during its journey down to the Sea of Shattered Swords. As merchant vessels go it's a little bit on the small side, with just a crew of eleven and a modest hold filled with mechanical components built in Alexandrian forges. Reasonably valuable, though not as easily fenced as most trade goods go. Elijas is a middle-aged man who has managed to keep some of his youthful looks intact, with only a slight hint of grey in his black hair, and no wrinkles yet upon his face. The rest of his crew is an assortment of cousins and professional sailors that seem to be old hands at this, as they have things underway pretty quickly once you're aboard.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Free RP as we set sail to adventure."

Munch crouches silently near the fore of the ship, waiting with a stillness that few non-golems can manage. The barbarin overheard some tale about albatross, and now is determin to catch one for himself. At least it's kept him from pestering the sailors for fresh fish.

Travel by sea is a new and novel experience, and one that the scarlet Makar, Zarr, finds himself relishing fiercely. "And see?" he adds, totally for his companion's benefit. "Over the rail, and at the head....grrr. Fore of the ship? It is red! Good luck, swift fortune, and a sharp bite to prove our enemies foolish!" He grins fiercely, bright whites gleaming in warrior's pleasure. "And fish! All the fish one can eat!"

Seadhna bounces onto the ship pausing only for a moment on the land to look at the boat with trepidation, but that moment is over quickly and soon he is on board and moving toward the bow to set himself up close to a railing incase this trip is like his last on the water.

Moonshadow is on the ship already and is already using it for her balance regime. Of course, she's just a smidge distracted at the fact that a sith'makar seems to be unintentionally trying to make a guy sea sick. She chuckles lightly, but then watches Seadhna as he bounds to the bow. Interesting.....

"Be sure to keep your belongings stowed down below; the waters can get rough once we're out of the Inmost Sea." Elijas comments as he steps away from the helm, leaving his first mate to take over. "We've some netting and bags below for it all. Otherwise, you're free to move about, just listen to the crew when they tell you something." he adds, gesturing with a cane at the men busily tending to the two masts.

Not *intentionally*, but Makar are already known for their... unusual eating habits. And one who works the forges to literally have a cast-iron stomach...!

Zarr barely notices when his "companion" flees from one side of the ship to the other (presumably to heave his poor stomach out), but it does leave the stalwart Makarr releshing the sea wind across his scales. Even the fact it is cool does nothing to dampen his spirit as he turns, nodding towards the captain as he moves to the binding cords holding together metal and plate. "It shall be done, Ship Leader!" he answers, tail lashing in unaccustomed cheer as he throws himself into stowing cargo and belongings, regret vanished as surely as the crack of sunrise across the horizon.

Munch carries nothing but the axe on his back, and the metal which makes his skin. Which if you look close (perhaps -too- close) even the axe is held in place with a light covering of skin/flesh. It's a golem thing, try not to think about it too much.

Moonshadow says, "I usually carry what I need on me, Captain. But thank you." It seems she cerries little on her. However, she does chuckle at Zarr, while the sea air blows through her long hair. She takes a deep breath and looks at her hands for a moment. She does wish to protect the ship."

Seadhna nods once at the captains words but since he only has one pack over his shoulder and the rest of his gear is strapped to him he does not move from his comfy spot. He is not throwing up yet but it is clear from the way he looks over the railing that he is sure it will not be long before he is.

The eldest of the crew, a white-haired half-orc sailor by the name of Trefth, keeps a close eye on the others as they finish their work on the sails. "Triple-check everything, I want us able to outrun anything. Even the mists if that tale is true." he grumbles to the men.

After some time, Zarr emerges from below decks after a moment with a sharp breath of air, looking much the better. Apparently not as comfortable below the deck as above it, the Makar strides forward, back to the railing with a rumble of lizardkin pleasure. "I cannot believe you would give up the sea for the sky, when one can have all of this." A gesture carries out towards the oceans, relaxed ease soothing the fire in his frame. He glances towards Seadhna, rumbling quietly. "Tis glory, yus?"

Munch snaps foreward, the bottom of his jaw splitting open into a wide maw filled with spinning metal 'teeth'. A swift snap, a spray of blood and feathers, and the golem raises a fist in triumph. "Got one!" Sailor: "Actually, that was a seagull, not a-*murph!*" Second, slightly green sailor: "Young one! Quite typical. They're pretty much all the same. Excuse us, duties to attend!" The second sailor drags the first away, hand still firmly over the other's mouth.

Moonshadow looks over towards the half-orc and tilts her head. But she looks over towards Zarr as he emerges. She makes her way over and smiles. "Not everyone can handle the sea. Present company excepted of course but.......and then she stares at Munch. "Munch.....you don't need to kill the seagulls."

Seadhna nods to Zarr "It is glory yes, but I think I would rather be in the sky that sounds fun." He watches as the Golen eats a seagull with great interest then nods to Moonshadow "I hope that I will be better equiped to handle the sea this time since my first time on the sea I got to know the fish near the boat real well."

<OOC> Colrick says, "Lemme know when you're good for a fast-forward :)"

<OOC> Seadhna is good :)

<OOC> Moonshadow is good.

<OOC> Zarr is good. Otherwise, is also good with making Seadhna turn various shades of green. ;3

Munch blinks innocently, a small click with each shuttering of the metallic lids. "People get upset if I eat them alive. Not very tastey anyway. But eating an albatross is for luck!"

<OOC> Munch is good to FF

The hours pass, with dinner being served in the form of a stew and bread, with plenty of rum and other spirits to wash it down. Some fish were caught earlier, but the cook apparently botched cleaning them so badly he had to toss the remains overboard, along with many a jest from his crewmates. Still, the meal was filling if not particularly exciting, and the crew seems plenty friendly towards all of you once a few drinks are in them.

After the meal, everyone returns to their posts on deck, but the mood is relaxed. The sunset is beautiful over the water, casting a red hue across the waves to the west. Unfortunately you do not have long to enjoy that sight, as fog thickens in the air at a significant rate. “That’s odd, we didn’t see any fog ‘head of us.” comments one of Elijas’ younger cousins, a boy barely into his mid-teens, who has been helping with the menial jobs. He looks to his elders, who seemingly look a bit confused at the suddenness of it, but eventually return to their tasks. Trefth looks a bit unnerved, judging from the whitening of his knuckles as he grips the rail and gazes into the mist.

It really is incredibly thick, not even the red glow of the sun can be seen now.

Moonshadow didn't really drink all that much with the sailors. However, while she watches the sunset and preparing for her prayers, she blinks as she notices the fog. When she notices Tefth, she walks over towards him. "Something tells me you've been in this sort of thing before....."

Munch enjoys the offered meal, and espically the rum, cleaning his plate with a long black tongue. As the strange fog falls, the golem goes quiet, pacing the deck restlessly, stubby wings upon his back twitching in anticipation of... whatever is to come.

Seadhna eats sparingly and does not imbibe the rum at all, and as soon as he finishes he returns to his perch in the Bow of the ship. As the fog rolls in he looks around with a smile that is dropped as he hears the sailors talk of it's oddness. He turns back to look out to the sea watching for anything in the fog.

Spoiled fish? Perish the thought! Zarr seems determined to match Munch bite for chomp (and envious of those buzzsaw teeth), but the competition is spirited and good-natured. For a Makar. Water glistens as he tears another hunk from the eel one of the fishers managed to bring up, content with all the world as he gazes into the sun's sinking depths.

The rum helps. Immensely. And whatever Seadhna doesn't drink...!

It takes quite a while for the shift in the crew's atmosphere to reach him, but reach it does. Curiosity as he glances around, then a questioning flick of the eyes towards the mist cloaking in. "Hssst..." Seadhna pages: I can do that instead then, and did you want a perception roll for the looking into the fog?

GAME: Seadhna casts Detect Magic.

Trefth lifts a gnarled hand to nervous scratch at his cheek where a scar runs to his jaw. "I've heard of a fog bank that can devour a crew, leaving naught but an abandoned ship to coast into the shore." he states with a tired voice. "Heard it a few too many times for m-." he says, cut off as the sails noisily shift and go slack. It seems the wind has died down to nothing.

Looking up and seeing the sails go slack, Moonshadow takes a slow and deep breath. "I'm going to guess that isn't good." She says before starting to walk towards the main mast. "trust your instincts, Trefth." She says softly as she slowly closes her eyes.....simply to listen.

Seadhna continues to look out into the fog that is getting ever closer to the ship, after a few moments he begins to quietly chant making a few subtle hand motions as he does so. His eyes begin to faintly glow a deep blue as he finishes his chant, "There is magic out there in the fog, I'm just not sure where yet." He states quietly for anyone close to him to hear.

Munch continues to pace quietly, peering out into the fog, some internal device clicking softly in.... anticipation? Annoyance? It's not a happy noise, whatever the case.

Zarr glances quizzically as the wind slowly stills, and the moment of blissful eternity ends. Anger rekindles for the Makar, and his crest rises with a rattle of metal, a soft hiss. Anger like fire, like flame-- the worst of things aboard a vessel, but focused into a growl of annoyance from the Sith.

"Something comes?" he asks the captain quietly, staring out into the rising fog.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Perception rolls, if you please :)"

GAME: Moonshadow rolls perception: (16)+10: 26 GAME: Seadhna rolls perception: (13)+4: 17 GAME: Zarr rolls Perception: (6)+0: 6 GAME: Munch rolls perception: (20)+6: 26

Elijas has been calm so far, puffing away on a pipe as he reclines near the helm. "Trefth neglects to mention that those sailors were mad men." he says in casual dismissal.

Munch suddenly pauses, stubby wings lifting in alertness, body tense. The golem makes no sound, just points. Towards the faint shadow of a ship, comming closer.

Moonshadow says, "I don't think Trefth is a mad man." She says before gesturing towards the silouhette of an approaching ship. "Raise an alarm is you must, Trefth. But you're not mad.""

The deep blue glow continues as Seadhna turns to look to the east, "The magic is that way," He states pointing in the direction he is facing, "And it is getting closer." This is said a little louder then his last statement.

Zarr peers. Glances at associates. Turns back to mist. Peers more!

"...are you certain you are not mad?" the Makar asks earnestly, staring at the impenetrable bank of fog. Hopelessly!

Indeed, it is a ship, and approaching far quicker than it should given the lack of wind. Soon it is close enough to make out the details. The three-masted vessel is quite literally in tatters, bearing catastrophic holes in its hull that have been patched up by something that looks like tarp from this angle. Also the sails are a patchwork quilt of different colours and textures, and the top of the middle mast bears a jagged splinter where the crow’s nest once was. Blackened swathes on the wood which could be scorch marks or poorly-applied tar further stain the ship. Of it’s crew, little can be seen but silhouettes, some more distinct than others, though one appears to be holding up a lantern.

<OOC> Seadhna says, "now that the ship is fully visable I will drop the detect magic and cast mage armor, Okay?"

<OOC> Colrick says, "Sure :)"

GAME: Seadhna casts Mage Armor.

Moonshadow says, "I don't think that's madness talking." She says to Zarr. "I think we need to prepare for a fight here." Thankfully, she doesn't need to get anything......."

As the worn vessel creaks into view, Zarr tilts his head in curiosity. Living in Alexandria has affored some time to see ships come and go, yet none so poorly maintained. Zarr stares for a moment, finally snorting with a soft rumble. "Deadthings," he growls, muttering blackly. Clawed fingers twitch along his sides, tailtip quivering with silent promise. "Worthless deadthings. Living would not allow their vessel to become so shabby." Without plated mail, but still bearing the terrible weapons of his trade-- twin gauntlets slide over his hands, whispers of death made metal and iron and flesh.

As the ship gets closer the glow fades from Seadhna's eyes, his left hand raises to a leather thong around his neck as his right makes arcane motions and he begins to chant anew. Before long a slightly glowing siut of armor forms around him then fades from sight, even unseen though the armor stays to protect the Lucht Siuil man.

Munch peers paciently, nodding to Zarr. "Likely. But can hope for a live 'master' behind them."

The vessel makes a ninety-degree turn, coming about parallel to the Red Jay, and stopping unnaturally. From this distance the details are much clearer. Zarr’s words were prophetic, for that isn’t tarp covering up the holes in the hull; it’s skin. The most prominent span of it bears what looks like an elven male face, stretched into a silent scream. Similarly the sails are also stitched together hide of various creatures, ranging from fair skin to colourful Sith-Makar hides. The lantern-bearing crewman of the ship is not bearing a lantern; that orange glow is coming from the silhouette’s eye socket. “Flesh, blood, bone, and cargo.” booms a raspy voice. “All is forfeit.”

Elijas utters several prayers to different deities, as he pointlessly tries turning the helm; without wind to fill the sails, the Red Jay barely even shifts an inch to the side. The crew is a shambles; some heading down below, others looking for anything they can swing as a weapon, but none of them looking anywhere near calm and professional.

Munch is a professional. Not all that calm, though. Cheerful anticipation might be more accurate. "Okay! I've no intrest in your cargo, but if you want to forfit your flesh, blood, and bone, I accept your swift surrender!"

Moonshadow smiles to Munch's bravado. "You can try, but you won't succeed." She says balling up her hands into fists. She needs no weapons....her body IS a weapon.

Zarr is not calm. Not beneath the surface, carved of crimson and fury and molten as the setting sun. "I have never shed blood upon the waters of Mother Ocean," he hisses, a growl of hungry promise. Blades shimmer in the evening light as he raises their blades, glittering in the sunrise. "But for not that, I shall avenge worn kin. Come, and be the first to die!"

Seadhna smiles as the demands comeforth and are responded to, "You don't want flesh, blood or bone." He calls back "There is not much there and well, I'm kinda using it a the moment so well, umm, you can't have it."

"Bravado." retorts that voice, the figure with the glowing eye lifts what appears to be a book, which he opens and consults. "Souls be forfeit as well, crew of the Laughing Anna to be." he adds, closing the book and putting it away.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Moonshadow, Seadhna, and Munch may act on this surprise round. One standard or move action. Let me just set the stage real quick."

As the crew takes some inspiration from your confidence, they begin to gather up tools and weapons for the inevitable confrontation. Elijas seems to be no warrior though and stays close to the helm. Yet the Laughing Anna and its mysterious crew does nothing. This pause is interrupted as the wooden deck creaks from the entrance of three figures that pull themselves up from the opposite side. Covered in the tattered remains of clothing and armour, they are skeletons with bits of flesh hanging awkwardly from their bones. Each wields a sword and dragonspitter, levelling first their firearms upon those that spoke in defiance. "A sailor's word is but a knife he cuts himself with; silence serves best." one utters, the other two nodding in agreement.

<OOC> Moonshadow says, "how close are they?" <OOC> Colrick says, "The skeletons are 30' away, on the left side of the ship. The skeletal boarders let loose a fusilade from their dragonspitters, ending the eerie calm of the fog with thunderous cracks. The crew, terrified already by the sight of the dead sailors assaulting their ship, dive for cover rather than react like warriors. The two shots land true on the Sith-Makar and War Golem. However the third forgets his firearm and swings his cutlass instead, landing a scarlet gash on Moonshadow as she closes the distance. "Butchery is hallowed work by all, save for lambs and pigs." utters another, prompting again a nod.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Munch is next :)" <OOC> Munch says, "Draw axe, whatever sort of action that is." <OOC> Colrick says, "Normally move, unless you have quickdraw. Munch makes a puffing noise much like a desersive snort. "I'm no sailor, I'm Munch." Pulling his blade free from its spot on his back, the golem moves towards his attacker, ready to splinter bone. Not quite understanding the undead banter, he inquires "Which are you, lamb or pig?"

GAME: Seadhna casts Magic Missile. <OOC> Colrick says, "Okay, pose it. Now, top of the round. Moonshadow moves to one skeleton and Munch to another leaving the third out in the open. Seadhna begins to chant again the Draconic worlds rolling off his tongue as his right hand makes arcane gestures. Before long a small sapphire ball of force forms and shoots out to strike that third skeleton.

Moonshadow is extremely quick. as the skeletons start to stand upon the deck, Moonshadow goes after one of the skeletons, taking a scimitar in the gut for her actions. However, she retaliates with a pair of punches and a kick, with one of the punches missing. She seems to do a bit of damage.

The skeletons are unflustered by the bravery of the hired adventurers, making short steps away from the railing as they now duel entirely with their cutlasses. The one that took the brunt of Moonshadow's fists finds itself unable to land a hit, but it's comrade cuts her again. Munch's advance is met by a blade as well, biting into his artificial body. "Mock not what is not understand, lest foolishness lay you low." intones a third, again a round of nods.

Zarr shares Munch's misfortune as he turns, a snarl spilling from his lips. The wound is minor, buit his response is raking claws, ripping at the air as he twirls, rushes the enemy. A roar of rage splits the air, but does no damage as iron claws rake along shielding blade's strength.

Seadhna continues the chant flowing easily from one spell to the next, his motions continue almost making it look like the small man is dancing with his hands as another sapphire blue ball of force flys out to strike the same skeleton as last time. A small chip may have broken off of the skeleton but little damage was visibly done.

NOW she turns her attention towards the other skeleton that Zarr just engaged.

The remaining two don't even acknowledge their comrade's destruction, instead focusing on the two immediate threats. Munch's defenses are not so easily pierced, but the second manages another cut on the Sith-Makar. "Bones to bone ash, but the soul is lashed to the mast." utters a voice from the destroyed remains of the skeleton, again the remainder nod. Behind you, three more of the Laughing Anna's 'crew' clamber up onto the deck, readying their dragonspitters and cutlasses. "Back to the Laughing Anna, Jerald Steck; your service is not over, nor ever will it be." booms the voice of the ghastly ship's Captain.

Zarr weaves in with Moonshadow's destructive onslaught. As she steps in from one angle, the Makar moves in from another; one blade lashes through the air, while the second proves more adept.. Bone splinters beneath the vicious strike, but without organs to form living tissue, much of the brutal blow's promise is wasted. Zarr simply snarls; he continues the onslaught without yielding.

Seadhna hears the undead ships captain calling out to his skeletal crew and turns his attention on him. As the draconic words roll from the small man's tongue another ball of force is made and directed to fly over and smack a new foe.

The two skeletal crewman continue their duel, managing again to draw blood on Zarr. Behind you all, the three new boarders steady themselves as they lift their dragonspitters and fire, striking Moonshadow and Munch from the book, but narrowly missing Zarr. The undead captain turns his baleful orange eye upon the halfling. "Seadhna, your soul shall be added to the ledger." that rasping voice declares.

Gunfire explodes from behind, and Zarr barely dodges the lethal slug in time to recieve another slashing blow from his opponent. The Makar returns the blow in kind, however; from his crouched path, the Scarlet swings his blade in a terrible arc, striking bone and leg, taut flesh and moldering sinew. Ivory chips explode as the Makar rises, and Zarr snarls with a wicked grin at his collapsing opponent.

Moonshadow isn't looking all that great. She's been shot more times than she can count, but she remains focused upon the skeleton in front of her. It's met with a roundhouse kick to it's skull, smashing it's head in, then a reverse side kick to crush it's ribcage. The only bad part is, it still doesn't go down.

Seadhna has found a new target that is seemingly getting rather upset at the An Lucht sorcerer. It is at the undead captain that he directs another ball of force which smacks it with a slight thunk. "My soul is mine and I have not added it to any ledger or given you the right to do so!" He calls back answering the statement made.

The second crewman is laid low. "Kilun Var, return to the helm." booms the captain. The third continues without pause, yet again focusing single-mindedly on the Sith-Makar, adding another cut to his collection. The three boarders behind the group do not bother reloading, instead advancing on the group. Two unfortunate crewmen of the Red Jay, cowering near the mast, are cut down in their path as they move up to the three of you. "Patience, Seadhna; you shall serve in the galley soon enough." comes the voice of the captain, seemingly unfazed at the impacts. Truthfully, you didn't even see him flinch.

While still not looking quite well, Moonshadow is still able to produce som nasty kicks. She smashes the skeleton with the first kick, with the second kick being somewhat....superfluous....

The three march in unison towards you, as the comrade before you falls. "Erin Tull, back to the crow's nest with you." announces the captain. Two of the new skeletons take stabs at skewering Moonshadow and Munch, but each don't manage to draw blood. The third peels off from the group and heads for Seadhna, aiming to corner him at the bow.

Not enough to turn the monster away, but perhaps enough to lend advantage!

Seadhna is confronted with a skeleton about to attack him and a charging Zarr and does not faint as any good sorcerer should. Instead he flexes his hands causing each of his fingers to grow into claws and swings at the skeleton. If his claws hit anything but air he would be surprised but he could not tell because he seemed to have sneezed and closed his eyes while attacking.

Moonshadow's really looking bad now, and the injuries are catching up to her. Now, she turns towards the new skeleton that she is facing, and sighs softly, trying to get in three good hits.....but missing all of them.

The skeletal boarders act much more fluidly once their swords weave through the air, not at all like mindless corpses. However it does them no good against Moonshadow and Munch; though injured, both put up a good defense. The skeleton on Seadhna utters a curse in Elvish - with a female voice - before narrowly missing him with her cutlass.

Wrenching the blade free with a splintering crack that snaps the spine and fells the skeleton, the golem peers towards the foul captain. "Ya know, now that I think on it, these bone aren't given much choice, yeah? Think I'll save my ire for the guy giving orders."

Zarr's onslaught continues, with less than spectacular results. Frustration begijns to mount as the Makar warrior continues his attack-- to no avail, as skitter claws of metal scrape from rusted armro, and long-dead bone.

Seeing one last skeleton remaining, Moonshadow makes her way for it. However, her injuries are making her see double, but she still uses her ki and her intelligence to fight defensively, which doesn't help her stunning blow.....which misses.

"I see naught but futility! I am still bound!" the skeleton shrieks, her blade avoided by Zarr this time as she aggressively pushes her attack. "Quila Whitebrook, you overstep." booms the Captain, prompting a wailing shriek of pain from her, her undead body wracked as the sounds of chains rattle about her.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Munch, one pained skeleton before you" <OOC> Munch says, "Sorrta feel sorry for it.... but not enough to stop trying to place an axe it it's skull. Can I get Flanking?" <OOC> Colrick says, "You can" GAME: Munch rolls 1d20+7-2+2: (1)+7+-2+2: 8 <OOC> Colrick offers up Whirl's shoulder for punching. <OOC> Zarr PAUNCH. <OOC> Colrick says, "Zarr, the skeleton seems distracted..." <OOC> Zarr says, "Full Defense. Munch sighs, and swings again, his blows lacking a fair bit of force. Metal man is tired, and out of juice for this battle.

<OOC> Colrick says, "Okay, that's +4 AC?" <OOC> Colrick says, "Yup, +4" <OOC> Colrick says, "Seadhna, wat do? :)" <OOC> Zarr says, "+2 shield (Thanks to 2-Wnp Defense), and +4 Dodge--- AC: 21." <OOC> Seadhna says, "Is she distracted enough to be able to holy water her?" <OOC> Colrick says, "Looks like it" <OOC> Seadhna says, "Okay pull and throw holy water flask at her." <OOC> Seadhna says, "ranged touch attach with flanking right?"

You paged Whirlpool with '2 groups of 3 skeletal champions, staggered arrival so that most of the 1st group was down before the 2nd showed up. I added dragonspitters to their arsenal, for one round of shooting (but no reloading). I think it was near the edge of their limits, but they've almost got the last one down.'

Seadhna uses the Elven skeletons distraction to his advantage pulling out a flask of holy water and launching it onto her. The flask breaks causing the liquid to splash all over her bones which start to smoke and melt. If a skeleton could have a look of surprise surely she would have one as she returns to a dead state.

"Quilla Whitebrook, to the chains." the captain booms, prompting one less pitful wail before her soul is swept away from the skeletal remains. That just leaves the captain himself, and the crew assembled upon the deck. "Forfeit... in due time." he says resignedly, and steps away from the railing. The Laughing Anna's patchwork sails are filled with an unseen wind, and it begins to move once again, heading outwards from the fog that envelops the Red Jay.

Munch sighs, and raises his axe, pointing it at the undead Captain. The blade wobbles, the golem unable to hold it steady, but he points none the less. "You. You want me to join your crew? Then you send a written invation, and you ask. And then you wait for a reply. May be a while, I'd have to find something properly foul to eat before I wipe my ass with it."

GAME: Seadhna used a Holy water.

Moonshadow falls to a knee, but is clearly going to make it. However, she does give the one finger salute to the departing captain. "Nothing in my monk's code says I can't do that to something that can't do it."

As the ghost ship begins to sail away Seadhna smiles a bright smile and waves "Please have a nice long safe trip far far away from here!" He yells then continues "And please don't come back!"

Elijas peers over the helmsman's wheel, quietly observing the departure of the ghastly ship. As its silhouette is swallowed up by the fog, the mists begin to roll away and thin. The sun has set, leaving a crescent moon in the sky to illuminate the deck of the Red Jay. "It's... over?" he whispers, as if afraid to speak too loud.

Munch sighs again, and stretches slowly, replacing his axe upon his back once more, flecks of skin tighting to hold the haft in place. "For now. I don't know much about such things, but we'll not see that ship again this trip. Some other day, some other trip? I don't know. But if we do, we'll fight again."

Moonshadow says, "It's over, thankfully." She groans out as she returns to her feet. "Munch is right....for now." She says as she slumps against one of the railings.....exhausted."

The rest of the journey is quiet, both from lack of incidence and from the crew's own weariness from what they lived through. The two that were cut down from the second set of boarders were given a burial at sea, adding another somber quality to the trip. Your return trip to Alexandria was not aboard the Red Jay, as some members of the crew refused to sail again upon it, declaring it cursed. Short on crew, you made your way back on a sturdy galleon delivering spices to Rosalia and Alexandria, this time not encountering anything on the way back.
