KEGGER FEST!!!(#527)

Despite the cold wind and dark clouds there's a lively festival atmosphere in the air. Lanterns and magical lights glow from ropes hanging over the district as many of the pubs and taverns and especially the breweries have set up stalls where they sell their wares to those passing by. Numerous low tables clutter up the street after the day of market work ends. Surrounding the stalls are some massive kegs that are continually being tapped to refill large decorative mugs. Short stools surround the tables and here and there are several visible contests.

There are chugging contests, a game involving bouncing coins into a tankard and even... *shudder* a singing contest. That's largely the noise that fills the event, drunken carolling as the smell of beer and beer boiled sausages, and beer cheese soup fills the nostrils (also the slight smell of sick...) Several guards keep order, watching the festival with some mirth.

Xiuhcoatl wanders in, his tail lashing back and forth in quick motions, a sure sign of irritation. He looks slyly from person to person, leaning down to begin a sentence "Have you....Where do I..." and so on, though the populace generally ignores him at best, and skirts around the intimidating figure at worst.

Dain stands near the edge of the festivities, watching his people, mountain and thunder enjoy there brew. Obviously in a human city the big people making merry are just as common if not more so, and so, leaving Thrud outside the walls at the Druid area, the dwarf moves up to get a mug of something that smells satisfactory.

Xiuhcoatl leans down to glare at a festival participant and gets shoved a mug of something. His head jerks back in surprise and his gaze narrows. He cautiously sniffs the mug and its contents.

Uneth prefers the open spaces when she does venture into the city. The marketplace is not as pleasant as the gardens, but it seems there's some festivities occuring. The most recent was about The Hunt. Maybe this one is more aligned towards hunters with more than two legs.

Xiuhcoatl looks entranced with the mug though he hasn't taken a drink yet, just puzzled. Slowly, and almost oblivious to the crowds, he clasps the mug in two hands, quirking his head to one side as if asking silent questions to himself.

For most of the folks here there are far too many short people with broad shoulders trundling about, and its a little weird to see such stoic figures in such high spirits or perhaps just high on 'spirits'. Dain takes his mug and moves to a relatively empty short round table in the street.

It's Keggerfest! Of /course/ Sandy is here. There's a mug on the table in front of her, of course, and she seems perfectly happt to be nursing that singl emug for now. After all, as an elf, she can't possibly handle her liqour, right? Right?

Xiuhcoatl stops at the same table and sets the mug down on it, still full. He spreads his fingers out wide, bits of talon gripping the wood. Without his eyes leaving it he says, presumably to Dain. "Something is wrong..."

Right! That's why Myra is here, and is already halfway to being drunk. In fact she has been trying to order onion-rings in elven. Its been that sort of night.

Dain listens to the singing and eventually raises his glass and voice to sing along. It's clear he's no singer, but unfortunately most of those who sing aren't either... "A long time ago, way back in history, when all there was to drink was nothin but cups of tea. When along came a man by the name of Durin Mops, and he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops." His singing is cut short though as he looks up at Xiuhcoatl and asks, 'Wrong?' switching to tradespeak. <khazdul>

Xiuhcoatl sharply turns his head to the side, now looking at Dain. His tradespeak is heavilly accented and somewhat broken. "Your water supply has been poisoned. Someone put rotten bread in it." He sneers and pans the crowd.

Sophia comes in, robes rustling around her as she glances back and forth, the priestess smiling a touch as she sees people being rather merry indeed, as befits the occasion. She moves over towards the keg, then blinks and looks over at Xiuhcoatl, "I beg your pardon?"

Xiuhcoatl rolls his shoulders back, stretching, still looking at the crowd. "Can you not smell it? This water has gone bad."

"I don't think this fellow knows what beer is," says Sandy with a laugh. She's not drunk, then continues, "Welp, this ia fine introduction. Drink up. This is not water. It's what wecall 'beer'. And you know what's great about beer? It can't make you sick the way water can if you drink the wrong water. Oh, sure, you can get sick if you drink too /much/.."

"Bah!" Dain says with a laugh and a wave of his big hand, "Water is poisonous if you drink too much at once, this is only slightly more so and it gives you a much better buzz!" he grins, looking between Sophia and Xiuhcoatl, "You all play 'coinage'?"

Xiuhcoatl glances between the two, quirking a brow to the side, trying to catch up. He snatches up the mug he left on the table aggressively, spilling a bit in the motion, and shifts his gaze betweem Dain and Sandy. His tongue snakes out to lap at the top of the mug in a taste. He pauses, suspiciously.

Myrana 's mug is filled again as she drunkenly tries ever so hard to order the one thing her greedy guts really desire. "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>"

Sophia hrms, "And here I was worried about the base of the brew..." She smiles wryly at Sandy, "How have you been, by the way, it's been a while since I've seen you about." She then blinks at Myrana, and looks over at Sandy, muttering, "Should I be glad I don't speak elvish?"

Xiuhcoatl resigned to this drink not being immediately poisonous, he looks to Dain. "What is this game?" This time he takes a heftier drink of the mug and reels back a bit, as if bitten. He glances back at the mug, blaming it.

WIth a nod towards Xiuhocatl, Sandy says, "There you go. Keep drinking. I assure you, you won't regret it. For now, anyways," she lets out a quick laugh, then says to Sophia, "no, no. He's a... I'm all right." She then eyes Myrana and bursts out laughing.

"Is that where we drunkenly gamble our coin away to you?" Uneth asks the Khazad with some suspicion.

"At least /my/ coin," is what Sandy says to Uneth with a laugh.

Dain nods to Xiuhcoatl, and motions for a server to bring more beer. He then starts to explain, "Well, it starts with a mug in the center, you take a coin and you bounce it on the table and try to make it into the mug.. if you succeed, you choose someone to drink the mug.. if you miss the next person going round gets to try and make the shot, and so on.. You can play it for different levels of coin, so that a copper is one mug, and a gold is three, but if you miss those coins fly away from thee, or we can just stick to coppers and we all keep our coin, its fun either way.." he smiles, his gemstone eyes shining.

Xiuhcoatl finishes his mug, with a slight hiss and sets it down, eyeing it like it made a snide remark. He nods, understanding. "I understand. You try to poison your friends in order to win." He says without a moral hinge or context, just matter of fact. With a slight puff of his chest and setting down an empty mug. "I shall try to poison you the most." he nods matter of factly, stepping slightly forward.

Dain nods, "Generally, the last person playing IS the winner," he admits.. "And if you play for gold, then it is they that collect all the coins.. You can quit at ANY time.. but if you do you lose," he grins.. He's kind of standing out, a khazad alone at a table with big folk, but at least they're talking to him.

Sophia hrms thoughtfully at the game, then laughs softly, "Considering that my ability to aim coins is rather horrible while sober, I daresay this might not be the best game for me to participate in, else I'll quickly end up like, well..." Okay, she's not looking /directly/ at Myrana, but there could be an inference there...

Xiuhcoatl pulls a coin from a small leather pouch and rubs it between two fingers. He humphs at the word 'quit' and glares at the khazad. "Where do I throw this thing?"

Dain smiles, and nods to the other Khazad... They aren't exactly known for their dexterity.. "We still tend to win against the pointy-ears, but that's because we can usually outlast them," he chuckles. He points at the mug in the center of the table, and says, "You have to hit the table first."

"NOw /that/ sounds like a fun enough game," says Sandy to Dain. She's in a good mood. Keggerfest is one of her favoirte times of the year, apparently. It's enough to even make her be a little nice.

And in walks Godwyn!

She's all leathers and dark colors tonight, with her brown coat and black shirt, brown riding leathers and black gloves. Boots up to mid-calf on her feet, and blond hair in a pony tail. She takes in a breath and... well, that's the smell of beer. And food. Both of which are very, very good.

Godwyn sighs and heads toward one of the tables, observing for now.

Xiuhcoatl sighs, almost annoyed. "Other rules I should know? This is a test of skill, no? And not power?" his gaze shifts to the table and carefully flings the coin forward.

"Beer beer beer, tiddly beer beer beer..." is sung out over the crowd as people enjoy sausages and of course beer. Some even supply stronger stuff and there's a few tables where a flaming shot is dropped into a mug of beer and then chugged rapidly. <khazdul>

Myrana stares at Dain, amazed. You'd think that, as the owner of the worst bar in Alexandria, she'd have seen every variety of drinking game known to the civilized world. But its possible that, in HER bar, nobody trusts their friends enough to bounce coppers into cups. "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>" She gets up, and grabs the other woman's arm, weaving drunkenly. "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>"

"CITIZENS, BEHOLD!" That would be Jibbom, announcing his entrance in his typical loud, bombastic style. "It is I! Steel Von Ironblood! Bane of the Night! Alexandrian hero! I have come to join in your revelry!" He poses as impressively as he can, flexing flabby arms and stretching golden wings wide, nearly knocking over some poor passerby in the process.

Dain grins at Xiuhcoatl, watching the coin bounce and land perfectly in the mug, "That's it! Beginners luck, I'm sure, but YOU get to pick who drinks a mug, and then go again.. You go until you miss!" he explains.

Xiuhcoatl lets a slow, toothy grin, start on his lips. Not necessarilly of genuine fun, but amusement of the prospects. "I will poison you first. You seem the stongest. I will cull the herd after you fall." He clearly doesn't have any villainous intent, but speaks plainly.

Xiuhcoatl gets another coin and aims carefully.

Dain nods and lifts his mug, swallowing rapidly as he drains the tankard down and sets the empty aside before grabbing another mug.

Xiuhcoatl sneers as the coin careens off the table into the crowd. His talons dig a little into the wood, but he silently steps aside. His tail lashes to the left.

"I'll paly," says Sandy, and with that, she takes aim and tries to do so.

IT misses.

Narrowly. It still misses, though. She elbows Myrana and blames her. "You distracted me!"

Sandy is also /distinctly/ pretending Jibbom isn't here.

Myrana bounces the coin an instant before Sandy elbows her, and makes a dismayed squeak as it goes sailing off to brain a fairy probably.

Dain grins, "It isn't as easy as it looks," he points out as he pulls out his own copper and tries his own luck, the copper says over the mug and lands rolling loudly on the other side.

Xiuhcoatl looks visibly better as the others have as much trouble. He tilts his head back some, looking down his snout, studying. He may not have realized it, but another of his coins is ready for his next turn.

Xiuhcoatl steps up, coin in hand, carefully aims, throws, and the coin lands on the wooden table, only sliding a couple of inches to a full stop, tauntingly. He glowers at it, dissapointed with its performance.

Jibbom swaggers in, making a beeline for the drinkers. His path brings him right by Godwyn, who he greets with a chipper smile. "Ah, hello there, kitty cat! Feeling better?"

Sophia returns from, well... even high ranking priestesses need to seek relief during a beerfest, and looks at the game taking place, shaking her head in amusement as she settles in to watch, getting another stout from the casks.

Godwyn chuckles and stands, making her way over to the game table. Her food's already here, it can wait a bit.

Godwyn makes her way over and peers over Myrana's left shoulder. "Well this looks like fun... what are you all playing?"

Sandy misses /horribly/ this time. She tries, but it just...goes sailing over a nd bounces off Sophia.

Xiuhcoatl turns his head sharply to Godwyn, head back a bit. "We are poisoning eachother to see who is left standing." He flicks his head towards the party taking turns. "You bounce coin off the table to land in..." he searches for the word. "Beer."

Sophia blinks as the coin doinks off her forehead, then watches it ricochet right into her stout with a splash. "Oh, well, I guess that means you have to drink this, Sandy?"

Dain looks up at Godwyn and smiles, "Coinage, You bounce the coin into the mug and then point to the person who must drink the mug.. It's trickier than you'd think!" he says smiling, it's been a while since he's played good ol' coinage

Godwyn rolls her shoulders and takes her coat off, hanging it on one of the chairs. "Well then, I never knew a game I didn't try to fail miserably at. Count me in."

Myrana jumps a little but then she pats Godwyn's shoulder and drunkenly takes aim. "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>" Then she bounces the coin, wobbling on her feet, and SPLISH! It goes in the cup. Myrana lights up and points at Sandy with a triumphant HAH!!!

Xiuhcoatl narrows his eyes to look between the participants, piecing together their strategies and getting more and more confused.

Godwyn gives a nod and takes one of the coppers. Shouldn't be too hard, right? She takes aim...

Xiuhcoatl glances around the area, attention wavering slightly from the game to scan the crowd. His head snaps back to the game.

...and Godwyn misses, the coin bouncing off the table and right straight off the edge, sailing over one of the cups. "Well shoot... See?" She scratches the back of her head. "But hey, it'd be great if I landed one!"

Dain bounces a coin and it sinks, after which he immediately points at Xiu, "That's one for you!" he tries again and this one sales wide.

Xiuhcoatl looks at the dwarf with a casual scowl and snatches a mug up, unwavering in his gaze and downs it. His tongue lashes out afterwards. "And this is a favored drink amongst you people?" he says to no one in particular.

Xiuhcoatl steps up and tosses another coin, missing. This time he is less frustrated by the outcome, shoulders and arms relaxing a bit, not nearly so tense.

Myrana says "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>"

Evenutally, Sandy DOES drink her ale. She can hold her liquor, for now. She's tipsy, but she can definitely hold her liquor for an elf. For the moment.

She grumbles at Myrana, then reches over an /ruff;es her hair/.

"It's so cute when you speak elven," she tells her, brightly.

Myrana says, "Auuughhh!!"

Xiuhcoatl nods, his arms folded across his chest as his tail swings behind him casually. He speaks over to Dain, but doesn't let his eyes waver from the table. "Is this a common contest of endurance? Will I see this trial again soon?"

Sophia snickers, "Probably not for another year, at least. Though it isn't something you have to do, it's all in fun." She got a different glass of stout, drinking from the mug as she watches Myrana and Sandy, laughing into her mug.

Xiuhcoatl looks to Sophia like he was called a name, head jerking back somewhat. "How do you, then, prove to eachother who is the strongest?"

Myrana sticks her tongue out the side of her mouth in concentration and thrusts her arm upwards and backwards witht he coin clenched between thumb and forefinger--!!

--and suddenly looks up at the man whose nose she just tried to shove a copper up into.

"<something you don't understand in sildanyari>" she squeaks. And then gasps. "<something you don't understand in sildanyari>" She has lost the coin, but that man will probably sneeze it out later, right?

Xiuhcoatl straightens up a bit at the mishap, letting a slight bemused hiss of a chuckle pass his lips.

Dain breaks out laughing at the man who gets his nose stuffed! With any luck the man is too drunk to notice.

Godywn snorts as Myrana shoves a coin up someone's nose! Bit too much momentum there. She picks up another coin and bounces it... and groans as it barely misses the cup she aims at! "Well at least that one was closer."

The doors to the pub slam open and a squat, armored figured appears in the doorway. She sings "Horrah! And up she rises! Horrah! And up she rises! Horrah! And up she rises! Early in the morning! What shall we do with a drunken sailor? What shall we do with a drunken sailor? What shall we do with a drunken sailor? Early in the morning. Put him in the long-boat and make him bail her. Early in the morning. What shall we do with a drunken soldier? Early in the morning. Put him in the guardroom till he gets sober. Early in the morning." What she lacks in talent, she makes up for with volume and enthusiasm! Marching in with a large jug of rum, she looks around to see what is going on.

Dain sits at a table surrounded by big people, laughing. As Godwyn takes a turn, he tries himeself and the coin sails wide. It really is a tricky game.

The one night that Cesran does not come to the Fernwood pub with his staff is of course the night that a coin is trying to be forcibly inserted into his nose. He jerks his head back and lets out a manly grunt of pain as the coin is stuffed up his nose. "Arg! What are you doing?!" He jumps up and falls back holding his nose as there is some blood coming out. He trips and falls on his back and lands hard. There is a whoosh as the air goes out of his lungs and he's left gasping for air as he holds his face and tears trickle down his face from the pain.

Xiuhcoatl steps up carefully, tongue snaking out quickly and flings the coin forward and watches as it hits the side of the mug. He gently punches the table and slides over. He looks like he might be ready to say something, thinks again, and quietly sulks. His eyes move over the downed individual.

"Beer beer beer, tiddly beer beer beer," is sung out over the crowd as the revelry continues. <khazdul>

Another try, another miss! Snady then takes another long drink. She looks at MYrana, balefully. "You're a JINX," she tells her.

Myrana goes over and tries to help Cesran to his feet. On her way she spies the coin over there somewhere. Fortunately she has not nasally lobotomized (successfully) anyone today. "Aaaaa! Sorry! Sorry!" She says. "Are you dead?"

Godwyn squints at one of the mugs, as if it were her mortal enemy. She weighs the copper a few times in her right hand, bounces... and kersplish! Godwyn's grin is a mile wide as she picks up another. It... misses. She doesn't care. "Yes!" She points toward Dain. "Bottoms up."

Daromu starts up a rousing song with the other dwarves "Gold gold gold... Gold gold gold... Gold gold gold..." She slaps another dwarf on the back as they sway to their ancestrial song. <khazdul>

Xiuhcoatl snaps his head back to the game after the distraction of the fiasco. "Ha. Another has taken arms against you. You are outnumbered. Submit." he narrows his eyes to Dain a bit, not intent, but not expecting a reply either.

Xiuhcoatl flings the coin forward, not expecting anything and stands in surprise, a bit of amusement, and then back to sour when it looks like he's been caught. "Refill your mug when it is finished." he instructs Dain.

Dain takes his time, lining up the shot.. Again he bounces the coin but it sales away, he looks over at Daru and joins in the song himself.

Dain almost forgot.. he quickly grabs his mug and drains it, lifting it in salute to Godwyn

Cesran accepts the help from Myrana as she helps him back up, "Ah my nose." He winces as he feels the coin, "You shoved a bloody coin up my nose." He takes a deep breath through his mouth and gripping the bloody coin he grits his teeth and gives it a yank. The coin comes out and flies out of Cesran's hand and hits the table before it flips up onto a cup where it lands and wobbles on the edge before it plunks in.

Sandy throws a coin at Myrana's back. That is all.

Cesran is able to keep standing as he leans against the table with one hand as the other pinches his nose to stop the bleeding.

Myrana politely and rather mortified, hands Cesran a hankerchief from the pocket of her skirts.

Myrana also goes "Ow! Hey!" And gives Sandy a look. VENDETTA!

Sandy throws another coin at Myrana now that she's turned. She's snickering like an idiiot. A drunk idiot.

Myrana gets bopped in the face with a copper.

Cesran nods to Myrana as his anger is cooling quickly. "Thank you. I am sorry for my outburst." He says in a nasal voice as he pinches his nose closed and he goes back to his seat to nurse his drink, a famous Green Hornet.

Dain laughs, "You tall folks.. You haven't even BEGUN to drink..." he says as he downs his own mug and swaps out for a full one.

Xiuhcoatl nods, feeling confident he has the strategies of the players down. His eyes dart between the participants. He points to Sandy, a little sly smile crossing his snout. "See? this one has lost." he nods, thinking he understands everything finally.

Myrana is still properly mortified, but at least she's been shocked (relatively) sober and out of drunkenly speaking elven. "I'm going to make you a huge sandwich," she promises, anxiously (and okay, still pretty drunk) drunkenly patting his shoulders and looking almost teary-eyed with the human kindness of forgiveness and stuff. "I'mma.... I'mma going to beat Sandy /for you/, Cesran." And she turns around, wobbles with a click of heels, and takes another copper from her pocket.

Cesran looks to Myrana, "It's all right please have a seat, I know it was an accident, there is nothing to feel bad about. Accidents happen." He says trying to reassure her. "I'm Cesran by the way I think we might have met before at the Ox-strength tavern."

Dain nods to Xiu, "Yes, I think they've quit playing..." he notes and nods to Godwyn, "I think it's your turn now..."

Godwyn gives a nod and withdraws another copper. She takes aim at an unoccupied mug and bounces...

Xiuhcoatl humphs, tightening his arms across his chest proudly. "It narrows the list of opponents."

...only for it to fall just short this time! She gives the table a light tap with her right fist. "Too close! But whatever. This is actually fun!" She turns toward Myrana and grins. "You seem pretty into it..."

Dain pounds his coin violently on the table. It bounces up.. and down.. it doesn't look like it moved even an inch foward.. Dain then grumbles, "Clearly not drunk enough yet..." downing another mug and swapping out for a full one.

Xiuhcoatl misses the same. He looks between Dain, a full mug and his statement. Defiantly, he picks up another one and downs it quickly. "You did not mention that more would improve your aim." he narrows his eyes accusingly at Dain. "Cunning of you..."

Cesran isn't one to try to dampen the festivities as his nose thankfully stops bleeding and he gently dabs it. It's red and looks sore, but nothing broken. He picks up his glass and he moves to find a seat at the table that the others are playing at.

This time, Godwyn gets a bit too excited... and bounces the coin too hard. It flies up in the air... and pings off of Xiuhcoatl's head. "Um... oops." She takes a step away from the table. "Right, sorry. Sorry."

Xiuhcoatl glares at Godwyn as the coin slides languidly down his snout and off the edge, near his eye, like a round brownish tear. "You caused no harm." he grumbles softly.

Dain harumphs, "We MAY have to start instituting penalty drinks... If you start pelting your fellow players..." he looks meaningfully at Myrana, Sandy, and now Godwyn, "You have to down THREE mugs!!!" he warns.

Ping, cling thunk... Nope that shot didn't make it in either...

Xiuhcoatl aims, throws, sploosh. He ponders a minute.

Xiuhcoatl shakes his head quickly, shrugging off an idea and nods to Dain, taking aim again.

Now that its clear Cesran is going to be okay, Myrana has understandably lost track of the game, and makes her exit.

Xiuhcoatl throws again and the coin careens off the edge of the table.

Cesran smiles at the others as he spins a copper around on the table. "Let me show you guys a trick I picked up at the Academy of Sages." He picks up the coin and carefully stacks some coins in the middle of the drinks, "Now you have to do it just right." He says as he hits the top of the stack with his coin and causes the stack of coins to bounce up and into the surrounding mugs, "Drink up everyone!" He tries to flip another coin into the mug, but it deflects off.

Xiuhcoatl is clearly showing signs of being affected. His posture is the same, and his frame still straight, but his eyes blink, and he occasionally tries to refocus. His speach is more thoughtful, and comes out slower and deliberate. He seems resigned to it and takes a long, but slower drink.

Godwyn shrugs and lifts a mug, pulling the coin out of it before taking it down in five seconds. She wipes any excess off with her right hand, then flips the coin... and bounces it.

Miss. Ah, well. It was close enough!

She takes time out to check her pocket watch... and sighs. "It appears I'm due, everyone. Thank you!" With that and a wave, she makes her exit.

Dain downs one drink due to Xiuhcoatl, then his eyes go wide as Cesran's little trick causes all the coins to jump in the mug.. And he quickly downs another mug. As Godwyn's coin goes flying, he REALLY tries to concentrate, but again the coin just won't go in..

Xiuhcoatl points to the mug, looking to Dain. "This..." he looks at it again. "Is aweful." He holds up a taloned finger indicating a pause. Checking it one more time. "But I can...see why...you like it."

Sandy must be getting pretty drunk. So much for elven grace. She hasn't made a SINGLE shot. She keeps misrring narrowly. There' s a lot of curses. Curses that would mak even a sailor blush, honstly. Who knew elves could cuss like this? Then she thorws another coin at Myrana.

Dain grins at Xiu. He sees Sandy take another shot then nods at Xiu, "I think it's your turn again."

Xiuhcoatl looks at his coin and focuses down the table. Squinting a bit, he throws, and makes it. "I will beat you this day..." he says slowly, a little slurred.

Xiuhcoatl makes another.

Xiuhcoatl throws the third way too far. "That is two." he holds the fingers up in case he's not understood, looking to Dain.

Dain has been drinking a bit.. He downs one alright.. but as he downs the other, he gets a very unpleasant look on his face.. and turning shuffles off his stool to an area where others of his ilk are.. well.. communicating with their friend RALPH

Xiuhcoatl looks to Dain. "You have been bested! I..."

Xiuhcoatl glances over to Cesran. "He will be alright? How long does this poison last?" His head quirks to the side a bit.

Cesran hmms, "Depends if he drinks a lot of water before bed he should be okay within a day, if not, maybe 2 or 3." He offers as he restacks the coins, "Wanna see that trick again?" He slams the coin down on it and once more the coins all bounce into the surrounding mugs." He chuckles as he tosses the coin he first tossed and misses again.

Xiuhcoatl slams down a drink, though the regret is nearly immediate. He narrows his gaze steadilly at Cesran. "You...you....are..." he swallows hard. "next..." He picks up a coin.

Xiuhcoatl makes it in by blind luck, his skills severely impaired. He overdramatically points to Cesran, coming off comically in this sort of state.

Xiuhcoatl misses with another.

Cesran takes a drink and as he drinks he tosses a coin. It falls short and bounces across the table.

Daromu goes over to comfort Dain and lets him take a swig of rum to wash the taste out of his mouth...

Xiuhcoatl looks around for other participants, and, thinking it's his turn, throws with a wide miss.

Dain takes a hard look and smell of the rum and quickly turns away from Daromu to heave up more suds and foam. He is not showing himself to be much of a dwarf here and that is sad.

Cesran puts down the mug and he takes careful aim this time as he makes the shot. He motions to Xiuhcoatl to drink up as he takes another shot and misses.

Daromu grabs Dain by the back of the neck and stands him up "You're lettin' the team down lad! Dwarf up and get something in yer belly so you can keep drinkin'!" <khazdul>

Xiuhcoatl begrudgingly downs another mug, eyes never leaving the man, though they flutter with inebriation.

Xiuhcoatl nods a lot as he drinks it, finishes slowly staggers back. "I...Imma." He holds up a taloned finger to wait. "I'm going to sit here a minute, and let you go again." He sits with a heavy thud.

Xiuhcoatl calls up loudly from his seat. "You...needa practice firs. Imma already way" he swipes his heavy arm across his body at that word. "ahead of you."

Cesran nods as he goes back to his green hornet, "You go right ahead." He says as he sips his drink and he wonders if Myrana's coin up the nose has given him some magical drinking power.

Xiuhcoatl pats Dain to see if he's still concious. He hisses intermitently, like a chuckle and looks about, completely relaxed and breakthing slowly, but heavilly. He looks to Cesran. "I yield this poisoning contest."

Daromu is holding Dain up by the back of the neck with one arm. Apparently wearing all that metal has left her impressively strong.

Xiuhcoatl lowers his head slightly. A moment later, you get the distinct impression that he's fallen asleep, nostrils flared while snoring in an odd position.

Cesran holds up his glass of green liquid, "It is strange that we imbibe mild poison recreationally to change our moods and alter the chemistry of our brains."

Dain flails weakly in Daromu's grip, apparently concerned about getting sick on his dreadlocked beard.. "No YOU don't know who YOU are!..." he mutters to himself.. or someone.. it's not clear.. he sees about 3 people where he should see.. none?

Daromu frog marches Dain over to one of the benches to sit down and then gets a bucket for future eruptions.

Dain stares into the bucket, ahh yes. the familiar bucket.. Oh the days of his youth, he knew such buckets well.. How they talked.. Always the bucket would be there.. listening.. receiving his vomit, never judging... Good ol' bucket
