When last we left our brave, noble heroes, they had scouted out the fact that the other group out here hunting the pygmy bullet had no had the success you have had an in fact had captured a regular baby Bullete wand was painting it. No doubt there is an upset momma bullete out here somewhere that you don't really necessarily want to tangle with.

Ilwa is being talked down by some of you for wanting to confront her antagonist now with mockery. While not all of you are opposed to her plan for confrontation, she /is/ able to gently come down from it with the notion that she can confront them with the 'real' baby Bullete back in town once they all return.

"Soo... I /guess/ I can do that. But it's less satisfying," she complains.

"I think we were all agreed that if we were -hired- for the confrontation, we'd do it." offers Alaryn. She looks to the others, brows raised inquisitively.

"I disagree." Offers Daed quietly, shaking his head. "Our priority in either case would be to protect her which such a confrontation would fly in the face of. Better to do things this way. Really." He motions for Ilwa to move in the proper direction, hoping to move this whole thing along.

Lifting her hands, Alaryn shrugs, "Okay then we avoid them. Got it." she looks to Ilwa and stage-whispers, "For the record, I prefer the confrontation."

"Me too," whispers at Ilwa, "We'll get them later!"

She beams at him, then adds, "I don't like what they're doing to the baby bulette, though, come to think of it. Maybe we can sneakily free it so that momma and child aren't separated forever?" She says, ignoring the fact that she is in possession of a different equally wild animal. It's somehow different.

"Are you sneaky enough to get past that many ogres to let it go?" Lollia says, frowning thoughtfully. "I mean, we could distract them. Or draw the momma down on them. "Are /any/ of you?" asks Ilwa, hopefully, glancing between you.

"If we go far enough around them, then stealth skills don't matter." offers Alaryn with a shrug, "Otherwise, I'm about as stealthy as a runaway wagon."

Daechir sighs. "I may be. But stealth is not my greatest strength. It would be wiser to stick with our original plan and free the baby; return it to its mother when we have a chance when confronting him later."

"Mmn... /fine/," she says, "As long as we agree we can release it back into the wild here. I have a PLAN. Let's go."

Ilwa is proud of this idea, it seems. Her plan.

She's gonna set off out of the woods, now, unless someone wants to stop her.

Her plan appears to be to head back to Alexandria, of course.

Ilwa knows who her opponent is and knows he'll eventually be returning with his cadre of ogres to acceptable locales just outside the city.

Either way, you do eventually make it back to the city and have a day of rest to spend how you want to before she'll call you back together again the next morning at the market.

Daechir arrives early, nodding and smiling to the people who he recognizes and whom recognize him. He offers one to Ilwa in particular, offering her a low nod of his head in respect. "Greetings again Ilwa. Is the morning treating you well?"

Back in town, Alaryn spends some time making sure that her storage area for her wagon-o-market goods is still in good shape. She also has a few deliveries of goods to make to customers. So she handles that and then goes to her wagon where she uses her portable lab to prepare magical effects for her to use the following day....

Ilwa has gathered you together here today at the market.

She nods towards a rather large-doored giant-born friendly place, there, called the Blue Swords Inn.

"They're in there. I'm going to challenge him to present his pygmy bulette. I want the rest of you to go in first, settle in, join the crowd, and act impressed until he tries to show it off. With me so far?""

"I think we can manage that much." Daechir replies, waiting for the rest of her instruction.

Lollia frowns, idly measuring herself, then measuring Ilwa. Then Daechir. "....in a giant place? I'm not sure w'ere gonna blend..." she says doubtfully. "But okay."

"Hot EVERYONE in there are giants. There are gnomes like me even!" Ilwa points at herself with her thumb and a smile. "JUst hang out and have a drink. I'm gonna come in and give him a chance to brag. I've got my own ACTUAL pygmy bulette ready to go and we'll reveal his is fake in front of the gods and everyone and we'll all have a good laugh and I'll have vengeance on these JERKS at last!"

"Works for me." suggests Alaryn as she lifts a pendant and focuses on the crystal in it. Her appearance shimmers, adjusts, and becomes something more.. bland. Her armor looks like chainmail rather than glowing blue crystal scales and such.

"Also on the bottom of giant boots.' Lollia mutters, but will head inside to find a place to get a good view of events!

The interior of the Blue Swords Inn is exactly what you'd expect. It has definite space for giants. Large chairs and large doorways and larger tankards, of course, are features of the place. It's hard to ignore this reality.

There's also, of course, a crowd of people of a variety of races, musical accompaniment, and a rather large collection of act ual ogres getting the stink eye where they surround a rather well to do looking gnome.

Make that 'fabulously wealthy looking' given the gold chains and the pendants and ring and the ridiculously groomed, lengthy beard.

That's got to be 'the jerk'.

Daechir sits in a corner nursing a drink that he ordered and apparently awaiting food. He watches the 'fabulously wealthy' individual whom is clearly who they've come to make a fool of. Subtly of course.
