      Round Two - Init 18.
      It is now Heart's turn! KA is next!

Things are suddenly very busy in the overgrown root cellar. The gnome yammers something gnative in an unpleasantly-high pitched voice and steps around the rope tangled on the floor. He sucks in rote-memorized draconic and stretches out a limb to slap Nemori. The air tingles and the mul'niessa's chainmail gets fantastically warm before a jolt convulses through her frame.

A tingle lingers in the wake of the attack and the elven priestess' hair stands frizzly.

"So. Many. Options," rattles the jotuni corpse with some difficulty. The percussive rumble of her sucking in a breath is like the workings of a broken bellows and it whistles through the tangled bones crawling out and around her chest.

Finally, her glowing eyes settle on Kerry-Anne and she smirks with half-missing lips. The tree-trunk club slams low and right into her shield. There's enough force that the brawler coughs and stumbles to one side but she doesn't drop her weapons.

<OOC> Jinks says, "Alright. Something tiny skitters across the floor but nobody can spot it the little blur between the vines. It seems to jump onto the inert corpse in the corner and it rises as a skeleton, shedding off its skin."


Shaking after being hit by the massive trunk of a weapon, feathers make for soft pillows but there's only so much a single layer can do, Jay struggles to get his footing and tightens his grip on his estoc.

He thrusts, poking at the ruined size of the zombie's face. A feint! One that it doesn't fall for.

"Ah... this one looks familiar, somehow. Anyone remember a jotun?" Integrity's shakes haven't left him.

There's something else in the room. Something tiny-- smaller than the gnome sorcerer's head-- that's made of meat and metal. It moves in the half-shadows between, over, and beneath the tangled vines with an unsettling rapidity.

It moves beneath the slumped corpse beneath the hole in the cellar ceiling. There's the sound of meat tearing and bones popping. It's unsettling. The corpse issues a death rattle and the meat bubbles, sloughing away into a puddle beneath a red-slimed skeleton that readies to rise!

Revealed, the little goblin is feeling surrounded and very threatened. Especially when Nemori descends to the bottom of the stairs. His rope is still writhing but far out of reach.

Git shrinks into a small, small ball, flinching away from the rising corpse. His murmurs in dark, eldritch tones, a gloomy purple halo surrounding his hands, then his mouth and the undead's ears. "Go there!" He points at a space near the throbbing heart, and adds, "let me by!"

He waves at Kerry Anne, and Nemori, who might be watching him, "Don't attack it, I've got it under control."

As the skeleton rises, Kerry-Anne growls out a "No!" as is her way while she recovers from the blow from the decomposing Jotun. Rather than go toe to toe with the large monster, however, her concern for Git has her attacking the smaller skeleton.. her swinging shield arm almost knocks its skull off.

Nemori has all but forgotten about the Jotun as she staggers back from the gnome's electrical shock. "That... kind of touching is not okay!" she snarls, coin gripped tightly in her hand as she channels her patron's healing power through the basement room. Then she weaves another spell, summoning a floating rapier to stab at her assailant while the summoned dancer continues to stab at the larger zombie. And then Nemori gets Bad Touched again.

She is not going to be in a good mood.

The gnome continues to yap at the jotuni zombie in Gnomish, hugging the wall and glaring balefully at Nemori around the corner. He inhales, growling out more clipped draconic and laying on his electrified grasp once more. This charge is much more severe, causing the mul'niessa to jerk and convulse in place before he releases and returns to a defensive stance.

The brute shakes her head and snorts, the sound echoing from her hollow chest. She smirks down the egalrin and eldanar before landing another brutal blow on the former. She seems to be less than worried about her place trapped in this corner.

"Dead. Soon." She gasps and rattles.

      It is now Heart's turn! KA is next!


"I'll protect you!" Jay caws valiantly, spreading his wings and making himself a bigger target. No chicken is he. The encouraging words are meant for someone... Kerry-Anne maybe? Git? Not Nemori. She doesn't need his protection. She'd get insulted. An insulted Nemori is... well, about the same as regular Nemori, still dangerous.

The bluejay's display works as intended, drawing the Juju Jotun's attention. It works too well, as he's thwumped by the log again and slammed into the wall.

"I'm still dangerous!" He attempts another feint at its face. This doesn't trick it at all. "You're already dead! You just don't know it."

The little necromancer only notices the barest hint of motion through the shadowed hole above him and then a black geyser of cold and palpable miseries drenches the whole room. Jay and Nemori both manage to push away the crushing demoralizations but Git flinches and whines, Kerry-Anne issues a choked sob.

The despair settles on the goblin like a wet, leather blanket. Heavy, all encompassing, pulling him down to a place of past trauma. Alone in a cell, it's like this dank basement. Ratto, taken, and gone. A twisted punishment for a necromancer, to make his familiar dead. Not undead. Just dead.

"Kerry Anne... we... we..." He sidesteps towards the stairs, nervously ordering, "Get out of the way."

His fingers curl in a cantrip, a necessary one in his profession, intended to disrupt undead. A grey beam lances out of his finger.

The same time he is stabbed unexpectedly by the spear. The shot completely misses. "We can't win! We have to get out of here!"

He's panicking.

Kerry-Anne literally staggers under the weight of the spell, memories of her failures and fears fighting for prominence. She grits her teeth, however, when she looks at Git, seeing him begin to panic.. and manages to draw strength from that as she stabs at the overlarge zombie. "Get out of here, Git!" she yells, commands, pleads

Nemori doesn't react immediately. Still recovering from the last brutal shock, it's only thanks to her elf heritage that she manages to shrug off the assault upon her emotions. As her senses return, she hears Git's panicked cry, Kerry-Anne's despairing yell... "Get a hold of yourselves and stand your ground!" she manages to snap out as she summons another blade construct and once more heals the small group.
