The town guardsman standing before you is a tall man with pale hair and a uniform that is clearly second-hand but well cared for in spite of that. He scrubs a hand over his short military-cut hair and looks at you. "So we've had reports of this man accosting people in alleyways. He hasn't done anything yet that we know of, but he's making people... uncomfortable."

The green haired druid leans on her staff and considers the guardsman with her matching eyes. "Accosting... how?" Arching a brow and wrinkling her nose in subtle confusion. "Could you also describe the individual so we might find him?" Drawing her hair behind her pointed ear and crossing her legs beneath her vestments.

Walking her way up, really late, Amythyst stretches a bit as she looks to the guard....and everyone else. "What happened?" She says as she looks to the Sylvanori. "I have to agree with the elf...."

"...Finding such a man might be difficult for one of my- particular talents," Itzpa suggests, her voice a soft hiss that tickles at the back of the mind, hinting at a primal danger. She watches the guardsman and takes a deep breath. "But this one will do what she can. Accosting people, but not having done anything serious. So he is... Stopping them to talk loudly and uncomfortably?"

The guard seems a little uncomfortable with the questions, but keen to be helpful. "Well he's been described as a tall man with pale skin and bright green eyes. It's also been noted that he has a thick Eldanor accent. As for how," he scrubs a hand through his hair again. "It seems he's been skulking about in places he doesn't belong, and there have been some reports of him... leering and he's grabbed a few people."

<OOC> Razen says, "You guys can roll a sense motive on this guy."

Taleth looks over the guard for a long moment and chews on her bottom lip. For a moment she glances back over her shoulder at her companions and breathes out an audible sigh. "I understand. We will find this man and have a talk for you. Before we go, however... Could we perhaps speak to your superior? We have some questions for him regarding the situation." Of course, the druid is seemingly catching on that the guard is hiding something - perhaps his boss wouldn't want to find out.

The guard's eyes widen and he manages to look incredibly embarrassed. "I would rather... Well you see the thing is that he doesn't think there's anything to look into. But there's something about the reports that really bothers me." He looks at everyone very intently. "Please look into it." It's hard to say no with him looking so intensely hopeful.

Amythyst says, "What about the reports bothers you?""

"This one will be looking," IItzpapalotl replies quietly, taking a deep breath as she does. The Sith'Makar draws to her full height of two full meters and a hair, red scales gleaming faintly. "Yes. What is your concern and then where should this one begin to be looking?"

It seems the others are asking the questions that Taleth is wondering - which means the Sylvanori remains quiet. Taking her weight off her staff, she steps back slowly and sweeps back another feather in her hair. "You have our discretion - but we need the full story here, sir." Offering in earnest, "Would you mind?"

There's a momentary pause and then he frowns. "It's that the reports don't come from anyone that's actually come into contact with the man in question. People who see him at a distance report him, but in the instances where he's grabbed someone it's someone else that's noticed him doing it that reports it." He looks up from his thoughts. "So what if there are more people that aren't reporting things? People who weren't seen by other people?"

Amythyst says, "The ones he's actually grabbed aren't reporting him. That's definitely unusual. Like the ones that were grabbed are afraid of him returning......."

"Are we certain those people that are grabbed haven't vanished?" Taleth asks.

@emit "We haven't gotten any corresponding missing person's reports." He seems pleased that they're asking questions, and perhaps just that they're taking him seriously. "I can't say for certain as no one has come forward as having come into contact with him directly.

"We haven't gotten any corresponding missing person's reports." He seems pleased that they're asking questions, and perhaps just that they're taking him seriously. "I can't say for certain as no one has come forward as having come into contact with him directly. I do have a list of people who made reports." He offers a slip of paper with a short list of names. "I just included the ones who reported grabbings, and that weren't anonymous."

The list is short. Consisting of only three names. One Mr. Wyld, on Mr. Morgan, and one Ms. Dinmorin.

Taleth clicks her tongue against the roof of her mouth and nods before taking the list. "That's helpful, thanks." Pausing, "One more question - where was he seen last? Is there a specific area of the city that these reports come from?"

"Mr. Morgan seems promising. This one thought that was a girl's name." Of how Itzpa came to this conclusion she gives no sign.

Amythyst says, "it's unisex, actually." She says to Itz. "And yeah...where was he seen last?"" This question seems to give him pause. "The reports seem to be all over the place actually, though none are near the docks. The latest was in the housing district, up by where the more wealthy people live. That was Mr. Morgan."

Amythyst says, "Ah...the nobility district. All righty. Lets start th......" She then blinks. "None are near the docks, huh? Hmmmmm...." She then chuckles. "Let’s head to the nobility district first....""

"Off to see Mr. Morgan then?" Taleth looks to the others and nods affirmatively.

Itzpapalotl shrugs. Her scales are slowly darkening from a fiery red toward a deep crimson.

With the decision made, it's not a long trip up to the noble district where the more wealthy of the cities inhabitants live. The address given leads into one of the finer areas, and a butler escorts you into a waiting room to await the pleasure of 'Master Morgan'. The pleasure of which takes longer than the whole walk. Finally he arrives, dressed in resplendent clothing and finely coiffed. He is a short man with fiery red hair and green eyes. "What can I do for you?" He has the bearing of someone who is entertaining those lesser than themselves.

Yeah...Amythyst doesn't like this little twerp already. "We understand that someone noticed that you were accosted and grabbed by a certain stranger? So, we're just wonder if you can give us a description....."

Taleth is a wild elf that is wearing mostly furs, hide and is adorned with a pair of antlers that twist up from her head. She is wildly out of place in the noble district. She's constantly looking around with a wrinkled nose and curious emerald eyes - her quiver of arrows rattling about as she steps about impatiently. "Yes - we are under employ of the local authorities." Offering softly but with enough force to note to Mr. Morgan that he isn't entertaining shit.

Itzpapalotl is a massive two plus meter tall burnished red scaled gigantic bipedal lizard dressed in salvaged powered armour. If she fit in les she'd be escorted out by the guards. as it is she is standing as far back as she can manage while being 'with' the group and remaining silent.

If anything the man looks down on them further, his lip curling a little as if he can't help it. "My /wife/ you mean. My wife was accosted by that... brute in an alleyway behind a restaurant. I gave his description to the authorities... Or did they not give it to you?"

Amythyst says, "So....why didn't your wife report it? And....Why don't you give us the description again." "Oh they did." Taleth offers, "But this is a big city - and if we are going to find the individual, we are going to have to resort to a full investigation to find him." Motioning with a flick of her pale, lithe hand, "Do you know why this man would accost your wife? And how was she accosted?"

Itzpa seems content to let the others speak. She stands perfectly still, not even blinking. A lizardy statue of artificer's might.

"My wife did not have to report it - I did. And I do not repeat myself miss. I have no idea why this man would even consider grabbing my wife the way he did. I would not have believed it possible had I not come out of the restaurant and seen him pull her into the alley myself. I followed him and found him... He was holding her arm and gazing into her eyes in a most unseemly manner. I called out for the guard and he vanished while my back was turned."

"Is your wife here? May we speak to her? Did she say what this man might have said to her?" Taleth picks up a priceless vase and begins inspecting it curiously, "We will be honest - this is not the first report of this happening and in all situations, reports were made not by the victim."

Itzpa stays so still a bird decides she might be a statue. The Sith snaps her jaws at it and it flies away in a whirl of feathers. Then she goes back to being a statue.

Amythyst stays off to the side. She's definitely fighting the urge to zap this jerk.

The man stares at Taleth intently with disapproval. "She is here, but I will not abide you questioning her; she has not been feeling well. Besides, he didn't say anything. Why would he?" He seems utterly offended.

Amythyst says, "You heard that. It sounds like he doesn't want our help. I guess we can go and find one of the other witnesses.....""

"Well perhaps he cast a spell on her that has made her ill? Has that thought crossed your mind? Or are you more concerned about looking down that massive nose at us - when we are just trying to help you?" She pauses and begins approaching him after placing down the vase, "Please don't waste our time and we won't waste yours."

The still lizard might well have been disregarded. this was a mistake. She lunges abruptly, snarling deep in her throat as violent yellow eyes latch onto those of the wealthy man. She dwarfs him more than three times over, not counting all the metal and artifice which covers her. Sharp teeth are on display, as well as gleaming claws.

"You can make such decisions for yourselves but it is not for you to be making decisions that harm innocents. This one thinks that if you wish to partake of a society you should be cooperating in its protection. Or are you here to disrupt and be troublesome?" Itzpa's words are spoken in a harsh hiss, with lilting Ss but she's surprisingly erudite for a gigantic lizard. If she wasn't so huge it might be taken for a well-reasoned reply.

It seems that he's wise enough to worry about his own physical welfare because he backs down and lifts his hand defensively. "O-okay. I'll take you to her..." Shaken he leads you further into his house, upstairs to a large bedroom which is decadently decorated and to a woman who is laying on the bed. She is lovely and younger than him by at least a decade, but in spite of her loveliness she looks pale and wan. She also looks as though she is not properly taking care of herself. "She hardly moves from the bed at all."

Taleth falls silent when the large reptilian woman begins to speak; her emerald eyes widening for a moment as she speaks and moving to follow when the man finally agrees to take them to his wife. She pauses beside Itzpapalotl and leans up to whisper, "Very impressive." Giving her the thumbs up before following. Upon the door being opened, Taleth steps in and slowly approaches the bed, "Hello - My name is Taleth Raloren, may we help you? We have some questions we were hoping you could help with."

Taleth's thumbs up earns her a toothy smile. It might be mistaken for the threat of being eaten; it's hard to tell with lizards. "I think... Something might be wrong." Itzpa peers at the woman intently for a moment. "She does not seem to move normally," the lizard adds after a moment. She twists her head approximately forty-five degrees to the left and finally blinks, just once.

Itzpapalotl growls softly to herself, squinting at the woman. "She does see mto be Dominated. I have not the tools with me to interferew ith this sort of spell." The lizard shakes her head just once. "I could be building a device for breaking objects but magic..." A pause. "We need to find the man who assaulted her to save her from herself."

"It's beyond my magic." Taleth offers somewhat defeated whilst looking the woman over to see if there is anything on her that might be acting as a catalyst. "This gets us no closer to finding this man. Perhaps I will do a fly over the city to see if I can spot him." Glancing to Morgan, "That is the plan. Until then, I suggest you keep her hydrated and feed her food that she does not have to chew. The enchantment will need to be broken for her to get better."

Amythyst takes a deep breath and stares at 'Mister Morgan'. "Ooookay. Why don't you tell us the reason why you're glad to see us go then. Are you worried about your wife, or are you that worried about having 'commoners' in your house?"

Itzpa pauses for a second to simply watch Morgan silently. She's a rather muted red now.

He only looks more irritated now. "I'm glad to see you out the door rather than trying to provoke answers out of my sick wife." He glares at Amythyst and then the sith-makar.

"Well, I'm done here." Taleth offers after once more once over of the wife. She looks to her companions and nods, "We're going to have to search for this man the old fashioned way, I think." Frowning somewhat and looking to Mr. Morgan, "We will see what we can do to return your wife to you. You may wish to take her to a priest and have them dispel this enchantment in the meanwhile. It seems like you could afford a donation to one of the many temples."

Amythyst takes a breath as she looks the woman over again. "She's....been poisoned. That explains a few things." She then looks to Mister Morgan. "Well....We should be away then. "Talk to the next witness...." She sounds way too casual about this now.....

Itzpa continues to watch, taking a deep breath as she does. "The temple of Serriel, perhaps. There are others. We should take her now. We would be happy to escort your wife there..." Her eyes fous on Morgan now. "If you would have trouble bringing her to the priesthood for treatment."

Morgan glances between them. "I can take her myself. Or send my butler Jeeves to go and fetch one. That will do. You should go find the one who accosted her and these other people right?"

Amythyst says, "You may be better off taking her to the Temple of Althea. Or the Soldier's Defense. They take care of something like this all the time." She then shrugs. "Your choice though. next witness we should go."

"Any of the above is being places whee I have received such aid," Itzpa replies unflappably. :And... Yes. The next witness."The Sith-Makar returns to standing impassively nearby without so much as a muscle twitch to give her away.

He's happy to lead them to the front door and out, agreeing to take his wife somewhere for treatment. It's getting to be rather dark outside now…

After a long search the address to Dinmorin quickly leads to nowhere. The address simply doesn't exist in the city. Thus they are left with only one name on their list. Wyld. They're lucky to be by the shops and catch the elf just as he is coming out. He's a bit older for an elf, and he's closing up a tailor's shop. "Oh! Hello. I just closed up, can you come by tomorrow?"

"Actually..." Itzpa looks over toward Amythyst and pauses, her slightly grating voice halting as she considers how to speak. "We've come on behalf of the City Watch?" The lizard begins.

Amythyst says, "About the person that accosted and grabbed someone close to you?" She says...trying to be a little more diplomatic this time."

"Not close to me, but yes I saw a dark-haired man with green eyes grab a young man off the street. I heard him say something to him - though not exactly what - and by the time I caught up to him he was gone. He was just laying on the ground. I helped him to his feet and told the guard about it later. Have they found him? I'm sure I could identify him if I saw him again."

Amythyst says, "Do you remember what words he said?"

The elf shakes his head. "Red maybe? Something about red? He was wearing a red tunic. The young man that I helped that is. The man with dark hair that accosted him was wearing all black. A very nice outfit in fact."

"They haven't found him. We are trying to find him now," Itzpa replies in that raspy voice of hers. "This one is hoping you will help us identify him when his brought in." She dips her head slightly. "Can you tell us anything else about what happened...? Do you know where the victim might be?"

"I wish I knew more. I have not seen the young man who was attacked before or since, so I just don't know who he is. And I haven't seen the man in black either." The elf shudders. "He gave me such a bad feeling though. Those eyes of his. You don't forget seeing something like that. Sorry that I can't be of more help."

Just as the elf finishes explaining he looks toward the alley that is his way home and stiffens. Then with surprise on his face he points toward it. "There he is! That's him!" Even as you look you can see the man he's talking about. Tall, so thin that it makes him look taller than his six feet and three inches of height. He has short black hair and green eyes that seem to glow in the dim lighting. His head and hands almost for a moment seem to hover in midair before the dark clothing that is wrapped around him becomes visible. He is remarkably unremarkable in appearance save those cat-like green eyes. They are like a lure. Drawing. They seem to weigh everyone in the alley in the space of a moment and then his lips spread from a soft smile to a grin.

As the man darts past, Amythyst takes a deep breath and looks like she's screaming at the top of her lungs. Oddly, it's a spell, and she IS screaming at the top of her lungs, but only the creepy guy can hear it. He gets the full brunt of the attack too....

With the strange man dazed and bleeding from the ears from Amythyst's attack the shopkeeper quickly bolts himself back into his shop. It's clear he's terrified of the green-eyed man who in spite of being clearly out of sorts grins at Amythyst as if the pain is nothing to him…

Amythyst, confident because her spell worked before, uses the same spell again, to make the thin unable to move. "Don't worry about grabbing him. Just hit him. If we're lucky, knocking him out will break the spells."

This time the man shakes his head violently, digging his own fingers into his skull, and turning his eyes skyward as he lets loose an odd almost grinding noise. When his head tilts down again there is blood dripping down his neck and his green eyes are burning holes into Amythyst.

The Sith-Makar tears into him with both claws, savagely shredding flesh as she literally leaps onto her foe. She grips with both of her hind feet and tears, snarling as she attacks.... Right to the point the man explode sinto mist and Itzpapalotl topples to the ground. She lands easily on all fours, as if it were natural four her, and glares as the mist dissipates. Rather than speak the lizard continues to hiss.

Amythyst manages to duck just as the slenderman dives for her. "You want people like me? You're gonna get what you wish for!" And ZAP.....the slenderman is burned by the searing beam of fire Amythyst casts it's way.....and it poofs into mist. "That's......interesting...."

Rather than dissipating into nothing as mists are meant to, this one floats straight up into the sky, and then off quietly over the buildings into the dark. It seems... almost sentient this which is all that remains of the creepy man who should be by all rights lying before them.

"Vampires taste terrible," Itzpa replies, slowly rising back to a full standing position. She huffs a heavy breath and then slowly exhales. "We should be visiting the temple now. This one does not think she is prepared for vampires."

Amythyst says, "I don't think I'm prepared for vampire either. Yeah. lets head for the temples, especially the Temple of Vardama. They'll want to know there's something undead in the city....""

Itzpa clacks her jaw once and then twists her head forty-five degrees to the left. She takes a deep breath. Slowly. "Then we should walk." She shouts loudly then, "It is being safe! You need not cower for now. They will not return, this one thinks." And then she walks.
