  • Summary: Cryosanthia is dreaming on her nest, of being a dragon and being visited by another. Lily awakens her, as she's turned quite cold. Aryia arrives with some gifts to apologize for punching Cryo on the nose. Both are accepted, the gifts being a shawl for Cryo, a tool-scarf for Lily, and six cozies for Cryo's eggs to help keep them warm. Their discussion wakes up some of the other Nest-Mothers, Xochi and Zama, as well as Seyardu who is there providing assistance. Lily puts tools away in her scarf as the others talk and Cryo worries randomly. Aryia explains she got her memories back, and hates who she used to be. Seyardu gives Zama a massage, and they also discuss books, while Xochi drinks her tea and falls asleep, and then the others do also as it is the middle of the night.

The arctic wind was unrelenting, blowing sheets of sheets of snow in waves that matched the rivers of green light flowing across the dark sky. The icy flakes, too hard and cold to settle, form into dunes and drifts that shift with the gusting air currents. There is a crystalline hiss as the landscape moves.

Inside a cave, inside an iceberg, it is no warmer than outside but the air is still. A small white dragon sits on her nest, crouched over a clutch of eggs, feeling each one poking at her scutes. The howling of the wind is uninterrupted, until it is. A shadow crosses the entrance blocking even the light of the northern lights.

A heavily scaled talon comes into sight, followed by a head that fills the cavern entrance with horns and frills. The little white dragon stares up at the much larger invader, an snow dragon of epic proportions.

"Progenitor! Why are you here?" The smaller one hisses defensively, further shielding her nest with her body.

The larger dragon surveys the cave. Her nostrils flare. "Tssk. To check on you. Cover them with ice, leave them. The strong will survive. You weaken our bloodline with this..." the elder dame dragon hesitates. There is no word in the language. She must lower herself, borrow one from the Fey, "... nurturing."

The little white dragon bears the admonishment. She can feel herself pressing down on her eggs, the life within moving, kicking against her belly.

"Ssassa, wake up! Ssassa! It's too cold. Ssassa, wake up."

Lily is on her back, tucked in between the eggs, thumping upwards on Cryosanthia. Who rouses from a dream, a memory.

Aryia, after some days away from Mictlan to take a breather, returns back to the nesting grounds. She offers a raised hand in greeting to the Watchers. They eye her suspiciously after her previous stunt, but she raises both hands in a placating manner before breaching the inner sanctum.

She takes a breath, used to the usual slam of emotions in the air at this point. Hell, she's probably able to half suss out what it all means at this point. She's forgone her sign that hangs from her bag as well.

She swings by a certain goldscale's nest, checking up on Metztli before moving on towards a more chilly space.

Sensitive ears hear the pleas of a small kobold, and the mute redoubles her steps.

A shadow crosses the entrance, blocking off some of the lights from the torches within the mastaba.

Except its not a dragon. A two toned whistle comes from them, a hand raising to gesture to the carnation scale, "EVerything okay?" <Handspeech>

"It's cold." A pink hand and head poke out of Cryo's nest, from underneath the whitescale herself. Cryo's nest is a traditional one of woven vines, on a low wooden platform. It's a wide, shallow bowl with enough room for her to curl up around six eggs and a kobold, or lie flat on them without crushing. <Handspeech>

Cryo is currently draped across it. Her head, arms, legs and tail hanging over the sides. Surrounding her, like a chalk outline, is a halo of hoarfrost. The warm air of Mictlan condensing when it gets too close to the whitescale.

"Stop kicking Little Fang, this one awakens." Cryo hisses, moving sluggishly, blinking as she awakens and looks around. <dragonic>

Aryia is sitting at the edge of the nest on her haunches, looking in. Used to the sight by now, but she couldn't help but give a tiny smile at it. She glances idly about, checking on things that the others told her about. Egg cracks, nest foundation, proper temp-

She frowns slightly, nodding at Lily.

The mother could see a scarred mul'neissa woman hanging outside her nest, twin torch-bright eyes giving an eerie gaze as the backlight masks a fair bit of her features. She raises a hand in greeting to Cryo once she gets some of her brain defrosted.

"Oh! Aryia, Peace on your Nest. I was..." Cryosanthia says, as her higher functions kick in the door with self awareness. Her head bobs high, she stands, straddling her nest, hunched protectively. She looks down at her nest, at the eggs, "... nesting."

"Too cold!" Lily repeats, interrupting, uncoiling. <draconic>

"... too cold nesting. I, yes, just a moment Aryia..." The whitescale stands up. Her head vanishes, as crossing a line of visibility, then her arm. She's reaching into a space above a rope that simply hangs from empty air. Rummaging around, Cryo crouches down again and makes some arcane gestures. Her gloves, she's wearing one and pulling the other on, start to glow. She makes careful brushing motions around her eggs, fingers a certain distance away and wiggling.

"This one sleeps..." She yawns, "... a lot."

Aryia's hand alights with a faint moonlit shimmer to make it easier to see as she gestures back in kind with a familiar, "Peace on your nest."

She patiently waits at the edge of the nest, though she transitions to sitting cross legged as she rifles around in her bag and pulls out a few wrapped packages. The same moonlit hand reaches down to paint on the floor in large, visible letters.

"Considering what you went through, I don't blame you. Sleep as much as you need."

Lily squirms out of the nest like a crocodile sliding down a mudbank. She hits the ground running and hugs Aryia tight. What might be a gesture of affection clearly has a practical purpose, the little pinkscale is very cool and the mul'niessa feels the heat leaving her on the kobold's side.

"Yes, it was an endurance." Cryo keeps making the warming motions with her hands. She looks much like she did before all this started, lithe like she was once before, except for the sagging front of her, loose scales where she was carrying. She shakes her head, "Some dream. Someplace cold. Winter's tower, I think."

Lily makes low growl.

Aryia readily takes the hug, smiling, but finds herself soon shivering as her heat is sapped. The mute unravels a loose green scarf on her neck and loops Lily into it to help speed the process along.

She bobs her head, frowning slightly at the mention of the tower. And the chill. More glowing writing on the ground.

"Should get you more tea to make it dreamless."

And under that.

"May I come in?"

"Oh yes, of course. Please, enter." Cryosanthia says, making room. Lily remains attached to Aryia, letting the mul'niessa carry her along. Cryosanthia continues the warming regimin, it taking some time. "This one is grateful for your assistance, and the help you gave others. Metztli remains a great fan."

"This one will consider the tea." She says.

Aryia inches forward before she starts to slowly slide down the shallow bowl, her pulling Lily on top of her lap to enjoy the brief ride down. The mute bobs her head, and write one more message on the ground.

"She's very sweet."

Now, both hands were occupied. The shadow elf holding up eight wrapped packages. One was rather large, another smaller, and the other six smaller of the same size.

"The gold scales are." Cryo says, perched on the opposite rim of her nest, sitting with her toe claws hooked into the wave. A braiding of tropical vines, possibly the further thing from what might be expected in an ice dragon's nest. Her tail coils behind her, and she's briefly looking around her space. "They just are better."

"This one apologizes for sniffing you." She says, rubbing snout with a wrist, then looking down at her visitor, and the gifts. "Packages? Oh! I, thank you."

She halts her breathing before she inhales her curiosity. "What are they?"

Lily wriggles free to grab the largest one, "This one mine." Hissed then signsed. <draconic> <handsign>

Aryia shakes her head, and waves the apology off. Though, she quickly switches the largest one with the second largest one. "No, this is yours," she motions with a hand, smiling lightly before offering the remaining seven to Cryosanthia. She lays them out in front of her. <Handspeech>

Seyardu was, almost as tired as the the Cryosanthia had been, for other reasons. Some of fhe nest mothers did not have as easy of a time, and Seyardu somehow found herself as one of the more experienced healers in Mictlan. And she needed to stay around, so not only were the mothers safe, but their eggs as well.

The cleric in question was passed out behind a fort of bookshelves on her back, dozing quietly. A dark crimson book was opened and hanging off their snout, where it had been left when they passed out.

Lily gives Aryia a look, clutching her new package against her chest. It's a layered expression, happiness at a gift, envy that it isn't the largest, anger at her Ssassa for being bigger, some sort of frustration that mul'niessa didn't anticipate all this and fix it --- with more gifts. Teen kobolds are complex.

Cryo takes her package, and looks at the remaining ones for her six. "Oh Aryia, thank you. Hmm, I suppose they won't mind if I open mine first."

Lily bounces her weight from foot to foot.

"Yes Little Fang, you may open yours too. Thank you for waiting. Thank you for waking me up."

Aryia gives another smile towards the kobold, her reaching out to pat the pinkscale on top of the head. "It's too big for you. Dont't worry, you'll like that one," she reassures with a gesture. <Handspeech>

Each of the packages are soft and squishy. Inside the wrapping was warm cotton.

The smaller packages were each a different color of the rainbow. They were like a tube sock, except shorter and wider. It was easy to realize these were little egg jackets.

The second largest package is a pink scarf that has little gears, nuts, and bolts emblazoned in grey. It has tons of little pockets lined all over it. Perfect for stashing little creations and random knick-knacks.

The largest package reveals to be a very, very long shawl. Ice blue and white with a smattering of snowflakes that dot the length of the fabric. There's a simplified white dragon that runs the length of the middle of the shawl, and at each end of it is emblazoned a circular, slitted dragon's eye, with a familiar careful script surrounding it.

There is a note folded within it. It reads,

In Draconic:

"Hey. I'm sorry I punched you. The whole nesting thing going on was also lining up with me getting really bad migraines in addition to finding my parents. I kind of snapped. I'm sorry. I'm better about it now, it doesn't feel like my head is going to explode anymore. I hope you like these. Sorry again."

Written like it was a stream of consciousness.

The mute twiddles her thumbs as packages are being opened, her leaning back some to spy a silverscale in the distance. She picks up an errant pebble in the nest, imbues it with a silvery torch-light of moonlight, and pitches it underhand towards the dozing figure.

Seyardu is a light sleeper, and a bright light suddenly bouncing off their stomach was more than enough to rouse them.

"Morning already?". The cleric mumbles to herself as she lifts up the tome off her head. She pauses to read the page, before she shakes her head and stows it away. She was on alert, but her training had made her not move until she was fully aware of her surroundings, which made them relax by the time she saw Aryia and Cryosanthia. " Ah, peace on your nests. Is everything alright? If you need anything at all Cryosanthia, you know you need only ask. And it is good to see you, Aryia."

"Oh! Oh this is beautiful." Cryosanthia holds up her shawl like a curtain and examines it, "The eyes are perfect, and you matched my colours. It is perfect!" She wraps it around her shoulders, looking very matronly and getting a stitch of clothing on.

Lily squeals happily, wrapping the scarf around her neck with a toss of one end that makes her resemble a practiced adventurer. She immediately scrambles up the rope, vanishes, re-appears with a box and sits beside the nest to start picking out tools.

Cryo chuffs in amusement, then goes through each of the packages. She hesitates before she wraps the first egg in its sock. "The sensation is strange, as if the colour I choose will influence their life, or how this one sees them."

Good thing there isn't a black cozy; Everyone wants to be Egg Black.

"No. It's still night." Xochi hisses, stretched low and uncomfortably on her nest. Also, apparently awake.

Aryia gives Seyardu another wave, followed by a "Peace on your nest" with her hands. <Handpseech>

The mul'neissa relaxes some, a hidden tension leaving her shoulders as she watches her scaled friends enjoy their gifts. She smiles warmly, hands resting in her lap as she sticks her pricked and scraped fingers between her shins. Genuinely, she was glad that Cryo and Lily liked it. And that there was less tension (perceived, anyways) in the air after her making good on her bopping threat.

She was better about it now. She lacked her warning sign.

The elf hisses out some syllables. No growls, just hissing. "T-y m-k- l-k c-t-. -s -ll." She then gestures to the egg cozies. <Draconic>

Seyardu waves back slowly, before she reaches to pick up the stone and put it away, hiding the light in her bag.

"Remember the resting postures Nahuatl showed you, Xochi." She states to the volatile redscale, doing her best to be calming. "If you need healing for stiffness, or tea to help you sleep, let me know. It is important you get proper rest."

She turns her attention to the other nest, and smiles. "That shawl looks nice on you Cryosanthia. And your scarf as well, Lily."

"They are very cute," Cryo says with an eager grin. Crouching forward she slides a cozy on each egg, then resumes the gentle warming, "This should help."

Lily is exploring the pockets in her scarf, determining which tools she can take in it, then which ones she wants to.

With six eggs a-sweatered, and her hands in motion, Cryo tilts her head, glances at the writing, "You have parents?" She shakes her head, "This one means, you found the ones that are? It was giving you a headache to do so?"

Come to think of it, that isn't too surprising.

"Thank you Seyardu, they are great gifts." Cryo dips her nose to the silver-scale.

Xochi crouches low, hissing, a 'don't come near' in a clear, primitive draconic.

Aryia can't help but smirk a bit as Seyardu compliments her handiwork, as well as Lily already putting the scarf to good use.

She wavers her hand in a so-so manner before popping open a pocket on her jacket on pulling out her journal. Scribble scribble. Show.

"Yes. Well, they found me. All is well, thankfully. The headaches are from my past memories trickling back. And when they showed up, it was a flood of them. So the entire nesting time, I had a blistering headache."

Seyardu chuffs as her attention is taken by the clearly defensive nest mother, and she holds one hand up placatingly. "Xochi, you know this one only wishes to help, and acting like this raises concerns for a friend and kin that not everything is alright." She states while trying to get a read on the redscale and what may be amiss. "I can fetch Vaera should you need a break again."

"Your headaches are still there? And how are your parents settling in to the city? Do they intend to stay?" She asks.

"Oh. This one's memories came in a flood. There was no headache, that this one remembers," Cryo says, blinking herself into the past. "Mikilos, Shaman Geir, ... two others saw them also."

"There was... more the emotional impact, a whole body pain." Screaming, there was lots of screaming too, "it was not pleasant and this one understands it must not have been with yours. So you know yourself then? The headaches are gone or not?"

"Peasssce." Lily echoes, testing a scarf-wrench, getting around to making a greeting.

"Thiss one needss Cryo to stop waking up in the night." Xochi hisses again, sounding irritated. She doesn't respond one way or the other to the suggestion of Vaera. No hissing for that.

"Oh Cryo is awake again? You're all making so much noise." Zama says, from within the book fort. She sounds quite exhausted, her labour was the worst. The only energy is in the end of her question.

Aryia raises a brow as Seyardu speaks with Xochi. She shrugs lightly, letting her sort that out. She's then asked a series of questions back to back, the mute holding up a hand to placate the silverscale. "Calm. Sort of there sometimes, they are getting used to it, and I have no idea, I think so for now." <Handspeech>

She looks around at the others complaining before sighing and looking back up to Cryosanthia. She shakes her head, and writes more, having to reiterate.

"Like I said, my head isn't going to explode anymore. Sometimes I get a small one, but it's not aggravating. I... sort of do? But not fully. It's like having lots of little moments come back that aren't connect at all. And there's thousands of them from the years I missed. I catch myself doing things that I don't normally do due to it. I at least know my origins now."

"This is why we were given the sleeping root to prepare into tea, Xochi." Seyardu sighs. "Cryosanthia is not the only one who wakes in the night, and come the nights after hatching, it will be only more prevalent."

She looks to Aryia as she signs, and nods. "I hope so, they were unsure on arriving here. That is good that your headaches are manageable now. Mine were, not painful. Emotionally draining, mostly, but not painful. Luckily Cryosanthia was there for that."

The quiet voice from the book fort gets her attention, and Seyardu bows to those outside before slipping inward. Zama was her chief concern at the moment. "Peace, Zama, Cryo has a visitor. Allow me to see how you are doing, and offer a massage and share some stories I have heard. They will help you back to sleep."

Zama hisses from within her book-nest, "That ssoundss lovely. A massage, and some healing. Is that Cryo's friend, the shadow-elf Egg-Watcher? She wants to talk about her originsss? Can this one steal her."

There's a quiet hissing from Cryosanthia. It can't cross that distance. Lily singlemindedly places more things in her scarf. It's becoming almost as heavy as her.

"Thiss one made the tea. It did not work." Xochi growls, staring at everyone in range. She takes up a huge pot, drinks it all in one long swallow, "Ssseee?"

Cryo looks back at Aryia, leaning forward slightly, canopying over her nest, "So... wassss, was where you came from... pleasant?" She asks carefully.

Aryia can't help but frown slightly as she watches Seyardu go about helping the others. She felt a little bad for waking the silverscale up. She looked just as exhausted as the mothers themselves.

Torch-bright eyes watch the carnation scale for a bit, curious as to see how much would fit before it became deadweight before shaking her head to crane it up at the whitescale. Aryia blinks, then rubs her neck before scribbling more down and holding it up to show.

"I was an Aby'ssaian noble. Clergy of the Unholy Union of The Tyrant and Taara. My life was comfortable, if a bit stressful due to politics. So, yes, it was pleasant by old Aryia standards. Current me thinks its insufferable."

"Yes, because you need to drink the pot, not have it sit next to you. It is a tea, not an incense. And you are larger than the others, need more." Seyardu sighs. Though she does chuckle when the entire pot is quaffed. "Peace on your nest Xochi, and good night. Get into a comfortable position before it takes effect, and make sure all your eggs will be secure."

Seyardu did look tired, but she did not look unhappy about arrangements, either. Disappeared into the tent, she busies herself, checking over Zama's nest, and the nest mother herself, before she settles into a seat behind the lorekeeper for the massage. "Yes, that is my good friend, and egg-watcher Aryia. Were there any stories in particular you wished to hear about today? Apologies, one of my books got mixed into your last delivery. There was one with a crimson cover and pen on it, and I shall find a much more suitable replacement for it in time."

Cryosanthia reads Aryia's note carefully, then stares for a while at the mul'niessa. Staring is something all the sith'makar do, it's become expected. The whitescale halts herself, on the verge of another inhale, instead nodding. "It iss, quite different from all this one has known of you. Like another person." She snorts suddenly with a discrete grin, "So the wooden block was right?"

Taara loves you.

Lily seems to have placed half a tool box into her scarf. It thunks to the ground when the carnation-scale stands, and she's stuck stooped over it. Sitting again, legs splayed out, she removes tools.

"This one has the Tyrants mark also." Cryo says, curling her tail around.

"Youuu? Yoooou sssserve the Tyraaaant?" Xochi sounds incredulous, and sleepy. She adjusts herserlf on her nest. Her uncomfortable nest, just how she likes it. Her words drawn out. "It isssss not taaaaaking efffectsss."

"Oh? You never showed this one." Zama says, sounding both interested and offended.

"You have seen all of me. You did not notice." Cryo hisses, a short snap of words, "This one does not serve the Tyrant. This one played the Tyrant."

"You got one of my books?" Zama asks, a hint of emphasis on the 'my'. It's swiftly ignored as the massage commences. "Oh, anything about growing up in Charn. Except I don't want her in the nest."

The brass scale has been very restrictive on who sees her since her delivery.

Aryia is used to the staring. She stares back. That tinge of an inhale just barely gets that sea air and linseed oil from the elf. Though, the snort makes her scowl, pout, and cross her arms. She takes the moment to be angry, but it bleeds away to reveal that she was merely playing before writing more.

"I know, right? It is the complete opposite of me. Something I despise. I am very glad I am not that person anymore. And the block /was/ right. Past tense. She left our family. Imagine what that's like: being the ones meant to bestow blessings, yet can't do it? We got ran out."

She cant help but snicker as the words go from nest to nest.

"Oh, that was your book?" Seyardu asks, suddenly very embarrassed. "This one, asked for someone to bring the new release with them to Mictlan. When they saw it was there, they assumed it was the one they asked for. I am sorry, I did not know, or that you like those books."

Seyardu pokes her head out of the nest, and looks to Cryosanthia and Aryia, after making sure Xochi was drifting off. "If you are willing, Zama would like to hear more about your life prior." Seyardu asks. "From the door, so Zama can see, or I can translate for her."

With that she ducks back in, and continues massaging the brass makari. It was one she had learned from Nahuatl, to support and ease nest mothers afterwards. "You said you need healing Zama? Please explain further, and I will do what I can."

"You should share words with Akoniril," Cryo says without thinking, then adds, "perhaps not. The blessings might return and we would be even more beholden to her."

Taara, Akoniril, she doesn't distinguish and perhaps it is pointless to.

Xochi starts resting her eyes and doesn't respond beyond a warning hiss she seems capable of making in her sleep. Maybe she's snoring.

"Did you know that every twenty three hours Cryo's temperature drops, independent of what she's up to." Zama informs Seyardu, bringing her voice down. From occasional grunts, the massage is going well.

The pinkscale raises her head at that revelation, looking towards the book-fort, then back at her Ssassa.

"What do you mean by that?" Cryosanthia asks carefully, the warming motion she was making halting, and a cool draft returning.

"Oh, that it is a natural cycle. You do not become cold because you are moody; you are moody because your temperature dropped." Zama replies cheerfully, the indifferent joy of scientific discovery strong in her voice. Followed by tones of slight embarrassment, "Oh, yes, it was. Well, this one wanted it for research purposes. And, um..."

The healing she requires is not described loud enough to be overheard.

Cryosanthia breathes steadily, "I see. This one would prefer to discuss her body's tricks off-cycle then." Before some other statistic is aired, like burps-per-hour, frequency of relief trips, or worse. Definitely embarrassed, a tone that is lost when she says, "This one desires the book when you and Seyardu are done with it."

Zama's laying difficulties were not shared. The silence suggests they were extremely bad. The fluffy knight has kept hers, not even sharing with her sister. There may have been a blockage, or something breaking, an egg cracking or worse. She may have lost one. The other Nest-Mothers treat the subject as taboo, allowing her space.

The brass scale hasn't emerged since her labour, although she joins in conversations she overhears and works on her research.

Without thinking, Aryia bluntly states in her voiceless manner, "F-ck. N-. Abs-l-tl-y n-t t-lk-ng t- Ak-n-r-l." She glances to Lily, then to Cryo, the mute mouthing a 'sorry'.

It seems like Aryia has some history with that priestess as well.

She looks between Zama's nest and Cryo, her raising a brow at the observation. Hmm. Interesting phenomena.

The mute blinks at Cryosanthia's request, her looking off to the side and digging around in her bag. She slides over a similar Crimson Quilled book. "Cen-turies of Note," the title reads in Sildanyari.

Aryia coughs.

"I did not know that, no. That is interesting, if it is at a set time, perhaps she could make use of it when she visits the docks in Alexandria?" Seyardu suggest. "When she is able to do so again. Or she could prepare a fire when the expected time is."

"They are interesting to read, yes. This one enjoys the stories, even if they are predictable to a fault at times." Seyardu chuckles, remaining a touch embarrassed. "And yes, it is good for learning."

Seyardu leans in to hear what was shared, before she gently hugs the brassscale, and offers a prayer and what healing she could.

"Sure! This one will keep monitoring, Subject White. This one will share her observations at a more opportune time. The book too, when thisss one isss done." Zama hisses happily, followed by groans in response to the massage. She murmurs to Seyardu, "It isss likely sssomething sssshe sssshould not interferesss with. Oh those clawsss are sssskilled, Sssshaman Sssseyardu."

Lily is watching Aryia intently. There are so many ways to sign that sign! She's absorbant.

"Yes... ah... thanks." Cryo says, to the brass scale in her book fort. Em-brass-scale, more like it, she decides but does not share. She takes the Crimson book from Aryia with a silent bob of her snout and a thumbs up! sign.

She returns to carefully warming the eggs. "Do you think Tenoc will believe the green shrouded one is his? What if a male hatches in the pink? Should I keep swapping them around? I shouldn't disturb the eggs so much." The whitescale's mind latches onto something to worry about.

"Fuck screwdriver. Fuck wrench. Fuck pliers." Lily names her tools as she puts them in her scarf. <handsign>

Aryia coughs a bit. Yes, they were informative. And informative at the same time. The mute, however, squints up at Cryosanthia. More scribbles, and she shows the page:

"It's just egg warmers, the color doesn't matter. You're worrying too much. Let them get warm again. Maybe if you keep the colors on certain ones, you can give each of them color coded clothes or medallions or whatever. It'd be cute."

She reaches over to pat Cryosanthia on the arm, but only before she spots the pinkscale gesturing to her tools. Her face colors a bit, and she pretends to not see it.

"This one learned from an excellent tutor. It is wise to heed Nahuatl's words and teachings." She states, with a glance out to the spiked fort of a nest nearby. "I will keep that in mind not to interfere. But, this one always seeks to help their friends."

She looks out to Lily as she works, and chuffs. "No, Lily, the two fingers are closed, and pointed together, not on top." She advises, making another sign for her tools made for fastening objects.

She's suggesting the sign for "Fasten" instead.

The white-scale relaxes at the touch on her arm. She nods, reading the suggestion. Her gaze follows Aryia's and she observers Little Fang. She has a mother's intuition and suspicion something is up, even if she doesn't comprehend exactly what the kobold is signing.

"Lily..." She cautions, which is enough to get the little pink-scale to switch to tools without family relationships.

"You are correct. This one should not overthink, and strive to sleep some more." Cryo adjusts her shawl, and the blanket she received from Aryia when she was recovering. Lily's is also nearby, but seems to have fallen out of the nest. She yawns, she didn't wake naturally, sleep is not that far away.

"This one has so many spells to talk about." She yawns again, "I ordered a thing, and Sabina visited to cheer everyone up. She had stories. She's thinking of calling her new place the 'Silver Seductress'."

The white-scale's shadow falls across the nest, and Aryia. She's moved her hands up, is much lower. "Lily, come back to bed. Aryia can you see if Faran is around?"

The massage continued a bit longer, but coupled with the healing from before easing some of Zama's pain, it was not long before she was drifting back off to sleep. Seyardu made sure she was curled around her nest, before she exits the book fort as quietly as she is able.

"Yes, you need sleep, Cryosanthia." Seyardu agrees, though she yawns herself. "You are doing great, Cryo. You will keep doing well, and we are all here to support you and the others."

Aryia bobs her head at Cryosanthia, her stashing her journal away and giving the whitescale a proper hug this time around. The tidbits of information are noted and filed away for conversation for later. She felt a lot better now that things were smoothed over.

She rises, carefully shuffling backwards by sliding her feet on the floor (to not step on anything, of course) to exit the nest. The shadow elf flashes a thumbs up. She'll find the fluffy knight.

And she goes to do so, vanishing in a fading after image. Damn, it feels so good to do that after the city blocked it.

After her search, she returns to Metztli's nest to hang out with her for a spell. The mute has taken a liking to the calm goldscale, after-all.

Cryosanthia hugs Aryia firmly, with less frigidity about herself. Her motions grow sluggish with sleep. She supports herself with one hand as she re-arranges the blankets, and pulls the shawl over her shoulders.

Lily has already gone up the rope and back down, putting away her things. She crawls into the shallow bowl and curls up beside her Ssassa's eggs. She's larger than they are individually, but the clutch is bigger than she is.

"Thank you. Both." Cryo hisses, stretching out, her breathing becoming deeper and steadier. Drifting into sleep.

"Aryia," Metztli welcomes the mul'niessa to her nest without fully rousing, brushing claws gently across her arm than slipping back to sleep. Hers is a peaceful nest.

Cryo's is still cool, and sleep takes longer to come for her. Her dreams have a long way to travel, after all, from an iceberg in the arctic, miles away and years ago.

Dreams of a little white dragoness, worrying on her nest.

Nurturing
<OOC> Cryosanthia says, "The joke is, Fey aren't known for 'nurturing' but have a word for it, and dragons don't"
<OOC> Cryosanthia says, "the double joke is, with the fey it's likely in the context of 'nurturing a grudge'"
<OOC> Aryia says, "lol"
