  • Title: <Band Name Here>
  • Emitter: Cryosanthia
  • Characters: Cryosanthia, Seyardu, Aryia, Mikilos, Merek, Toha, Stjepan
  • Place: A03: The TarRaCe
  • Time: Saturday, May 15, 2021, 9:35 PM
  • Summary: A Golem band is performing at the TarRaCe for the Saturday crowd. Aryia, Seyardu and Mikilos arrive at almost the same time, with Mikilos bringing Lily. One of the 'Golems' on stage is a metal Sith'makar, segmented and very robotic, whom Lily identifies as her Ssassa. Mikilos gets a table invites others as the music plays, rather dischordant and industrial. Merek, Toha and then Stjepan arrive, eat fajitas and discuss things. The band takes a break and the Sith'Machine reveals itself to be Cryo in disguise. A bit of the TarRaCe history is explained, as well as some Golem awakenings, and inevitably Merkabah. Almost everyone who has had any experiences there warns against it. Cryo returns to the stage, and the other band members, Panflute, 733 Vocalizer Unit and Stringbox take turns being the lead singer of their own compositions while Sith'Mechkar works the drums.

Inside, this two-story structure has been almost completely opened up. Generous windows on both stories allow daytime sunlight and cooling night breezes to flow in as needed, while the brick walls have been whitewashed - contrasting with the dark-stained beams and supports, and the rich polish on the wooden floor. A broad strip of stone runs from the entrance to a framed doorway set into the opposite wall, with a sign above the lintel declaring that the baths are to be found that way.

The ground floor is sprinkled with tables and chairs of assorted sizes, offering welcome to guests both large and small. One whole corner of the building - into which guests are not permitted entry - has been given over to the kitchen, which serves as the domain of the famed monster chef Ligum Serforus. Mundane meals are available, but the chef delights in offering up obscure dishes made from the freshest of monster ingredients.

Opposite the kitchen a small bar runs in front of an array of shelves, displaying a broad selection of beverages (most of them alcoholic). The bar-top has been fashioned from what looks to have been old pieces of armor, fused and welded together before being polished to provide a near-smooth finish. Set above it, three human-sized statues have been built into an alcove in the wall: Tarien, Rada and Ceinara jointly keep benevolent watch over the room and its occupants.

To the right of the entrance, a small stage offers a platform for a handful of performers at a time. To the left of the door, a spiral staircase of wrought iron winds its way up to a balcony dining area, that is chiefly reserved for special events and parties.

Outside, it's a cold evening with driving rain and a raging northeast wind.

Inside, warm and inviting. The TarRaCe is crowded. The weekend has the more unusual dishes, and often a live performance on the small stage. Today's musicians all appear to be golems, a group of four with a percussion, wind, string and a vocalist-other. It's hard to exactly classify them.

Their music is fast, with a solid backline beat.

The rain did not bother the sith'makar very much in the slightest, but there was still a point where it was too much, even for her. Usually when it threatened to soak through her bag just by being outside. She had finished with her prayers in the gardens early, not wanting to be caught out for too long. But what the war golem said to her the other day was still on her mind. This was the perfect chance almost, as she could use getting out of the rain as an excuse to investigate the building Toha told her about the other day.

And so the nearly soaked, silver sith'makar stepped into the warm building, shaking off some of the rain and taking in the area. Though, she lingers at the door for a long time, longer than most. It looks as they were almost completely lost.

Aryia wasn't paying too much attention to the sky as she was getting used to the presence- and noise- of the Colosseum. So when she slipped into the TarRaCe, she was soaked to the bone and with water pulling her hair down, as well as her lips into a frown.

She seeks warmth, but that was soon abandonded as she pauses against the wall to watch the muscians. Most tavern music she was used to was shanties and poor lutes being strummed. But nothing like this. She wrings her hair out, watching before spotting a familiar face of the sith-makar.

Mikilos is also unbothered by the rain. Maybe it's an elf thing, maybe it's a wizard thing, but the rainndrops seem to think falling somewhere else is a wise idea.

The rain also happens to avoid the little red kobold accompanying the wizard, but she is kinda clinging to his back, piggyback style. The pair sidestep after entry to avoid blocking the door, the kobold peering over the elf's shoulder. "There! There!" she shouts, perhaps a bit to loud for being right next to his ear, and points to the stage.

The sith'makar lingers at the door, trying to make sense of the sheer gathering of people and the music playing on the stage. She was lost in her own thoughts until the voice of the kobold drew her attention, causing Seyardu to look around for a moment. But she found not Lily, but the mul who was nearby, wringing out her hair. This seems to relax her some, as she steps a bit closer to Aryia, pulling a large cloth out her bag that she offers.

"Peace on your nest, Aryia. I was not expecting to see you here, but it is not a bad thing to find you. Best not to stay wet from the rain longer than necessary."

The drummer golem goes off beat for a moment, diverging into a short solo of rapid thumps, ending with a cymbal class and pointing the drumsticks at the kobold youngling. The golem appears Sith'Makar shaped, silver mithril metallic with gaps in its frame and some faint feminine concesions that lizards are really only able to pick up on. It, or she, also has a strobing light effect, and for decoration two light poles from its back, that illuminate the back of the stage.

It returns to the main beat after a second acknowledgement of the mage with the sticks.

Lily waves at Seyardu, "Peace on your Nesst!" then returns to hugging around Mikilos' neck. <draconic>

Merek walks along and into the place, while he takes a look about, his beltcape about the waist. He has a hood up, taking the time to smoke from the cigarette in his mouth. The Magi looks like he is thinking while he finds a place to settle in, nodding to people a little.

Aryia raises a hand as Seyardu approaches, her lips moving to repeat the phrase back to her but the noise drowns out the subtle pops and hisses the mul was only capable of. She gives an appreciative smile and gestures a "Thank you" in what little Handspeak she knew an tries to towel off with the cloth.

She glances to the loud kobold, her brows raising and giving a wave to the little one. If Lily was here, and not with Cryosanthia, then where was she?

The thought crosses her mind, '... its a metal band.'

Mikilos raises a hand in greeting to the stage, and after a polite nod to those at the door, makes his way towards an empty table not too far from the stage. Plenty of room for others, should the care to join, but mostly a good place to set down the excited Lily. Little hands grip tight, and it pinches.

"You are welcome, Aryia. We can talk still if you wish, but I just saw someone I recognized someone I know. Though I am sure that Lily would be happy to meet you if you have not already met her, though she can be quite energetic."

The waving of the kobold was enough to catch Seyardu's attention while Aryia towelled off a bit. She waves back to Lily, giving a toothy smile. Though the appearance of a golem shaped like one of her own kin gave pause. There was much to learn about the golems, it seemed. "Peace on your nest, Little Fang." She replies, stepping closer to the table after a glance back to the mul and the others at the door. 'Are you here to listen to the music, or get something to eat? And who is this here with you?' She asks, holding out a hand to the elf. 'Peace on your nest, my name is Seyardu, if you wish to share your own.' <draconic>

The scarred dark elf finishes up, offering the cloth back to Seyardu before pointing to her head and giving a nod. Aryia follows, stepping up next to the table and giving the pink kobold a pat on the head and waving to whoever they were treating like a tree branch. She pulls out a slightly damp piece of paper from a pocket and shows it to them.

"I am Aryia," it reads.

At least one little hand lets go, to wave at Aryia and Seyardu. Lily shouts in a high-pitched, child volume with cuts above the hum of adult conversation. "Aayrasss! Ssseyessarsssuu! Aayrassss! Sseyessarssuuu!" Although set on a seat, she immediately moves to the table, looking up at Seyardu as she comes over. She grins toothily when patted on the head, then points at the mage, "Thisss Miksssoss.".

On stage, the band plays on. The wind golem, or horn golem, seems designed specifically for a musical task, with resonant tubing and options to connect different kinds of horns. It seems like-wise, somewhat feminine although in a more standard humanoid configuration and produces both a constant drone and trumpet accents.

The music itself has a very industrial feel, the sounds of machines, forges, steam and clanging and a rapid, almost danceable beat. Toha has arrived.

"Isss Sssassa! On bangss." Lily answers, pointing at the stage.

Merek seems to be thoughtful while he nods to everyone, "I would like a drink of, whiskey." Then he begins to settle in, he offers that to whoever will be taking orders. There's a distant look to him though he does glance a little bit along to Cryo and to anyone else about, he notices Seyardu and nods, well he met the woman recently.

Everyone nods back to Merek, or not, as he wanders by the tables. The Tender of the bar slides a whiskey his way, "here you go."

Mikilos smiles to the silver scale, returning the greeting fluently, along with a firm handshake. "Peace unto your nest, Seyardu. This One is Mikilos Mithralla, wizard and friend to the Little Fang and Speaker Cryosanthia, the later whom we have come to meet. Please, join us, we were about to order refreshments." <draconic>

He nods pointedly to Aryia, including her in the invatation. "I'm told tonight is roast pepper fajitas on special, so was going to order a set of those, and perhaps some local ales."

Seyardu returns a firm handshake to the elf, caught off guard by the response, but she smiles again. She hesitates though at the offer, a hand hovering over the seat.

"Ah, yes, I should sit down here, and listen to the music. It is what I came here to do after all." She says mostly to herself, finally pulling out the chair at the table, and sitting next to the kobold. She turns where Lily points, taking another look at the sith'makar shaped golem as she thought about the comments from both mikilos and Lily. She offers the golem a wave, before turning her attention back to the table. "I know not what fajitas are. Are they good?" She asks.

Aryia sits as well, following Seyardu's lead and watching the stage. Not understanding a lick of the dragon tongue, she tilts her head. "Sss-sss?" she hisses, pulling out her journal and sitting it on her lap.

Movement near the table grabs her attention, her giving a nod towards Merek without really knowing them.

Merek lifts up the whiskey to take a drink with a nod, while he places the coin upon the table. The man inhales, while he begins to stand up, looking from hood to people. He seems to be considering, "Law is being followed. It's great, that's nice. I see a few things, maybe you would." He points to a few people, "If you would." He then nods, then he waves to Sey, "It's nice to see you again, you all have any room?" he asks. The man seems to be trying his best to distract himself from the geas.

Mikilos grins, and nods. "A food originally from the Desolation, I think, though they have long spread and been adopted elsewhere. Slices of foodstuff, usually hot roast meats and peppers, placed into a flour wrap and eaten, usually with a spicy sauce. There are hundreds of versions, and most allow you to adapt to your own tastes." He nods to Merek. "Plenty of chairs, feel free to join. How are you this day?"

The Sith'makar shaped Golem does resemble Cryosanthia in silhouette and build. If it's her, it's a fantastic disguise as she looks very much like a construct, with seams, rivets, and large gaps in her body, arms and legs where there are internal structures and parts of the backstage behind her visible. She's also a light-show, as piping within her flashes and pulses to the beat she's playing.

The horn-brass-wind Golem is very similar, as if one copied the other's style, although her inner tubes are thicker and mostly opague, all connected to outlets for brass instruments.

The third of the group is strangely blocky, manipulates a base guitar, and has several other string arrangements that are spars that rub together in an almost bug-like way. It seems capable of producing sounds ranging from cello to violin.

The fourth, the lead vocalist, lead guitar and 'other' is currently singing a carrier wave that oscilates from bird-like peeps down to deep rumblings.

It's music, but not as most know it.

As the music gets going, to a rather unique blend of accoustic signatures, the Kitchen doors open.

Emerging from the beyond is a familiar enough figure of leather and steel, tucking several esoteric looking tools into the larger pouches hanging from her waist. Toha twists some to wave back toward some inaudible remark from the den of cookery beyond, then sidles her way out to a spot to observe the show. While she's never seen the particular construction of the five-limber, she imagines from the stories that she knows who that is and starts to nod along to the beat whilst absorbing the melody.

Aryia was enraptured by the esoteric display that was going on, the background fading away for the time being. Was that Cryo up there? Wasn't she more... flesh than machine? Or was it some weird magic that hid everything? Was she a golem? Aryia scratches her head, confused.

Toha could spot the scarred shadow elf that was vaguely familiar, one who gave them a scathing lesson in written form.

"That does not sound too extravagant, but it sounds good. I do not see why I can not try them." The sith'makar nods, as if convincing herself. "Would you like some as well, Aryia? Or something else, though I know not what is on the menu. Perhaps Mikilos knows better. It would be my treat, so you would not need to worry about the price." She offers, a far cry from convincing herself to buy fajitas for herself. "Ah yes, Merek, I remember you from the other the day. I do hope that your fishing the other day was successful. It has been a while since I saw you near the temples."

Aryia gives a quick thumbs up at the idea without looking.

Lily grins and hops over to try and sit on Seyardu's lap. She's small enough she could. Aryia's question makes her bob her head, she repeats, "Ssasaa!" Points at the stage and waves wildly.

The Sith'Machine does appear to be watching the youngling, and between beats tips the drumstick her way, then circle-swirls it to include the whole table.

Merek looks along to Sey and nods a bit, while he smiles, "Thank you," then up to Mik, "You as well." The man takes a seat while he watches the place, drinking the whiskey. There's a look at the Sith'Machine while he nods a bit.

Mikilos tsks, and waves vaugely at the mention of price. "Allow me. I'm feeding youngling already, a few more will hardly make a difference. I'm not sure what all the have tonight, but can likely get slices of beef, pork, and fish. All are good, though I wouldn't mix in a single wrap."

The elf waits a few moment to catch the attention of the waitstaff, and when they are ready orders a selection of menu items, mostly fajita kits, but several side dish and quite a few drinks, enough to fill the table with something for everyone. And several more besides, really. Seems the wizard plans to linger and share.

"Fish!" Lily pounds her little fist on the table, staring intently at Mikilos with the intensity of ten red dragons. Her preference is now known, she keeps her attention fixed on the Dawn Elf, to be sure he knows.

She turns, and gazes up at Seyardu and lets her know, "Fish bessst."

Toha is a little surprised by the number of people on hand that she recognizes. Still, determined not to be a distraction or any more of a spectacle than she must, she stands near the wall trying not to cut off anyone's view.

"Please, it is alright." The sith'makar replies with a shake of her head, preoccupied with the child clambering into her lap to catch it right away. but it was too late for more protests as the orders were called to the table by a passing waiter. She sighs, patting the kobold on the head. "Thank you, that is quite kind of you to do. Fish is quite good, I would certainly agree Lily, though I would not turn up meat in general. Perhaps I will take some time to catch some at the docks one day, and bring some for you and Cryosanthia."

Stjepan ducks in under the lintel of the doorway, then straightens, looking around -- but mostly for the specials-board. He scans the room, waves generally, then sits down on a chair carefully.

Mikilos is well aware fish is best. He may disagree, but will be swiftly and firmly corrected. He is, however, starting with some slices of dark bread smothered with melted cheese.

Merek looks about the place and nods to Sey, "I like fishing." The man offers that, it's the best that he can do while he's thinking. Well, he seems to be happy that he can manage that. Then it's back to looking to make sure all laws are being followed.

Finally tearing her attention away from the fantastic stage, Aryia picks up whatever food was closest and nibbles on it as she gives a wave to Stjepan. There was quite a lot of people here. And just random faces, but people she somewhat knew. She shifts a bit in her chair, accidently scooting the whole table an inch and freezing a beat before fussing with something under her sleevs.

The music rises to a creshendo, then a crash that sounds like a collapsing tower and shattering glass. The silence that follows is almost its own musical moment, as ringing ears produce an anti-tune of what was played.

The lead vocalist calls, "Give it up everyone for StringBox, who fights for awesome, Panflute the Pipeist, who sucks and blows, Sith'Mechar the Sith'Machine on drums who will figure out her name one day. I'm Seven-Three-Three Vocalizer Unit, call me Lee and we are 'click' Band Name Here 'click.'"

It, he, Lee bends at the waist as only a machine can, forming a perfect 90 degrees before straightening and adjusting his cape. The other named golems each perform a wave as they are named, and then break formation and slip side-stage.

"Fishing is good. One of the few ways I could help with food back home." The sith'makar nods, flinching somewhat from the movement of the table and crashing crescendo of the band. But it passes and she pulls the table back in place with a hand, before looking at all the food on the table, feeling lost yet again.

"It's alright, Aryia, come, eat." She attempts to reassure the mul, turning her own attention back to the table, and feeling no closer yet. "It all looks very good, truly. What would you recommend to start with, Lily?" She asks the kobold, pulling her chair close enough to the table to make sure everything would be in reach as possible for the child.

Stjepan ends up clapping for the band, and then ordering a charcuterie plate to take advantage of the many meats. He rests, watching and waiting.

Mikilos frowns mildly at the musical finish. The wizard has heard musical arrangements from all over the world, and a few from beyond, can appericate a wide range, but this doesn't suit his personal tastes. He does applaud politely, and then turn his focus to making himself a wrap of sauted onions and peppers, with a bright green sauce.

Toha doesn't clap as the song ends.

What she does do is raise a metal fist and call out a wordless victory cheer that startles a couple of people seated at tables not far from the construct.

The feminine golem starts to move toward the stage, now that the performance is over, as it seems a lot of her acquaintances are gathered, there, "Hey!"

Aryia flinches from the finishing crash of the band, but quickly shakes her head and claps for the metallic band. Interesting. Seems like some kind of music she could get into. Drowns out everytrhing. She turns back to the table, nodding at Seyardu and continuing to nibble on everything.

The Sith'Machine turns her head at the cheer, nods and points to a door near the stage.

"Yessss. Wrap firrrst, take the terrry fissh, onions, pepparss red, pepparss green, ssalsss and creamss and cheeesse. Softskinss make cheese, and the sweet sauce and roll and squish!" Lily explains as she demonstrates and makes herself a fajita, adding the meat, vegetables, cream and sauce. She over does it, as her eyes are bigger than her stomach, and has to press firmly on the tortilla, but manages to roll it up with only a little mess.

Cryosanthia slips out the indicated door. She's holding a wooden mask in her hands, and expertly dodges between the table to join the one with her friends. "Peace on your nests, all." and a cautious, "Oh, hello Merek. Are you feeling ok?"

"Will you join us Toha?" Also, "Wow, everyone came! Thank you."

Cryo leans and kisses Lily on the top of her head, and rests her hand on Mikilos' shoulder.

The silver sith'makar follows along with the explanation, not making one herself yet. She pulls out the cloth from before, wiping up any of the mess on the table before she took a plate for herself. Everything was followed, even the order off the fried, colored peppers. Though while lily's wrap was fit to burst, the amount on her own plate was small. Mostly vegetables for certain. She turns before wrapping it up though, smiling to the whitescale and offering a wave, and a glance of concern to Merek at the comment. "Ah! Peace on your nest, Cryosanthia. To be completely honest, it was chance I showed up today. It was actually a comment a friend made about you stopping here that made me wish to investigate the place."

Aryia looks... quite honestly impressed as she finally makes the connection. She fidgets with her sleeve once again, feeling a bit inadequate in the presnence of everyone else before finally giving Cryosanthia a greeting wave. There was no point in trying to make any attempt at speaking here. The crowd was far too loud.

Toha continues her approach, offering a wave, "Hey, Cryo, neat sound ya had, there!" The golem levels her eyeslit on the table spread, watching the pink kobold roll up a meal that could be construed as 'prodigious' and she cants her head, "Is all a'that gonna fit?" she wonders of no one in particular.

Gastric refueling is a concept to her not an experience, and she doesn't know how much internal storage a particular breathing frame comes with per size.

She looks to the Mul'niessa, dipping her chin a moment with a, "Hi!", then does similarly to the rest of those she knows.

Mikilos smiles to Cryo, and nods in agreement. "You're getting better as a band, more in sync with each other. I still fail to see the appeal, but I can appericate the quality."

"Oh! That's wonderful. Well, a little trivia, the three owners are all priestesses of three different gods, Tarien, Ceinara and Rada, so the stage is dedicated to Ceinara and she's more likely to notice performances. It's the closest to an actual Temple to her in Alexandria, much easier than finding the dance platform. So I perform here." Cryosanthia explains, moving around the table to speak more easily to Seyardu, and also watch Lily.

Lily is eating. This is important. She will not be disturbed. She will make it fit! She will continue to have her fajita leak out of its wrap and onto her plate also. Crunch!

Cryo smiles at Aryia, a careful one that keeps her lips closed and teeth obscured, "Very pleased to see you here also, Aryia." She noses towards the kitchen, "I also help Sabina with the accounting. Scribing."

The whitescale lowers her head, making a small bow towards the Golem, "Thank you Toha, it means a lot to me to hear that from you. I don't quite feel comfortable with my costume, but the band assures me it makes it all work better. I wanted to discus..." she glances at the table, "... well further discuss sound scalings, like before, but it might be too loud and technical for right now."

"Thanks Mikilos! It is fun. It's just for fun."

Aryia reaches forward and subtly pushes little Lily's plate underneath the fajita so it doesn't spill over herself and Seyardu. She grabs more of the array of food, as well as one of the drinks.

She gives a light smile towards Cryo, accompanied with a raise of the hand. It pretty clear she's not used to the amount of people conversing at once, and she doesn't insert herself into any of the conversation. Not that she could. Showing notes over the growing table with so much going on sounded more like a hassle that wasn't worth anything that needed to be clarified.

The scarred mul shifts back in her seat, head swiveling from person to person as she slowly eats fajita after fajita while fading into the background of conversation.

Damn, these were pretty good.

Merek seems to be content to listen while he takes a look to any food.

The whitescale stares at the man after he ignores her direct question. He must be Ok then; she's not going to pry.

Stjepan takes the plate of meat, and leans back, scoothing his seat closer to the others. "This is good sausage," he offers.

As the others talk, Seyardu rolls up the small wrap. She lifts it up, takes a bite. She blinks, and takes another, one hand held beneath it to prevent anything from falling on the pink kobold on her lap. "It is quite good." She notes, taking another bite before she pauses, setting the wrap down so she could make it last. "That is certainly an interesting trio to patron this place, but it makes sense with the lively atmosphere. I have never heard of a sith'makar singing anything that had no story tied to it, or making music for similar purposes. But it was interesting. Not bad, but I am unused to it. And places such as this."

"Peace on your nest, Toha. I was not expecting to find so many familiar faces here today, but it is certainly a nice occurence. It makes it easier to take in a place such as this."

"Hey Seyardu!" the golem replies with her usual happy expression. |{

"I didn't either. I was just in the kitchen, cuz Pan said they were having a little trouble with one of the gadgets they got in the back." She cants her head, still in good cheer, "Luckily, I finished up a little before the show started." There's a pause, and she levels her eyeslit on Seya's plate, then, "I hope the whole experience is what I said it'd be?"

"Make yourself a fajita Merek, they're good, they're not against the law." Cryo says, glancing his way before gazing at the food. It looks excellent, but she's performing, that might be better on an empty stomach.

She moves and pats Mikilos' shoulder again, "Save some for me, please. Tell Lily its for her for later if you must."

Lily wiggles on Seyardu's lap, now with a lot less mess thanks to the plate repositionning. She agrees with that plan, "Yessss."

Cryosanthia looks thoughtfully at Seyardu, "It's complicated. I do like a song with a story, but..." she glances at Toha, "please correct me if I'm wrong," looks at silverscale once more, "... for some Golems, their first awareness was a repetitive sound, or a dissonance, an anomaly that shunted their programming from rote execution to consciousness. So there is meaning in the noise."

"A machine language primal scream, if you will." The whitescale grins.

"It is, I am not sure what to make of it yet, to be honest." Seyardu replies, looking a bit unsure to the whitescale, and those used to sith'makar. "But the music is very lively, and the food tastes quite good. I do not dislike it, for certain, and getting to see those you know here certainly makes it better."

"I would like to learn more about it though, I like the idea of music. Bards are different, but I know that music can raise the spirits of others, and that is important when people are in need."

Toha's hand curls some on Cryosanthia's question and her chin dips, "...no..." she answers softly, a strange edge in her voice.

Her chin lifts, then in a more regular volume as her hand alights on the back of a chair, "I mean... I'm sorry, Cryo... I mean, I know some of us say it was like that." The chains anchored to her frame sway a little bit, but if she moved it was rather minute to catch.

Her focus swivels to Syardu, though her eyeslit doesn't make any indication of same, "It sure does. Nice ta have friends around, 'specially making cheer."

Stjepan eats sausages and salamis of unknown origin, not interjecting into the representation-conversation.

"Oh. Well. I'll need to talk some more about it I guess," The whitescale responds to Toha. "I could relate to Mac Bee losing his memories. Its memories. It's... well it didn't sound like how I remembered hatching. Anyhow..."

Cryo addresses Seyardu, closing her hand around a small poutch she wares around her neck "I'm working on something," The air is suddenly cooler, "it's personal. Very. It might... do things... I'll see. It's not ready yet."

733 Vocalizer Unit knocks the mike stand up on stage. He vodes, "Good to see everyone enjoying themselves, eating. I thought that was a joke the first time I was told. We're about to start up again, so all 'click' Band Name Here 'click' units return to stage."

"That's my call, thank you for Egg-Watching Lily, Mikilos, Seyardu. Eat up my Little Fang. Peace on your nest Stjepan!" Cryo pats Lily on the head, then glides smoothly around the table towards the stage side door. She opens it, steps through and slips on her mask. Her disguise comes on as the door is closing, her long tail switching to sinous segments with a glowing underside.

Merek looks about to people, then he nods to Cryo, "Be well!" The man then will take a look to everyone else, "I think a few potatoes would be nice."

Stjepan salutes Cryo, then nods over the table, and orders another plate of fruit and meats.

Seyardu says, "Oh, well, I do not know, but when it is ready, whatever it might be, I will be around if you need to share." Seyardu offers with a smile. "There is no problem, I offered if you ever needed, though it was chance that I came here today to help keep an eye on Lily. Peace on your nest, Cryosanthia." She looks ot one of the drinks, a tall glass lifted, and looked at, as she continued to hold it. "There is alcohol in this glass." She states, looking down at the drink in hand again."

Toha gives a light clap of her fist against her breastplate, "Go get'em, Cryo!" she says in a more standard tone, then looks around as people scarf, or discuss alternative options of scarfing. She isn't entirely sure she should still be milling around, but, then, there's more music to come and so the golem carefully, almost daintily draws out a chair to settle in for the show. About the alchohol, she notes, "That's supposed ta be good, too."

Stjepan looks over at Toha. "Can you analyze taste? You might find something you find pleasing to sense." Sniff the booze. It's better that way, anyhow.

"I guess it is supposed to be good?" The sith'makar half asked, half reaffirms before she quaffs most of the glass. "Not sure." The rest off the glass follows, and she coughs, setting it down. "Does this place always have music like this? Is this how the people who own this building honor the gods, almost? I assume it is still a business at the end of the day, but I can respect, well, respect for art, even if I am unused to it."

<Band Name Here> assembles on stage. 733 Vocals has taken a step back, swapping with Panflute who takes the mike-stand. Stringbox is opposite, with the Sith'machine taking her position in the back on the drums.

The music commences with 733 emitting a distorted, static laden scream. Not ear-splittingly loud, it still resonates and fills the stage. Panflute starts counting down.

"Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six."
"Five. Four. Three.
"Two. One."
"Ignition!"
"Lets. Get. it. Started."

The Sith'Machine lights up, drumming a fast and heavy beat. Panflute starts dancing, punctuting some of her movements with horn blasts, rotating her arms and alternating kicks. She repeats the 'verse', then does so again.

Toha shakes her head, "I wasn't built fer that." she says with a shrug of her shoulders, "I've been tryin ta work up the upgrades, cuz you all really make the eating sound fun." Seyardu's question brings her attention back that way and she returns, "I don't think so, it usually sounds very different.

Stjepan nods slowly. "Well, it's fun and necessary for us, so -- might as well like it." He is systematically demolishing his plate as he goes, foot tapping along with the music.

Panflute keeps dancing. The percussion remains fast and a domininate undercurrent in the music. Often enough that anyone nodding seems to do so on the beat. The band, at least the three of the four units that have a visible head, are.

733 Vocals, Pan and Sith'Mechkar nod. Nod. Nod. Nod.

"Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six."
"Five. Four. Three."
"Two. One."
"Ignition!"
"Let's. Get. It. Started."

Pan repeats, continuing to kick and windmill her arms. 733 seems to be adding sounds, almost words, 'hands up in the air', that are lost in the chaos of sound.

Stringbox interjects with a loud and clear, "Extreme. Powerful."

Followed by music without any lyrics that continues before Pan employs her horns to produce a rising wave, into what sounds like a finale' except it loops back to the start and the countdown lyrics again.

Lily meanwhile is bouncing on Seyardu's lap in synch with the beat.

Seyardu reached to finish off her wrap, a few large bites all it took for the sith'makar to polish off the plate. She looks to the rest of the food, but leans back into the chair, watching the music and accompanying show. She couldn't help but nod just slightly, in beat but off tune to the song.

"You can upgrade things such as that, Toha? that must be interesting, being able to suddenly taste and eat food. Even more fantastic than being able to see as others do, but that is within the realm of possibility."

Toha nods some to the beat, but continues with the conversation, "I drink quicksilver, now and then, after I get tore up in a scrape." She looks toward the stage as Pan really gets going, then watches the interplay between the little one and Seyardu. Her head cants a little at Seyardu's question, "I've upgraded a lot of my systems, before, and I know of golems who eat. Like Munch, I just haven't quite figured out the fine mechanics of it yet." She shrugs her shoulders, "I got turned into a mouse in Merkabah so I.... kinda smelled things before."

Stjepan stiffens a little at the mention of Merkabah. "That fu--... that place." He shakes his head, and orders wine. "You know, I have many questions about that that I probably ought not to ask."

The music continues, another several repeats of the lyric stanza and then it ends in a static absorbtion that was similar to how it started.

The next song seems to be all instrumental work. The Sith'Machine drummer stands, and joins 733 Vocals and Pan in dancing. The drumming is a lot clearer.

Pamp! patterpatter. Pamp! patterpatter. Pamp! Pamp!

The horn section, Panflute, creates another rising wall of sound, intersped with clear notes that seem almost harpsichord like.

Overall, it's quick, evoking the feelings of a race as well as being danceable. It might encourage a few to swallow faster than they chew.

Lily watches the stage. Her Ssassa performs some quick casts between the drumbeats, and pulsing lights appear in the eating area of the TarRaCe, flashing in time with her internals, Pam's, and 733's lightcords.

"I know not about merkabah. If it is bad or not, but it sounds like an odd place if that is happening." Seyardu replies, shaking her head and reaching for a small piece of bread. She was still hungry, and it likely wouldn't go amiss. "Quicksilver to heal damage, that sounds interesting. Though a bit dangerous to people nearby. "If being turned into an animal works, then it would stand that it may work for eating as well, though it would be important to know how it works beforehand. I do not know if I would do something like myself. But I am happy you are here, sharing this meal or not. It is not a requirement, in the slightest."

She leans back as she munches on the bread, turning to look up at the lights for a while.

"It's... all yer worst nightmares about artifice laced into a city that's.... crippled, but just won't die." Toha explains as she looks to Seyardu, then back to Stjepan, "We been out there, before."

The golem looks back to Seyardu and Lily, "It's a part of many of my systems. Amongst other things, it lets me do this."

The tiny silver rivets holding her pauldron seem to melt and recede into holes before she pulls the plate off, revealing more of the interwoven straps of her shoulder 'muscles'. She sets it on the table, then, "It kinda makes sense, but I'm not sure what would happen if I turned back before the eating mechanics finished with the food."

Merek will isten and nods a bit, while he thinks about it. He then takes a look along to Toha with the discussion of that thing, "Ah, I like nicer things, like. Well, not Merkabah," he notes.

Lily perked up at the mention Merkabah. She looks at Stjepan, then Toha, then says, "Gobboss sayss good. Lotsss parts. Good place go!"

This contributed, she noticed other things as well. Words like 'quicksilver', 'silver' and then Toha's partial disassembly of her shoulder. Lily reaches slowly across the table, her pink hand going for the removed plate.

On stage, the band with no name continues into another instrumental that has a larger emphasis on strings, so StringBox takes centre stage and leads the arrangement with several strong flicks along the frets. Every third strong beat, there's a twin trumpet blast from Pan, while 733 appears to be adding metal-grinding noises.

It doesn't /sound/ like Merkabah, but some of it is a little too unsettlingly mechanical for those that have been there.

Stjepan scowls. "No. It's not a good place." He clams up, and starts to eat, and drink.

Seyardu looks back down as Toha explains and shows how the armor comes off so easily. though the moment Lily starts to reach over, The silver sith'makar quickly stops the motion with a hug and a small chuckle. "Easy, Little fang. That is still part of Toha, and I would not go handling it needlessly, or without permission. Though you can ask her if she can show you it, if she agrees." Seyardu gently chides, patting the kobold on the head. 'So it is something that helps keep things together, and can be manipulated to some degree? That is interesting, I can see how replenishing it could help in a pinch.' <draconic>

"Well, I don't imagine they've been inside, then." Toha says with a little shrug, "It's the sort of place that'll literally eat ya if you ain't careful. If yer lucky, it'll kill ya, doin' it." she says to the little one, but being that the construct isn't all that old, herself, she only has a tenuous grip on 'soften it up for the young'.

She visibly looks toward Stjepan as he makes his own rebuttal. She doesn't overtly react, this isn't that place.

Maybe later, though he may think it's also not hers.

She turns toward Seyardu's query, replying with, "Among other things. Some things that're... sensitive ta silver really don't like it when I hit'm."

On having more of her eyeslit turned thattaway, the construct takes in the situation with a little nod and warmly replies, "Thanks Seyardu, but she can play with it for now." before reaching out to slide the plate toward the tiny hand, "Just remember I'm gonna need it back before I leave, ok?"

Lily seems uncertain. She trusts Goblins. They're her size and into the same things she is. Stjepan is huge thought, bigger than her Sith'mom; it's generally good not to anger large things. She settles for trying to get that shoulder plate.

Until she's stopped by Seyardu's intervention.

Her other Egg-watcher, the dawn-elf, asks for a box for leftovers to fulfill Cryo's request and distract Lily further.

Then, the plate is handed to her. Treasure and Food! For waiting! She squeals happily. "Thannsss!"

On stage, the band keeps playing, moving from the current instrumental into another one. The Sith'machine plays a supporting role, keeping a steady beat for the other musicians, even if she's the one most likely to lose her timing. 733, Pan and Stringbox take turns being the lead as they move through various instrumentals which reflect their personal desires.

"Uh-huuuh." Little Fang tells Toha, putting the plate on her head so it sits between her horns like a youngling sized helmet.

"I understand. But it is important to be patient, and wait for permission." Seyardu replies, partly to Toha, and partly to Lily as she relents her hold for the kobold to pick up their temporary prize. "So it is almost, or is a part of you, with how what you said and showed earlier worked. "If I go there some time, I will be certain to be careful though. You never know where work with the adventurer's guild goes. I am sorry, but I should likely go soon. My name is Seyardu sir, and I if I see you around I can always talk to you then. But I will need to get back to my room before it is too late." She finishes, gesturing to the giantborn.

Seyardu sticks some coins on the table before she leaves, rather obviously despite her best attempts at sleight.

"Essentially. My design is kinda rare. At least, I've never seen another with the same construction scheme." Toha replies, "Some bolt new shells on. I've seen blossoming rods used, too." She looks to the Jotun for a moment, then back to the Sith, "Yer right, though, the Guild can send ya anywhere, but remember ya gotta choice." With Seyardu's intention to leave echoing in her accoustic resonance converters, she nods and reaches out to gently bump her knuckles against the Sith's arm, "It's good seein ya again, go with the Mountain's strength and yer kind heart, an have a good one!"

"Means you're unique, like anyone else." Seyardu replies with a small chuckle as she lifts the pink kobold out of her lap, setting Lily down in the seat she just vacated, with a small readjustment to the temporary helmet. "Make sure that Toha gets that metal piece back, alright?" <draconic> She tells child, before she turns back to the golem at the table. One thump to the floor from her tail, nearly drowned out by the music. "peace on your nests, it was good to see all of you. Sorry we did not get to speak more Aryia, but you can stop by the temple anytime. May the celestial mother protect you all."

Once goodbyes were said, the silver sith'makar gave a wave to Aryia, and the mechanized Cryosanthia on the stage, very obviously leaving several coins on the table, enough to pay for half of the food easily. Before anyone could object she was gone, stumbling over a chair and apologizing profusely to its occupants in her hurry to leave.

"Yesss." Lily says, tailthumping the table and waving as Seyardu leaves. She returns to packing up leftovers and her eyes are clearly bigger thant he box as well. On stage, the <Band Name Here> band plays on.
