Bina has had a loooong evening. Talking with silly barons that forget how to treat people. Those people that were treated badly and are upset. Again and again talking to those people. Getting hit by rubbage and stones. Silliness at the jail house and now this. Her temper gets the best of her and her hands raise, fingers wiggling though the paterns and splashing color over a couple of the Ruby gang. One of which who falls over to the ground. "I don't think so! Last nerve! GONE!" She says as she wisely finds cover.

Never one for wisdom, Bannon points his rapier at the captain of the Ruby gang, then dashes forward on light feet. Taking to the air with a powerful leap, Bannon lands nimbly on the crates next to the captain, bringing his rapier around in a flash and lunging forward as he shouts, "Delivery for the captain!" He grins maniacly as his rapier sinks deep enough to find flesh, the wild-eyed airman laughing as he says, "Hurts, doesn't it!" He withdraws his rapier as soon as it lands, the swashbuckler, taking a step and lining up his next attack already.

The problem is that they have cover, the enemy that is, and the rest of the group doesn't. So Davi fixes that by shoving her quarterstaff hard into the nearest boxes to tumble them down for cover for her and the others. Ducking down behind it to pull out her bow instead.

"Rocky!" Shilde gets her companion's attention with his name, then snaps.. and points at one of the gunners hiding behind a crate near his captain. "Take down!" she tells him, and with a bark he runs off towards the poor fellow, getting a pretty good chomp on him. Meanwhile Shilde begins concentrating on a spell. Davienne has reconnected.

More of them pop out from hiding, thoguh some of them have been revaled by toppled crates and your tgeneral actions. There's about six more of them, all in all.

The woman atop that Bannon just stabbed, it was a bit hard to tell with her androgynous clothes and low voice, drops back from the crate trying to gain some distance and shotos him with some sort of dragonspitter that discharges a a wadded exploding pouch that splatters across his person. The others are using other, similar alchemical firing weapons. The impacts *hurt*, but they're definitely not intended to murder the way bullets are. It's creative, certainly.

In the meantime, more of them hit, one bullet each to Burai, Sabina and Davienne in turn!

Burai barks in pain as he is shot. But midway through the sound dissolves into a feline yowl, and a large spotted jaguar stands where the half-oruch was earlier. It runs to the wall and begins scrabbling up. At first the clawed paws slip and gouge long rents before they find purchase and he pulls himself up to where he can growl down at the gang.

Sabina yelps, jumping as she is winged in the arm. She zeroes in on the firer of the shot and lifts her holy symbol, "Tarien help me remind that man that he's a turd herder!" The spell goes off but Tarien is not with the priestess and she sighs as nothing happens. "Right! Less anger."

Bannon grits his teeth as the dragonspitter goes off in front of him, peppering his torso with burning hot debris. He falls back with a grunt, his hands reaching up for a moment to feel at a particularly painful impact. Judging himself capable, it seems, Bannon grins and leaps forward, his jump carrying him off the crate, into a roll, and up to the leader of the Ruby Gang. His rapier thrusts forward, missing by a hair's breadth before the airman takes a step off to the side as his rapier swings around to attempt to find purchase in skin once again.

The crates have fallen and she hides behind the crates. A bullet hits her shoulder and she hisses with a snarl. "Waste of air shitbags," Davienne shots as she comes up, takes aim, lets loose with her arrows, and ducks back down again. "Fucking spineles filth!" She keeps on with the tirade of insults. Some of it in Syl and none of it nice. Where -did- she learn such things? She's certainly not a sailor!

The baron is on the ground, by now, flailing and screaming.

This is because Sir Rodgort hs tackled him and is shielding him with his body.

The other prisoners have hit the ground because what else is ther for them to do?

The staccato, high pitched "hee-hee-hee" announces the arrival of another canine friend, a hyena appearing as if from the shadows themselves to harry Bannon's foe from behind, nipping at the backs of her legs. Rocky continues to try and bear down his gunman, but his bite-hold rips free when he jerks his head to the side. Meanwhile, having finished bringing the hyena into play, the dwarf druid quickly steps over to Davienne, taking a second to make sure the half-elf is aware of her before touching her on the shoulder to mend some of her wounds, nature style.

They quickly back up, reloading their guns to a man. This is the sort of thing that's necessar,y after all.

Except the girl who was talking backs up over the hyena, which is biting her, and hits the ground with a thurd and a scream. This alarms her companions, who quickly take aim at the hyena and Shilde.

They're shouting, there's a lot of chaos.

Burai the majestic jaguar - after searching his memory for any spell he can cast that won't risk setting the airship on fire, and failing - leaps at the one of the bandits! But without knowing how it happens, he mistakes an open crate for his target and winds up sitting inside. He growls and glares at the bandid through an opening between boards on the side of the crate. That should show him.

Bina steps back out from behind her cover and again her fingers dance. This time she opens her mouth and it looks as if she's screaming all her frustrations of the day out at her shooter but no sound is heard. A visual ripple in the air burst from her open mouth and smacks the gunman with the force of a blow and ringing his bell. She quickly finds cover again.

Bannon turns into his next attack, but finds his opponent down on the ground thanks to a well-timed attack and drag by a hyena. He looks around, pops his eyebrows up once and emits a laugh that is scarily close to hyena's own. He drops the tip of his sword down and stabs downwards, sinking the rapier deep into the skin as the airman states grandly, "Look at me! I'm the captain now."

This whole trip has been a series of things going sideways till Davienne is just irritated and pissed. She has no problem killing someone willing to take her hostage. And so the next round fired hits the person she shot before quite solidly. "I had a full quiver and can fire faster than you shooters, you pile of oozing anuses!"

Shilde's eyes widen when people start pointing at her. People with guns. So she does what any sensible person would do... she looks for cover. And finding none really nearby, she instead gets her shield up and does her best to make herself as small a target as possible while Rocky and the Hyena continue to do her work for her, the former bringing quarry down.. the later mostly contributing that terrifying, not quite human giggle to the combat noise.

More bullets aare fired off as others reload their guns. Their numbers are a little smaller now, for obvious reasons, and some of them are putting their hands up even as others are still gunning for you. Shidle takes a shot from one of those guns to the back of her head and she is going to have QUITE the concussion as a result, but the rest of you are just banged up by it.

Significantly banged up.

"Surrender now?" asks the woman on the ground, looking up at Bannon.

She looks hopeful.

Not very hopeful.

GAME: Bannon rolls Diplomacy: (15)+11: 26

Bannon smirks, the tip of his sword hovering not too far from the downed leader of the Ruby Gang, "We accept your surrendor now. Order your men to drop their guns, and tell me where the officers and crew of this airship is." He then calls out, "They've surrendored! Gather up their weapons and prepare to brig them!"


GAME: Davienne rolls intimidate: (14)+0: 14

Davienne's lip curls and as Bannon attempts diplomacy she adds her brand to it. Firing an arrow to land in the wood by the girl's ear. "I really suggest you not try anything funny," Growls the half-syl. Her mismatched eyes are burning and she looks one bowstring away from just straight up shooting them anyway.


"... okay, I think we've been licked. Adventurers, huh? Gotcha," says the girl on the ground. She has her hands up.

"Tell you whatg. WE'll go down nice and easy, and we'll even tell you w here we stashed the crew, if you let us out of here."


With the attack called off, the Ruby Gang seems find with escaping. They ditch the airship,. and their leader takes off her hat (and yes, she's a ginger) and leads the way through the airship to the larder, where the crew has been locked inside. They appear to be unconscious, which fits what she said. They drugged them with sedatives to keep them from warning you. None of them are too worse for wear, a little bit banged up, and it seems you're going to have to wait a while to get out of here for them to recover.

Ruby herself is definitely eager to get out of here, and presuming you keep your word, will.

Baron Sharpton curses. A lot.
