- Summary: Fosse, an eccentric and foreign silk merchant claims his children have been kidnapped by Bludgoons. Auranar, Culix, and Shilde answer the call to arms and promise to assist the man in recovering his lost children and are led to an abandoned, off-the-main-road theatre known as the Ogre's Den. Culix performs reconnaissance while Auranar and Shilde get to know their employer better. The gobber retreats after a near-miss and the group decides to enter and make the exchange.
Shilde is confronted by a face from the past and negotiations take a turn for the worse. Combat seems inevitable.
