This is the home of the dragons of the world and the resting ground of the ancient celestial parents of dragon kind. Some of the dragons of this realm are near deity-like in the scope of their power, having been formed from the very essence of the twin dragon-gods during the beginning of time. The mighty astral dragons such as rumored Millennium Dragon dwell here and are aloof and beyond the travails of dragon kind in the mortal world. Even the concerns of the earthbound dragon-kings on Gaea are beneath the lords of The World of Wings and Flames. The dragons are native to this realm and came to Gaea at the behest of the gods in order to help safeguard it and nurture it. When the dragons were mandated to return to The World of Wings and Flame to allow the mortal world to mature and grow on its own, many of them refused and though ages have passed, dragons still remain a constant presence and influence upon Gaea. Back in the World of Wings and Flame itself, some dragons still wage their ongoing conflicts and other dragons of kinds never before seen on Gaea thrive. Though known as The World of Wings and Flames, it manifests itself as a great sprawling wilderness from which a single mountain rises up in the center. The base of this seemingly infinitely large mountain contains terrain features of all types from volcanic regions to sprawling endless forests to immense planar swamps and even golden glittering deserts. The spirits of departed dragons dwell near the very summit of the mountain which is the domain of The Millennium Dragon and his people. Dragons do not tolerate extensive settlements from other species in this realm although some have been known to live out lives as hermits in the shadows of these great behemoths.
