The ourch continue their attack, one of them managing to pierce right through Iskandar's armor with a ghostly hand. Meanwhile the elves have grabbed ahold of one of their own, bearing him to the ground where he is struggling against even their combined strength.

Growling, the Sunblade known as Lysa is doing her best impression of a vampire slayer. She's already cut the master vampire -deep-, the power of Daeus driving her blade through its defensive magics and slashing at him. But this time, she swipes her blade upwards, the tip of it passing just by the creature's face before she steps forward, twists, spins and stabs the end of her sword into the torso of the vampire. "Vampires cannot be being standing against a Sunblade." she intones.

The vampire looks down at the weapon that had so neatly cut a deep line in his throat; spilling blood down his front and which is now pierced through his middle like an exclamation mark. One hand rises to his neck and the wound is already closing. Still his fingers come away stained with blood and he rocks himself forward; deeper onto the blade. "And yet I stand sweet friend. And as tempting as you look... my mistress calls." He touches her cheek and his burning green eyes peer into hers. "But you will use this lovely blade of yours on your companions yes? Spill their blood for me."

He moves backwards a step, beyond the reach of the blade; pulling off of it with unnatural ease. Then just as suddenly as he came he disappears. His blood though marks the blade he was cut with; the ground he stood upon leaving these stains in his wake and a command that can not be shaken.

Merek lifts up a hand to draw from the holy planes a spear made with golden light which he then sends clean into one of those oruch creatures. He then takes a moment to step about into the back lines again as well. He is avoiding being in their range.

Iskandar glares at the Howler that struck him. He moves to retaliate but before he can swing a fist, it's struck down by the spear. Instead he shifts to the next one, swinging a wide blow that brings the edge of his knuckled into violent contact with the fallen Oruch's temple.

In his usual lack of urgency for combat, Selerik steps around in the background making the occasional arcane gesture while weaving a supportive bit of leaderly banter mixed with ridicule for the opposition. "Did you hear the one about the Orc and the Necromancer? They're having a drink, and the Necromancer complained that orcish corpses never listen to commands. The Orc complained that every time he gets drunk, there is some guy in black robes chanting when he wakes up."

Elisabeth side-steps, as Merek backs away, to threaten the oruchs that'd menaced the wizard. Even as she does, she slashes her blade out at the one that'd come at her, cutting it nicely. Her strike at Merek's harasser, however, is evaded by that target as it lunges after its original target.

The ghastly ourch attack again though one falls to the ground thanks to Selerik's efforts. The other however manages to hit Elisabeth, inciting her rage.

Merek makes his way to one of the howlers so he can use magic on it from the holy plane, but it looks like he barely manages to get close to it, still it doesn't actually manage.

Even in throws if the howler-induced rage, Iskandar recognized the threat of Lysa's sword. He flinches back to avoid one blow, then tries to catch the warrior's sword arm before she can attack again. To no avail. "What are you doing?!" he bellows at Lysa. "It's me, Iskandar!"

Swiping once, then a second time at Iskandar, Lysa growls and when she is spoken to, she responds, "The master commands that you must die!"

"Have you considered that you are your own master?" Selerik's banter is combined with the usual arcane gestures, a whiff of smoke as the magic flows. "That you can make your own decisions on who to focus on, and why not yourself?" Though that doesn't mean he'll get it work right off. Might take a little extra convincing.

Elisabeth screams, angrily, as she clashes with the oruchs in her immediate area... and a flash of light emanates from her, rolling across the battlefield like an explosion. However, this 'explosion' seems to have no force to it... except against the ghostly, undead oruchs. THEY clearly feel it, although they seemed to brace themselves against the wash of light as if to mitigate its effect on them.
