RP: Shopping - part 2

The door to the shop opens, unheld by any hand, and in walks Aznara, as always making a gesture as she's inside... a gesture to which the door gently closes on its own. "Hello, Sandiel?", she calls out, although not -too- terribly loudly, as she enters.

Rising up from hehind her coutner, where she'd been working on something beneath it, Sandy peeks over it at her and says, "Yeah?" Purple hair is blown out of her eyes.

"Pardon my interruption", Aznara says, as she approaches the counter. "... but you had asked me to stop by, this evening, to see if my ordered clothing was ready?", she finishes.

"It's a store. You don't need my permission to enter," says Sandy with a snort, "and you're not interrupting. Was just sorting some things." She lifts herself up and leans on the counter directly. "Yeah, they're good." And with that, she goes to produce two sets of clothing and lay them on the counter.

Aznara looks a little sheepish, for being told that her attempt at politeness (especially towards someone with the kind of powers she's seen is available to Sandy) wasn't actually needed. She watches while the two sets of clothing are laid out, and her eyes widen at what she sees, a smile touching her lips. "These are lovely", she says in a quiet voice. "I thought you weren't possibly serious about having even one ready by today! You certainly do know your craft to produce such quality garments in so short a time!", she adds, lifting a blouse to look at it, then setting it aside to pick up and run her hands over a pair of trousers. "Even the parts that designed to receive the least attention are soft, and appear to be so very well made."

"Magical cheatery helps,' says Sandy, wiggling her fingers at Aznara in the process. "Mind you, I did not exactly measure you so it might be a litle snug in places still. I can fix that. Go on. Try them on." She gives a ndo towards the fitting area and then moves to hop up onto the counter to wait.

Aznara nods, then seems to realize something. "I do not see the corset", she mentions as she gathers clothing up into her arms. "Yes, I'd love to test the fit!", she says, apparently happy and a little excited, too, at a chance to try on her new clothing. Off to the changing area she goes, stepping around the screen.

"Ah, shit. I nearly forgot," says Sandy. She hunkers back down behind the counter for a moment. She FORGOT the corset. "Must've left it down here somewhere..." Rummaging sounds.

Eventually, a corset is flung out towards Aznara. She rises back u from behind the counter afterwards. "There you go," she tells her, bluntly. She gives her a once over, thoughful and considerate. "It /looks/ right," she adds, golden eyes fixed on her. "Definitely seems like it should do the job. Try the other one when you're ready," she adds, scratching at her ear and making the piercing through it shake.

Aznara catches the corset when it's flung, and heads back behind the screen. As she changes, she tosses garments she's already tried on over the top of the screen. It's not very long at all before she's stepping back out in the other jacket, moving her arms about again. This time, she doesn't move like she did before. "This jacket seems as well-fitted as the other... although the trousers feel a bit tight", she says, gesturing to her thighs, then patting at her backside. "Here and here..."

"Yeah?" Sandy squint at her. Then moves around to stand behind her and, well... Look at her backside. SQUINT. SQUINT.

Aznara lifts the tails of the jacket to afford the seamstress a better view... this is, after all, a part of getting things like clothing properly fitted!

"May I touch?" asks Sandy. Politely.

Aznara nods. "If you need to do so to determine where alterations need be made", she says, simply, she even starts undoing the jacket she's wearing, to get it completely out of the way, tossing it over the top of the screen, before standing there, feet about shoulder width apart, and her arms raised, wearing just the trousers and the white blouse that was under the jacket. She's even barefoot, having not put on her boots, even when trying on the first outfit.

"I need to feel where it's tight, yes," Mostly, this involves her pulling on the trousers a little bit to see wher its snug and where it's not. She's musing, thoughtfully, as she does. "Mmn. This is tight. You're right," she admits. "I must've underestimated."

Aznara purses her lips, and asks, flatly, "did you just call me fat?" ... then she giggles softly, the flat expression breaking with the soft laughter. "... my family's seamstress used to say the same, often enough. I'm... a -little curvier there than others, I suppose. To be honest, however, the waistline feels a bit more loose than on the other set", she adds, reaching down to tug at the waistline with her thumbs.

"...no. You're not fat. /I'm/ fat," says Sandy. And, really, she kind of is! For a shadow elf, especially, but it does give her some nice curves of her own. She leans back to inspect her. "Eh, you're fine. Just give me a moment. I'll adjust." Her cheeks color a little. Sometimes, being a tailor puts you in awkward positions.

Aznara doesn't reply to what Sandy says, instead turning to go back behind the screen. The pair of trousers she was just wearing are hung over a part of the screen separate from the other clothing so hung, as she goes about changing into the third outfit. Before long, she steps out, wearing the corset... although it's worn loose, with only a few of the front-side latches done. "Would you help me with the lacing on this, please?", she asks.

"Ah, sure," says Sandy. And she steps behind her to help with the lacing, of course, muttering to herself the whole while.

Aznara undoes the latches, though she holds the front of the corset closed almost all the way, with her hands, at least until the lacings are snugged up appropriately, then she re-does the latches... then sort of wiggles her upper body around as she lifts and lowers her arms. "I think that feels right...?", she says, in a questioning tone, as she turns slowly to let Sandy look at how the corset's fit on her body.

Sandy clears her throat. "Good," She says, firmly, "I'm glad. It looks like it should do the job nicely." A nod follows. She plaes her hands together behind her back.

Aznara nods and, as she did before with the first jacket, moves about as if testing the fit of the trousers and the corset she's currently wearing. "These all seem good", she says, after a few moments. "Let me change back out and we can begin discussing the charges for these things?", she suggests, already moving back behind the screen.

"Excellent," says Sandy, moving away. She sits back down on the counter to wait, leaning back on her hands. And, well... waits.

Before long, Aznara's back to the counter, dropping off some of the new clothing on the counter. She makes a second trip, bringing back the rest of the clothing, setting aside the trousers that were ill-fitted. "How much do you feel is appropriate for your work, Lady Sandiel?", she asks.

"For the time an labor and materials? Three gold," says Sandy. It's a good sum for the work, not out of the ordinary of what you'd pay for similar arrangement anywhere. Certainly, she doesn't have any issues charging a fair price fo her work.

"For the quality I see? Are you certain you're not underselling your work?", Aznara says, as she goes into one of her pouches for the money -- without even trying to haggle the price down. Clearly, the clothing's impressed her.

"It's a fair price," says Sandy, firmly, turning her gaze away from Aznara.

"Why did you leave?" She asks her.

Aznara is quiet for a bit, looking away from Sandy. After several heartbeats, she looks back at the other woman. She looks a little uncertain, but asks, "Would you tell me, first, why you left?"

"I was never there," is Sandy's answer. "I wasn't raised amongst our mutual people, even if its left its mark on both of us. Taara's tits, but it left a mark."

Aznara frowns a little, and hesitates as if pondering what to say. "Although I found that my greater reverence for Vaire than for Taara wasn't popular... there is a greater reason, for me. I dislike the yoke of oppression kept in place by those in power through outright lies told to the lesser-born by those of higher station", she finally says, firmly, after quite a pause. She puts three gold coins down on the countertop when she's finished speaking.

"She still has her mark on you like she does all of us, bound at our birth," grumbles Sandy, obviously finding this displeased. "Or through any number of other means." She does give a nod. "AN uncommon view to have come to on your own," she adds.

"Her having a mark doesn't mean that others should control me or anyone else through lies. It's just not right", Aznara says. "Shall I return tomorrow, then, after you've had opportunity to finish it all?", she asks, with a gesture to the clothing.

"That would be lovely," says Sandy, firmly, "I'll finish the modifications and they'll be ready for you." She offers a slightly fangy smile.

Aznara nods and turns to leave the store.
