Above the sky is cloudy and gray, but this particular district has become all of the sudden quite busy with nobles in their opulent clothing walking down the streets or being carried by different convances to their homes. Thus one lone mul'niessan man stands out amid them, and does he. In his black clothing accented with red, and the silver earrings that adorn his long tapered ears Daechir stands out like a statement among the flowers of nobility. His clothing may be no less fine than theirs, but his heritage wouldn't have allowed him to hide his nature even had he wanted to, and it's clear from his choice in attire that he has no such desire.

Walking along looking almost exclusively up at the spires and airships, Aetheras is Exhibit A for newly arrived to the great city. Perhaps he is here on some sort of business that requires stamps and signatures and filing in triplicate, as he is carrying a portfolio in one hand, but he is not thinking about that. In fact, he is in danger of colliding straight into the only other person who appears to share the rathe unusual combination of circumstances Aetheras enjoys, namely: on foot but not on an errand.

Thankfully, Daechir is paying close enough attention to where he is going to stop the collison that nearly takes place, neatly coming to a stop and twisting to the side to avoid the other man whom appeared seemingly out of nowhere thanks to the number of people on the streets. A gentle smile runs over Daed's lips and the mul quickly takes in clothes that clearly mark the other man as not belonging here. "Careful there." Red eyes flicker toward the portfolio and then back to Aetheras. "Where are you going in such a hurry, perhaps I can give you better directions than 'through me'." Now he's certainly smiling.

Aetheras startles as he's spoken to and nearly touched. But his ultra-apologetic look takes on a happier demeanor as he sees the fellow Mul'niessa.

"Apologies and well met!" he says, palm to heart, "I....it is not like me at all, but the airships," he says, pointing up at the sky with the folio. "The airships are wondrous. Simply Wondrous." He glances up again then remembers his manners, "but do excuse me, I forget myself. I am Aetheras, and I'm doubly pleased to meet you--for your kind words and our shared ancestry." He smiles and bows with astonishing grace.

Daechir lets out a little low laugh that echoes with the sound of a gentle bell chiming and seems to reconsider the man before him. "I think that might be the first time that someone has sait they were pleased to meet me because of my ancestry since coming to Alexandria." His red eyes twinkle with good will. "I am Daechir, but if you will... call me Daed. I much prefer it. So I take it that you are new to Alexandria?"

"Well met indeed, Daed! Though the name is almost as curious as your extravagant attire? Are you a courtier?" asks the filter-less Mul, then startles himself and adds, "Yes, very, a season or less, and new to freedom as well," he adds, inhaling deeply to center himself away from thoughts of the gladiator pits.

"Curious... Ah... Have you heard of the Calithailin family then?" Daechir looks slightly more curious now, but the rest of what Aethras says makes his red eyes darken. "Ah, I am sorry to hear that. I live in this district actually, my mother's family owns a home here. Which, I welcome you to join me in, I am curious to hear your story if you have time to tell it in."

Aetheras raises a brow. "No, I must admit I have not. I was not a decade old when I was taken by the flesh-merchants of the Vast," he says, speaking now in Undercommon and much more quietly. "I've recently accepted accommodation at the Arcanists School, but I will say the idea of a respite amongst the spires sounds wondrous...if you truly have so much room to spare and such overflowing generosity, I will not say no to some nights here and some nights there? And I do not have to be asked twice to share my tale."

"The Vast then." Daechir shakes his head and motions for Aetheras to follow him. "It would be my pleasure to offer you a respite, I do not often have the pleasure of company and even more rarely is that company a pleasure." He smiles a touch sadly and leads the way toward his own home which is not far distant. "I would not keep you from your studies, but consider my invitation an open one. You are free to visit my estate when you will."

"This city is full of wonders and receives everyone with open arms, truly!" exclaims Aetheras, starting to walk along with Daed, excitement visible on his face and in his movements, which now that he is focused, are quite feline in their fluidity.

"In all honesty, I've not slept much. The dormitories are cacophonous and if your generosity extends to a full night's sleep, I will gladly endeavor to meet your expectations as to the quality of my company over breakfast!"

Daechir chuckles gently. "I hope that my cook will be as excited for the extra mouth to feed as you are to eat." He seems amused with the thought, and eventually his home comes into view. It's an older model home, but it is in very fine condition. In fact it looks rather ordinary surrounded as it is by other homes in a similar fashion. The only difference is that Daechir has more of a garden in the back than the other homes do.
