Getting to the point

Erendriel is wandering around a bit. In one hand is a large hunk of bread, and she's nibbling on that as she walks. In the other hand is nothing, except for the little jets of fire she shoots out at various rocks on the ground as she walks.

Kyn is kneeling on the grass in the opening, seemingly in prayer for a moment as he softly mutters, his head facing the sky. He turns towards the new sound as his jaw drops before closing it and standing up, wiping away what dirt and grass comes off his clothes as he begins to walk towards the pointy eared magical fire person. "E-excuse me." he says as he gets closer, hoping to stop the fire thrower before he looses her, smiling brightly as he quickens his pace to a light jog to catch up.

Erendriel fires off another shot as she swallows another bite of bread. As she's thena pproached, and addressed, she turns around and gives a little wave. "Hi?"

Kyn eyes almost seem to shine with curiosity as he gets close enough for conversation "Hello, I'm Kyn, I hope I'm not being a bother but I was hoping that I could ask you some questions miss." he says as he stares at her ears before looking towards his hands like a bird who spotted something shiny before face palming and offering his hand in greetings.

Erendriel smirks and nods to him. "Yes, I have ears," she explains as she does take his hand briefly. "Never seen them before?"

Kyn shakes his head "Well, yes I've seen ears but not pointy ones, were you in an accident? Do they get caught on things? Oh Oh! Your umm...I'm sorry if I'm being rude, simply excited." he says as he grins sheepishly, before he looks towards his hand "One would think your hand would be quite hot! Can you naturally use fire? Are you a dragon?!" he asks with even more excitement as his eye brows almost touch his hair.

Erendriel glances at her hand, then back to him. She shrugs, and sends another shot of fire at the ground. "This fire isn't very hot. It would barely hurt you, but I would never even feel it. Yes I've always had fire. I've always had ears as well. You must be.. new here if you've never seen ears like mine before."

Kyn nods before looking down and letting her hand go with a sheepish chuckle "I'm new here...do most people have pointy ears here?" he asks curiously as he rubs his bare chin, still smiling happily before continuing up "And can most can conjure fire, Wait! Can you do...magic?" he asks, the magic part said with a almost child like excitement to it, like he's never seen magic before much less heard of it. His hands go to his necklace holding it tightly for anticipation of her answer.

Erendriel giggles and folds her hands behind her head. "No. Only the Sildanyari have ears like mine. Or Half, like me. And yes I can do magic. That's what this fire. Most people can't do any of that. So where are you from?"

Kyn tilts his head "So your part Sildanyari?" he says, sounding the word out carefully, trying his best to say it right before his eyes could almost pop out of his head "Are you a wizard then!" he almosts shouts "Thats amazing! I never thought I would see magic before! Much less fire spouting hands or point ears or magic lamps..." he continues to ramble on before coughing and catching himself before he makes himself a fool...or more of a fool "Err yes, I'm from a small village a far ways off from here, don't think we're even on a map." he says before playing with his ear, he tries to make it pointy but fails and winces as he hurts himself "Where are you from miss? Oh! And your name? Terribly sorry, I forgot to ask! Can you hear better then people without pointy ears?" he asks as he lets go of his necklace.

Erendriel lowers her hands again, so she can have another bite of bread as Kyn gets so excited. "So many questions." She then giggles again. "I'm Erendriel. I'm from Sendor. And I don't think the shape of my ears has anything to do with how well I can hear, sorry. And you're going to see a lot of magic in a very big city like this one. You're oging to see a lot of a lot of things."

Kyn broadens his smile "Very nice to meet you lady Erendriel!" he says before she continues to talk and his mouth drops before his hands go to make the universal sign of prayer as he looks towards the sky and mutters in a language that sounds smooth and soft to the ears, flowing gently (Celestial). After he's done he looks back "How big is this city? I've only been to a couple of parts, and what type of things? Forgive me for the questions once again, this is all so new to me." he says with a small chuckle of his own.

Erendriel points around. "Alexandria is a major trading port city. It's a lot larger than any village you're ever going to see. People come here from everywhere. So why did you come?"

Kyn shrugs "No particular reason, I just saw it from a distance, didn't even know it was Alexandria until I got here, I was simply on the roads." he says as he tilts his head "What about you? You must of came here to make use of your magic yes? I bet you get lots of jobs to take care of things." he says confidently with a smile as he pulls his hood off to let the sun light rest on his features.

Erendriel smiles faintly. "I came here to come to a place where I wouldn't be treated... weirdly for being half Sildanyar." she explains with a nod. "And there are lots of ways to get jobs here if you're willing to work hard, and take risks."

Kyn looks confused "Why would you be treated weirdly? Are most beautiful people treated weirdly around here?" he asks seriously before chuckling "I just took some work at the temple, its a small amount of money but sweeping the floors is an honest job, but what kind of jobs are there?" he asks, curiousity over taking him as he chuckles "I finally got you to smile, any day someone smiles is a good day." he says before laughing happily.

Erendriel takes another bite of bread, and considers him. "Well it depends on what you can do. People who can use magic, or are very good with weapons, or things like that, can take jobs in the area to handle dangerous things. What are you good at? And well, people treat weirdly things they're not used to. Asking lots of questions, staring, that sort of thing."

Kyn frowns "The audacity of people who do that are-" he stops as he realizes he's been doing the exact thing the entire time "I'm so sorry!" he says before chuckling "I know how to swing a blade, but thats about it, I'm just a simple priest who knows a thing or two, not a high class warrior or a powerful wizard like you." he says with a grin "So how long have you been doing such dangerous work? You must be good at it if you can conjure fire at a whim." he says, impressed as he rubs his chin in thought.

Erendriel shrugs "You're fine. There's a difference between you asking me questions one time, and me being looked at by half tghe village all the time. Completely different. And I've been here a few months now I guess? Half a year maybe? If you're a priest who can use a sword, you can probably get the guild to hire you for things."

Kyn wipes his brow "Oh, I'm glad, I thought I offended you." he says as he listens with a nod here and there before chuckling "If the guild needs someone to due a sermon I'm sure I will be of use." he says with another chuckle "But I will look into it, but I have to go now, I have rights to do at the temple, other wise the head priest will be mad, it was nice to meet you again and I'll see you around Lady Erendriel!" he says as he goes to run off, the sun pattern on his back moving with the cloak as he runs off, tripping over a plant before getting up to continue running.
